Hello all. I would like to thank DemonWithAShotgun, MaddyR, SummerMistedDragon, WhiteKnight066, QueenWoofy and Little Cinch for all the wonderful reviews. I would also like to thank all you lovely people who have followed and favoured since my last update. You are all awesome.
So firstly sorry I haven't updated for a little while, I haven't been feeling very well and as such my brain has been a big ole bowl of mushy peas. Secondly this is the penultimate chapter, so I hope you like it.
Disclaimer: I don't own Supernatural.
The group got to the entrance of the storage unit before Crowley stopped walking and turned to them with a smug look on his face.
"I think me and prophet boy should go on alone from here." The demon said smugly, though he sensibly didn't try to shrug off the hand on his shoulder, he wasn't that stupid after all.
"Yeah, I don't think so." Dean responded with a growl. There was no way in hell he was letting Crowley go anywhere with Kevin alone.
"Well I doubt my evil minions will be too helpful in handing over his mother if I walk through the door with the Winchesters and feathers here do you Squirrel?" Crowley asked as if Dean was crazy for thinking that they could all go.
"Easy answer to that. Kill your minions then get Kevin's mom out of there." Dean replied smirking at the demon. He wasn't letting Crowley go until he had Linda with them.
"I doubt even this illustrious collection of beings could kill them all." Crowley replied waving his hand around all the people there.
"I'll go in with him and Kevin. Make sure he doesn't try anything." Gabriel finally suggested with a sigh. He knew that this was some kind of trap Crowley was trying to arrange. Though who it was for he didn't know. What he did know was that he needed to be alert.
"Me try anything? Now why would I do that?" Crowley turned to him to ask with a fake innocence in his voice.
"Oh I don't know, maybe cos you the king of hell?" Gabriel replied in a conversational tone. He kind of enjoyed sparring with this guy sometimes, you know, like when he knew he would win.
"Oh yes. I guess you have a point there." Crowley replied with a nod. The archangel wasn't so bad, well except he was an archangel of course.
"I always do." Gabriel responded a smug smile of his own on his lips now. With that Gabriel pushed Crowley towards the door and made sure that Kevin stayed at his side. He wasn't going to let Crowley get his hands on the boy after all.
Once inside they were greeted by a demon and Gabriel could feel the warding around the place suppressing his powers. Damn he might need them, though of course as the archangel in charge of heaven he still had more power than Crowley could deal with. It was just he hated having to accept this situation. What he really wanted to do was just smite every demon in the place and get Linda Tran out of there and away from harm. Hmm, he was starting to sound like a Winchester, yep he had been spending far too much time with Dean.
"I've brought the prophet to see mummy dearest, bring her out." Crowley demanded to the demon behind the counter, trying to give off an air of authority even if Gabriel did have hold of his shoulder.
The demon looked at his king warily as he took in both the boy at his side and the man holding his shoulder, who was that and how was it he could touch the king? But he wasn't going to question a direct order, as such he made a call to bring out Linda Tran.
"Who's your companion, sire?" The demon asked once the call had been placed, he still didn't trust the man with his hand on the shoulder of the king.
"Who him? Oh he's I one I want you to kill." Crowley replied shrugging off Gabriel's hand. Suddenly they were surrounded by demons.
"Don't kill the prophet, we could use him." Crowley continued to his minions. With that the demons moved forwards in an attempt to surround Gabriel who just smiled like a crazy person at them. Did they really think they had a chance? Did Crowley really think this was going to work? It was then that he saw out of the corner of his eye that the king of hell was moving to get his hand on Kevin. There was no way Gabriel was going to let that happen. As such he sent an SOS to Castiel who was waiting outside.
Dean was on edge while he waited for Gabriel and Kevin to return with Linda. He couldn't believe he had agreed to let them go in there alone, but needs must he guessed. He just wished he knew what was going on inside. Suddenly the angel who was standing next to him straightened and turned to blast open the doors before storming in. Dean had no idea what was going on, but one thing he did know was that he was going to follow Cas. Cos he guessed that this mean that there was trouble, what a surprise.
Entering the room he saw Gabriel surrounded by demons, he was going to go and help, but as he watched he saw the archangel causally stab one with his blade and smite another with a touch as if it was as easy as breathing and as such realised that he had that under control. Turning instead to see where Kevin was he saw that he had Crowley advancing on him. Yeah Dean wasn't going to let that happen thank you very much. As such he and Cas moved to place themselves in-between the king of hell and the prophet, just let him try going through them.
Crowley was nearly at Kevin's side. He knew he didn't have long before Gabriel killed all the demons, but he only needed enough time to get the prophet. Then the doors burst open and suddenly Castiel, Dean and Sam were in front of him, all of them pushing Kevin behind them. Bollocks. This was not going to be easy. Not that would stop him from trying of course.
Crowley was considering which way to kill the three in front of him, when he remembered Gabriel's message. Looking over at the fight he had tried to use as a distraction he saw the archangel destroy the last of the demons he had called with the touch of a finger on the meat suits head. Well bollocks, it seemed that he was out of time. So pulling himself together Crowley turned and gave all those present a smug smile.
"Linda is in the Q section, I keep my deals. You can't blame me for trying to make it better for myself now can you?" And with that he teleported away. He had lost his chance to get the prophet or kill the Winchesters, but he was alive and free to fight another day. And fight he would, even if it took him years to come up with a plan, he would, one day, win.
The remaining three people and two angels shared looks making sure that they were all good before moving as one towards the area of the storage unit Crowley had told them that Linda Tran was being held. Looking at a map they saw there were three isolated units in that area, and as such agreed that they should check them all for possible hostages.
They found Linda crouched on the floor of her unit, chained up and barely able to move, but she was alive. And when her eyesight adjusted and she saw who it was who was standing in front of her she could not be happier to see her son with the Winchesters behind. They had found her and they were here to rescue her. She could ask for nothing more. Once unchained and brought outside Gabriel touched his fingers to Linda Tran's forehead and healed her off all the cuts and bruises she had sustained while in Crowley's custody. Not that that was an easy thing to do, what with her refusing to let go of Kevin for a second. But soon she was, physically at least, as good as new.
They found along with Linda two more people who were bewildered and shocked by their treatment. But happy to be alive and released, Castiel suggested and it was agreed, that he take the saviours, minus Kevin's mom of course, to one of the angels who worked in a hospital who could help them get through there ordeal, both mentally and physically. And so with a flutter of wings he and the two people were gone.
Once Castiel had left with the others Dean herded the Tran's into the back seat of the impala, Gabriel flying in to join them as Sam and Dean got into the front. Once everyone was in Dean started to engine, it was time to get their family home.
