*THIS CHAPTER WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE SOMETHING BAD HAPPEN TO KENDALL AND CARLOS, BUT I DECIDED TO CHANGE IT*
Carlos had three days off after working eight days straight, and he was glad to have the time off.
During his eight days straight, he finally learned what is taking the place of Colossus, the roller coaster they were all sad to see go.
He was currently sitting in his room with Logan, on his laptop, ad called Zane.
"Zane! Can you come here?"
"Yes, daddies?" Zane answered as he opened his fathers' bedroom door.
"I found out what's gonna happen to Colossus! They're gonna make it bigger!" Carlos said.
"Really?" Zane said, excited.
"Look!" Carlos said showing him the video announcement.
"Coming to Magic Mountain in Spring 2015, Twisted Colossus! The world's longest hybrid coaster, where wood meets steel!"
"Ooh, cool." Zane said before hugging Carlos. "Thank you for showing me."
"You're welcome. Now get ready."
"Where we going?"
"We're going to meet Grandma so she can help Carlos find somewhere to build the bakery he wants."
"Okay."
"I wonder if Zane's gonna be okay with me quitting Six Flags if I ever get to open the bakery." Carlos said.
"He will. And besides, we have season passes." Logan said kissing his fiancé.
When they went down the staircase, they saw Kendall playing his guitar in the living room.
"That's what Gustavo wants! You got this!"
"Hey, what going on with you two?" Logan asked.
"James managed to get me an audition so I can be Gustavo's newest musical act!"
"That's so cool!" Carlos said.
"I know. I hope he likes my singing."
"He will."
"Does that you gonna work with Uncle James and daddy, Uncle Kendall?"
"Not exactly. but I hope so."
"Come on, my mom is waiting for us, Carlos." Logan said getting his car keys.
"Bye guys, see you later." Carlos said.
After about a ten minute drive, Logan, Carlos, and Zane met Logan's mother at an empty building that had been deserted for a while.
"Hi, Mrs. Mitchell." Carlos said.
"Hi, boys, it's nice of you to come today, especially you Carlos, I know you worked a lot hours recently, so I don't want to waste your time."
They all stepped inside the building, which Carlos then noticed "It's feels bigger when we're on the inside."
"It does. I figure this is the kind of thing you'd like for your business. And I listened to your first condition: it's close to your home."
"I feel like I can't pick this one until I at least see the other places." Carlos said in observation.
"That's where we're off to. We have at least three more places to go to, and they're all less than a thirty minute drive from your house."
The next place they went two was an empty two-story building which was obviously bigger and would cost more.
"So, this place is bigger, and will obviously cost more, but after calculating your budget, it can be affordable, but ultimately, it would be your choice." Mrs. Mitchell explained.
"Can we go upstairs, Grandma?" Zane asked.
"Sure."
After they went upstairs, Carlos then saw that the second floor could be made into a lot more.
"It's really big, but if I choose this, I would have a problem picking if I want another kitchen up here, or if the whole floor would be just for customers."
"You'll pick the right choice in the end, babe." Logan said.
"I know you will too, Carlos. But you don't have to pick right away. Ready for the third choice?"
"Yes."
Meanwhile, Kendall was meeting with Gustavo to audition for his record label.
He was hoping Gustavo wouldn't let his relationship as James' fiancé affect the choice.
"Okay, Kendall. First, I want you to sing me something from your own material. James told me you do that."
"Well, I do have some songs, can I have a few minutes to decide?" Kendall asked.
"Just as long as the song is good and your voice singing it is, take all the time you need."
Kendall then went over to his backpack and got his folder of songs he wrote.
He saw James sitting near Gustavo giving him a thumbs up.
After about two minutes, Kendall put the folder back inside, and got back up on his feet.
"Okay, this is a song I wrote a while back called Melodies and Memories." Kendall said.
As he sang, he saw Gustavo lean his head closer, in awe.
When he was over, Gustavo got up and applauded him.
"That was amazing! Look, I'm crying!" Gustavo said wiping his eyes.
"Thank you. I hope you'll consider adding me to your label." Kendall said.
"You two love birds be alone for a bit, I have a decision to make." Gustavo said going into his office.
"I hope I made a good impression on him." Kendall said.
"You did! He'd be crazy not to put you on the label. The only thing you have to worry about is his boss."
"Isn't his boss that man who wanted us to cheat on each other for that photo shoot earlier last year?"
"Yeah."
"Oh crap. Gustavo's gonna wanna say yes, but his boss is gonna say no." Kendall said with his face in his hands.
"Don't think like that. You know, Big Time Rush wouldn't be a band if Griffin got his way earlier."
"How?"
"He wanted only me to on the label, but I told him that I wanted Logan with me so we could be a duo, and if he refused, then he would have no artist representing the label."
"I remember you telling me that."
"And look how much me and him made it as a duo." James said.
"You're right. If he doesn't say yes, then he's crazy."
Just then, Gustavo came out of his office.
"Well?" Kendall asked.
"I have a decision. Although, it's a slightly different one than I originally planned."
***WITH CARGAN***
Logan, Carlos, and Zane were now eating lunch with Logan's mother at IHOP, when Logan got a phone call.
"Hello, James?"
"Logan? Is Carlos there?"
"Yes."
"Can you put the phone on speaker?"
"It's on speaker now. What's up?"
"Hey guys." Kendall said.
"What's up Kendall did your audition go well?" Carlos asked.
"Better than planned."
"Good! So you got put on the label?"
"Kind of."
"Wait, what do you mean kind of?"
"Gustavo told his boss, and well, now we have a decision to make."
"What kind of decision?"
"That's the thing. Griffin and Gustavo want Kendall to join the band ASAP."
"Oh my god!" Carlos said.
"Do it! Join the band" Logan said.
"I agree with Carlos. He can join the band. Tell them I'm okay with it." Logan said.
"So does that mean..." Kendall said.
"Yes, Dogs." Gustavo said on the phone. "Big Time Rush is now a three-man group! Welcome to the label, Kendall. And more importantly, welcome to the band." Gustavo said.
"I'm in the band!" Kendall cheered.
"Kendall's in the band!" Logan and Carlos cheered.
"So does that mean Uncle Kendall works with Daddy and Uncle James?" Zane asked.
"Yes it does." Carlos said.
"Your first rehearsal is on Friday, Kendall. Don't be late." Gustavo said.
"Best day ever." Kendall said after hanging up the phone.
Kendall was now one step closer to his future and couldn't be happier.
