Author's Note:
Sorry about the lateness of this chapter. * bows *
Between having laptop issues, being sick, and real life, I kind of got behind updating. But now that I have a new laptop, there won't be any more issues regarding that.
I am starting a new story arc that will most likely cover 2 or 3 chapters, depending on how much I want to cover and will contain elements from the 'Oh My Goddess' anime, manga, and movie.
This new chapter picks up 2 weeks after Moka and Tsukune confess their love to each other. (Love Potion Number 9)
Any and all feedback or comments are welcomed and appreciated. Please enjoy.
Just remember: I will do my best to stay close to canon but there will be no Lemons until the end of the story with the occasional Lime here and there.
A big thank you to Toroka 25 on Deviant Art for his inspiration on the upcoming story arc which this chapter will lead into. :)
By the way, this chapter hasn't been beta read yet so please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors you may encounter!
Enough rambling! Onto the new chapter! Please enjoy.
...
Saturday, July 27. Tariki Hongan Temple. Nekomi, Japan.
It was a quiet, warm evening at the Temple.
Everyone was ready for a peaceful night's slumber since it was a rather long day for a certain, young, mechanic.
Tsukune had won first place at the intercollegiate drag race competition with the motorcycle he had built with his own, two, hands. It was more of a last-minute, group effort since his sempai helped out with the calculations to get the bike properly balanced due to the fact that it was a twin-engine design and was hard to handle at first.
Moka was very proud of her boyfriend and smiled the entire time when he was awarded his trophy, which was placed in the Motor Club's clubhouse afterward for all to admire.
However, the quiet night was soon interrupted by an unexpected and late telephone-call.
With a sigh, Kurumu slid her bedroom door open and floated down the hallway to answer the offensive device before it woke up the rest of the household. She set down on the wooden floor in front of the small, wooden, desk, just as she picked up the phone's receiver.
"Aono residence. This is Kurumu speaking," she answered with a hint of agitation in her usual, sweet, voice.
"Kurumu it is I," the male voice boomed on the other end of the phone-call.
"Almighty One! Um... what do I owe the pleasure of your call?" the blue-haired Norn of the Past inquired with a sweat-drop.
"Drop the formalities, daughter. I have called to inform you that I am issuing an emergency recall notice. You and your sisters must return to Asgard within forty-eight hours time," He replied with authority.
"Emergency recall? What's going on, Father? And what about my suspension?" Kurumu asked with concern.
"I have been informed by an unknown party that the Demons are planning to hack into Yggdrasil. I need all goddesses with a Second Class license or higher to prevent that from happening. I understand that Moka has an on-going contract with the mortal Tsukune Aono, hence the forty-eight hour notice. I am not certain how long it will take to prevent this incident and I have canceled your punishment due to this recent development. It is paramount that she returns as this could somehow be related to her, which I am not certain of as of yet. After you three return to Asgard, I will be closing all of the Bifrost gateways until further notice. I have spoken."
The line then went silent.
Kurumu remained firmly glued in place as a variety of emotions played across her face from shock, disappointment, and then to anger.
She knew her mother Aghea, the Daimakaichō must be behind the planned attack on Asgard and had no idea what else to think. She then set the receiver down and walked down the hallway to inform her younger siblings of her chat with Him.
…
"But what about our contract?" Tsukune asked as he sat next to Moka at the low table in the tea room shortly after the initial disruption more or less wore off.
"Our contract is still valid, that much I am certain of," Moka calmly explained as she held his hand in her own.
The youngest of the Norns, Yukari, was just as upset as her sisters were, but knew that the Almighty One's word was iron-clad and was futile to go against since it was a direct order to begin with.
"Hey relax, kiddo. These things happen all the time. I'm sure it's not a big deal and is probably just a rumor," Kurumu said as she saw just how distressed her mortal friend was since it affected him more than the sisters themselves.
Friend.
That's how she saw Tsukune now that she had gotten to know him better. He was the one whose decision it was to allow her to stay with himself and Moka anyway and for that she was rather grateful for.
"Well, it's still kinda upsetting," Tsukune sadly replied which his pink-haired girlfriend picked up on immediately.
"Then why don't we all do something tomorrow? Seeing you all depressed like this is making me depressed and I don't like it one bit," Yukari said as she slammed both of her hands on the table.
"Yukari..." Moka said with a small smile on her lips.
"Hey, that's not a bad idea, squirt. I saw a flier for a festival they're holding by the river tomorrow. Why don't we make a day of it?" Kurumu suggested with an enthusiastic fist-pump.
"Oh that's an excellent idea, sister," Moka happily agreed with a bright smile.
"A festival, huh? That sounds like a plan. I wonder how long it's been since I've actually been to one?" Tsukune replied once he gave her idea some thought.
He vaguely recalled attending a festival of sorts when he was much younger but could not exactly remember when it was or who he had gone with. It was almost as a piece of his memory was missing, if he were to take an educated guess, but was unsure as of why.
Yukari just eyed Kurumu and wondered to herself if her elder sister was up to something or not per her usual habit, but decided to not say a word about it since Moka and Tsukune both happily gave their vocal approval.
"It's settled then. I guess we should try to get some sleep tonight. And you two need to keep it down. I can hear the both of ya' moaning like crazy and I do need my beauty sleep, ya' know," Kurumu said with a wink and a laugh as she sat up and walked out of the tea room.
"Kurumu you stupid milk-cow! What the heck did you have to say that for?! Now I'm going to have nightmares tonight, you big jerk!" Yukari loudly complained as she jumped up from the floor and ran after her tease of an elder sister.
Tsukune and Moka both blushed hard from what Kurumu had just said. Joke or not, it was somewhat true since Moka did have a habit of being too vocal whenever her and Tsukune kissed each other.
It's not like she could actually help it since he was such a great kisser, she thought to herself.
…
"Tsukune?" Moka said as she lay down next to her boyfriend in their shared bed,
"Yeah, Moka?" he replied as he turned to his right and faced her. He could see that she was rather rattled by the sudden recall notice and was obviously troubled about it.
"I'm sorry about this," she said as she reached over to him and buried her head against his bare chest. He then gently wrapped his arms around her shoulders and held her protectively and affectionately.
"Shh. It's not your fault Moka."
"But – but I - don't know how long we'll have to - stay in Asgard..." she said in-between sniffles.
"Hey, I'll wait for you for as long as it takes. You know I love you Moka and that fact will never change. No matter what happens, I know my place is by your side," he said as he offered her a warm, reassuring smile.
"And I love you Tsukune. I love you so much and will miss you dearly. I don't want to almost lose you again," Moka boldly confessed before she realized that she had said too much as she often did due to her emotions.
"Lose me again? What do you mean, Moka?" he asked as he pried himself away from her and held her hands in his own.
"Well, the thing is... you almost died a few weeks ago," she said as she averted his eyes momentarily.
"What? I almost died? How? When?" he yelped which startled the goddess next to him.
"When we went to Akihabara. Kurumu and Yukari had a big fight... she ran into the street and fell in the middle of the road. You dashed out into the traffic and – saved Yukari's life. A car then hit you and... and you ended up in the hospital. You were... in a coma... so my sisters and I... we... we... went back in time and prevented that event... from ever... ever... happening. I'm sorry that I kept this from you Tsukune... I am so, so sorry..." Moka said as the painful memory bubbled to the surface.
The pink-haired deity then broke down and sobbed heavily. Once again, Tsukune held her close and refused to let go until she ceased her crying fit.
The young mechanic had a difficult time accepting what Moka had just confessed to him even though it was the truth.
That was one thing that he could always count on: her unbridled honesty.
Even though she had kept that tidbit of information classified, she did not mean to hide it from him, of course. Besides, she could never tell a lie, no matter how small it was, after-all.
…
Several minutes later, Moka eventually calmed herself down enough that she could face her best friend and boyfriend. Besides, she had a lot of explaining to do.
"Tsukune... you're not mad, are you?" she asked hesitantly.
"Uh, no. I'm just shocked I guess," he said as she held his hands lovingly.
"I see. Um... well, the thing is... my sisters and I are what you'd call the Norns," she said.
"Norns?" he inquired.
"Yes. We watch over the flow of time itself. Kurumu watches over the past, I the present, and Yukari the future. We had to cast a time-displacement spell and went back a few hours to the point in space-time and stopped you from being hit by the car," she explained.
"So you're saying that you can – time-travel?" he asked with a quirked brow.
"In the simplest of terms, yes. Even though we are not to do so for personal reasons nor gain, we did so anyway because neither of us wanted to lose you," Moka said with a sigh. She felt much better now that the "cat were out of the bag", if it were.
"I see. And here I thought that Yukari hated me because I took you away from her," he answered as he attempted to digest even more information than he had bargained for.
Time-travel only happened in fantasy and sci-fi stories, right? The idea alone sounded ludicrous, but Moka and her sisters did have some extraordinary abilities; that much he was certain of and life had not been boring at least.
"Yukari had blamed herself for your hospitalization and was very upset about it. It was her idea in the first place. Kurumu was the one who cast the spell since we had to go into the past, even if it were only a few hours or so," Moka said.
"So you made it like it never happened, right?"
"Yes. You could say that we created an alternate time-line where you are well and not – at death's door," she answered with a sniffle.
"Thank you Moka," he said as he pulled his goddess close and kissed her passionately on her pink, pouty, lips. Moka moaned happily into his mouth which only added to his growing desire for his one-and-only.
…
The next day, Sunday July 28th.
"I can't believe you actually told him that, big sis," Yukari said with an exasperated sigh as she was getting dressed for the summer festival.
It was early evening by the time they had gotten ready since a huge storm swept through their area and now was long gone. Even though the ground was still damp from the day-long rain shower, everyone looked forward to having some last-minute fun as a group.
"I had to Yukari. I don't want to leave like this and hold any more secrets from him," Moka countered as she checked her reflection in the wall-mounted, full-length, mirror. She had decided to wear a beautiful yukata, light pink in color with a silver obi, along with matching geta (sandals). To complete her look, she held in her left hand a small purse of the same pink hue.
Yukari's was mint green in color along with a gold obi.
"That may be true but you're still keeping secrets, big sis," Yukari said as she walked over to the same mirror and admired her own reflection. She had to admit, she did look nice in traditional, Japanese, clothes. Not only that but it was very comfortable as a bonus.
"Hey, are you two gonna argue all day or what? I wanna get goin' and Tsukune's waitin' to see how cute you look," Kurumu said as she walked into Moka's bedroom to see what took her sisters so long to get ready for as they had all day to do so.
The eldest of the three sisters wore a yukata as well; hers was deep lavender with a light blue obi which matched her hair. The sisters all wore their hair pinned up in buns and held in place with color-coordinated combs.
"Oh, sorry about that, sister," Moka said as she shooed Yukari and Kurumu out of the bedroom she shared with Tsukune.
"It's okay. Let's go already!" Kurumu replied impatiently.
They then each walked into the tea room to a patiently-waiting Tsukune. His mouth dropped open and hit the floor when he saw just how gorgeous his Moka looked in her summertime yukata.
"Moka... you look really... beautiful," he replied with a bright blush once his brain decided to work again.
"Thank you Tsukune. You look very nice yourself," his pink-haired girlfriend said with a blush of her own across her cheeks. His yukata was royal blue in color with a same-hued obi and geta.
"Oh... um... thanks. You girls all look very nice," he said with a warm smile which caused both Kurumu and Yukari to slightly blush at his honest compliment.
The other, two sisters both muttered a quick "thank you" as they left the house. After Tsukune locked the door behind him, he led the ladies down the road and in the direction of the riverside festival.
Since it had rained for the majority of the day, the air was thankfully, much cooler than it normally was as it was late July.
Tsukune held Moka's hand per his usual custom which Yukari said not a word about. She wanted her big sis Moka's last day on Earth before heading back to Asgard to be an unforgettable one and would do her best to be sure of that, no matter how many times she had to remind herself.
If not, she knew that she would get an ear-full from Kurumu, anyway.
…
As the quartet reached the festival grounds shortly after, they saw for themselves just how lively it was.
Luckily it was not as packed as most Japanese festivals usually were and was easy to navigate. There were several dozen booths set up which offered food of every kind as well as numerous merchandise vendors and games of chance.
"Wow, this is so cool, big sis!" Yukari happily exclaimed once she had taken in all the sights and sounds of the carnival-like atmosphere.
"Yeah, Yukari's right. This is pretty awesome," Kurumu agreed with a big grin.
"Well, why don't we walk over there? I'm sure you ladies would like to try out some food as I'm kinda hungry myself," Tsukune said as he nervously scratched the back of his neck with his right hand.
"I'm with you, Tsukune!" Moka gladly said with an infectious smile which her sisters mimicked without hesitation and followed him down the main corridor of the festival.
The food choices they soon discovered were staggering to say the least.
Everything from Yakisoba (fried noodles with cabbage and beef or pork), Takiyoka (fried balls of battered octopus with spices), Okonomiyaki (fried batter with cabbage, pork, and eggs), Yakitori (fried chicken on a stick) shaved ice, chocolate-covered bananas, candied apples, and so forth.
The beverage selection was rather limited though.
Cold beer, bottled water, iced tea, or Ramune.
Ramune is a carbonated soft drink originally sold in Japan which was introduced in Kobe, Japan, by Alexander Cameron Sim. Ramune is widely known for the distinctive design of its bottle, often called Codd-neck bottles after the inventor, Hiram Codd. They are made of glass and sealed with a marble; the codd head is held in place by the pressure of the carbonation in the drink. To open the bottle, a device to push the marble inward is provided. The marble is pushed inside the neck of the bottle where it rattles around while drinking. Therefore, the drinks are sometimes called "marble soda" outside of Japan and comes in literally dozens of flavors and is really good.
…
After they had debated among themselves, they mutually decided to try one of everything, much to Tsukune's chagrin. Moka however was more than happy to split the cost evenly since she could see the pain in her boyfriend's eyes.
"This is really good, Tsukune," Yukari said as she sampled several of the festival foods with great exuberance.
"Oh yes. I agree," Moka softly replied.
"Yeah, thanks you two. I'm havin' a pretty good time so far. It's too bad that Kyoko couldn't join us though since she's my drinkin' buddy," Kurumu replied as she finished off her third can of Kirin beer.
"Oh, don't worry about it. I'm just glad that you're having a good time," Tsukune said with a laugh.
"Tsukune, I was wondering... would it be all right if... I entered the karaoke contest later on at seven o'clock?" Moka asked her beau as she poked her index fingers together out of nervous habit. She took notice of a sign posted earlier by the main stage where a band was set up to play music.
"What's karaoke?" Yukari inquired due to her big sister's question as she had never heard the word before and was simply curious.
"It's basically singing to prerecorded music," Kurumu said as she popped the top of her forth beer off and chugged it down rather quickly.
"Of course Moka. I'd really love to hear you sing again," Tsukune said as he held her hand and gave it a gentle squeeze.
"Me too big sis! I'd love to hear you sing!" the youngest sister said with a huge grin.
"Oh thank you. There are also several prizes being offered as well," Moka added with a slight blush.
"What kind of prizes?" Tsukune asked as he finished off the yakisoba.
"Well, um... the first prize is an all-expense paid trip for four to Tokyo Disney," Moka answered.
"Really? That's pretty cool and I don't doubt that you can win Moka," he said.
"I must agree with Tsukune. Nobody in all of Japan has a snowball's chance in Muspelheim to beat my big sis!" Yukari shouted as she rose to her feet and then quickly sat down on the wooden bench as she realized too late that she had blurted out something she should not have but did anyway.
"Oh thank you both very much. I really do appreciate your support," Moka replied with a slight bow.
"Hey I know you can win... without question little sister, but you're forgettin' one thing; we gotta go 'home' tomorrow night, remember?" Kurumu countered with a slur and then placed her head on the table in front of her for a moment.
"Oh yes. You're right. I just forgot. I'm sorry about that," Moka said as she hung her head low out of depression as a few tears ran down her pink cheeks.
"Moka..." Tsukune offered with a sympathetic look and then hugged her from the side since they were still seated on their bench.
"What the hell's wrong with you Kurumu? I thought we came here to have some fun and put that on the back burner until tomorrow? I think big sis should enter the karaoke contest anyway. When she does win, and she will, we can always go to this Disney place after we come back here, right?" Yukari yelled as she glared daggers at her trouble-maker of an elder sibling.
Even though Kurumu did make a valid point, she opened her big mouth anyway and said something that made her middle sister distressed, and caused her to cry yet again.
"I'm sorry. I – wasn't thinking. I'm really sorry Moka... I – I – I need some time to myself. I'll see you guys later on at the contest," Kurumu said as she stood up, bowed towards Moka, and then walked away with no particular destination in mind.
"Big sis Moka! I'm sure the milk-cow didn't mean anything by it; that I'm certain of. Um, are you going to be okay?" Yukari said as she sat up and walked around to the opposite side of the table where Moka was seated next to Tsukune. She then bent down to Moka's level and gave her a brief, sisterly, hug from behind.
"Thank you Yukari," Moka said a moment later as she pulled out a white handkerchief from her small purse and wiped her cheeks and eyes of her salty tears.
"Anytime, big sis. I'm going to see where she ran off to and give her a piece of my mind. I'll be back soon, so don't worry about it big sis," Yukari said as she released Moka from her hug. Yukari then trotted off in the same direction that Kurumu had taken not two minutes earlier.
"Is she gonna be okay? I mean by herself like that?" Tsukune asked Moka with a sweat-drop as her younger sister disappeared into the crowd.
"Oh yes. Don't worry too much, Tsukune. She's just upset by what Kurumu said and wants to see how she's doing."
"I see. Well... If you say so since she's your sister and know her better than me," he said with a nervous laugh.
"Thank you for your concern. Would it be all right if we walked around for a while? I would like to spend some time – alone - with you, Tsukune," Moka said with a bashful smile as she looked into his kind, chocolate-brown, eyes.
"Of course Moka. I'd like that... um... let's go and have some fun, okay?" he said as he stood his feet and offered her his outstretched hand which she gladly accepted with a smile.
"I'm with you, Tsukune," Moka gleefully replied as she held his hand firmly as he led her around the festival grounds in search of what sort of activity they could do next.
...
"Oh Tsukune! Look, look, look! So cute!" Moka quickly exclaimed rather boisterously which caused said boyfriend to jump back and wondered what had gotten into her so suddenly.
The goddess had spotted a large, orange, stuffed tiger at the balloon dart booth, apparently. Tsukune snickered at her childlike enthusiasm and found it to be something that Yukari would most likely do instead if he had to take a guess.
The object of the carnival-type game was rather simple.
Burst three balloons in a row and you have your choice of prizes. It was an easy game, but depended on sheer luck, let alone skill. Tsukune paid the booth attendant the 500 yen for five darts.
"You can do it, love," Moka happily cheered.
'I can do this… for Moka… I want to see that smile of hers always,' he thought to himself as he picked up the first of his darts and tossed it at the rows of balloons.
Pop!
Pop!
Pop!
"Congratulations, mister. So, what's it going to be? Any prize is yours," inquired the attendant as he pointed to numerous plush animals which were suspended from the ceiling of the booth and nick-knacks that were set up on wooden, display shelves.
"I'll take that big, orange tiger, please," Tsukune replied as he motioned toward its general direction.
"Here you go, mister," replied the clerk as he unhooked the stuffed tiger and then handed Tsukune his prize.
"Thanks" Tsukune said with a bow.
"Here, Moka. He's the one you wanted, right?"
"Oh, Tsukune! Thank you very much," Moka happily squealed and then hugged her new plush tiger up against her ample bosom. She then gave her boyfriend a chaste kiss on his left cheek as thanks for his heartfelt generosity.
"Uh, n-no problem at all, Moka. I'm just glad that you like it."
"Oh Tsukune... I do love you so much," she replied as she leaned up against him and held him close.
"And I love you Moka."
"Would you like to go – for a walk with me? I'd like to thank you properly," Moka asked as a bright pink blush instantly filled her cheeks and made them hot to the touch.
"Uh, sure," he answered, caught off-guard by her forward inquiry and in public, nonetheless. She then grabbed his left hand and directed him in the opposite direction towards the rear of the festival grounds.
A few minutes later, she had led him towards the temporary restroom trailer which was set up for the festival-goers. It was approximately 10 meters long by 5 meters deep and about 3 meters high.
Once they were around the corner and away from any prying eyes, she set her plush toy on the soft grass, pulled Tsukune into a tight embrace, and then kissed him fully on his lips. He reciprocated the simple act of affection and adoration which caused him to become quickly stimulated.
Luckily nobody was nearby as they showed each other how they truly felt about one another.
Or so they thought.
...
"Ahem... I see that you two are doing well," Kurumu said as she and Yukari walked up to the pair. Yukari quickly covered her face with both of her hands and could not believe what she had seen with her very own eyes. Her big sis and Tsukune were clearly "making out" as she put it.
The couple broke for air and blushed like overly-ripened tomatoes. They were beyond embarrassed and had no idea how to reply to being caught by her sisters out in the open, more or less.
"I'm sorry about that, sisters. I had gotten a little carried away it would seem," Moka answered as she bent down and picked up her plush tiger.
"Eh, don't worry about it. I was only kidding, ya' know," Kurumu said with a shrug.
"Um, right. What she said. Oh big sis, that tiger's so cute!" Yukari said as Moka walked over to her side, her free hand linked with Tsukune's.
"Oh, thank you. Tsukune won this for me," she replied with a small smile as she gave his hand a light squeeze.
"You sure are lucky, big sis," Yukari said with a small frown which Tsukune picked up on right away.
"Hey, since it's still early, why don't we go check out the other games too?" Tsukune suggested in order to leave that moment behind since he was still somewhat mortified being caught by Yukari of all people. He literally had his tongue in Moka's mouth, after-all.
"Sure. What are we waiting for? Let's go then!" Yukari enthusiastically replied as she stood behind Tsukune and gave him a gentle push back towards the festival which was in full swing.
…
"Hey mister! Yeah you - with the pink-haired girlfriend! I've got some really nice jewelry that would look great on her. Really cheap, too. Anything here is only five-hundred yen," one of the vendors barked out as the foursome walked around as they browsed several of the shops and games which were set up.
Without a moments hesitation, Moka led him over to a glass display case. Numerous rings had caught her attention, each with a different colored gemstone.
"Oh my. Look Tsukune. They're so pretty," Moka said to her beau.
"Yeah they are... hey if you wanna..." Tsukune replied before he grabbed his head with both of his hands and tumbled harshly to the ground.
"Ahhhhgh!" Tsukune wailed out, understandably, in severe pain.
"Tsukune!" Moka shouted as she bent down and saw for herself that something was definitely wrong with her boyfriend. Kurumu gave Yukari an all-knowing look since she had a clue as to what had caused Tsukune to be in pain all of a sudden.
His sealed memories were coming back it would seem. The most-likely catalyst must have been when Moka had seen a ring she liked just like she had, when they first met as children.
"Hey, is he gonna be okay? Should I call a doctor or something?" the jewelry vendor asked, clearly freaked out over what had just transpired a moment ago.
"Shh... it will be all right Tsukune," Moka said as she quickly focused the reserve of her divine powers and quickly healed him since her sisters had blocked anyone's view.
"Ahh... Moka? What – what the hell just happened?" a bewildered Tsukune asked as she helped him to his feet with the assistance of her siblings.
"I am not sure. Are you feeling better now? Would you like to sit down and maybe have something cool to drink?" she asked as he leaned against her for support. He just simply shook his head 'yes' as she walked him over to the nearest bench and had him have a seat.
"Kurumu, you stay here with Tsukune. I will buy him something cold to drink. You can come along with me if you'd like, Yukari," Moka lovingly instructed to her two sisters.
"I'll be back in a few minutes, love... okay?" Moka said as she bent down and softly kissed him on his forehead.
"Sure Moka. Thanks," he sheepishly answered.
"You're most welcome," Moka replied then turned around with Yukari hot on her heels as she searched for the nearest booth which offered cold drinks.
"Hey, you gonna be okay kiddo?" Kurumu asked as she took the empty spot on Tsukune's left-hand side.
"Yeah. Sorry to make you girls worry," he said.
"Hey, it's not a big deal, all right? Maybe you had heat stroke or somethin'. I dunno. I'm just guessin' here," the blue-haired Asgardian offered with a sympathetic smile.
"Yeah... um... I'm not sure either. I never had that happen to me before. Weird," he answered with a sigh and a shrug as Moka returned quickly to his side a minute later. She held in her free hand a beverage of sorts.
"Here you go Tsukune. I thought this would help you out," Moka said as she handed him the cold drink.
It was a bottle of iced, green tea apparently.
"Thanks Moka," he said with a slight frown. She then swiftly pulled him into her soft bosom. He inhaled her natural, womanly scent which still reminder him of lavender and had a calming effect of sorts on him.
"You're most welcome. I was just so worried about you," she replied as she released him from her surprise embrace.
"Sorry if I made you worry, Moka."
"There's nothing for you to apologize for, Tsukune. I just want to be sure you're all right."
…
Once Tsukune felt better and was able to stand on his own, two feet without any support, and Moka gave him a quick once-over with her abilities; the quartet walked over to the main stage where the karaoke contest was to be held.
After Moka had signed up and given a random number, she joined Tsukune and her sisters as the contest was underway a few moments later. They watched as one contestant after another did their best, or worse, depending on your point of view.
Most of the earlier contestants were decent singers and a few of them actually had a bit of talent.
Yukari had to hold her laughter in before she either embarrassed someone or herself.
'Ha! These mortals think they're so talented. Wait until big sis gets up there. I can hardly wait!' Yukari thought to herself with a smirk.
One participant in particular sang an enka-type song which caused Kurumu to fall asleep on the spot. Since she was one-half demon, that was one of her weaknesses. Luckily, her sisters and Tsukune kept her upright and from falling over.
"Next up is contestant number... seven. Moka... Akashiya. Please make your way up to the stage at this time please," the emcee announced over the speakers via a wireless microphone.
Akashiya was the last name Tsukune had made up for her when she was first registered as an exchange student at Nekomi Tech earlier in the year. Her surname was loosely based upon her mother's first name; Akasha.
"Well, this is it," she said as she handed her stuffed tiger and purse to Yukari to hold for the time being.
"Good luck Moka," Tsukune replied with a smile.
"Yeah, show them what your mamma gave you!" Kurumu shouted with a fist-pump.
"Show these people their place, big sis!" Yukari hollered.
Moka walked up the the stage and waved to them once she was handed a wireless microphone of her own as she stood in the center.
As the musical cue began, Moka held the microphone up to her lips and spoke.
"I dedicate this song to my very best friend and the love of my life. Tsukune, this song's for you," she said as she focused on the lyrics which were shown on a video monitor in front of her.
How do I,
Get through the night without you?
If I had to live without you,
What kind of life would that be?
Oh, I...
I need you in my arms, need you to hold,
You're my world, my heart, my soul.
If you ever leave...
Baby you would take away everything... good in my life,
And tell me now...
How do I live without you?
I want to know...
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go...
How do I ever... ever survive?
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live?
Without you -
There'd be no sun in my sky,
There would be no love in my life,
There'd be no world left for me.
And I...
Baby I don't know what I would do,
I'd be lost if I lost you,
If you ever leave...
Baby you would take away everything... real in my life.
And tell me now...
How do I live without you?
I want to know...
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go...
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live?
Please tell me baby...
How do I go on?
If you ever leave,
Baby you would take away everything,
I need you with me,
Baby don't you know that you're everything,
Real in my life?
And tell me now,
How do I live without you,
I want to know,
How do I breathe without you?
If you ever go...
How do I ever, ever survive?
How do I, how do I, oh how do I live?
…
Once the song came to its conclusion a few minutes later, the audience which had gathered for the contest broke out into a thunderous applause. Most of the people had cried as well it would seem due to the goddess's amazing singing voice.
Tsukune burst into tears and could no longer contain his emotions.
Both Kurumu and Yukari did their best to console him but were ultimately futile in their efforts. Moka quickly dashed off the stage and made it over to his side in less than two seconds.
"Tsukune!" she said as she quickly pulled him into a warm hug and held the young man for all she was worth. Her heart ached heavily and had not a clue that her song selection would affect him so adversely.
She simply wanted to convey her true feelings and let everyone else know that she was deeply in love with him.
"Moka..." he said as he held her tighter and refused to let go of her for the time being.
"Um, guys... we're getting a lot of attention here," Kurumu pointed out as several onlookers stared intently at the amorous couple.
Moka took the not-so-subtle hint and did her best to improve Tsukune's melancholy disposition. With assistance from her sisters, she had somehow managed to pull him off to the side of the large crowd and seated on a nearby bench.
"It's all right Tsukune. I know. I – I just wanted you and everyone else to know how much I love you. This won't be easy for me either. I promise you - that I'll return as soon as we get this matter settled back home, okay? You have my word as your goddess and girlfriend," she whispered.
"You – you really mean that?" he asked as he sat partially up and looked at her with tear-stained and swollen eyes.
"Of course, Tsukune. My place is here by your side. Never doubt that, okay?" she said with a smile as she hugged him adoringly.
"Thanks Moka. I feel a lot better now," he replied with a weak smile.
"You're welcome and I'm so glad to hear that, Tsukune," she replied with a warm smile.
"May I have everyone's attention please? The judges of the karaoke contest have finally made their decision. It was not easy, they said but we do have our winner. Ahem... the first place winner will receive an all-expense paid trip for four to Tokyo Disney, fifty-thousand yen in cash and two nights lodging at the hotel of their choice at Tokyo Disney. And the first place goes to – contestant number seven... Moka Akashiya! Congratulations! Please come up to the stage to claim your prize at this time."
…
After Moka had accepted her hefty prize, she still found it difficult to believe that she had actually won the contest.
Sure she was a First Class Goddess and had a natural singing ability but never meant to "show off" her talent. However, she just wanted to try it out and see for herself if she could actually compete. Besides, it was a learning experience for her and fun to boot since she enjoyed singing so much.
"I'm really proud of you Moka," Tsukune said as they wandered around the festival grounds as Kurumu and Yukari walked a few paces behind them. It was already dark and Tsukune decided to take his wonderful girlfriend somewhere quiet before 9 PM so he could be alone with her, even if it were only for a few moments.
"Thank you Tsukune."
"You're welcome Moka. Um, could you girls please give us a little privacy, if it's all right?" he asked as he turned around and faced her sisters with an imploring look.
"Sure thing kiddo. Don't do anything I wouldn't do, okay?" Kurumu answered with a wink.
"Sister, please. Now is not the time," Moka lightly chastised with a profuse blush across her cheeks.
"Aw, I was just kidding. We'll see you two love birds in a bit. Let's go Yukari. I heard there's something called 'fireworks' starting soon and I wanna see what the big deal is all about," Kurumu said as she grabbed Yuakri's hand and dragged her the opposite direction they were headed.
"I'm sorry about that Tsukune. It would seem that Kurumu is still acting rather childish," Moka said with a bow.
"Hey, it's okay Moka. No worries. I know she was only teasing. Let's go over here, all right? There's something that I wanna show you in a few minutes," he answered as he glanced at his wristwatch and noted the current time.
"Thank you Tsukune. Of course. Lead the way," she replied with a blush.
…
"Oh my. What a lovely view," Moka said as they stood by the river.
In the inky sky above, thousands of stars twinkled brightly. The crescent moon resembled a smile as well; as it shone its, soft, silvery light on the world below. The pink-haired goddess then reached over and hugged Tsukune from the side.
"It sure is, huh?" he replied with a content sigh.
"Mm-hmm. I had such a wonderful time today, Tsukune. I'm just relieved that you're doing much better," she said as she embraced him a bit firmer.
"Me too, Moka."
Before the goddess could reply, a loud boom was hear overhead. She looked skyward yet again and saw the first of the fireworks which was bright pink and blue.
"Oh my goodness... its so beautiful," she breathed out in awe at the sight above.
"It's not nearly as beautiful as you are, Moka," he whispered in her right ear which shot a tingle of pleasure down her arms and spine.
"Oh Tsukune..." she said as she faced her love and embraced him around his shoulders. Since Yukari held onto her plush tiger, her hands were free to do what she wanted.
"I love you Moka. And I always will. As long as my heart beats, it will only beat for you," he said as he reached up with his right hand and gently caressed her cheek.
"I love you Tsukune. Forever and always."
He leaned closer and captured her satiny, soft lips in a passionate kiss.
Tears of joy trickled down the goddess's cheeks as she was completely overwhelmed with overflowing love for her Tsukune. She wanted more than anything to savor that closeness she felt whenever they kissed which she was rather fond of and helped deepen their ever-growing bond.
Several minutes later, the pair reluctantly broke their kiss for air.
"Wow," they breathed out in unison.
The pair then stood shoulder-to-shoulder as they watched their first fireworks display together, content that they were in their own, little world if it were.
…
After the fireworks had ended, they stood by the riverside without a care in the world, even though Moka had something on her mind and wanted to ask a favor of sorts to her love.
"Tsukune... um, would it be all right... if we went home now? I do not wish for this moment to end so soon," she asked with an adorable pout which he was weak again.
"Uh, sure Moka... I'd like that too," he confessed with a healthy blush.
...
Once the couple ran into her sisters, they announced that they wanted to head back home and turn in as soon as possible.
"Why so early? It's only nine-thirty," Yukari questioned with a suspicious look.
"Well, it's been a busy day and I'm still kinda feeling dizzy from before," Tsukune swiftly interjected before Moka could answer her sister's interrogation instead.
"Oh. I see. I guess it's okay..." the youngest Norn replied sadly.
"Tell ya' what, Yukari. I'll buy you an ice cream cone on the way back, okay?" Tsukune said with a warm smile.
"Really?" Yukari replied with a wide grin at the prospect of ice cream which she loved almost as much as her big sister, Moka.
"Yep. Let's head back then," Tsukune answered as he held Moka's hand.
Kurumu remained quiet and knew the real reason why the couple decided to go home and call it an early night. She was happy for them yet distressed over the entire situation which was going on in Asgard. Kurumu just prayed that the issue was not too serious and just merely a rumor.
…
Per his promise, Tsukune bought an ice cream cone not only for Yukari, but for her sisters and himself as well. The raven-haired goddess-in-training thanked him wholeheartedly for his outright kindness and sincere generosity.
Of course once Yukari arrived home back at the Temple she yawned loudly, handed Moka her stuffed tiger back, and went off to bed herself, after she said goodnight to everyone.
"Good night you two. Thanks again for today, Tsukune. I'm gonna pack a few things for our trip. Try to get some sleep okay?" Kurumu said as she hovered off the floor and floated back to her room with a dismissive wave of her hand.
...
"I guess we should try to get some sleep, too," Tsukune said as he turned off the tea room light and led Moka back to their shared bedroom.
"I cannot guarantee that you'll get much sleep tonight, Tsukune," Moka said with a smile.
"Moka..."
"I know Tsukune. But – tomorrow night... we have to go back to Asgard and I do not know how long we will be gone for. I wish for this to be a memorable night, my love. Will you grant me, my wish?" she asked as she closed the bedroom door behind her.
"Memorable?" he repeated back with a hard gulp as he attempted to decipher her somewhat, ambiguous statement.
"Yes. I want to – kiss you for as long as I want. Is that okay with you, Tsukune?" she asked with puppy-dog eyes.
Oh no! Not the puppy-dog eyes!
"Oh. Sure. Of course Moka. I'd like that as well to be honest," he said as he began to untie the obi of his yukata.
"May I help you with that?" she asked with a slight blush. He just simply shook his head 'yes'.
Tsukune's heart hammered heavily as she slowly and gingerly helped him to undress. After she hung up his yukata, he stood there in their darkened room only in his boxer shorts.
"Please undress me," she softly petitioned as she bit her lower lip in an adorable manner.
"Of course Moka," he said as he reached behind her back and untied her obi. She then slightly pulled the yukata open. Tsukune nearly had a nosebleed as she only wore a pair of white, cotton, panties under her summertime kimono and nothing more.
"Please look at me, Tsukune," she said as he slowly removed the restrictive article of clothing and quickly hung it up in the closet on a simple hanger.
"Oh Moka... you really are beautiful," he stated as she quickly hugged him and pressed her full, soft, bosom against his bare chest.
"And you my sweet Tsukune are quite handsome yourself," she said as she led him over to heir futon bed.
...
Once they were both under the soft sheets, they cuddled up to each other per their nightly routine.
"Moka..." he said under his breath as she kissed him once again with more intensity and passion than earlier at the festival.
"Ah... Tsukune!"
"Hey, will you two keep it down in there?! I'm tryin' to get my beauty sleep!" an irritated Kurumu yelled as she pounded on the thin wall which separated their bedrooms. Both Tsukune and Moka broke out into a hearty laugh.
"Hey... don't make me come in there and join you two!" the blue-haired bombshell hollered.
"Sorry about that sister, but Tsukune's such a fantastic kisser. I will try to behave myself," Moka replied back with a song in her voice.
"Um, Moka? She's not really serious about that, is she?" Tsukune asked with a sweat-drop.
"No, she is merely teasing us like always," Moka said as she crawled on top of Tsukune.
"Oh, okay. If you say so Moka."
"Forget about her. Now – where were we before we were interrupted, hmm?" she asked with a twinkle of mischief in her emerald green eyes.
"I'd say – right about here," he replied with a smile.
Tsukune then wrapped his arms around Moka's slender waist as she leaned forward for another heated kiss. Their tongues wrestled playfully as they moaned aloud into each others mouth which only added fuel to the burning passion of their romantic interlude.
"Mm... please... touch me... my love," Moka panted in-between kisses.
"Um... you want – me to – to -to-touch you?" he nervously stammered out.
"Yes. It's okay if it's you – Tsukune," she continued as she could sense his uneasiness.
After he had calmed down from her love-filled words, Tsukune then replied wordlessly as he slowly removed his hands from around her waist and carefully placed them on her firm derriere. He then gave it a gentle squeeze which caused Moka to squeal with utter delight.
"Ah! Tsukune..." she softly replied as she broke their kiss for air and then buried her head in the crook of his neck.
"Oh Moka... I love you," the young man said to his gorgeous goddess of a girlfriend as he pulled her closer and pressed firmly against her warm, voluptuous, frame.
"And I love you my wonderful man. I shall miss you so much..."
"I know Moka. It won't be easy for us - but – but I'll wait for you for as long as it takes... because... because... you complete me," he said with a tear in the corner of his eye.
"Tsukune... hearing that has made me – very happy. I don't want this night to ever end," she replied likewise as she sat up and then nuzzled her head against his chest. He then placed his arms around her shoulders and held her protectively, and wished to never let go of her.
Nobody in the four bedroom home knew how long she and her sisters would have to stay in Asgard, hence calling it an early night.
They simply wanted to spend as much time together as they could due to their upcoming, temporary, separation. It would not be easy, naturally since they had been nearly inseparable ever since Moka came back into his life nearly 4 months ago.
Whatever trials and tribulations the future held, they would face them together and would not allow anyone nor anything to come in-between them.
Neither the forces of the heavens above nor the underworlds below, stood a chance against the young couple who were bound by a simple, childhood, promise many years ago. The very same promise that could possibly, save the world someday.
Unbeknownst to either of them, that day was nearly upon them.
To be continued.

A.N: Please read regarding future chapters!
First off, I'm finished! * faints *
I knocked this chapter out in 2 days. Not too bad considering it's rather short. But I did my best to pack as much into it that I could, including the warm and fluffy feelings that everyone seems to like.
Secondly, and this is the most important part:
This chapter will be part 1 of at least a 2 or 3 part / chapter story arc which will really pick up in the next chapter.
I can't say much more at this time but I did leave some subtle hints throughout this chapter which I hope everyone liked. If you figure out which way I might be heading plot-wise, please do not post possible spoilers in the review section below and send me a PM or Note instead.
Guest reviews as always are monitored before approval. Sorry about that and thank you for understanding since the majority of guest reviews have nothing to do with my story and are more often than not, just spam or to complain about another writer or review I left for a story. * sigh *
Any and all feedback, reviews, and story suggestions are always welcome and deeply appreciated as long as they remain "spoiler free". :)
I want to thank everyone who has followed, faved, and reviewed this "Rosario / Goddess" crossover fan-fic of mine. Your continued support really means a lot to me and I would not still be writing today if it were not for your friendship and support. Thank you once again!
Next chapter will be out in a week or so; hopefully before July 4, if I'm able.
Please feel free to "Follow" this story for any and all updates if you haven't yet. Thanks! :)
