...
"Hello, Aono residence..." the voice on the other end of the phone answered.
"Hey kiddo... how ya' doin'?"
"Oh hi Kurumu," Tsukune replied with a sigh.
"Well, excuse me for not being your lovey-dovey girlfriend, but I just wanted to check up on ya," Kurumu explained.
"Sorry about that. I'm doing okay I guess," he said with a bit more enthusiasm.
"Good to hear. We should be back before ya' know it as we're already debugging Yggdrasil and should know what's going on soon, okay?"
"Thanks Kurumu. I appreciate ya' calling me."
"No problem, Tsukune. I mean, we're your friends, ya' know."
"Thanks. That means a lot to me... um Kurumu... tell Moka – tell her I love her, okay?"
"Hey, it's cool. Sure thing kiddo. I'm pretty sure she already knows that but I'll tell her anyway."
"Thanks again, Kurumu. I'll see you girls soon so I guess I'll let ya' get back to your job," he said with a frown. Moka and her sisters had only been gone for a short while, but to Tsukune, it felt like an eternity!
"No problem and yeah... Yukari's givin' me the evil eye so I guess I gotta go. See ya' soon and hang in there, Tsukune."
"Hahaha. That sounds like Yukari all right.. and I will," he replied with a laugh.
"Yeah, yeah. Ciao, kiddo," she answered with a giggle of her own.
"Later, Kurumu," he said as the other end went silent and all he heard was the dial tone. He then set the receiver down and went off to tell Kyoko the news.
…
Asgard, Almighty One's Office. Shorty after the Emergency Recall Notice.
"Sir, we have a problem," a lavender-haired Valkyrie said as she walked into the Almighty One's office after she had tapped on the door. She was dressed in her standard combat outfit which was all white with a blue trim.
"What is it Mizore?", he asked in a calm voice as he sat at his ornate, marble, desk.
"It appears as though we have found the whereabouts of Gungnir," she replied in her usual, monotone, voice.
"I see."
"Yes sir. It's on Midgard. In eastern Japan, to be precise," the Valkyrie replied as she stared at the floor for a moment.
"And a mortal has found it, correct?" the dark-haired ruler of Asgard asked with a quirked brow.
"Yes sir. The mortal's name is Tsukune Aono, " Mizore replied as she raised her head to meet her boss's gaze.
"Please send for my daughters, as I want to have a chat with them. Especially Moka," he said as he reversed his chair around and stared out the open window.
"As you wish, my lord," Mizore replied with a bow as she quickly turned around and left his office to retrieve the three Norns who were busy debugging Yggdrasil.
…
Meanwhile on the dark side of the Moon, two, lone figures approached a massive door which is sealed off by numerous locks and Asgardian runes.
"Are you sure about this, Mistress?" her companion asked with a sigh as she walked up to the lower part of the gargantuan entrance and closely inspected the runes for herself.
"Yes. Now get to work. We don't have much time," the blue-haired ruler of the underworld replied.
"But Mistress..." Mara complained.
"No buts. It was your doing which led to the emergency recall of my daughter Kurumu and her two sisters. Besides, it's been such a long time since I've seen him..." Aghea answered with a slight pout.
"Fine. As long as I get to have some fun too," Mara mumbled under her breath as she floated upward and traced her gloved finger over the runes.
After each rune was traced, it glowed in a faint, green, light, which indicated that the locks were being undone and would open soon enough.
As the blonde-haired demoness went about her work, Aghea grinned brightly as she impatiently clapped her hands together.
Several minutes later, numerous locks fell down towards the rocky, lunar, ground with a loud thud. The gigantic door then slowly slid opened to the left. Aghea walked into the prison cell first.
"Ya-hoo-hoo! I found him! Come on in Mara and say hello to my former lover!" Aghea said with a song in her voice.
Mara walked inside the partially-illuminated cell with slight trepidation. She had heard stories of the great, fallen god, Alucard from her boss, but thought the entire plan of hers was ludicrous to begin with.
But as long as she had her revenge against Moka and Kurumu, then it would be worth it, she realized.
"So this is him, huh? I'm not very impressed if ya' ask me," Mara said as she looked upon a small pedestal and saw for herself what remained of the famous Alucard; the one responsible for the destruction of the Judgment Gate, a little over 10 years ago.
All that Mara saw was a small, stone, mask tablet. It was no more than 4 centimeters long by 3 centimeters wide. Etched into the small mask was a face with 2 blue eyes and a few, red marks under where the nose and mouth would be,
"Yes. Now pick him up and give a proper hello," Aghea instructed.
"Uh, hello there Alucard. It's nice to meet ya," Mare said as she picked up the tiny stone 'mask' and held it in her left hand.
"Hello, demon. It's nice to make your acquaintance, as well" the mask replied in a deep, male, voice.
"Eh! Wait a blessed minute! How?" Mara asked as she jumped back and tossed "Alucard" into the air. The small stone mask then floated into Aghea's open hand.
"Mara! You need to be more careful! Alucard and I have a long history, after-all," Aghea chastised.
"But Mistress! How can that thing talk?" Mara asked with a sweat-drop.
"Be nice now. That's actually easy to answer. This mask contains Alucard's essence since my ex-husband, Issa, had him stripped of his powers and physical form."
"I see. So how are we gonna do what you planned if he's got no body?" Mara asked as Aghea handed the tiny mask-shaped tablet back to Mara. She then examined it up close for herself.
"My dear demoness, I can answer your question. I simply need your body," Alucard said through the stone itself.
"Eh?! But – but – I'm savin' myself for that special someone... and I don't wanna just give it up to some fallen god I just met. Don't ya' think we should get ta' know each other better... and go on a date or somethin'... before all of that?" Mara sputtered out as she blushed bright red at the very notion.
Besides, how would they "do the deed" if he lacked a physical body to begin with?
"You misunderstood, my dear Mara. I just need to borrow your body for a short while until I can find a more – suitable host. You have my word that you shall remain, unharmed," Alucard replied with a small laugh.
Ah, so that's what he meant!
"Oh... um... okay then. I guess it's all right. So, um, how do we go about this?" Mara said as her complexion returned to normal a few, moments later.
"Like I said, that is quite simple," Alucard answered. If he had lips, he would have smiled at his ingenious plan.
…
Back in Asgard at the same moment. Almighty One's Office.
"You sent for us, Father?" Moka asked as she stood in front of her father's desk next to Kurumu and Yukari.
"Hello daughters. It's good to see you but I wish that our visit was on better terms," Issa replied with a small frown of fatherly concern. A woman with bright, pink, hair and emerald green eyes stood next to him with her right hand on his shoulder.
Much like any other Goddess, she wore her traditional robes as well. Hers were a dark blue with a silver trim.
"Your father's correct, girls. I'm sorry to inform you that we have a dire situation on our hands," the pink-haired woman replied. Her name was Akasha. She was Moka and Yukari's mother who could for the lack of a better term, be Moka's identical twin.
"How dire is it, Father? We can't find any trace of a virus in Yggdrasil or anything," Yukari explained as she stepped forward.
"That was most likely a ruse, set up by the Demons for a bigger plan, which we are not yet certain of. However... it would seem that the Valkyries have found my brother Odin's, spear," Issa explained as he leaned forward and rested his elbows on his desk as he knitted his brows in concern.
"But what does that have to do with us, Father?" Kurumu asked.
Moka stayed quiet as her mind wandered elsewhere and not focused on the present situation at hand.
"Actually it has to do with Moka's client, Tsukune Aono," Issa replied as he leaned back in his leather chair and then looked up to his wife for support.
"Tsukune? What's wrong with my Tsukune?" Moka nearly shouted as she heard her beloved's name spoken.
"Moka, dear... please calm down. It would seem that your client's – sealed – memories have returned," Akasha said with hesitancy.
"No! No, that's not possible," Moka said as several emotions played across her face.
"Way to go, kiddo," Kurumu breathed out, somewhat surprised by the sudden news. Yukari was just as stunned as well but decided to remain quiet and do her best to support her big sister, Moka.
"It is possible, my daughter. And it already happened just a short while ago. Gungnir was found by your client and hence his memories were restored when he touched its staff," Issa replied, his voice nearly a whisper.
"How it happened, we are uncertain of. Furthermore, unlike Mjölnir, there is no enchantment on it," Akasha pointed out. That meant that anyone could use Gungnir, whether they be Asgardian or in this case; human.
"Tsukune is more than my client, Father. You know this as well. You were the one who ordered me to seal his memory in the first place. Remember?" Moka half-shouted then quickly placed both of her hands over her mouth.
"We realize that Moka... but he was the one who willingly had his memories sealed of meeting you. He was the one who was punished in your place. Is that not the most important thing?" Akasha asked.
"Yes, mother," Moka said as she looked down at the floor and folded her hands in front of her, almost in a shameful manner.
"Almighty One! We have an emergency!" Mizore shouted as she walked into Issa's office and startled everyone present. They were not used to such outbursts by the quiet-spoken, pygmy, Frost Giant. She was, by far, the quietest member of the Fighting Wings, despite her love of battle and combat.
"What is this all about? Can you not see that I am in the middle of a family meeting? You need to know your place, Valkyrie!" Issa stood up from his chair and then shot a thunderbolt at the violet-haired Asgardian who deflected it as if it were nothing. The bolt shot upward and tore a hole through the ceiling of his office.
He always wanted a skylight, but not like that!
"I apologize, my lord. We have received urgent news from the Lunar Prison," Mizore said with fierce determination in her aurora-colored eyes.
"The Lunar Prison?" Moka repeated.
"Yes, Alucard has somehow escaped from his – cell. His current location is currently – unknown," the one-winged Valkyrie replied with a bowed head.
"Then what are you doing here, then? Find him at all costs! Reopen the Bifrost at once! I want an update as soon as his whereabouts are known, is that understood?" Issa said in a commanding voice.
"Yes my lord. At once!" Mizore said with a bow as she practically flew out of his office to do as directed by Him.
…
"So, this is the place?" Alucard said as he set down on the Earth with Aghea by his side.
He now wore his original, Asgardian robes which were white with blue and gold trim along with matching boots. He was quite tall with slicked back, ebony hair. In the center of his forehead, was an octagon with a small cutout in the center as well as two, smaller ones just below his eyes, on his cheeks.
"Yes, I'm pretty certain. Tell me why we're here again?" she asked as she looked around the Tariki Hongan Temple grounds.
"Because this is where we will find Gungnir. And with its power I will be able to fulfill my long-awaited plan and take back what is mine," he answered with a smirk as he clenched his right fist.
"And why am I here for? Kurumu's still up in Asgard for the time being as are her sisters," Aghea asked as she wrinkled her brow.
"Hey! Who's out there? Show yourselves!" a male voice yelled as he stepped out from the front door of the house next to the Temple. He brandished in his hands the golden spear of Odin: Gungnir.
"Um, this is where I make myself scarce, lover. Lemme know how it works out for you, all right?" Aghea said as she quickly and quietly disappeared in a burst of red light.
"Damn that woman! So feisty!" Alucard cursed under his breath.
Tsukune did not take notice of her vanishing act as he rounded the front corner of the house and came face-to-face with his unwanted, nighttime, visitor who stood in the front yard.
"Whoa there! I'm not here to start a fight or anything, young man," Alucard said as he raised both of his hands , palms out, in a nonthreatening manner.
Tsukune cocked his head to the right as the taller man stood in place and then raised his hands slowly over his head as he appeared to be unarmed.
Before Tsukune could react, a bright pink and blue light shot out of the sky and three figures materialized in the center of the courtyard.
It was Moka and her sisters, dressed in their standard issue Goddess robes.
"Tsukune, please step back. That is Alucard!" Moka said as she quickly flew over to his side.
"Moka? Is that you?" he asked as he lowered the spear for a moment as he was not aware yet of what had transpired.
"Of course it's me, silly," she said as she gave him an affectionate hug along with a peck on his lips.
Kurumu and Yukari floated over to and stood in-between Alucard and the reunited couple.
"Oh Moka, I missed you so much," he said as he gave her a firmer embrace.
"I know love. I've missed you as well," she replied with a tear in her eye.
"You've got some nerve, comin' down here, Alucard. Now - why don't you go back to whatever hole you crawled out from, okay? Ya' know, before I get mad and blow a hole in your sorry hide," Kurumu said as she shooed him away as if he were a stray dog.
"Insolent fool... begone," he said as he waved his hand at Kurumu and sent her flying back into and through the house.
* Craaaassssshhhh! *
"No! Kurumu! You big dummy! How dare you lay a hand on my sister! I'm going to pulverize you! Mjölnir Smash!" Yukari yelled as she pulled out her long-handled mallet from her blouse and swung it over her head and down with all her might at Alucard.
"Huh? Where'd you go, you big jerk?" Yukari asked as he was nowhere to be found once her mallet made contact with nothing but air.
"Sending a child after me? How amusing," Alucard taunted as he lifted Yukari up by the collar of her cloak and tossed her like a rag-doll at Moka's feet.
* thud! *
"Owie! You stupid jerk! That hurt! What the hell's your problem anyway?!" the youngest goddess yelped as she landed on her rear. She then stood up and wiped the dust off from her skirt.
"I am warning you Alucard. I will take you on myself if needed," Moka advised as Tsukune stood on her right and pointed Gungnir at the fallen god who had destroyed part of their home and injured her sisters.
"Moka... my oh my... you have certainly – grown up to be a fine goddess, if I do say so myself," Alucard said as he floated over to Moka. He then grabbed and lifted her right hand high above her head as he wrapped his left arm around her waist.
"Hey, you – hands off of MY girlfriend!" Tsukune said in a threatening tone.
"I do not see what is so special about this boy. Now, let me take back what is mine," Alucard said as he pulled Moka closer and quickly kissed her full on the lips.
"You bastard!" Tsukune yelled as he pointed the magical spear at Alucard as its tip glowed brightly.
"Divine Punishment!" shrieked a familiar voice from behind the quartet.
* Ka-thooooooooooooommm! *
The pink-haired goddess then went limp and fell into Tsukune's open arms as a lightning bolt blasted her former teacher back a good thirty yards and into the woods near the edge of their property.
Alucard's harsh impact had cleared a path through the forest as several trees were blown apart as well from Kurumu's patented thunderbolt.
"That's what ya' get for fucking with me, Alucard," Kurumu said as she limped back towards her sisters and Tsukune.
"What the hell's goin' on out here? And why's there a huge hole in the house? Moka? Kurumu!" Kyoko said as she walked through said gap which was on the side of the house. She then ran over to where the goddess lay on the ground with Tsukune and her sisters huddled around her.
"Moka! Hey Moka! Wake up! What's wrong with her Kurumu?" Tsukune asked in a panic as he gently shook his unconscious girlfriend.
"I dunno! It had to be that bastard, Alucard's doin'!" Kurumu quickly speculated.
"Come on, big sis... wake up, please! You gotta wake up!" Yukari pleaded with tears in her eyes.
….
Kurumu carried Moka back into the house via her magic and gently placed her on the futon bed in the couple's shared, bedroom.
"Ow, my head... Kurumu? Yukari? Where am I? What happened?" Moka asked a few moments later as she blinked her eyes open in confusion.
"Moka! Thank goodness you're okay. I was so worried about you," Tsukune said in relief as he gave her a warm hug.
"Um, excuse me... but could you not hug me like that?" Moka said as she gave him a gentle push back and broke their embrace.
"Moka?" Tsukune asked with a small frown.
"Sisters? What's going on? Where are we?" Moka asked as she stood up and pulled her siblings off to the side for a minute of privacy.
"You don't remember?" Yukari asked.
"No. Where am I and who is that man over there?" Moka inquired with a hint of worry in her voice.
"Oh boy... well, it's like this, Moka..." Kurumu said as she recounted everything that had happened in the past 24 hours. No scratch that – the past, several, months.
…
"I'm sorry, sister. I don't remember any of that nor who this 'Tsukune' person is," Moka replied several minutes later after Kurumu's long-winded explanation.
"But you came down here to grant him a wish, big sis! How can you forget something so important like that? It's your job for crying out loud," Yukari cried out, clearly upset over her big sister's current quandary.
"I did? I'm sorry Yukari. I don't recall ever meeting him before nor coming down to Midgard for a wish, at least not within the past four months or so," the pink-haired deity sadly replied. When Tsukune heard that, he walked out of the room and felt as if his heart had broken all over again.
"Poor Tsukune. I guess it's up to me ta' cheer him up," Kurumu said with a sigh as she turned around and went after him. She wanted to be sure he was all right and did not do something stupid.
"But Kurumu!" Yukari loudly protested.
"Don't worry squirt. I just wanna be sure he's okay. Stay here and keep an eye on Moka, okay? It's getting late so I suggest we try to get some sleep. We'll figure this out in the mornin'," Kurumu said as she turned Yukari around and pushed her back towards Moka.
"Come on, big sis. You can sleep in my room because... well, you usually - sleep with Tsukune because he's your – boyfriend, too," Yukari said with a blush as she grabbed Moka's hand and guided her towards her bedroom which was directly across from Tsukune and her big sister's, bedroom.
"He's – my boyfriend?" Moka repeated with a blush of her own across her pale cheeks.
She had no idea how to react to that tidbit of information, but decided to just follow Yukari and worry about that the next day. Besides, it was well after one o'clock in the morning by this time and it had been a very emotional night for the entire household.
…
"Hey, you doin' okay, Tsukune?" Kurumu asked as she claimed an empty spot on Tsukune's left. He was seated on the wooden porch which overlooked the side yard.
"How do you think I'm doin' Kurumu?" he replied with bitterness in his voice.
"Hey! Don't shoot the messenger! I'm on your side. I'm just as worried as you are, ya' know. Damn it," Kurumu answered with a huff.
"S-sorry Kurumu," Tsukune said with a sniffle. She then scooted closer to him and offered him a shoulder to lean on.
"Hey, I'm sorry too. I didn't mean all of that. I dunno what that bastard did to her but I'm gonna get to the bottom of this. You have my word, okay?" the blue-haired bombshell softly replied as she gave him a friendly embrace from the side.
"It's okay... I don't know either. I mean she told me he was locked away on the moon forever... so – how'd he get out of there?" Tsukune asked with a concerned look across his features.
"Yeah... I'm just as stumped to be honest. Somebody had to go up there and let him out... but from what I understood, he had no body. I mean, his powers and form were stripped. He had to borrow somebody's actual body to get outta there, if I were to take a guess. I dunno. Let's just try to get some sleep and we'll get to the bottom of this, okay kiddo?" Kurumu said as they ended their, somewhat, awkward hug.
"All right Kurumu. Thanks. I guess you're right," he replied with a small smile.
"Hey, like I told you two before, I'm on your side. Let's get some sleep. And um, if ya' feel like ya' wanna cuddle with someone – like me, I won't mind..." Kurumu said with a wink.
"Um, thanks for the offer Kurumu... but I'm gonna be okay... I hope," he answered with a weak smile as they walked back into the house and to their own, individual, bedrooms.
As soon as Kurumu slid her bedroom door closed, Tsukune tiptoed over to Yukari's bedroom and listened for a moment. He did not hear a thing and assumed that Moka had gone to sleep in her younger sibling's room for the remainder of the night.
"Goodnight Moka. I love you and I'll wait for you to come back to me – again. And I'm glad that I finally remembered our childhood promise. After all this is over with, I'm gonna do the right thing Moka," he whispered.
Tsukune then turned around and sadly walked into his room, all alone. He had hoped that after Moka returned from Asgard that he could tell her that he had recalled their childhood commitment of marriage, but his plan was dashed by Alucard's unannounced arrival and Moka had somehow lost her memory of ever meeting him and their current contract.
It was truly heartbreaking for the young man.
...
"Damn it! I'm gonna be sore for a week!" Mara cursed as she opened her red blouse and looked down at the mask of Alucard, which was embedded near the top of her chest.
"Do not let a little lightning discourage you Mara, dear," Alucard replied through the small stone tablet which housed his essence.
"Hey! You don't have a right to talk, little man! I'm the one whose gotta be you until all of this is over. So what's our next move? I did what ya' asked and kissed Moka, which was my first kiss I'll have ya' know," Mara grumbled.
"We had a deal, demoness. Just do what you're told and you will get what you want as well. For now we rest and let Moka do her part," Alucard calmly replied.
"Fine. Whatever! And it had to be with a blessed goddess! I better get what's comin' to me or you're on your own. And NO more kissing anyone! I need a bath, too. Damn it! I'm gonna get you Kurumu – and your little sister, too!" the blonde-haired demoness bellowed as she removed a few leaves from out of her matted hair and took to the sky.
…
Moka's eyes shot open as she rose to her feet, almost as if an invisible force guided her towards the bedroom door. She looked over her right shoulder and saw that Yukari was still, fast asleep.
With a small grin, Moka turned her attention towards the shoji door and slid it open, then stepped into the empty hallway. She left the door ajar for now and then opened Tsukune's and her, bedroom door, ever so gingerly.
"Tsukune... boyfriend," Moka whispered as she walked over to his sleeping form and then sat down on the edge of their bed. She then stared at him for several moments before she moved closer and was careful not to disturb his slumber.
Moka then got on all fours, crawled over to him, and then sat on his waist.
Tsukune slowly opened one eye and thought he was dreaming. Or had remembered something wonderful from the past. He looked up and saw Moka, who just sat there and said not a word. She then slowly leaned forward and placed each of her hands on top of Tsukune's own hands.
"Moka?" he asked in partial-confusion.
"Hello Tsukune. I missed you," she said, her voice barely audible.
"I – I missed you too, Moka. I don't know what happened before, but are ya' feeling better?" he asked with concern, just like he had since they first met.
"I feel fine, Tsukune. Would you - like to kiss me, like we always do?" she asked in a dreamy voice as she bit her bottom lip in an adorable fashion.
The young man just shook his head yes as she leaned forward and kissed him passionately. She then shoved her tongue into his mouth as their kiss intensified which woke him up even further.
"Moka..."
"Tsukune..."
"Moka..."
"Mmm... thank you. Well, good night," she said as she ended their kiss several, minutes later as she was somewhat, out of breath.
"Wait Moka... why don't you stay the night... please? I mean, we've been in love with each other since we were kids, right? Don't you remember our promise from back then?"
"Our promise? I'm sorry Tsukune. Ah... I'm not feeling well, after-all. I'll see you in the morning, okay?" she said as she placed her left hand against her forehead and wobbled a bit once she stood up.
"Um, okay Moka. Try to get some sleep then. I love you and I always will – no matter what happens," he said with a bit of sadness in his voice mixed with disappointment.
"Thank you Tsukune... okay," she said as she walked over to the door and left their room quicker than she had arrived.
"Um, okay. Maybe she's sick? Do Asgardians get sick?" he muttered to himself as he turned over and sighed heavily. He felt lonely yet again. He was certain that she had returned to her normal, cheery, self; but apparently, she had not.
But why did it hurt more than earlier, he wondered to himself as he clutched his chest and attempted to push those sad thoughts aside and remain strong for her sake. He had never felt so alone in his entire life, up until then.
…
The next morning, Moka was nowhere to be found.
Everybody had split up and thoroughly searched the entire house, temple, and the wooded area which surrounded the temple grounds which took longer than they had expected.
Tsukune even found the clearing in the forest where he had first met Moka when they were children.
Her sisters had no idea where she could have ran off to in the early hours of the morning and could not detect her presence with their abilities. It was almost as if she had vanished off of the face of the Earth. Nobody in town nor Tsukune's sempai at the Nekomi Tech dormitories had seen the pink-haired woman, either.
As Tsukune, Kurumu, Yukari, and Kyoko debated their next move as they sat around the kotatsu table in the tea room, they were all quite, understandably upset.
"Damn that bastard. I'm gonna blow him to Kingdom Come when I see him again! Argh! I can't believe he'd just do what he did to Moka!" Kurumu screamed which brought everyone's thoughts back to the present.
"We don't know for sure if he took her or not, Kurumu," Tsukune calmly replied as his own thoughts were only focused on Moka, naturally.
"But Tsukune, he k-kissed big sis and then she lost her memories! He has to be behind this! He just has to be" Yukari retorted with fire in her eyes.
"They have a point, Tsuki. I don't know what's really goin' on, but ya' gotta find Moka and bring her back home. I mean – you guys are meant for each other," Kyoko offered with a supportive smile.
Tsukune then jumped to his feet and dashed out of the tea room as fast as his feet could carry him.
"What got into him all of a sudden?" Yukari wondered. Before anyone could answer, Tsukune returned to the tea room with something he held in his right hand.
It was the enchanted Asgardian, spear, Gungnir.
"I know where Moka's at!" he said with a bright grin.
"Huh?" the girls replied unanimously.
"C'mon, we don't have much time!"
"So, where's big sis?" Yukari asked as she stood up followed by Kurumu and Kyoko.
"She's at the abandoned mall, downtown," Tsukune replied.
"So what are we waitin' for? Let's go and bring Moka home!" Kyoko said with a fist-pump.
"You're gonna have to stay here, Kyo," her cousin replied.
"What? No way! I wanna go too!" she pouted.
"It's too dangerous. Besides, I know how to defeat Alucard with this spear," Tsukune explained.
"Aw man. You get ta' have all the fun, don't ya'?" Kyoko pouted, yet again.
"Tsukune's got a point, Kyoko. We won't be long, I suppose. So how do ya' wanna travel, Tsukune? By broom or by water?" Kurumu asked with a renewed sense of purpose.
"Uh, I think I'll pass on the flying, if it's all the same to ya, Kurumu... so Yukari, I'll be in your care. There's a water fountain in the middle of the mall," Tsukune explained with a bow.
"Of course Tsukune! Let's start 'Operation: Bring Big Sis Home'!" Yukari said with a pep in her step.
"Alright. Suit yourself, kiddo. So what are we waitin' for? Let's get Moka and kick Alucard's ass!" Kurumu said with another eager fist-pump.
…
Moka stood in the center of the mall on a stairway with Alucard behind her. The goddess had a blank look in her eyes, almost as if she were no longer in control of her own emotions or mind, if it were.
"Are you prepared to defend me once again, Moka?"
"Yes, Alucard," she replied in a flat tone; her face showed not a sign of emotion, whatsoever.
"That's my girl. Always so obedient and willing to do whatever I tell you. After I remake this realm in my image, I am going to destroy Asgard and the Judgment Gate. And this time, nobody shall stand in our way," he said with a grin.
"Did somebody order an ass-kicking?" Kurumu said as she crashed through the glass ceiling and floated down to the floor below.
"You again! How did you find us?" Alucard cursed between his gritted teeth.
The water fountain in front of him glowed bright blue as the surface of the water bubbled to life. A moment later, Yukari rose out of the portal as she dragged Tsukune behind her. She then set him down on the tiled floor. The dark-haired mechanic then gasped for air as he realized where he was.
"That would be me, Alucard!" Tsukune said as Gungnir materialized in his right, open, hand. He then pointed the spear at his opponent with purpose in his gaze. Tsukune by nature was not a violent person, however that did not deter him from glaring at the fallen god with homicidal intent.
"If you want her back, turn over the spear of Odin to me. You have my word that she will be returned to normal," Alucard implored.
"Why? So you can control time and remake the world in your image?" Tsukune replied back as he gripped Gungnir tightly.
"Boy, what do you know?" Alucard inquired in a mocking voice.
"I know that you have a habit of lying!" Tsukune yelled back with a sharp stare.
"You have no idea what you say, boy. Give up the spear or else," Alucard said with a sneer.
"Never! Moka! I know you can hear me – let's go home and put all of this behind us, okay?" Tsukune replied as his features hardened and then softened slightly.
"Very well then. If that is how it is to be... Moka, you know what you must do," Alucard whispered to said goddess.
"Yes – Alucard."
Moka then raised her right hand above her. A strong wind then appeared out of nowhere as she focused her powers on her 'opponents'.
"Ah, what the hell? Moka! MOKA!" Tsukune yelped as he was tossed across the courtyard of the mall and into Kurumu. The mortal and lightning goddess tumbled across the floor and collided into a heap. Luckily, Tsukune fell face-first into her ample, semi-exposed, bosom.
"Big sis! You have to fight it! This isn't like you! Can't you see that you're being used again? You even hurt Tsukune!" Yukari cried loudly as her powers built up into a huge tidal wave of water which knocked Alucard and Moka off of their feet.
"Moka!" Tsukune said in a panic as he swam over to her side. She was not badly injured, just rendered temporarily, unconscious. Alucard was nowhere to be found, though.
"Ah! What the hell? Where is that bastard? I'm gonna kill him myself!" Kurumu screamed as the wall of water receded and saw no sign of him, either.
"Kurumu, Yukari! Moka's been hurt!" Tsukune said in a panic.
…
An hour later, after Moka had returned home to the temple, she sadly, remained, unconscious.
"Oh Angel who resides in the Norn of the Present, I ask you to make yourself known and to show your master's true self!" Kurumu chanted as she placed her hands over Moka's back.
Tsukune, Kyoko, and Yukari watched in anticipation as Mocaccino made her presence known as a soft, blue light filled the room as she spread her heavenly, feathered, wings.
The goddesses and mortals were shocked to see that the angelic apparition was covered in what could only be described as sharp-looking crystals, dark blue in color, which protruded out of her body.
"She's infected!" Yukari shouted which startled everyone in attendance.
"You're right! I gotta call Him right away," Kurumu said as she sprung to her feet and raced down the hallway to the telephone.
"Mocaccino... you poor angel..." Tsukune said as he held the Angel's hand in a comforting fashion.
'Please – help us Tsukune... we are in so – much pain... Ahhgh!' she communicated silently as she winced in agony. Several, smaller crystals sprouted from her wings, as well.
"We're gonna get you and Moka some help, so please hang in there, okay?" Tsukune replied to the silver-haired angel whom he cared about just as much as he did her outer self. They were two sides of the same woman, after-all.
'Thank you... Tsukune... but... please – hurry... time is – running out... for us,' she replied before she returned to inside her mistress.
"You can talk to her, Tsuki?" Kyoko asked, wide-eyed.
"Yeah, we have a sort of bond, Moka told me. Maybe it has to do with us meeting as kids or something. I'm not really sure though," he explained as he nervously scratched the back of his neck out of habit.
"Okay, I spoke to Father and he said that her connection to Yggdrasil is causing all sorts of problems. Numerous files have already been deleted or overwritten. It's a huge mess up there. Anyway, they think it has to do with the virus Moka's been affected with, hence her losing her memories of you, Tsukune. Anyway, we're gonna get her treated with an anti-virus program, but it's kinda dangerous. It's your call kiddo," Kurumu said as she held her own emotions back.
"I see. Well if it can save her, then I say we do it. So what do we do?" he said with love and compassion.
"Wait a minute... you don't mean – that, do you?" Yukari interjected.
"Yeah. The side effect is that – it could possibly erase all of her memories. Permanently."
"Hey if we can save her, then I say we do it! I wanna see that smile of hers everyday, Yukari. I know you're scared as we all are. But you do want your big sis back, don't ya" Tsukune said with a small smile.
"Yeah, you're right. I want big sis back. Let's do it, okay Kurumu," the junior goddess said with a tear in her eye.
"All right. I'll inform Him of our decision," Kurumu replied with a small smile herself. Tsukune had a good point, she mused. She was glad he held the same regard for her sister's well being, which she was rather grateful for.
…
Half an hour later, they were all gathered in the temple where a complex, magic circle was formed. A now-conscious Moka stood in the center of the large, wooden, room after Kurumu and Yukari had explained to her the short version of what happened to her and who had caused her to become infected.
"Just stand still Moka and we'll get that nasty virus out of ya' okay?" Kurumu said with a weak smile as she observed from the side-line if it were.
The goddesses were instructed to remain outside of the circle as well as any observers. Naturally, they had to be on their toes, just to be absolutely certain that the vaccination went on without a hitch.
"Okay sister. I'm ready," Moka said as she closed her eyes. The magic circle then glowed brighter as the vaccination program entered the temple.
Before their eyes, the vaccine opened a small hole inside of Moka.
"There it is! That's the virus that's affecting big sis and her connection to Yggdrasil!" Yukari excitedly shouted.
Without warning, several alarms blared in the Yggdrasil main-frame office.
The virus inside Moka has used her as a Trojan Horse-type virus since Goddesses are connected to Yggdrasil and it was able to infect the main system through her, although without direct access it was only able to make slow progress.
By injecting the vaccination directly into Moka, it made a connection into the main-frame itself! More seriously, while usurping this direct link, the virus rewrote itself as it used the vaccine, therefore turning itself into a program that bypassed all of Yggdrasil's security measures and firewalls.
Exploiting the direct link between Moka and Yggdrasil, Alucard hacked deep into the system mainframe, and accessed an enigmatic program that to this point was referred to only as top-secret.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhh!" Tsukune screamed as he raced forward and grabbed the virus itself!
On his face were the same octagonal markings as Alucard!
"Tsukune! Get back! No! Big sis!" Yukari wailed as the barrier crackled with energy as Tsukune walked right through it!
It would seem as though Alucard had possessed Tsukune via his nighttime kiss with Moka. It then pulled the program through Moka and incorporated it into the vaccine mandala. This created an enormous magical field that swallowed the temple and the surrounding forest.
Suddenly, three enormous tree trunks spiral from the ground and high into the sky, and a gargantuan being slowly materialized as it destroyed the temple and house next to it.
The three goddesses awoke a moment later and discovered they were hundreds of meters above the Earth, in the tree's massive branches.
"Moka! Kurumu!" Yukari shouted. Kyoko was nowhere to be found though.
"Ugh... what the hell? What? Where'd this tree come from?" Kurumu yelped once she came to.
"Sisters? Tsukune!" Moka said as she woke up herself and was back to normal. All of her memories were intact and she knew more or less, what had happened since they returned to Earth.
"Big sis! You're okay!" Yukari squealed with happiness as Moka floated over to her and gave her a sisterly hug.
"Yes, I'm fine Yukari. But where's Tsukune? Oh no... Alucard! He possessed my Tsukune!" Moka said in mild-horror as the realization set in.
"Hey there, little sister. Welcome back," Kurumu said as she joined her younger siblings.
"Kurumu! Alucard – he took Tsukune! What do we do?" Moka asked with panic.
"That's easy, we gotta stop him, or should I say, YOU gotta stop him. If this tree gets cut, it'll speed up time here on Earth, and we can't allow that to happen, right Yukari?" Kurumu said with conviction in her voice.
"That's right! I'm the Norn of the Future and I can't let that happen. Kurumu and I will stop this monster from chopping this tree down while you stop Tsukune... I mean Alucard," Yukari said with a smile which quickly turned into a slight frown.
"Oh big sis... I didn't mean that..." she said with a sniffle.
"But I can't! I can't hurt Tsukune! I won't do it!" Moka cried out.
"Look, we're the only Goddesses here on Earth. We're the Norns too, or have ya' forgotten? We have no say in the matter! Hey, focus here, Moka!" Kurumu said as she lightly shook Moka's shoulders.
"You're right. I'm sorry Kurumu," she said as she hung her head in shame.
"Forget about it okay? Now, go find your man and bring him back!" Kurumu said as she changed into her battle uniform. It was the same purple and black design, but was skin-tight and left nothing to the imagination.
Moka took her silent cue and changed into her Valkyrie gear.
It too mimicked the Norn of the Present's original robe pattern, but was a one-piece design as well. Yes, Moka held the same rank as a member of the Fighting Wings but was not much for battle, herself. She had to take the class as part of her First Class Goddess training and was more than capable of holding her own.
Kurumu and Yukari flew off and faced the monolithic creature who held a long-handled, gigantic scythe in its bony hands. Several explosions rocked the creature's torso and face as it was attacked mercilessly by the two, Second Class, deities.
Moka focused her powers and searched for the Alucard-possessed Tsukune. As she flew several meters above the ground, something metallic had caught her keen eyesight. She zoomed in for a closer look and landed near the object.
She gasped once she knew what it was.
Gungnir, the spear of Odin.
She then bent down and picked it up. Moka could feel the power it held and knew that it was the only way to stop Alucard and his plans for the realm of Midgard.
As a last resort, she would have to take the innocent life of her first love, Tsukune. Moka then placed her left hand over her heart as that somber thought alone caused her to heavily sob tears of anguish and regret.
"Tsukune..." she cried out as despair gnawed at her heart like a ravenous beast.
"Moka..." a soft-spoken voice replied.
She slowly turned around and saw that her one-and-only beloved was the mirror image of her teacher, minus his taller height, of course. The very one who had caused her much pain and grief, so many years ago by his betrayal against herself and Asgard.
"No! Stay back!" she cried out as she shed even more tears down her pink cheeks.
"I'm doing this for us Moka. You know that I've always loved you. Join me by my side and we can rule the new Midgard, together," he said with an outstretched, right hand.
"No more lies! Let my Tsukune go, you monster!" she yelled as she pointed the enchanted spear at Alucard / Tsukune.
"Tch. And here I thought you loved me. I mean – you killed those Valkyries for me, did you not?" he asked with a wicked grin.
"You manipulated me, Alucard. Never again will I allow you to hurt me or my loved ones. Now let him go – or else!" Moka demanded as she shook any doubt from her mind.
"Or what Moka? You'll kill him just to stop me? The boy you fell in love back then? I doubt it. You've changed much, my child. What a pity," he said with a scoff.
"Tsukune... I know you're in there... please. You can fight him! You're better than this! Don't let him do to you what he did to me. Fight back, my love!" she pleaded as she fell to her knees.
"Ahhhh! Ahhhhhhh! Get – out my head! DAMN YOU!" Tsukune screamed as he threw his head back in agony as he fought for control of his mind and body, once again.
"Yes! You're doing it my love! Fight him back! You can do this!" Moka cheered with a small smile.
"AHHHHHHHHHH! Ha... ha... haa... haaaa... haaaa... haaaaaaa! Ha ha ha!" Alucard taunted as he regained control of his host's body.
"No! Tsukune!" Moka shouted as her body glowed bright gold. She held out for as long as she could until... she lost control.
And then it happened.
The two, small chains which were attached to her ear snapped like thread.
She broke the seal and unleashed her true power as a First Class Goddess.
The ground under her feet crackled with unearthly energies as well as the air which surrounded her. Pure, unchecked power radiated from her like a star which had gone supernova. Even the atmosphere felt heavier, due to her unlimited abilities.
Moka could destroy the entire universe, just by mere thought alone if she desired to, but remained entirely in control.
Alucard / Tsukune stepped back as he witnessed her hair color change from bubble gum pink to bright, silvery, platinum. The elongated, diamond marking in the center of her forehead morphed into an oval shape with the center cut out, with a smaller, blue circle, in the middle of it. The smaller markings on her cheeks reflected the larger pattern, similarly.
The only physical detail that remained unchanged were her emerald green eyes which still held some of her innocence.
"No, it can't be! You broke your seal!" Alucard stated in disbelief as her confidence changed drastically to reflect her true self.
"You caused me to Alucard. This is your doing. If you had released Tsukune, then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Now come at me and see how you stand up to an unsealed, first class, goddess." Moka said with a smirk.
The two deities came at each other at the speed of light as they exchanged blow to blow. The air literally exploded from each impact like anything never seen.
The two fought for several minutes before Moka placed a well-aimed blow to his chest with her extended leg. He collided with a large tree which shattered upon impact.
"Moka!" Kurumu shouted from high above as she watched in fascination as her younger sister held her own against an Alucard-possessed, Tsukune.
"Tsukune... I'm sorry. I am so sorry my love... but... it... ends here. Farewell Tsukune. I shall... always... remember and love you... forever..." Moka cried as she held Gungnir perpendicular to the ground and came at Alucard full speed.
* crack *
The center tip of the golden spear split the mask-shaped tablet in half.
It then crumbled to dust as Alucard's essence faded away into the wind.
"I guess it ends here. I am sorry if I caused you any grief, Moka. I did it for you and only wanted you to be happy. I pray that you can someday forgive my selfish ways and have a happy life," his voice said as he evaporated into nothingness.
A moment later, all of the destruction caused by Alucard's influence vanished as well and looked as if nothing had happened. The only casualty was the Tariki Hongan Temple and house.
"What the hell just happened?" Kyoko said as she popped her head up from a space under the debris which used to be her shared home with Tsukune and the goddesses.
Moka dropped the spear and ran over to Tsukune whose body was still. His features returned to normal since the fallen god was banished from existence, once and for all.
Kurumu, Yukari, and Kyoko followed Moka and knelt down to his motionless form.
"No! Tsukune!" Moka wailed as she reached down and tenderly held him in her arms.
"Oh no... Tsuki! What happened here? Kurumu? Yukari? Can someone please tell me what the hell's goin' on?!" Kyoko wailed out in frustration as she had not a clue as to what transpired over the course of the past, hour or so,
"No, no no! This can't be happening! Not again!" Yukari yelled in despair.
"Oh Moka... I'm so sorry..." Kurumu said as she shed several tears and shared her sister's grief. The poor kid. Cut down in the prime of his youth. If only she could have helped Moka fight off Alucard, maybe things would have turned out differently.
"My beloved Tsukune... please... it cannot end like this... not since I found you and fell in love with you once again... I wish...I wish to see you smile again... oh Tsukune..." Moka cried as she sobbed heavily and prayed like she had never prayed before.
"Tsuki... you gotta come back... you promised that you'd do the right thing... with Moka.. so... so you're not allowed to die, ya' hear me! Y-you can't die today! You can't give up... not like this!" Kyoko shouted as she shook her fist at the clear, blue, sky above.
Yukari took his demise rather hard and knew that it was not supposed to end that way. She was the Norn of the Future, after-all. But she was powerless and had no idea what to do besides comfort her big sister.
"My dear Tsukune...I shall always love you... forever..." Moka said as she pulled him into her full bosom and held him for as long as she had the will to do so.
…
"Ow... Moka... can't... breathe..." the former corpse known as Tsukune Aono gasped out as he waved both of his arms in a futile endeavor to break free from Moka's "hug of doom".
"Tsukune? TSUKUNE! You're not dead! Oh thank goodness!" Moka cried with joy as she gave him another affectionate squeeze.
"Ow! Moka! My ribs!" he yelped out, unsure as to what had just transpired.
"Ya-hoo-hoo! All right! He's not dead after-all!" Kurumu shouted with a hearty fist-pump. Yukari and Kyoko joined in the group hug as they were overwhelmed with joy that he was very much, alive and kicking.
…
Several minutes after the harem-hug, Moka sat down and gave Tsukune a run-down of what had happened, which included his so-called "death".
"So... um, I was dead... again?" he asked with a sweat-drop.
"I don't believe so, but you were not responsive. And I apologize for hitting you so hard and almost -" Moka said with a tear as she thought back to where he was for all intents and purpose, more or less, living impaired.
"Hey, don't worry about it Moka... and I gotta say, I do like the new look," he said as he ran his fingers through her silvery hair.
"Oh, okay, Tsukune. Oh, um... thank you," she replied with a blush as she leaned against him and sighed heavily a sigh of relief.
"No problem Moka," he said with a goofy grin.
"Uh, this is nice and whatnot, but our house is still DESTROYED!" Yukari shouted which brought the love-struck couple out of their fog.
"Oh right. Silly me. I'll fix it right away," Moka said as she unraveled herself from her beau, stood up, and faced the debris which was formerly their home and Temple.
"I am the Goddess Moka, I command thee to return to thy former beauty and remember who you once were!" she said with authority in her voice.
Then pieces of debris reformed with each other as if they were being played back in reverse. Everyone watched in fascination as their home, belongings, and the temple repaired themselves as if they were new. It was over in a minute if that and they would not have believed it if they had not seen it for themselves, firsthand.
"Wow Moka! Your powers are truly amazing!" Tsukune praised as he pulled her into an affectionate hug.
"Oh thank you Tsukune. I only used less than one ten-millionth of my full power," she answered, followed with a soft kiss on his lips.
"Ah, I see," he said as he gasped for air after her loving embrace.
"Okay, wonderful. Moka's awesome. Can we go inside now? I'm beat and need some booze," Kurumu said as she grabbed Yukari by her free hand and dragged her into their recently, rebuilt, home.
"Kurumu! Oh um... I'm tired too so if it's okay, I'm going to see if we have any ice cream in the freezer," Yukari said as she waved to the happy couple.
"Oh yeah, Would ya' look at the time? I got – somewhere to be," Kyoko said as she took the hint and left the couple to themselves.
"What the heck was that all that about?" Tsukune asked with a sweat-drop.
Moka then whispered something in Tsukune's ear which caused him to blush bright red.
…
As the residents of Tariki Hongan Temple attempted to calm down from their very tiring day, the phone in the hallway which disturbed the peaceful household once again.
"I've got it," Moka called out. She then picked up the receiver and answered it in a proper way.
"Good evening. Aono residence. This is Moka speaking."
"Good evening, daughter," the other end replied.
"Oh Father! What do I owe the pleasure of your call?" she asked somewhat nervously.
"I have called to congratulate you on your defeat of Alucard."
"Oh, thank you Father."
"And to also say I am not happy with you breaking your power limiter, but it was understandably, unavoidable."
"I am sorry Father, but what you say is true as I had no other option at the time."
"It's all right Moka. I shall forgive this one transgression. However the damage caused by Alucard's virus has resulted in many issues which we are still trying to fix on our end."
"Thank you father. How bad is the damage, if I may ask?" she inquired as a small knot formed in the pit of her stomach as she patiently awaited his reply.
Ba-bump
Ba-bump
Ba-bump
Ba-bump
It seemed as if time had stopped for the young goddess as her heart hammered heavily inside her rib-cage.
"I would say – less than five percent, was unfortunately, lost - due to his tampering."
"I see," she said with a small sigh.
"However, I must sadly inform you that – your contract with Mister Aono – was part of the lost data. I am sorry daughter. You know the rules despite his unusual wish. You can either return to Asgard or stay on Midgard. The choice is yours daughter. I will speak to you soon. That is all," Issa said.
Moka then dropped the receiver to the floor in shock.
"Our contract – was lost?" she said as she still had a difficult time digesting what her father had just told her.
"Our contract was lost?" Tsukune repeated as he walked up to her as she remained glued in place.
"Oh Tsukune..." she said as she turned around and held him tightly. He hugged her in return and was at a loss of words.
…
"I don't believe this shit!" Kurumu said as she slammed her empty cup on the low, wooden table as she heard for herself what her father had told Moka regarding her and Tsukune's contract.
"Sister, please. I'm upset as well," Moka said with sadness as she held Tsukune's left hand and refused to let go of him for any reason, whatsoever.
"Sorry... sorry. So. What are ya' gonna do about it, huh?" Kurumu said with a slur as she poured herself another cup of Saké.
"It's okay Kurumu. I know you meant well," her pink-haired sister replied with another sigh.
"Yeah, it's not your fault big sis. It's that stupid demon's fault for letting him out, anyway," Yukari replied.
"You're both right..." Moka answered with another sigh.
"Hey Moka? Would you like to - go for a walk with me? Maybe a change of scenery would do ya' some good," Tsukune suggested as he gave her hand a gentle squeeze.
"Oh yes. That sounds like a wonderful idea. Let's go then, shall we?" Moka said as she was pulled to her feet by her ever-thoughtful boyfriend. Contract or not, that was one fact that had not changed. Moka said it herself, anyway.
She just had to be reminded as much, that is all.
…
Once the couple were outside in the midsummer, night, air, they both felt somewhat better. The pair stayed quiet, unsure of what to say. They just held hands as Tsukune led Moka towards the woods that were located behind the Temple.
Before she knew it, Moka found herself – somewhere familiar. Her face then lit up when she remembered where she was.
"Tsukune... this is – where we first met, isn't it?" she asked with a bashful smile.
He just smiled and walked her over the center of the clearing. Moka then stepped up on a small, flat rock. He then walked back about 5 meters or so. She slowly turned around as he walked back to her.
Moka then smiled as she recalled that fateful day, from her point of view.
"Why, hello there! My name's Moka! Nice to meet you!" she said as she smiled brighter.
"Are you - um - an – angel?" he inquired as he stepped back a bit, startled by her sudden closeness when he saw just how cute she was.
"Why no, silly. I'm not an angel. I'm a Goddess!" she happily replied to his question.
"Oh, I see," he quietly replied, caught off-guard by her strange answer.
"My name's – Tsukune Aono... nice to m-meet you, too," he said as he stuck out his right hand, as she shook it enthusiastically in return.
"This is very strange...", she started, "...no human should ever be able to see that light. Oh! I know! You must be a friend of Nature then!" she adorably replied, as she let out a little innocent laugh.
"So, uh... yeah. I remembered all of this. Weird huh?" Tsukune said as he lifted her up and then pulled her into a hug.
"I can see that. I'm very sorry that I had to keep this from you Tsukune," she said in a sad, child-like voice.
"Hey, it's okay Moka. I told ya' to seal my memories because I didn't wanna see ya' in trouble because – I fell in love with you back then. That much I know... and also – our other promise," he said as his face grew hot from not only her warm body against his, but what he had told her when they first met, just before she returned to Asgard.
"I see. Yes, I recall – our promise as well," Moka answered as she placed her head on his right shoulder.
"That's good," he said, his voice barely audible.
"Tsukune... I have something that I want to do with you," Moka said as she stood up and looked into his kind, chocolate-brown eyes.
"Of course Moka. Sure," he answered with a smile.
"Now please answer yes to everything that I'm about to say," Moka said with a serious tone.
"Yes."
"Do you trust me wholeheartedly without question?" she asked with a smile.
"Yes."
"Do you hereby agree to dissolve any and all contracts with the Goddess Moka, First Class, Commercial category, Unlimited License?"
"Yes."
Moka's essence then faded from his vision for a moment.
"Huh? What the heck?" he yelped, unsure of what happened to Moka.
She then reappeared a moment later, dressed in her Goddess robes.
"Now having nullified any original contracts with the Goddess Moka, First Class, Commercial category, Unlimited License, you agree, Tsukune Aono, to accept a newly-proposed contract?" Moka asked as her cheeks tinted light pink.
"Yes," he answered with a light gulp.
"Whereby, Tsukune Aono, hereby forms with the Goddess Moka, First Class, Commercial category, Unlimited License, a true contract – namely – do you wish to unite with me?"
"Huh?" he asked with a quirked brow.
"Provided that should the following condition be refused, this contract shall be null and void: the contractor vows to face any and all types of trials with the contractee. Should this condition not be fulfilled at that time, further contact with said Goddess shall be prohibited for the remainder of the contractor's life. Do you consent to this?" Moka asked as her expression changed to a bit more serious.
'Trials? What trials?'
"Yes," he replied once he gave her unusual statement a brief thought.
"That's right, you also have the right to refuse, you know," she said.
"That's not what I meant!" he quickly objected before she arrived at the wrong conclusion.
"I told ya' back then didn't I? That I loved you Moka... and I still do – all these years later. And that would never change, okay?" he said with a smile as he reached over and held her hands once again.
"Yes. And I have loved you all this time as well," she replied with a warm smile.
"Oh Moka..."
"Tsukune?"
"Yes?"
"We shall now seal our new contract with – a kiss," Moka said as she slowly fluttered her green eyes closed and pursed her pink, pouty, lips. Tsukune leaned forward as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. He then pulled her into a tight embrace and savored their passionate kiss with fierce intensity.
It was just like their very first, kiss – but exponentially so much more.
The entire area where they stood burst with hundreds of thousands of colorful flowers.
Tsukune and Moka were covered from head to toe, as their new contract blossomed into something they never expected.
"Tsukune... my Tsukune..." she moaned as their tongues wrestled playfully.
"Moka... my sweet... Moka.."
...
Several minutes later, they reluctantly ceased their amazing kiss as they both felt rather lightheaded.
Moka leaned against Tsukune as she felt closer to him than ever before since she was the one who initiated their new contract.
"That was... something else..." Tsukune admitted as his face was flushed and hot to the touch.
"Yes... much more than – I expected," Moka agreed as she stood up and then leaned against him once again.
"Are you okay, Moka?" he asked out of loving concern.
"I feel a little – tired," was her direct reply.
"Well, I could uh – carry you back to the house..." he suggested.
"Thank you, Tsukune. I'd – really like that," Moka answered with a small smile.
"Oh uh, it's my pleasure," he said.
He then surprised Moka as he effortlessly scooped her up in his arms and carried her bridal-style back to the house. They were glad that her sisters and his cousin had already gone off to bed since everyone had such an 'interesting' day, to say the least.
As soon as the exhausted couple changed into their nightwear and last kiss of the night, they both fell into the peaceful pull of slumber, wrapped in each other arms for the entire night.
Yes, the Goddess and her mortal were rather thankful for each other and the happiest they had been since they first fell in love.
Little did they know their new contract was more or less... what?
You expect me to spoil it for you? You think this story is over yet?
Well, I'd have to answer a resounding "no" to both of those questions, my dear, faithful, readers. This unique tale is far from over. That much I can say without giving too much away.
