Settling in New Froggy Farm Home

"That was amazing! You were amazing!" Sprig complimented with excitement.

Crash held up his hand for Sprig to give him a high-five, and he does with his tongue which Crash doesn't mind because it's a unique thing for frogs like him.

"Well, now that that's settled, what the heck are we gonna do with these things? Maybe we oughta run them out of town just to be safe. Let them be someone else's problem." Toadstool suggested with a grin.

"Oh come on, he just waved your life." Anne complained.

The Wartwood villagers started to agree with the mayor and mob at the two humans as Crash get ready to fight again.

"Stop right there!" Sprig stepped in front of the angry mob.

"These two are not monsters. They're just lost and in love and need our help. We should take care of them." Sprig suggested strongly. This made Crash and Anne happy that Sprig really is their friend now.

"Are you crazy?" Mayor Toadstool asked shock.

"Yeah. What if it goes nutty tomorrow and starts eating people?" Wally asked, can't forget what they tried to do to him last night. Or what he thought what he was gonna do.

"Not gonna happen, buddy." Anne assured and Crash does a gap expression with his finger close to his open mouth.

"Don't worry yourselves silly. I'll keep an eye on 'em, both of 'em." Hop Pop volunteered to help Sprig take care of the two.

Mayor Toadstool really wanted to kick those two unknown creatures out of Wartwood because he didn't want the people to freak out, and if they freak out then he wouldn't have any voters for his election to be mayor of this small town anymore, but he can also see the Plantar family really do intent on caring for those two.

"Have it your way, Hopediah Plantar, but I don't like it. All right boys pack it in." Mayor Toadstool ordered and everyone started leaving.

"You know, this taste real great with butter." One frog said as they drag the unconscious red mantis.

"Looks like I'm back to causing trouble for the family again, huh?" Sprig asked.

"Trouble? Sprig, standing up to that angry mob to help this creature out was... Some of the bravest and most responsible stuff I've ever seen!" Hop Pop said with a small proud smile.

"That was pretty cool, Sprig. It was also really dumb!" Hop Pop agreed.

"You think I'm responsible?" Sprig asked smiling.

"Well, yeah, I mean, just this one time..." Hop Pop said, thinking he may have given Sprig a big head over this.

"Yes! Woo hoo!" Sprig performed his victory dance and Crash joins on for support while Anne checks her phone.

"Well, don't get carried away..." Hop Pop said.

"Big win!" Sprig smiled and Crash shouts joyfully.

"Welp, this has been great, but just give us a map. We've gotta find my way out of this kooky place." Anne said.

"Oh, a map won't be enough. This here valley is surrounded by mountains that are impenetrable this time of year." Hop Pop showed them the map of Wartwood and the whole valley with the mountains.

"It should clear up in a couple of months." Sprig stated.

"But until then, you try to cross those mountains—"

"You will die." Polly finished that sentence.

"Are you telling me we're stuck in this crazy place for two months? Where are we gonna stay?" Anne asked shock while Crash tries to think of something.

(Plantar Farm, Basement)

Anne and Crash were given the basement as their new living place until the mountains clear up for them and living with the Plantar family too.

"All righty. Kitchen's upstairs. Breakfast at sunrise, sharp." Hop Pop informed as he climbed up the stairs.

Crash smile talking his gibberish tone with a thumbs up.

"He said "thank you for taking us in" and he's glad your family are nice frog people." Anne translated what her boyfriend just said.

"Okay, don't think I'll ever get use to that." Hop Pop said as he leaves the basement.

"Hey! Gettin' comfy?" Sprig asked before coming in with some stuff toys.

"Brought some toys to keep you company. I'm too old for these. O-oh, except for this one. Oh, and this one. Oops, this one too. Sorry." Sprig wanted to give at least one of his stuff toys to them, but the two humans can see they really mean so much to him.

Crash picked up one and handed it to Sprig and gave him a hand gesture that it's okay.

"I'm glad you're livin' with us, monsters." Sprig smiled.

"Yeah, us too, weird little frog boy." Anne chuckled.

"Okay. Good night. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite. Seriously, they can drain a body in seconds." Sprig warned as he leaves the basement.

Crash became worried about those bedbugs and quickly hold Anne into his arms as he watches for any bugs that dares to hurt her.

"Glad to know you're with me. Don't know what would happen to me if you weren't." Anne smiled.

Crash gibberish pointing at the tiki necklace she is wearing with a promising tone.

"I know, this tiki necklace you made for me for my birthday is sweet and said you'll always be there to protect me. I remember." Anne smiled, blushing.

Crash gibberish talk again and pulled out the music box as he points at the frog designs on it.

"Sure, maybe they do know, but I don't want to tell them everything until we know they can be fully trusted. Until then, we're gonna be here for a while." Anne sighed.

Crash leans his head onto hers for some comfort as they look at each other for a moment and then lean in for a kiss on the lips which makes Anne feel a lot better.

(The Next Morning)

Anne and Crash are sleeping peacefully on the big mattress that Hop Pop gave them to sleep on, and his hand on her big breasts, then the big hair girl screams waking up which spook Crash to wake up too.

"Oh man, Crash! You are not gonna believe the kind of dream I had; We were trapped in a world of frog pe—" Anne turned to see the Plantar family standing close to them and Hop Pop crook.

"Right." Anne realized, again, that everything is real, and Crash hold her hand for comfort.

"Hey, Anne. Did you and Crash sleep good?" Sprig asked but was push back by Hop Pop.

"Careful, boy! It could be hungry." Hop Pop worried.

"For your guts!" Polly added while holding up a roller.

Crash gibberish to the Plantars as he shook his head and rub his stomach then wave his hand in front of his nose like he's waving away the bad smell.

"What did he say?" Sprig asked.

"It better be good." Polly glared at Crash.

"He promised that we're not going to harm you guys, and he doesn't like eating things that are smelly like you don't bath often." Anne answered as Crash nodded.

"Fairy point." Hop Pop said after catching and eating a fly.

"See? Told you they're harmless." Sprig said.

"For now." Hop Pop walked up the stairs, but Polly jumps out of her bucket.

"Just give me an excuse to use old Doris here." Polly warned with the roller and hops up the stairs.

"I think the little one wants to kill us." Anne stated as Crash nodded.

"Yup. So, you two must be so excited to be trapped in another world. Very jealous. Oh!" Sprig said, and then fell backward on the bed.

Crash screams with excitement giving Sprig that he is thrilled about this adventure, like those anime shows he'd watch.

"Sure, it's exciting for you. But I miss my home and my stuff and especially... my friends." Anne pulled a picture of her and Crash with Marcy and Sasha.

"Without them, I just feel kind of half of me is gone, but I am glad to have this other half with me." Anne smiled at Crash, and they share a kiss for a second.

"Well, then, why don't I be your friend in the meantime?" Sprig offered himself to be their new friend.

"You?" Anne surprised as Crash is too.

"Me!" Sprig pointed at himself.

"You." Anne unassured of this, but Crash assures her that Sprig is gonna be a blast to have around.

"I hope that means yes because it'll be fun! What did you all do together?" Sprig asked, so he can help Anne feel less down.

"Everything. Marathon dumb TV shows, drink boba till we vomited, hung out at the beach." Anne listed a few things, then Crash does his own answer as he jumps around excited and throw a few punches at the air.

"Oh yeah, we also do some surfing which Crash is really good at and took Muay Thai lessons and doing a few pranks here and there." Anne explained what Crash just said.

"Sounds really fun!" Sprig commented.

Sprig started to think what they should do and obviously they can't do most of the things they just told him because those would probably be needed in their world, but then the beach thing gave him an idea.

"Oh, we've got a lake. Would going there with me make you feel less homesick?" Sprig asked.

Anne isn't sure about going to the beach right now as she doesn't exactly feel like swimming, but Crash gibberish her to accept the idea believing it's gonna be fun and they look at Sprig getting excited over it.

"Alright, you and his moxie convince me. Let's do it!" Anne accepted the lake idea. And she changed into her swimwear consisting of a sleeveless black shirt, with cyan linings across the sides. She wears lilac-colored shorts and dark aquamarine sandals, which contain yellow straps.

Crash is amazes of how great she looks in that swimsuit and gave her a loud whistling.

"Oh Crash, you crazy guy!" Anne chuckled with her cheeks blushing.

"Aren't you gonna change?" Sprig asked.

"He doesn't need to. Crash always wears his swimming shorts for years and does his laundry too." Anne explained which Sprig understands.

"Now off to the lake!" Anne announced.

The three kids were making their way to the door until Hop Pop steps in, stopping them from leaving.

"And where do you two think you're going?" Hop Pop asked with a firm look.

"We're going to lake!" Sprig answered as he stretched his short and let it smack on himself.

"Why? You want in? You wanna come?" Anne asked as Crash pointed his thumbs at himself and Anne for the motion to invite Hop Pop and Polly to come.

"Absolutely not!" Hop Pop snapped, but quickly calm himself down.

"Look, Anne. You and Crash here are new, unsettling, strange, bizarre, gangly, horrifying—"

"Thanks, we got it." Anne stopped him from talking like that to them any further.

"Point is, the frogs in this town can be pretty small-minded." Hop Pop looked out the window through the curtain, and one frog said hello to him. "And paranoid."

"We just need to give 'em time to get used to ya. I think it's best you stay put." Hop Pop declared and locked the door.

"But—" Anne tried to argue.

"No buts!" Hop Pop said, Crash tries to reason with the old frog by giving him his sad, innocent, puppy eyes hoping to make him change his mind with a little hug.

"No means no." Hop Pop pushed Crash off from him.

"Now I'm gonna go into my study to get a little reading done." Hop Pop walked over to his study room.

"Uh, Hop Pop." Sprig exclaimed.

"Don't do anything stupid!" Hop Pop ordered before he slams the door of his study room.

"Ugh! Adults are all the same. Curfews. Rules. Old." Anne complained. Crash gasp and look sad gibbering to Anne about his grandpa.

"No, of course, I don't hate your grandpa. He's more chill and… a bit fun, more than the other adults." Anne stated.

"Yeah, looks like we're stuck here. Ooh! I know what'll be fun. Let's try some of Hop Pop's pain peppers." Sprig brought in a barrel full of peppers which Crash became very interested in.

"So hot, they'll make you wish you were dead." Sprig said.

Sprig and Crash each took a pepper with the former touching it quick with his tongue and the latter took a tiny bite, and then both started screaming in serious pain with their taste buds burning like the fires of Hell have invaded their mouths as they run around like crazy.

"Someone just kill me, please!" Sprig begged before they fell unconscious almost dead-like.

"Your turn." Sprig got back up immediately and held another pepper for Anne, and Crash got back up exciting.

"No, thanks. I'd rather go to the lake." Anne grinned.

"Ahh- What? But Hop Pop said, uh—" Sprig reminded them of what Hop Pop just said, but Crash place a finger on his lips.

Crash smiled and does a little street magic to show that he has the key to the front door shocking the pink frog boy.

"You stole Hop Pop's key? But when?" Sprig asked.

"From when he was giving him the sad eyes. Now Sprig, are you ready to have the funniest and crazy time you ever want to experience?" Anne asked.

"Well, I wouldn't want to disorder Hop Pop… But I'm totally win!" Sprig excitedly as Anne and Crash cheers.

The two humans follow Sprig to the lake since he knows this town best as he was born and grew up here.

"This is great. Two pals beatin' the odds to have some fun. Here. Smile!" Anne took a selfie of the three together. "Whoa. Hey, that turned out great." Anne showed their selfie.

"I don't know what's crazier, that you just stole my soul in a tiny box, or that we look so incredible. I gotta say, this friend business is amazing!" Sprig excitedly even more.

"Didn't you have friends before I showed up?" Anne asked as Crash raised an eyebrow.

Sprig paused for a moment, thinking back on that one time he tried to pretend that he was getting eaten by a big skeleton of a fish thinking it would be fun, but the other kids didn't think so.

"Kids around here don't really get me." Sprig said.

"Well, hey, they are missin' out. Come on." Anne friendship punched Sprig's shoulder as she and Crash walk ahead.

"So, is punching part of friendship?" Sprig asked.

"Absolutely." Anne nodded.

The three arrive at the lake seeing how beautiful and wide it is, the kids couldn't wait to have fun in the water only to stop when they stumble upon a sign that says "Don't Swim" in red paint.

"This was not here last week." Sprig said.

Crash look at the sign and at the lake, getting an idea that something bad must've happened and told decide that he's going to check it out to make absolutely sure.

"Alright, but it better be nothing because I wanna do some swimming!" Anne demanded.

Crash jumps into the lake swimming through the water and looking around to see if there is anything dangerous that could make this lake close off, but so far there is nothing that could look dangerous that can kill a person until he started to feel like something is behind him.

He turns around and scream.

"Just you wait, Sprig. When my man comes back out, he's gonna give a thumbs up meaning" Crash came out while hanging onto fin on its back.

"A GIANT SNAKE?!" Anne and Sprig screamed.

The giant snake kept shaking and wiggling to force the boy until he was forced to let go and was thrown into the air. Crash looks down seeing the giant snake is about to go after Sprig and Anne, his first girlfriend and first frog friend he made in forever of his life.

Crash becomes scared, but he mostly becomes angry that the snake would dare to attack them and he's going to make it pay.

Suddenly, his tiki necklace started to glow in a golden glow and the little tiki becomes large the size of a human head like a mask and Crash instinctively took the tiki mask and dives down for the giant snake with a mighty scream and slams the mask right onto the giant snake as the Tiki mask becomes fitting for the snake's face and it stop attacking.

"What the… Crash, how are you doing that?" Anne asked.

Crash shrugs as he has no idea the Bandicoot Tiki mask can do that, and started to notice that the snake is moving on his command like a Wii game system then a new idea came into his head.

This leaves a big question in Crash's head about what is this ancient tiki, and what other secrets it holds.
