"Morning everybody." Tony said as he walked into the bureau three days after Emily's funeral. He had a black shirt on with gray pinstripes and some matching pants. The sleeves were rolled up as he sat down at the table in the conference room with the team and added extra mocha syrup to his coffee. "So what are we working on this fine Wednesday?"
Penelope said "Well since you asked super-agent we have three teenage runaways all in the same town in Ohio. Only catch is one of the girls who had left home just popped up beaten and with clothes on that belonged to a much different shaped woman." She clicked the screen and showed a picture. "This was Allie Nichols before in her school yearbook picture and this was what she came home in." The girl was wearing a much larger floral printed old fashioned dress that hung on her and her hair had been cut into a bob. But it hadn't hidden her purple and pink highlights in her black hair.
Tony said "That dress looks like something out of the fifties or so. Housewife fashion of the time. May have been handmade."
Morgan nodded. "Someone is on his game."
He replied "Need to be keeps me from thinking about other things, plus I have a dog down the hall who needs to work."
Hotch nodded. "All right then wheels up in 30 and Jet may get to ride with us."
"Good then I don't have to crate her for this one, on the regular planes I do."
Reid said "You have glasses on Tony, are your eyes all right?"
He replied "My contacts needed cleaned so I have these. Have been told they make me look smarter." He smiled.
Tony got up and headed to Penelope's lair where Jet was and got his go bag. "Come on Jet working time. "
The dog snapped to attention. Tony moved over to her and put her harness and leash on her.
JJ touched his arm. "You could have had more time you know."
"And what would that do, she's not coming back. Needed to not stare at the walls of my house. "
She looked at him. "I'm sorry Tony."
"Feel sorry for Ian Doyle if I ever find him. He's responsible for all of this."
He saw Penelope coming down the hall. "Lucky penny will you keep an eye on Sergio for me? Here's my spare key. He's pretty low maintenance. Likes the foot of my bed recently and once in a while some canned tuna for his meal besides his kitty chow."
She smiled. "Absolutely super-agent. I'll make sure your kitty is well taken care of while you're away." "And you might want to get acquainted with a razor again."
"I slept late and didn't get a chance to shave. I'll handle it."
She touched his arm. "Are you good Tony?" "I mean to be back here and working."
"Have to be Pen. It's what is keeping me together right now. I can't think about the other stuff because well." He stopped talking.
She nodded. "Just be safe angelfish. People care about you."
"I know they do, I need to figure this out in my own way and time."
