It's the three-month anniversary of this fic! Holy crap wow.

And I'm so close to 500 reviews like it's not even funny. If I get 600 reviews before this story ends I might actually cry you guys. Although I'm still mad that I missed 420 reviews, I was going to make several weed jokes (420 SOLANGELO IT).

And, yes, this chapter is back to normal time. I had to do a flashback with Infinitecity's request, unfortunately. Sorry for any confusion!

GUEST REVIEWS

Pi not Pie: Cuddles make the world go round okay. Alex had to explain everything before zhe went insane over Nico being so sheltered. More like discourage him, if you've seen Hercules ("HE'S A GUY!"). Thank you!

Lizzie: OKAY THANK YOU I LITERALLY HAVE BEEN WONDERING FOR NEARLY TWO YEARS WHY PEOPLE CALL SAM A MOOSE. I already know about Destiel, I just don't know whether it's actually canon or not (I've seen so much art about it though like it's insane). YOU'RE WELCOME!

Guest: I'll try! Yes zhe is lol. I'll try not to lol. Here's the update! Yes love that line and I'll read it!

Chapter idea goes to the magical MoonlightFairy782! That just reminded me of the Disney movie coming out next week, Strange Magic. I totally ship the brunette fairy girl with the goblin king dude. And Disney is supposedly making their first film with a gay couple! It's called Princes, and I think it comes out this fall! (I hope that they look like Will and Nico omg).

Disclaimer: Rick Riordan doesn't write Hades using the sassy Disney version of Hades. Meanwhile, I do, even if it is slightly OOC.

Chapter 22: Inappropriate Summons

Hades was confused.

Hopelessly, overwhelmingly, confused.

All that he had wanted to do was talk to his son. And Hades was in one of those moods where if he wanted something, he wanted it now. So he could hardly be bothered with the notion of sending his son a message, telling him "Hey! Your old man wants to see ya! Why don't you pop down to the Underworld for a minute or two?"

His desire to see his son was a bit surprising. After all, he had seen him just before he had left to go back up to the mortal world. But the days that Nico had spent down here were spent trying to help corral the spirits, so neither son nor father had much time for the other. And Hades wanted to have a proper talk with him. It had been nearly six months since the war had ended, after all, and he wanted to make sure that he was doing alright.

Not to mention what Aphrodite had been squealing over at the last council meeting…

But no. Hades refusedto focus on the stupid love goddess and her stupid ramblings, even if it meant her cursing his love life. It wouldn't have been the first time she had messed with it, anyways.

So Hades decided to just summon his son down to the Underworld. No heads up. No warning. No "Hey-your-old-man-wants-to-see-ya!" message.

What could possibly go wrong?

Of course, someone else had to be dragged along with Nico.

Hades' son was currently standing in the middle of the throne room of the Underworld's palace, looking just as bewildered as Hades currently felt. His sword was in one hand, which was currently hanging down at his side. And the other hand…

The other boy coughed, his eyes widening as he realized where he was. His skin was a dark brown, covered with darker freckles. His hair was a curly blonde, and his eyes were dark blue. He was wearing the standard Camp Half-Blood shirt, which told Hades that he was a demigod. He shouldn't have been in the Underworld. His time was far off, Hades could feel that. A quiver of arrows was strung across his back, and one hand held a bow.

The other hand was touching Nico's.

No, they weren't holding hands. But their hands were formed in the gesture that Hades had learned was called a "high five," after seeing Apollo and Hermes perform it so many times.

But that didn't excuse anything. How dare this boy touch Nico! It didn't matter what or who he was. Hades wasn't about to let any boy near his son!

And now that he thought about it, the boy looked disgustingly like Apollo. Sure, there were differences, such as how he reeked of mortality, Apollo had bluer eyes, and he wasn't singing any of those annoying "Eminem" songs that Apollo liked to call music. Hades was about to count the look of horror on his face, but he realized that Apollo had that exact expression whenever Artemis threatened to shoot his ass full of arrows.

Oh, good Fates. This wasn't the boy that Aphrodite was "shipping" with his son, was it? If so, he would flay the boy alive and rip out every organ in his body. And then he would send him down to the deepest, darkest parts of the Fields of Punishment. Or, even better, Tartarus. Yes, let the monsters tear through his flesh for all eternity. What a beautiful thought.

But Hades had to let Nico know why he was here first. Rising up from his throne, he cleared his throat. "Nico! It is good to see you again."

"Father." Nico had let his hand drop from the other boy's (Who looked like he was trying to melt into the shadows-please, he was no child of the Underworld) and stepped up to Hades. His confused expression had changed to a scowling one. "Is it more skeletons?"

Hades frowned. "Why would it be that?"

"Because that was why you needed me last time."

Hades shook his head. "No, I just wanted to talk to you. Speaking of which, let's talk about the boy that you've brought with you…Who is he?"

"Wha-Oh." Nico turned back to face the other boy, who had dropped his bow. "Chill, Will. My father just wanted to talk to me."

The boy-Will, Hades guessed-backed into the wall. "Um, I, uh, okay, I wanna, uhm, can I go back now?" he squeaked, staring up at Hades. He didn't make eye contact. He was respectful, Hades grudgingly gave him that.

Nico rolled his eyes, but turned back to face Hades anyways. "Yes, can you please send him back?"

Hades raised an eyebrow, and willed himself to shrink down to mortal size. "Well, I would. But first, kindly explain why his hand was in contact with yours."

Nico sighed. "It's called a high five, Father. It's usually what friends do whenever something happens that they enjoy."

"So he's your friend."

"Why else would he be high-fiving me?"

"Oh, I don't know…" A thought struck Hades. The boy that Aphrodite had been screeching about… "His name wouldn't be Will Solace, would it?"

Will yelped and cowered in his corner. Nico raised an eyebrow. "Actually, it is. How do you know this?"

Hades growled, and stomped up to Will. Will raised his arms up to shield himself. "Why?! Why now?!" he cried. "Give my love to my siblings!"

"You're the boy that Aphrodite has been 'shipping' with my son?!" Hades squawked. Behind him, he could hear the bones of his skeleton warriors clattering to life, and Nico's thinly veiled gasp of surprise. "I don't give a damn if your father is Apollo, but if you've been doing anything to mess with my son-"

Will lowered his arms, blinking in surprise. "Wait, what? Why would I be doing anything with Nico?" he asked. "I didn't ask for people to think that we belong together as a couple."

"Oh, really?" Hades sneered.

Will whimpered again. "No-No, sir! It just-It just came out of nowhere, honestly, I had nothing to do with it!"

"If you're lying-"

"Father!"

Hades turned to face Nico, who looked slightly panicked. "Yes?"

"Father, he's telling the truth. Neither of us had any idea why people thought we should start dating. But they did. We had nothing to do with it. Now, you can just let Will go…"

Hades glowered, but stepped away from Will. The skeleton warriors collapsed into piles of bones, and melted back into the ground. Nico sighed in relief.

Will slowly sank down against the wall. "I'm not dead…I'm not dead…Holy shit…" he whispered, staring straight ahead.

Nico walked over to him and kicked his leg. "Get up, you idiot."

"Can I just lie down for a few minutes?" Will asked weakly, before falling over on his side.

Hades raised an eyebrow. "I was expecting someone like Percy Jackson."

Nico groaned. "Father, can you not?"

"He's not." Hades stroked his chin. The Will that he had been seeing in his mind was the fearless son of Apollo, leading his cabin into battle and defeating the enemy with just a single arrow, ever since Aphrodite had first squealed about 'Solangelo.' This Will was a complete coward, who dropped his bow within five seconds of arriving in the Underworld and was currently slumped over and hyperventilating on his side. "Much better."

Nico stared. "Father…?"

"Hmm?" Hades raised his other eyebrow. Perhaps Aphrodite was on to something here. If Nico had to end up with a numbskull, better a cowardly numbskull such as Will Solace than an arrogant numbskull of his brother's such as Percy Jackson.

Not that Hades approved. Far from it.

"Father, please. Didn't you say that you only wanted to talk to me? Send Will back," Nico pleaded. The neutral look on his face was forced, as though he was struggling to hide his true feelings

This surprised Hades. How did Nico feel about Will? He had never brought him up, like how he had continuously brought up Percy Jackson. Was his son hiding something? Did he hate Will? Like him? Hades wasn't sure.

"If that is what you want, my son," Hades replied, before turning back to the son of Apollo.

Will was standing up on shaky legs now, breathing slightly faster than normal. "Look, I seriously don't know why they started to 'ship' us, I have no intentions to date your son, Lord Hades-"

Hades cut him off. "Son of Apollo."

Will glanced up. "Y-Yes?"

"My son has requested that you be brought back to the mortal world."

Will paused, before nodding. "Oh, okay. Thanks, Nico!"

"Shut it, Solace."

Will grumbled.

Hades ignored their exchange, for the most part. "So if you don't want to stay down here-"

"I don't want to!" Will turned bright red. "I-I mean, this is a great place and all, but I have to go back, oh gods please don't smite me for insulting you-"

Hades scowled. He was starting to get irritating. "Begone, mortal." And with a wave of his hand, Will Solace disappeared.

Nico breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Father."

"Hmph." Hades stared at Nico, until the demigod had to glance away.

"What is it? If you need to talk to me about something-"

"What is Will Solace to you?" Hades demanded.

Nico froze up, and Hades mentally patted himself on the back. He knew that there was more to Will Solace than Nico had let on. "Um, he's a…he's a friend?"

Hades shook his head slowly. "No. There's something else there. He hasn't hurt you in any way, has he?"

Nico shook his head as well. "No, Father, he hasn't."

"You are not telling me everything."

Hades could've sworn that Nico's face started to turn red. "He's just a friend, okay? There's nothing there-nothing at all."

"You like him," Hades guessed.

Nico did blush this time. "No-no! It's not like that! He's just-I just-"

Hades chuckled, and Nico stopped stammering. "Do not worry, my son. He is better than that infidel Jackson."

"Father, there's nothing-"

Hades held up a hand for silence. "Let us walk, shall we?"

*I'M WALKING ON SUNSHINE, WOAH-OH! AND I FEEL GOOD! YEAH!*

Needless to say, it was quite a shock for the entire Apollo cabin to wake up the next morning when an angry god of the dead appeared in a column of green flames.

"What the fuck?!" Alex yelped and fell out of zher bed. Laurel burst into tears and ran over to Alice's bed, sobbing in Portuguese. Gordon and Samuel were frozen, while Kayla, Austin, and Meredith attempted to calm down the rest of the younger children.

"WILL SOLACE!" Hades boomed, storming over to Will's bed.

Will himself was frozen as well, and was visibly paling as Hades strode closer to him. "Y-Yes, sir?"

Hades seemed to grow taller in that instant, as he glared down at Will. "I swear, Will Solace," he spat, "that if you do not marry my son, your punishment in the Underworld will be far from merciful!" And with that, he disappeared in a puff of smoke.

Gordon lifted the covers off from his head, pushing up his signature shades. "What was that all about?" he asked, staring at everyone with wide olive green eyes.

Meredith shrugged, reaching out for her wheelchair, which Austin pushed towards her. "I don't know. How did you anger Hades, Will?"

Will was staring off into space. "'Marry?'" he asked. "Why would he say that?"

"Maybe he ships it now? Like, Persephone got to him or something," Samuel suggested. "Does Persephone even ship it?"

Kayla shuddered. "I'm officially scared now."

Will glanced up at Alex, who shook zher head and mouthed 'I did nothing' at him.

The incident was unmentioned for the rest of the day, although during cabin inspection Hansika had to ask why there was skull-shaped burn marks on the floor. Instead of telling her why, everyone blamed Gordon and his crazy Arts and Crafts ideas. Gordon was later found behind his cabin, hitting his head repeatedly with a pillow and muttering "And they think that Apollo kids are bad liars" over and over.

And if anyone's a Homestuck, I made Andrew Hussie despairing over Meenah/Vriska being a thing my phone background.

I'm still in shock over Meenah/Vriska. I wasn't expecting that.

I need to write fics about them being cute girlfriends now.
