The Omni-droid stepped forward, but a blast of ice turned the ground underneath its foot causing it to slip and fall. Anna quickly ran up and grabbed the leg. "Elsa, now!" She shouted. A flick of the wrist from Elsa and the robot's other arms were covered in ice. Anna pulled on the arm she already had as the ice kept the robot in place. She kept pulling and eventually yanked it right off. "HAH!"
It quickly broke loose on of its other arms and grabbed her before flicking her aside. "Anna!" Elsa shouted before growing an angered look on her face. She raised her hands creating a giant ice spike above them. It dropped down smashing onto the robot. Unfortunately it didn't managed to pierce the armor. "It's too tough, we can't break it open!" Elsa shouted.
"I can!" Kristoff shouted. "I've absorbed the metal that it's made off. I should be able to pierce through it. Once I do, someone needs to get inside and tear that thing apart. But I need some cover to be able to get through."
The Omni-droid began getting up, but Anna jumped out and landed on it, smashing down with both her fist. It fell back down and Anna began punching at it. "I think she's enough of a distraction. Look for an opening and try and get inside. I can freeze it from the inside out." Elsa said sending another blast of ice at it. Kristoff nodded and began charging.
Anna smashed her fist into the Omni-droid again causing the armor to dent even further. This was driving her crazy. She could dent this armor up, but she couldn't penetrate it. The Omni-droid reached up and tried to grab her, but suddenly a laser blasted its hand away. Anna looked over and saw Antonio, who was still holding the laser they'd knocked off the Omni-droid before. "We'll give you cover, just keep breaking through." He said.
The Omni-droid plated one of its claw on the ground tried to get back up, but Ted shot a blast of wind knocking its leg from under it. It fell back down as Kirstoff made his way towards it. "Margo, give me a lift!" He shouted.
Margo nodded and then swung her hands, using her telekinesis to throw him up on top of the Omni-droid. He landed besides Anna who looked surprised to see him. "How did you-? What is your skin-?"
"No time." He said before lifting his hand and smashing it through the Omni-droid's armor. "I got you your opening, not rip this thing apart before it closes!"
Anna quickly reached down and placed both her hands in the hole before stretching it out. It tried to repair itself, but between the two of them it couldn't close fast enough. The Omni-droid reached up to stop them, but Antonio, Margo, and Ted kept firing and knocking them away. "Elsa, now!" Anna shouted.
Elsa ran forward creating a staircase of ice. She made his way up the Omni-droid and then jumped inside of the hole. Few seconds later the Omni-droid thrashing began to slow down. The metal on it began to turn blue, and it's circuits started to spark slightly. "Nice." Kirstoff said.
He and Anna both turned around and jumped off the Omni-droid. They turned back towards it and saw that it was now completely frozen. A large hole on the side of it suddenly shattered, and Elsa walked out looking tired. Anna and Kirstoff made their way over to her. "You okay?"
She nodded. "Yeah. Just never froze that much that fast before. There looks like there was some kind of power core inside of it. We should remove it just to be safe." She said.
"I got it." Margo said pulling her hand back. The core of the Omni-droid was ripped out and landed on the ground behind them.
Anna wiped her forehead. "Whew. That was tough. Now let's get out of here before…" Kristoff turned her around and she saw the other Omni-droid. "Oh, right."
"Let's go help the others."
Dash suddenly showed up in front of them. "Guys, to defeat the Omni-droid you need to… or, you're done already. Nice." He said impressed. "How did you-?"
"Elsa got inside and froze the core." Anna said proudly. "As long as Kristoff and I can break through, she can take them down easy. Let's go get the other one." She said eagerly.
Dash cut her off and shook his head. "Be careful. The AI that runs the robots can learn. The second one isn't going to fall for the same tactic as the first." Dash explained.
"Maybe not, but we have number on our side. We'll find a way." Elsa said moving forward.
Violet ducked as the dragon was flung into the wall behind her. It landed on the ground and began pushing itself up, but the Omni-droid reached down and grabbed it. It grabbed both it's wings and began stretching it apart. The dragon roared out in pain. "No!" Violet shouted throwing a force field.
It broke again the Omni-droid armor. Violet's face paled. It had been slowly and steadily adapting to each of their powers. It heated up its armor again Wilbur's freeze gun, it somehow managed to absorb Rapunzel's blast and send them back, and was even managing to resist Vanellope's electrical powers.
"Let him go!" Swizzle shouted angrily. The Omni-droid's arm began to twist up and the dragon managed to get free. Before Swizzle to finish however, the Omni-droid turned it's head and fired a blast from its eyes. Swizzle gasped and raised his hands, but Eep tackled him out of the way. He looked up at her surprised. "Thanks."
"No problem." Eep said. She got up and began running towards the Omni-droid. It stabbed at her, but she jumped up and managed to grab onto its leg. She began climbing up towards the body and then jumped on it. "Give me an opening!"
Swizzle raised his hands and the Omni-droid's armor began to slowly peel off. Before he could finish however the arm, the very same Swizzle had twisted up early, snakes up behind him. It had somehow managed to repair itself and quickly wrapped around him. "Hey!"
The arm began squeezing around him, crushing him like a boa constrictor. Swizzle yelled out in pain. He felt the air being squeezed out of his lungs. Suddenly he vanished and reappeared behind Gloyd. "You okay man?" Gloyd asked. Swizzle stood for a few more seconds before falling back unconscious. "Oh man, we just lost one of our heavy hitters."
Eep suddenly went flying over their heads and crashed into the wall behind them. She landed on the ground, tried to push herself back up to her feet, but then passed out. "Two… two heavy hitters." Gloyd said looking annoyed. The Omni-droid fired its laser at him.
Violet put a force field around him, but it barely held up. Before it could crack, Rapunzel flew up and punched the Omni-droid in its side. It stumbled back before turning towards her. "Pick on someone your own size!" She said as her hands glowed with solar energy.
The Omni-droid fired at her, but Rapunzel held her hands out and stopped the blast. She seemed to be absorbing it somehow. She gritted her teeth and then fired back. The blast knocked the Omni-droid back a few more feet. "I don't believe it…" Violet said amazed.
"She's not in the record books, but I'm glad she's on our side." Wilbur said talking out some sort of grenade. He tossed it at the Omni-droid's feet, and it exploded into some sort of foam. The foam expanded and hardened around its foot.
Rapunzel punched it again, and with its leg pinned it fell over. Rapunzel flew downwards and began punching it again. She wasn't physically as strong as Anna, but she could hold her own power wise. "I think she's gonna do it!" Violet said.
The Omni-droid reached up and grabbed her before slamming her into the ground. "Jinxed it!" Wilbur said flying forward. The Omni-droid turned and fired a beam at him. Wilbur barely avoided the blast which grazed his jet boots. He began descending towards the ground, but managed to fire his gun towards the Omni-droid.
The shot hit its arm with a laser beam and knocked it back, but it quickly rebounded. Wilbur hit the ground and rolled forward, firing another beam. This time when it hit, the Omni-droid didn't even budge. "This is driving me crazy!" He snapped.
"Stop just throwing everything at it! Its AI adapts and counters everything you throw at it. You're only making it stronger." Violet warned.
"Could have mentioned that earlier." Wilbur said turning to her with a frown.
She was about to snap back at him, but the Omni-Droid once again attacked. It leapt into the air and was about to crashed down onto Wilbur. Violet panicked. She couldn't make a force field strong enough to withstand that much force. "Wilbur! Move!" She shouted.
He turned to run, but it was clear he wasn't going to make it. He suddenly felt a hand on his back and turned to see Rapunzel. She pushed him as hard as she could, sending him flying out of the way just before the Omni-droid crashed down on top of her. Wilbur landed in front of Violet and quickly shook his head. "Rapunzel!" He yelled looking towards the Omni-droid.
The robot stood back up and they could see Rapunzel in the middle of the large crater it had created in the ground. Her hair was slowly turning back to normal and the glow around her body was fading. "Oh crap…"
Dash suddenly appeared in front of it. "Hey! Leave them alone!" The Omni-droid fired at him, but he zipped out of the way. "Too slow!" It fired again, and he easily dodged. "Not quite!" It kept on firing at him, but was constantly missing. Eventually it stopped firing all together. "What's wrong? Giving up?"
It fired once more, and Dash ran out of the way. The Omni-droid shot one of its claws out and grabbed Dash mid run. Dash looked shocked. How had it managed to catch him? Had it calculated his speed? It threw him up into the air and then fired. Now free falling, Dash was unable to avoid the beam. "Oh crap!" He shouted as it came towards him.
An arm stretched out and suddenly grabbed him from the air. It pulled him too safety, and they all looked over to see Helen standing nearby. "Are you okay sweetie?" She asked.
"Mom? What are you… or right, tracker." He said looking towards the 'i' on his chest.
The robot turned towards them, but suddenly found two of its legs pulled from under its body. Bob and Grug were pulling on its claws. "You kids are in so much trouble!" Bob shouted.
Grug looked like he was struggling. "Been too many years since I did this! I'm so rusty!"
Wilbur and Violet both looked relieved. The adults were finally here. While Violet knew they were going to be in trouble after this, she had never been gladder to see her parents before in her life.
The robot began using its other legs to move, but a path of ice appeared beneath it. It slipped and fell forward. Cru stood nearby on top of a building with his freeze ray. "Finish it!" He shouted. Bob and Grug both jumped up on top of it. Together they ripped robot's armor wide open. Gru pulled out his shrink ray and fired.
It hit the power core of the Omni-droid, which shrunk down to the size of a shoe. The robot's eyes suddenly dimmed, and it began shutting down. Wilbur and Violet watched as it's flailing arms and legs dropped limply to the ground. "Wow… really shows you the differently between us and them huh?" Wilbur said.
Violet raised an eyebrow towards him. She suddenly felt a pair of arms around her. Bob was hugging her tightly. "Oh thank goodness you're okay! We were so worried about you sweetie." Bob said lifting her into the air. His face suddenly grew furious. "You are in so much trouble!"
Wilbur was about to speak in her defense, but then spotted Franny approaching him. She had an annoyed look on her face. "I would ball you out right now, but there really isn't anything I could say that I haven't said to you before, is there?" She said shaking her head.
"You know we needed to do this." Wilbur stated bluntly. She sighed and shook her head. She hated when her son was right. She wouldn't say it in front of the other adults, but at some point they would have had to gather these kids together, with or without their parents' consent. That didn't mean she had to like the way her son went about it though.
Eep who was just getting up felt someone grab her. She cocked her fist back, but then looked shocked when she saw it was her dad. "Oh… hi dad." She said smiling sheepishly.
"I'm caught between relief and anger right now." Grug said. He then gave her a hug. "But for now, I'm so glad that you're okay." Eep looked surprised, but then hugged him back. As weird as it was, she enjoyed her father's rare sign of affection.
Gru looked around for Margo. "Where is she? She's supposed to be here yes?" He asked looking towards Violet. "Where is my daughter?"
"Dad!" He looked over and saw Margo and the others coming towards them. He quickly ran over to her, grabbing her up in his arms. She quickly hugged him back. "You came!"
"Oh course I came. I told you I was never letting you go didn't I?" He said smiling at her. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?"
Margo pushed her glasses up. "They didn't exactly hurt me but… there's a lot of stuff we have to go over." She said looking nervously.
"Your daughter has ESP now." They both looked over and saw Antonio standing off to the side. He smirked when he saw the look on Gru's face. "Hola senor baldy."
Gru pulled out his freeze ray and aimed it at the boy, but Margo grabbed his arm. "Dad, wait, stop! Calm down! He doesn't have anything to do with this! He was captured along with the rest of us!" She said pulling his arms down.
Gru glared at the boy but reluctantly lowered his weapon. Antonio turned to leave. "Well, as touching as this little family reunion is, I have no further reason to be here. Thanks for the help amigos." Before he walked off, Bob stepped in front of him.
"Not so fast young man. We need to bring you back to base and debrief you." He turned towards the other children. "ALL of you."
The ride back to the NSA had been awkward to say the least. Bob and Helen had nagged Dash and Violet for trying to recruit the kids without permission. They had however also expressed how proud they were for them taking quick and decisive action when it came to rescuing the others. It was pretty weird getting scolded and praised at the same time.
Grug and Eep had sat in silence for the most part, just glancing at one another. It was clear Grug was upset of his daughter's actions, but he seemed to keeping a lid on his anger. He was afraid that if he spoke now he'd say something he'd regret, and didn't want to start an argument in front of all of these people.
Gru just kept on asking Margo if she was okay, to witch Margo kept assuring him he was fine. It was quite a shock to him when she had explained her powers to him. Franny and Wilbur didn't really speak much at all. Franny would give him an annoyed look every now and then, and he'd sigh and looked annoyed himself.
Vanellope and her friends seemed uncomfortable, like they hadn't wanted to be there. After their experience no one could blame them for being a little mistrusting. Kristoff had gone right to sleep, along with Ted who was understandably tired. Anna looked excited just to be sitting next to her sister, while Elsa looked nervous for whatever reason.
Rapunzel sat next to them looking weirded out. All of this was so new to her, and she didn't exactly know how to react. Antonio didn't bother trying to hide his frustration. He didn't want any part in any of this. The only thing that seemed to get any positive reactions from him was the bear owl who kept nuzzling him.
Speaking of the animals, most of them had been transported back in a separate vehicle. Eep had rode along with them since they seemed calmer around her. Penny did as well, because she wanted to stay around Bolt. The only animal unaccounted for was the dragon, who flew off to who knows where.
Once they had gotten to the base, they had been debriefed by some of the agents, and then told to wait in the conference room while the adults talked over everything. They had told Violet, Dash, and Wilbur to wait along with the other kids, claiming they'd be more comfortable around them.
Violet didn't seem to mind at all. She and Dash had been included in most meetings, so she knew this wasn't just some 'adult' thing. If her being here made the other comfortable, then she was fine staying. Dash seemed a little annoyed at being left out, but for the most part agreed with his sister. Wilbur didn't seem to care one way or the other.
"I can't believe we just have to sit here and wait for the adults to finish." Vanellope said crossing her arms. "Why do we have to stick around for those old geezers?"
Violet sighed. "Just be patience. You're all going to be able to go home soon enough, I promise." She assured. "We just have to sort all this out first."
That didn't seem to satisfy the girl. "And what if we don't have any homes to go back too…" She mumbled under her breath. It wasn't caught by anyone else in the room however, except Margo who gave the girl a sympathetic stare.
"I'm getting tired of waiting. Why did they even bother bringing me here?" Antonio asked looking irritated. "We all know they're just going to lock me up anyway."
Margo didn't know whether to say anything or not. She definitely wasn't fond of Antonio that was for sure. After he'd broken her heart, and what his father had done, she had a distinct distaste for him. But she didn't exactly hate him either. And he had helped her during their escape. Surely they were going to take that into account, weren't they?
"They don't just lock up people because their fathers were villains." Wilbur said bluntly. The other looked at him surprised. Not because he had spoken to Antonio, but because he mentioned that his father was a villain. "And you helped us out back there. If they try and say anything, I've got your back."
Antonio simply stared at him. He wasn't sure whether to be angry that he'd mentioned his father to everyone, or glad there was anybody actually willing to defend him. "Gracias."
"I hope my dad just lets me stick around. Today was a blast, and I got to do something useful with my powers for once. I don't want to stop." Eep said tightening her fist.
Anna looked pretty eager. "So, you're saying that if we stick around that we get to be heroes right? You can sign me up if-"
"No, you can't." Elsa said cutting her sister off. "We're not getting any more involved in this than we already are. We're going to go home and pretend like none of this ever happened."
Anna frowned. "Oh what? Back to you ignoring me and locking yourself up like a shut in? No thank you. We have powers now Elsa. We can fight crime, help people. Doesn't that appeal at all to you?" She asked.
"We don't know the full extent of these powers. We have no idea how to use them. I could… we could end up hurting people. That's not a risk I'm willing to take." She said rubbing her hand. Her sister had no idea that she'd had powers BEFORE being abducted. And she wasn't about to tell her either. Anna sighed and crossed her arms childishly.
As if on cue, the door opened and Rick made his way into the room. "Can we go now?" Vanellope asked impatiently. "I'm getting tired of being cramped in here."
Rick simply sat down at the head of the table. "Alright kids, I'll get right to the point. You all know that a couple years back that the supers were allowed to continue their heroic activities. Despite this there really aren't all that many heroes about. What's worse is that we know of an upcoming threat that could affect the fate of the world."
The kids all looked surprised. "Wha-? Are you serious?" Anna asked looking worried. "I just got out of that place and now the world is going to be destroyed? What kind of bum deal is that?!"
"Relax Ms. Arendelle. The threat isn't imitate. We have some time to prepare before it comes. It's out hope that by the time is does arrive, that we'll have a fighting force powerful enough to deal with it. And that's where you all come in."
Gloyd scoffed. "You want to recruit us." He stated.
Rick nodded. "You'll be placed into a training program, where you'll all learn how to master your powers and use them for the greater good. Afterwards you'll be allowed to enter the field as heroes, gaining on the job experience. By the time the threat comes, we should have enough info and enough manpower to deal with it accordingly."
Eep looked surprised. "Wait a second, my dad was okay with this? He's actually going to let me become a super? You're kidding right?" She said amazed. Margo also seemed surprised. While her dad clearly wasn't as protective as Grug, she would have thought he'd be hesitant to let her go out fighting crime.
"We told him that you should at least start off in the training program so you can learn to master your powers and defend yourself. Same with Gru. By the time you're ready, I doubt they'll have any complaints about your doing hero work."
"What is this threat?" Ted asked.
"That's on a need to know basis." Rick deadpanned. "The choice is yours to make of course. If you just want to go home, we can perform a memory wipe and pretend that none of this ever happened. You can return to your normal lives and-"
Vanellope stood up. "Wipe our memories? Yeah right!" She said balling her fist up. "Sorry pal, but I'm not a fan of government organizations right now, and I'm definitely not a fan of having my memories wiped. You can take both your offers and shove em where the sun don't shine."
Rick sighed. "First of all, the memory wipe is optional. And second, it's not that simple. We can't just let you walk off-"
"It's not like you can stop us." Gloyd said bluntly. He, Swizzle, and Minty all got up and stood next to Vanellope. "I don't know about the rest of your guys, but we're not planning on going from guinea pigs to lap dogs. We're out."
"Hold on a second, you can't just leave-"
Elsa got up and walked towards them. "I'm going with you." She said shocking Anna and Rapunzel. "I don't want any part of this. Me around other people with this… curse. It's just tempting fate." She said standing beside them.
Anna stood up. "Elsa, what are you doing?!"
"I can't go home Anna, and I can't be around other people. I'm… I'm better off on my own." She said looking away from her. "And you're safer when I'm not around."
Antonio looked like he was tempted to go with them, but felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned and saw Wilbur shaking his head. Rick walked towards Vanellope. "Listen, I understand that you've been through a very traumatic experience, but there's a protocol. We have to-"
"We don't have to do anything." Vanellope said. "The rest of you can go along and play hero with these guys, but we're not interested. See ya."
Gloyd lifted his hand and in an instant, they were all gone. Rick grunted and ran his hand over his face. Perfect. He thought about calling security, but there was no way they were going to catch them. "You should have just told them the truth." Wilbur said bluntly. Violet elbowed him lightly.
Rapunzel looked curious. "The truth about what?"
Rick turned towards him. "That's not how things work around here."
Wilbur gritted his teeth. "If we did things your way they'd still be locked up in that base." He said irritated. "All of this top secret super spy nonsense isn't going to get us anywhere. We need to just tell them what's going on and let them decide."
"What is going on?" Penny asked.
Rick narrowed his eyes at Wilbur, but the boy didn't seem to care. "I'm from the future, and before any of you question how that's possible, I know stuff about pretty much all of you. Penny, you're trying to track down Dr. Calico, who's captured your father. Your dad is also a scientist who genetically altered Bolt's DNA."
Penny grew wide eyed, and Bolt barked and growled towards him. "Down boy." Wilbur said before turning to Anna. "Anna Arendelle, daughter of Adgar and Idun Arendelle. You're one of the heirs to the Arendelle fortune along with your sister Elsa, who you've been closed off from since you were young."
Anna's face was stunned, but then it changed to anger. "How did you know that?! Who are you?!" She snapped angrily.
"From the future, remember. Then there's Antonio. You father is a villain named El Macho, one of the most infamous bad guys out there."
Eep shook her head. "Wait, isn't he the guy who jumped into the volcano with sharks and dynamite strapped onto his back?"
Some of the others stared his way. "Screw this." He said getting up. He headed out of the room, but Rick didn't bother going after him. There was no way he could get off base without them knowing.
"And Margo, your dad is Gru, a villain infamous for stealing the moon."
Margo pushed her glasses up. "Well… he put it back." She offered weakly.
"That proof enough for you guys?" He asked looking around. They all shared skeptical looks. "Alright, you're obviously still iffy. I get it, hard pill to swallow. But the fact is-"
"Wilbur, you're about to reveal top secret information that could land you in prison. I suggest that you rethink very carefully about what you're going to say." Rick said glaring at him.
Wilbur looked at him for a few seconds and then chuckled. "That's funny." He said before turning back to the others. "There's an alien invasion coming. In my time they've already taken over the earth, and I've come back here to prepare you all to fight them off."
"You… this is a joke right?" Margo asked. Wilbur pointed to his head, signaling for her to read his mind. She looked hesitant, but gave it a try. It only took a few seconds to skim through his memories of the last few days. "He's… he's not kidding." She said.
Anna stood up. "Wait, seriously? No way! He can't be from the future!"
"I just saw the past couple days of his memories. Them getting Eep and Ted, going to my parents' house, arriving here, and…" She looked down at her feet nervously. She stopped right when she saw memory of his friend that more than likely didn't end well.
Wilbur grew a serious look. "Whether you believe me or not is up to you. But the earth is in danger, they can testify to that." He said nodding toward Violet and Dash. "I'm not going to pull some half lie half-truth here. The fact of the matter is that the fate of the earth could rest in the hands of the people in this room. Are you in or out?"
Rick grunted. "This isn't how-"
"I'm in." Margo said cutting him off. "I know you're not lying, and if the fate of the world is really at stake, then I want to help in any way that I can. So you can count me in."
The others looked at her surprised. Eep laughed. "Well, you already know I wouldn't miss this. I had way too much of a blast today. Going home and pretending like this never happened just isn't an option. So I'm in too."
Ted rubbed the back of his head. "Y-you guys rescued me. So I guess I owe you. And… you know, being taken over by aliens would kind of suck. So I guess I'm on board."
Penny held Bolt in her lap and rubbed his head. "We'll join too." She said. Working for this place would probably keep most of their enemies off their tails. Not to mention with all the resources this place had, it'd be much easier to find Dr. Calico.
Kristoff sat back in his chair. "Well, I follow her." He said nodding towards Anna. "If she's on board, I'm on board."
Anna, who had been sitting in stunned silence after her sister had left, looked towards him surprised. "Oh… well." She looked around the room worriedly. "If… If you guys help me fine my sister while we're here, then I'll help I guess." She said.
Everyone then turned towards Rapunzel, who gulped under their gaze. "I don't know about this crime fighting thing, but I do want to know how to control my powers at least. So you can count me in as far as training goes." She said.
Wilbur looked towards Rick. "See? My way is much more efficient. We've already got a team who is ready and willing to help." He said. "If we're done things your way we'd still be-"
"This will NOT be tolerated again. The next time you do something rogue like this, there WILL be consequences." Rick said standing over him angrily. He didn't have to deal with anyone this reckless since Bob's younger days.
Wilbur's smile faltered. "Alright, alright. If we're going to be working together we need to be on the same page. So I'll slow down a little from now on. But you have to admit, this worked out for the better." He said. Rick simply grunted in response.
The agent walked to the door. "Your parents will be in shortly. Training begins tomorrow." He said before walking out.
Once he left Dash let out a sigh. "I can finally take this thing off now." He said pulling off his mask. The others didn't really seemed surprised, except Margo who thought he looked vaguely familiar. "Welcome to the team guys! I am so pumped! I've never met any supers my age before! So what do you guys want to call the team? I personally vote for the 'Dash' squad-"
"Way to get ahead of yourself." Violet said taking her own mask off. Margo grew wide eyed when she saw the girl. "Hey Margo." She said waving.
"Violet Parr? Wow, I never would have guessed." Margo said amazed.
"You two know each other?" Ted asked.
Wilbur sat back down. "Trust me, we're all going to know each other in time. As for team names, I think I'd want to go with Team Future!" He looked around at everyone who had their eyebrows raised at him. "Well, I thought it was good… how team Wilbur?" Everyone began booing him.
Antonio made his way down the hall gritting his teeth. It wasn't that Wilbur had brought up his father that bother him. It was the way everyone stared at him. Like once they heard those words they didn't see Antonio Perez anymore, just 'El Macho's son'.
Margo's father was a villain too. Granted Gru was retired and working for the AVL now, but no one had even looked at her like they'd been shocked or afraid. What was so different about her and him? Why did everyone look at him like they expected him to be just as evil as his father was? "GRAAHH!" He turned and punched the wall beside him.
If he had his way he'd have wiped those look off of every single one of their faces. He felt a hand on his shoulder and quickly turned around to see Franny. "Are you okay young man?"
"I'm fine." He said trying to walk past her.
"You're Antonio Perez right? Listen, I understand that you've gone through a very traumatic experience, and you probably-"
"Don't want to talk right now, gracias."
She held her arm out cutting him off. "I get it okay. Your father is a villain and everyone treats you like your next in line for the evil throne." She stated bluntly.
Antonio looked at her surprised. He scowled. "You don't understand anything."
"I've dealt with all types of people in the future. People who are carrying all types of baggage with them. And I can tell with one look, you're carrying some heavy stuff." She said.
"Stop talking like you know me." He said angrily.
Franny sighed and shook her head. "If you want them to stop looking at you like they do, then prove them wrong." She said. "Join the team. Prove that you're not your father. That way they won't have a choice but to stop."
Antonio narrows his eyes at her. "And how do you know I'm not like my father?"
"Because I know you." She said simply. Antonio looked at her confused. She began walking down the hall. "A future version of you anyway. Think about Cuchilla."
He watched her as she left. It wasn't hard to tell the resemblance between her and Wilbur. So obviously she was from the future too. So she knew him? And what was with her calling him Cuchilla? "Cool sounding name…"
A/N: Okay then! Another chapter down! I'm glad this story is starting to get some more reviews. This fandom's popularity has died down quite a bit, so seeing people support it is always a welcomed sight.
Now, I thought very hard about keeping Vanellope and the others, but in the end I decided not to. I had always planned on using them differently, and deviating from that would just set y future stories back a bit. Same for Elsa, she's going to be a main character in one of the future stories, so I had to have her go off on her own.
I was going to have Anna and Kristoff leave too, going to look for Elsa and all that, but in the end I thought there was no harm in keeping them. Though they won't really play any big roles in the story. Rapunzel probably won't stay on the team, since I also have plans for her in future stories down the road. But she may show up in future chapters.
So the full roster of the team is Violet, Dash, Wilbur, Eep, Ted, Margo, Antonio, Anna, Kristoff, and Penny. This isn't counting the animals and future members who will join along. Don't worry, I'm not planning on juggling all these characters at one. The main goal is to try an create a 'Young Justice' type feel tot he story, where their split up into different squads for each mission. Of course the main focus will be Wilbur and the Incredible kids.
