As the day is coming to an end, every student of Canterlot High started to leave home. Sonic is walking with his new friends and teammates of his basketball team while the others were going on their way. "It will be sure awesome to work with us, sugarcube," said Applejack with a smile. "I know AJ. So, practice after school tomorrow, girls?" asked Sonic. "You know it, Skye," said Dash as she kisses him on the cheek. "Well, we should be heading home now. See you tomorrow, Skye," said Dash as she starts walking home with Pinkie. Sonic hops on his skateboard and starts to skate home. Nasir tries to find Kira and sees her on the left talking to a business man driving a Honda Civic. His skin is white, his slick back hair is blue, his eyes is purple and is wearing a white suit. "So, I just saying it's not too late to start thinking about your future, Ms. Chi. I'm only here to see your full potential once you graduate from Canterlot High," said the man in a caring voice. "I know, Altiar. It's just that, I've started today with my freshman year. I barely got through the first day. I need more time to think and get use to this," said Kira as she rubs her arm. He nods and said "Of course, Ms. Chi. I just wanted to make sure that you are making the right choice. I see your 'boyfriend' is coming to meet you. With that, I will bid you adieu." He bows at her as he gets in his car and drives off. Nasir goes to her and said "Your college rep again?" "Yes, Nasir. Don't be so jealous, my love," said Kira as she kisses him sweetly. Nasir kissing her back and smiles. "He's just looking out for my future, my love. I belong to you and only you, my dear," said Kira as she lays her head on his chest and smiles. "I know, my sweet Kira-wira," said Nasir with a smile. "So, we're still up for me hanging out at your place this weekend?" asked Kira in a calm voice. "Of course, my love," said Nasir. A limo pulls up to the school and the driver comes out to greet them. "Master Nasir, I am here to pick you up," said the driver. "Very good, my dear driver," said Nasir as he kisses her softly and get into his limo. Kira looked on as she sees the limo driving away and said "Is Nasir's family rich? Hmm…I'll ask him about it tomorrow." She hops on her scooter and drives home.
At the home of Sonic Skychaser, Sonic was in his room doing his online research on the upcoming opponents for the Wondercolts basketball season. Kala hops on his lap and purrs at him softly. "Hmm…alright. Let see who are the top 3 team are the Shadowcolts led by team captain Yoru Starcatcher, the Crystal Dunkers led by team captain Sunny Blaze, and the world champion are the Wolfcats led by team captain Ezio Lovelace. Those are some very impressive team. We got to put together a pretty good game plan if we ever meet them this season," said Sonic as he starts to drink his orange juice and then he sees a name of a new school, which he never heard of, with a link. He clicked on it and starts reading the article which said:
Astylar Academy, one of the new premiere private high schools, has announced today that they will put together a basketball team to take on the high school basketball championship circuit. Astylar Academy's headmistress Murcia Sky stated in a press release 'Astylar Academy is very proud for putting together our very own premiere basketball team for our inaugural season. I am also committed that we will have the most special players that we have recruited and have become pros in both college and NBA.' Later on, she then offers newcomers for tryouts on the team. Is it possible for Astylar Academy basketball team, who dubbed themselves as the Astylar Knights, to win the championship in their 1st season? Only time will tell…
"Astylar Knights? Hmm…kinda fishy. I've never heard about this school nor this team. Maybe mom would know about this," said Sonic as he gets up and heads downstairs to the dinner with Kala in his arms. Once he's downstairs, his parents Mark and Sonia is eating dinner. "Sonic, my son. Dinner's ready," said Sonia with a smile. Sonic sits at the table and starts eating. Kala hops to the floor and starts eating her dinner. "So how was your 1st day of school?" asked Mark while he is eating. "It was awesome, father. I met some new friends and I'm the newest team captain of the Wondercolts basketball team," said Sonic as he keep eating. "That's amazing, Sonic. It's about time we've got someone to help Canterlot High to be a contender. What happened to their old team captain?" asked Sonia. "He left after losing to me and being stripped of his team captain status. He was very mean to Applejack and Rainbow Dash. He disrespect them about their playing style and everything," said Sonic. "No wonder the Wondercolts haven't won many games in the past few seasons. I'm glad that he is gone," said Sonia. "Also mom, have you heard of a school called Astylar Academy?" asked Sonic. Sonia takes a deep breath and said "Yes. I've heard about that school. That school have been trying to recruit the best players before they came out of middle school. It's just that they are picking up the best players before the other schools can get them. In fact, they almost picked you up." "What?! Me?" asked Sonic in a shocked voice. "Well yes, Sonic. But you are one of the smarts one. You wanted to be a Wondercolt just like your mother and I," said Mark. "Besides, you're happy at Canterlot High. It is the school you've been dying to go to. Even when you was 5, you've been begging me to have you enrolled into Canterlot High when you get older…well that and a PS3 with NBA2K11," said Sonia with a chuckle. Sonic chuckles softly and said "You got me there, mom." The Skychaser family continue eating their dinner.
In the home of Fluttershy, she was in her pink nightgown on her bed and petting her bunny named Angel. "It was a nice day, Angel. I met a lot of new friends like Sonic and the others," said Fluttershy with a smile. Angel nuzzles up to her and eating his carrot. She looks up at the ceiling and said "Hmm…I hope we become good friends, Angel." She yawns softly and falls asleep.
In the home of Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash & Scootaloo, Dash was looking over some game tapes of last season while Pinkie was busy making dinner and Scootaloo was playing Pokemon Y on her red Nintendo 3DS. Knowing that the new season is coming up soon, she needs to look over her old games and see if she can improve her game. "Come on, Dashie. You've been looking at your game tapes ever since you got home. Can you at least relax?" asked Pinkie as she continues making dinner. "I can't, Pinkie. I need to get ready and better for the upcoming season. Plus, Sonic is the new team captain for the Wondercolts. So I need to be at my best," said Dash as she pauses her tape. "Don't worry, Dash. I'm sure you'll rock this season," said Scootaloo while she was in a battle. "Thanks, squirt," said Dash with a chuckle. Pinkie smiles at her and said "Oh really, Dashie? I didn't know you have a crush on him." Dash blushes deeply and said "N-no! It is not that! I'm just want to impress him that all, Pinkie!" "Of course it is, Dashie. You know, you can ask him to give you his phone number tomorrow so you two can talk about 'basketball-related' topics," said Pinkie as she gets dinner ready and winks at her as if giving her a hint. Dash was about to tell her something not nice, but then she thought about what she said and said "That's not a bad idea, Pinkie. I'll do it tomorrow after practice. But right now, let's eat." Pinkie smiles as she, Scootaloo, & Dash begins eating dinner.
In the home of the Apple Family, Applejack was in Applebloom's room helping her with her homework. "Thank you for helping my homework, big sis," said Applebloom with a smile. "It ain't nothing, AB. I wanted to see you succeed just like me and Big Mac," said Applejack as she rubs Applebloom's red hair. "So, I heard that this Sonic fella is the new team leader of the Wondercolts?" asked Applebloom with a smile. "You can say that. He showed a lot of heart and have some wicked skills, or so I've been told by RD," said Applejack with a smile. "So, does this mean that you guys will finally win a championship this win?" asked Applebloom. "It's possible, AB. But we have to do some practice and getting used to each of our playing styles. Dashie's playing style is more of a flashy style of a Power Forward as my playing style is more of a defensive center," said Applejack. "I see. So what is Sonic's playing style?" asked Applebloom. "Hmm…I don't know. When we played against him, he was playing like he was both having fun and helping his team. He was very caring to his teammates and has the will to win," said Applejack. "Hmm…well, if I was you, I say you should try to test his by playing a mock game. Only then you should be able to know his style," said Applebloom. "You'll think that would work?" asked Applejack as she was a little nervous . "It's better than nothing in my opinion, big sis," said Applebloom with a soft chuckle. "Hmm…I guess it wouldn't hurt. But back to your homework, AB," said Applejack. AB hugs her as she continues her homework.
In the home of Rarity & Sweetie Belle, she was busy reading Acura Sky & The Thrones of Doom by Serena Lin while Sweetie was watching TV. "Sweetie, can you be a dear and turn the TV down a bit? I'm at the very important part of the book," said Rarity in a calm. Sweetie sighs as she turns the TV down and said "Why do you always read that book, sis?" "It is the most important book of the series, Sweetie. I've already finished Acura Sky & The Lost Treasure, Acura Sky & The Cold Heart of Greed, and Acura Sky & The Crystal of Fate. I need to finish this book because Serena Lin said that there will be a movie series on the 1st 4 books and she will be releasing her final book of the Acura Sky series. Plus, I heard that she will be a playable character in the upcoming new fighter game Super Smash Bros. X," said Rarity as she keeps reading. "But who is Acura Sky, sis? You always talking about her like she's a superhero or something," said Sweetie. "A superhero? Oh heavens no, Sweetie. She's a legendary treasure hunter who goes to the most dangerous points of the world and try to get the treasure before the bad guys do. She's like a combination of Indiana Jones, Lara Croft of the Tomb Raider series, & Nathan Drake of the Uncharted series all rolled into one. She tends to get rough up in some of the chapters and get shot at from the bad guys, but she will not stop till she get what she wants," said Rarity. "I see. So once you finished reading that, what's the name of the final book?" asked Sweetie. "Acura Sky: Final Legacy. I don't know what is going to happen, but I know it is going to be good!" screamed Rarity in a fan girl squeal before she regain her composure and put a bookmark in her book. "Well, it should be interesting. I'm heading to bed. See in the morning, sis," said Sweetie as she kisses her cheek and heads to her bed. Rarity smiles as she yawns and heads to bed.
In the home of Twilight Sparkle, she was reading one of her books while her older brother, Shining Armor, is busy kissing Cadence, her former babysitter and his girlfriend. "Ugh! Get a room, you two," said Twilight in a playful voice. Cadence giggles softly and said "Good one, Twilight. So, how was your day in school?" "It was great. I met a lot of new friends, including a new student," said Twilight with a smile. "Oh, really? What's his name?" asked Shining. "His name is Sonic Skychaser and he is the newest member of the Canterlot Wondercolts basketball team," said Twilight. "Skychaser…Skychaser…I know that name. The Skychasers are the Canterlot High alumni class. My parents were classmate with them," said Cadence. "That's interesting, Cadence," said Twilight as she pets her dog Spike. "We should get together with his family over dinner," said Shining. "We should talk to mom and dad about this, Shining," said Twilight in a calm voice. "You're right, Twily. Well, I'm off to bed. See you in the morning, you two," said Shining as he yawns softly and head to his room to sleep. "Yeah, me too. It's getting kinda late. I'll see you tomorrow at your school," said Cadence as she leaves the house. Twilight smiles as she picks up Spike and heads into her room.
In the home of Kira Chi, she was busy eating dinner with her older sister Kiya and Lucifer, Kiya's husband. "Mmmm…this is a wonderful dinner," my love," said Lucifer as he takes another bite. "Only for you, my king," said Kiya as she kisses his cheek, "so how is your boyfriend, little sister?" Kira blushes softly and said "He is doing fine. In fact, this weekend I'll be staying over his place to meet his family." "I see. Well Vasilis, your drama teacher, have given me a call and said that you will be in an upcoming play. Is this true?" asked Kiya in a sweet voice. "It's not like I have a choice in the matter," said Kira in a low voice and eats her dinner. "Let me guess, you didn't want to be in the play, Kira?" asked Lucifer. "That's the understatement of the year, Lucifer. I really don't want to be in this play Vasilis…" said Kira as she looks down softly. "I detect a 'but' in that sentence, sister," said Kiya as she looks at her. "But, I want to be close to my dear wittle Nasir. I love him so much. I…I can't do that to him," said Kira in a worried voice. "Well, we are having dinner with him and Nasir tomorrow night. So we will be asking questions about them. It's only fitting that the parents get involved with their children's future," said Kiya with a smile. "Are you sure, dear sister? He can be a sneaky man if you're not careful," said Kira as she drinks her juice. Kiya chuckles softly and said "No mortal being nor man can ever out trick me, little sis. If I can find his weak point, then he's easy picking." "That explains how you manage to make me yours, my sweet Kiya," said Lucifer as he kisses her softly. She kisses him back and holds him tightly. Kira smiles and thinks about her Nasir. "Hmm…I wonder what my wittle Nasir is up to right now…" said Kira in a calm voice.
In the mansion of Vasilis, Nasir was in his room laying on his bed and looking at the many pictures of him and Kira. "Thinking about that girl again, little brother?" asked a female voice. He look to see his twin sister looking at him with a smile. She looks actually like him only her hair is dark purple and in pigtails, her purple crescent moon is on her cheek and her lips is purple. Her clothing is a gothic skirt, gothic boots, black t-shirt and black gloves. "Oh Nasira. She is such a wonderful jewel. A jewel that I must have," said Nasir. "Of course, dear brother. Anywho, Vasilis has sent me her to take you to his private study. He and Shalana, his wife, want to speak to you about you and Kira," said Nasira as she hugs him tightly. He hugs her back and said "It must be serious if he sent you here to get me. Normally it would have been Kataluna to do the job." "Well, she is busy getting you your daily pack. You look a bit drained," said Nasira as she giggles softly. He grins as he rubs her hair and said "Funny, sis. Let's go see Vasilis, Nasira." She nods as both him and her head to Vasilis' study. The mansion they are living in is a large one filled with medieval items and historical artifacts. There are even statues and coffins with bat emblems on them in the walls. Once they have made it to Vasilis' study, he knocks on the door. "Enter…" said Vasilis' voice inside the room. They enter the study and sees Shalana and Vasilis reading books about historical drama plays. "Hmm…this is very interesting, my dear. Ever thought of doing a tragedy, my love?" asked Shalana with a wicked smile. "Don't tempt me with that idea, Shalana. I was very close of doing one myself," said Vasilis with a chuckle. "Vasilis. You've summon me," said Nasir as he bows at him. Vasilis goes to him and rubs his sliver hair. "Arise, oh great prince. It's been awhile since you've been in this room, Nasir," said Vasilis with a smile. "Hello, my sweet nephew," said Shalana as she kisses him on his cheek and gives him a bat shaped cookie. "Hello, auntie Shalana," said Nasir as he holds her and eats his cookie. "So, how was your 1st day of school, Nasir?" asked Shalana as she hugs him back. "It was great, auntie Shalana. The classes are great, the school is perfect and I met a lot of great friends," said Nasir. "He even has that Kira Chi chick as his girlfriend, Shalana," said Nasira with a smile. "Is this true, Nasir?" asked Shalana. "Yes. I do. And I love her so much. I overheard you guys are going to her home for dinner tomorrow night. Is this true?" asked Nasir with a grin. "That is true, Nasir. You, me and my beautiful wife are going to have a nice and interesting dinner. Now, you two need to get to bed. You have school tomorrow and you need to keep your grades up," said Vasilis in a parental voice. Nasir & Nasira nods softly as they head off to bed. Shalana holds Vasilis and said "Does he really need to go to that school, my love? You and I both know that he is way smart and better than the other students in this realm." "I know what you are say, my love. But, if he wants to study here and live the life of a normal teenage boy, who are we to judge? As long as he's happy, I'm happy. That's all that matters," said Vasilis with a smile. "I see. So, is this Kira girl he's dating could be the one?" asked Shalana in a calm voice. "It's a strong possibility but let's wait until tomorrow night. I do want to study Ms. Chi's parents and her love for Nasir," said Vasilis with a sly grin on his face. "Understood, my love," said Shalana as she kisses him softly and heads to bed with him.
Back at Sonic's home, he lays in his bed and sets his alarm clock to wake him up in the morning. He yawns and said "Well, today was pretty awesome. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?" Kala hops up on the bed and nuzzles him sweetly while mewing softly. He rubs her chin making her purr and said "Well at least you don't have to worry about school, Kala." Kala mews some more and licks his nose with his tongue. He smiles as he kisses her forehead, lay his head on the pillow and falls asleep. Kala snuggles up to him and falls asleep with her master.
At the Astylar Academy on the far end of the city, Murcia was in her office typing up the necessary paperwork for Thunder Lane to become an official student and team leader of the Astylar Knights basketball team on her laptop. "This paperwork will make him the student of our school. Then again, he is just a pawn of my master plan. This basketball season will be part of my plan for my master," said Murcia with an evil chuckle. She got an email from one of her scouts with a detail report on Canterlot High's Sonic Skychaser. "Ah. An e-mail about this Skychaser character. I need to read on his little game he had with Thunder Lane," said Murcia as she click on the e-mail and the file opens up detailing Sonic Skychaser.
