Backstory:

Alaska Snow was born to popular moonshiner, Atticus Snow and his wife. Alaska grew up for the first 10 years of her life with her family, assisting them in their illegal business. One upset customer sold the Snow family out to authorities, forcing the family to travel overseas on their tugboat. The boat was caught in a storm, causing panic. Ali tries to save her father and uncles who were trapped in the engine room but was forced to watch them drown. Ali's mother put her and her siblings on to an escape pod and cast them off the boat. The 4 are rescued but Ali's baby brother dies of hypothermia. The kids are taken to New York to an orphanage where Ali's sisters are adopted. Ali spends her teen years at the orphanage unwanted. Then, Rupert Myles, a rich owner of a tech industry adopts her and schools her. Ali meets Jenni Graves and Marley Dash a year later. Forming a friendship with the young snow leopard, Jenni makes a deal with Ali; Ali would be informant on Jenni's victims, and Jen wouldn't kill Myles (who was a secretly a mob boss).
