The sun shone through her white curtains, her jade eyes opened with difficulty, sleep was a beautiful thing, she loved to sleep, yet she slept at 3 am everyday. It wasn't good for her, it was obvious, going to bed at 3 in the morning and waking up at 7 was something her doctor had told her to change. Sakura reached for her phone beside her, clicking on the home button, the time displayed on the locked screen, 6:56, in four minutes her alarm would go off. Sakura contemplated her options, could she really have four minutes of sleep more? She let out a groan and got up, slipping her feet into her teal colored slippers, the wood creaking beneath her.

It was always the same thing everyday. She woke up, took a shower and changed, said goodbye to her mother, eat breakfast and leave for school, it was a monotone life. Ignoring the fact that she wrote on her blog every night, where thousands of people followed her day, either the reasoning of the day, her rants or just something slightly different she did that day. Turning her alarm off, she slipped into the bathroom and locked the door behind her. 'I would slice someone's throat open just to sleep for seven hours', the pinkette mused to herself, turning the hot water on, stepping under the soothing stream.

She stared at her mother through her pink locks, her mother's dirty blonde hair tied up into a high bun, the woman wore a pair of pearl earrings, a gray suit and, just like her daughter, hid her cerulean hues behind a pair of thick rimmed glasses, while her daughter wore her long hair into a loose braid, a cat whiskers sweat shirt, her ripped old jeans and a pair of white convere. Classy. Sakura being blind as a bat was no accident, it was in her blood, even if she had gotten her father's looks, she truly wished she had inherited his 20/20 vision.

"Hey mom?", blue orbs flickered above the paper and a thin blonde eyebrow lifted, Sakura stabbed at her oatmeal, 'what were two empty bottles of wine doing next to the tub?', was the question she was tempted to ask the 38 year old woman in front of her, she knew her mother was an alcoholic, or rather, was on the road to becoming one, "Could I borrow ten bucks? I need to buy some canvas and a couple of new brushes", she muttered,, nodding with a light smile when Mizuki placed a ten dollar bill in front of her, licking her dark red lips before she got up.

"I'm gonna head off, honey. I'll be back late tonight, so—", Sakura interrupted her, "Have dinner without me and don't wait up, got it", she muttered softly, her jade eyes not leaving her plate. Mizuki nodded, "Thanks, sweetheart", and with a peck on the forehead, she heard the front door open, leaving the 16 year old alone and with a bowl of, now cold, oatmeal.

Monotonous, that was the perfect word for her, her life was a routine, she didn't hate it, she had grown fond of this, the same thing every day, get up, shower, eat, go to school, write into the blog, go to sleep, and repeat.

Her shoes clicked against the snow white tile, the normal smell of hormones and B.O roamed the halls, this was her least favorite part of the day, when the halls got too crowded. Heading to the mint colored lockers, she quickly clicked her combination into hers, frowning when she couldn't open it, "What the-", her brow furrowing. She placed her hands on the little handle, propping her foot up to the wall and pushing back. Sakura knew she had fucked up, and her stomach dropped when she heard the all too familiar screech of one very loud redhead. Karin Uzumaki. Jesus fucking Christ, this was the best day of her life!

"YOU FUCKING DUMBA-Haruno!", Sakura just stared up at the girl, she didn't bother getting up, she knew if she did, she would be pushed back down, it was normal, and it usually didn't bother her at all, that is, until she felt the cold of the iced coffee drip down her cat whiskers sweatshirt, there was a loud gasp. Followed by a couple of very fake snickers from a couple of bimbos with Karin, great, everyone was staring, "I'm still waiting for my fucking apology, pink haired bitch!", the loud mouthed ginger called out, drawing even more attention to the shuddering girl on the ground. "I-I'm sorry, o-ok?" the coldness of the beverage was making her shake ever so slightly, she felt her eyes sting, 'No, don't cry… Not infront of he—', she heard her name being called out, and was soon pulled up to her feet by a pair of strong arms, she was soon covered in a warm jacket. She knew the smell, the smell of clay, with the weirdly earthy smell of his sweat. Deidara Iwa.

"What the fuck, Karin?!", he yelled out, pushing the shaking pinkette behind him, sky blue eyes blazing with fury, he couldn't take it when Sakura was being thrown to the ground, and he hated how she put up with it even more so then the act itself. His hair was ruffled, out of it's normal ponytail and both of his amazing blue eyes were in plain sight, "The bitch pushed me and made me spill my drink!", Karin bit out, making Deidara twitch, he hated it when people lied to him. "Oh? So.. Sakura, being the careless dork she is, made you spill your drink directly above her head, un?", he paused, pressing his lips into a tight line, Sasori had began to wave the surrounding crowd off, they were annoying and nosy, the two things he hated the most. "Deidara—", Sakura began to call out to him, but he, as always ignored her, "Calm down Sakura I got it, un", he muttered, glaring fiercely at Karin, who was on the bridge of a bitch fit, "So, I need you to apologize to Sakura an—" , "JESUS FUCKING CHRIST DEIDARA!", Sakura suddenly barked out, shrugging his jacket off her, "I can take care of myself alright?!", she glared at the blonde and at the redhead, before she slightly bowed to Sasori, storming off. Today was her day off apparently.

She stomped her white converse on the hot concrete floor, walking towards her parked car, an old and worn down Impala, her mother's 16th birthday present. She swung the door open before she climbed into the driver's seat, the coffee was getting stickier by the second, but she didn't move, she just stared forward, her hands on the wheel. Sakura's face dropped the horn making it scare off a couple who were nearly fucking by the bushes. A loud groan slipped from her lips, she just yelled at Deidara, the boy whom she was completely and head over heels for, 'Kami just end my suffering, I don't need to live anyways', she thought as her jade eyes closed, and then, a knock, her window.

She really didn't want to turn around and see that goofy smile of his, or those annoying onyx pools staring at her with a hint of amusement, and then she heard him bang on the window, "NE SAKURA-CHAN! OPEN UP!", she let out a loud sigh, turning her head to the side she blinked the tears away when she saw her two best friends carrying a present each.

"Happy birthday, Sakura-chan!"

That's right, she had forgotten… She turned seventeen that day, March 28th, and she had just screamed at her crush, she couldn't open her locker, and was drenched in iced coffee.

That was a first.
