Happy one-day-late birthday to EffervescentGrace, the author of "Wrong Number!" You're older than me now goddammit. Hahah kidding I still love you Chelsee.

Well, this one isn't very long either. But next chapter will definitely make up for that.

And sorry for the wait! Life sucks, and so do all of my school projects ew.

Guest: Cool! Also I misread that as Asburgers and I was really confused for a sec lmao.

Chapter idea goes to Ippiki Ookami no Fuyu! Yes, you know what is going to happen…

Disclaimer: I think Rick Riordan doesn't discuss Solangelo in church with his friend. (No that legit happened I talked about Solangelo with my friend while we were in our church for a thing she nearly hit me when I told her about my sadder Solangelo ideas.)

Chapter 24: The Lament of Aphrodite, part 1

"Oh. My. FATES!" a female voice shrilled.

Cupid flipped to the next page of Olympus Weekly. "Welcome, Mother," he greeted, without lifting his eyes up from the magazine.

Aphrodite was fuming. You could tell by how her body refused to change from its current form, which was currently a fifteen-year-old Italian girl, with short black hair and shadowed dark brown eyes. Her clothes also remained the same-dark, with skulls as an accessory.

"Ooh!" The only difference between her and Nico di Angelo currently, besides the gender, was how her face held so much more expression than his usually did. Her lips were pulled down into one of her rare pouts. "I just cannot-How could they-Ooh!" She stamped her foot angrily, pink ripples echoing off from its impact onto the floor. "It's taking them so long, and I can see why now!"

Cupid chuckled. "I told you, Mother. They're fighting a lost cause."

Aphrodite threw her hands up in the air. "Obviously!" She started to stomp around the throne room of Olympus, pink circles appearing wherever her feet touched. "Ugh, it's that stupid ritual they came up with. They're so used to getting people together only to break them up that nothing they do will work." She stopped and sighed. "I should've blessed their cabin sooner."

"Mother, you're only sticking to one form again. And it's that form."

Aphrodite looked down at herself and pulled a face. "Oh, Fates. I can't believe that I stuck to this form. I'm so skinny in this!" She groaned, and her appearance changed again. She shot up a few inches and her skin darkened until it was nearly pitch-black. Her hair turned pitch-black and did itself in braids, shooting down to her waist. Her body expanded until she was chubby, and her outfit changed to a pastel blue sundress. Her eyes became dark brown. "Better. Honestly, I have no idea why people think skinny is the only beautiful. I don't know what those mortals are thinking. Honey, if you can see any of your bones, it's time to gain weight!"

"True, true." Cupid flipped to the next page of the magazine.

Aphrodite stared at him, before walking over in her new sandals. "What are you doing here, anyways? I thought I told you to go keep an eye on all of those other ships?"

Cupid didn't glance up from the page he was on. "Yeah, well, it gets boring. I swoop in, shoot a few arrows, stir up emotions, then swoop right out."

"Hmm."

Cupid did not like the sound of that. He looked up to see his mother tapping her bottom lip. "Mother? What are you thinking?"

Aphrodite's appearence rippled and changed again. Her skin lightened and freckled, and her hair became short, curly, and red. Her eyes lightened to a crystal blue, and she shrunk a few inches. The dress changed to pure white and the hem lengthened. "Oh, nothing, my son...Just that you can show my demigod children how shipping is really done!"

Cupid did put down his magazine this time. "Mother, are you telling a joke? You know that I don't like being associated with your brats."

Aphrodite glared at him, her appearence changing until she had become a pale, short and skinny girl with scarlet eyes and stringy black hair, in a white dress with red trimmings. "My son, does it look like I care right now?"

Cupid shuddered to himself. He hated this "angry" form of his mother's. It reminded him of...No, that goddess had been forgotten centuries ago, and even if she was still around, Cupid would never allow himself near her. "No, mother."

"Good!" Aphrodite brightened, and in an instant her hair was long, blonde, and wavy, while her eyes returned to crystal blue and she grew a few more inches. "Don't worry, you can bring a friend along if you want to. Bring Favinous?"

Cupid scoffed. "Why wouldn't I? Neither of us have much better to do, anyways."

"Mm." Aphrodite bopped him on the nose, and Cupid scowled. Aphrodite pouted, somehow managing to pull it off gracefully. "It'll be fun! All that you two have to do is talk Will Solace and Nico di Angelo into getting together. And you've had experience with Nico already, haven't you?"

"That didn't go down very well."

Aphrodite shrugged. "It's been six months already. Maybe it'll go better this time!"

Cupid scoffed. "I doubt it."

"Just imagine, Cupid darling. How happy the campers will be! Sacrifices in your honor. More praise to you! More people telling you that you look fabulous today. Try it for me?"

Cupid stared at his mother, but Aphrodite showed no sign of breaking her resolve. Finally, Cupid sighed, and threw his magazine onto the ground. "If you don't make a big deal out of it, I'll do it."

Aphrodite squealed and giggled, before wrapping her arms around her son and pulling him in for a hug. "Oh, yes! This is why you've always been one of my favorite children."

"Quiet, Mother, I have to IM Favinous now."

"Oh, sure. Go right ahead! I'll be waiting."

Cupid sighed as his mother skipped away, her appearence changing again with each step. Cupid did love his mother, but she could be a real handful at times.

*HERE COMES THE SUN, IT'S ALRIGHT*

Amelia yawned as she opened the door. It was eight in the morning-too early to be up, in her opinion. She was the only one up out of her siblings, in fact. So who could be knocking at this ungodly hour?

Turns out she wasn't right about the "ungodly" part.

The door swung open to reveal two men with Greek features. One had curly ginger hair and dark skin, the other black hair and pale skin. The first man had dark blue eyes, but the second's were bloodred. Both wore togas, in a style similar to what Amelia had seen in textbooks describing them.

But the clincher was their wings. Both had long, feathery white wings, sprouting out of their backs, so obvious that it was a wonder that Amelia hadn't seen them before. Both men also gave off an aura, one that spoke of a thousand years of love and loss, of peace and war, that only gods could exberate.

Amelia's jaw dropped open. "Oh my gods. You're...You're both...Holy crap..." She stared at them in disbelief.

The ginger man smiled. "Hello, Amelia! I'm Favinous, and this is my friend Cupid. Please, no autographs. Now, can you please point us in the direction of Will Solace and Nico di Angelo?"

I totally did not foreshadow a bit of another story that I have planned okay.

HEY GUESS WHAT IT'S NEARLY 3AM save me

Thank you all for 50,000+ views, 300+ favorites, 400+ followers, and 570+ reviews! If I break either 60,000 views or 600 reviews I might actually cry okay.

Happy late birthday, Nico di Angelo! He turned 15 (19? 91?) on January 28th-last Wednesday! I wrote a small one-shot about it! It's called "A Drabbly Birthday" and it can also be found on my AO3, WattPad, and Tumblr!

Also, Ghosty (ghostyStarr-Yes, I'm talking about that ghostyStarr), me, and a few other people are organizing a Solangelo weekend! It's gonna be the first full weekend of August. What you do is submit art, fanfictions, and whatnot to us, and we put them in a PDF file for everyone to enjoy! The submitting starts March 1st, 2015, and ends July 10th, 2015. Four months should be plenty of time for submissions! Check out her tumblr for more information, or contact me or her via PM on here!

Speaking of which, there may be *ahem* a collab story *coughs* that involves *hacks* me *hems* and a few *whooping cough* other Solangelo fic famous people *cough up lung* that's about Solangelo *coughs up other lung* and it will involve some of my OCs *coughs up stomach* and we are planning it *coughs up heart and dies*

I'm not confirming anything. If anyone asks, you heard it from somewhere else.

GETTING AWAY FROM THAT…

You guys should read "Something to Remember" by biancadiangeno! It's an all-mortal AU, and it centers around Solangelo. Nico can see ghosts in it it's really cool. But a vomit trigger warning for the pie-eating contest scene, I had to skip it myself. You guys should totally read it, though!

Expect the next chapter around Saturday or Sunday!

Also you might want some chocolate. To prepare.
