Dragon Ball NA
Last time on NA: With the arrival of the ship builders, our heroes waited nearly all day for them to complete it. Afterwards, just as soon as they started their trek across the universe, they stopped to help the two survivors trapped in a nearly destroyed space ship. Will Rugai and Tenchu reach them in time? Rugai and Tenchu rounded the corner leading towards the mess hall, a larger shadow covered part of the path leading there. They quickly stopped. The shadow materialized into a strange, nearly disembodied creature with a shark-like mouth screeched loudly at them. "Tenchu, stand back, this looks like trouble." The creature charged fast at them, Rugai extended his hand at the creature and fired an energy blast at it, destroying its head and upper-left body. As the creature fell, Rugai lowered his hand and kept looking at it. "Looks like its not getting up. Better hurry then." As Tenchu started his way, the creature got up again and screeched loudly at them again. "WHY WON'T YOU DIE!?" The creature charged at Rugai again. Rugai extended both hands forward, then fired off a big enough energy blast at the creature utterly destroying it.
Tenchu finally reached the mess hall, and saw that the two children survivors huddled and crying. Tenchu noticed that the shadows engulfing almost the entire room, leaving the entrance and the area surrounding the girls untouched. Tenchu kept silent, and floated towards them. As he reached them, he placed his finger on his lips to say 'Please stay quiet while I get you out of here'. The girls nodded and took hold onto his body on either side of him, Tenchu firmly held them as he floated back to the entrance. When he looked back, the shadows moved quickly to the area where the girls were, and engulfed it completely. When he returned to Rugai, he was launching big enough energy blasts at the creatures emerging from the shadows from the direction of their ship. "Ru, how're we going to get back?"
"I don't know, but these... things just don't give up!" Tenchu looked back, and saw the shadows from the mess hall caught up with him.
"Um... Rugai... I think we're screwed bro." Tenchu put the girls down and also extended his hands at the shadows. "Give us a break! Well, I'm glad that I got to fight along side you man. Wish We could've seen more of the universe along the way." Rugai smirked a bit.
"We're going to have to bum rush towards our ship. Tenchu, gab the girls, I'll distract them long enough for you to get them on. Whatever these... THINGS... are, they won't rest until they get what they want. Make sure that afterwards, you take out any of those things from our ship." Tenchu nodded, grabbed the girls and took off flying towards the ship. Rugai closed his fists, and fired continuous shotgun blasts at the creatures, then took the longest way back. Whenever he encountered the area with moving shadows, he'd fire a shotgun blast at it, destroying it. He then entered the cargo hold, and saw the biggest and most ugliest creature he'd laid eyes on. "Well aren't you a sight of ugliness." The creature screamed loudly, causing the hold to shake violently. Rugai transformed into a Super Saiyan, causing the creature to move back slightly. The creature's body looked like a fusion of almost every humanoid that was on that ship, with the centepede-like body and a dual scorpion tail. Rugai just floated there and stared at the creature fiercely. The creature's 6 arms then divided in half, regenerated into full working limbs. The creature screeched even louder, Rugai just floated there, then cracked his neck, and took a fighting position. "Are you done yet? I really need to head back to my friends and get moving. So if you don't mind..." Rugai's closed fists started to glowed with his golden-yellow power. "Now take this attack and JUST DIE ALREADY!" The energy in his fists got bigger, he pulled both hands behind him, thrusted his body a bit forward, then extended his hands forcefully at the creature. "SHOTGUN DOUBLE BARREL!" The blasts shot out at the creature with lightning speed, hitting the creature's entire body, causing most of the limbs to explode off the body.
The creature screeched in a loud pain, then regenerated most of its lost limbs back. When the creature attacked Rugai, Rugai teleported behind the creature at first. The creature used its tails to sting him in the chest and stomach. Rugai quickly teleported high above the cargo hold, and gathered up more energy in his fists again. "SHOTGUN DOUBLE BARREL!" He launched his attack at the creature again, taking out more of the limbs and both tails. The creature wreathed and screamed in pain again. The creature divided himself from the charred parts of his body, and slowly crawled towards Rugai. As Rugai was catching his breath after firing off a second double barrel attack. He then placed both hands behind his left side of his body, and gathered energy between his half-closed hands. "Kamehame..." the energy that he gathered, went bright white with a blue outter shine. The creature stopped in its advancement, screeched real loudly, then lunged at Rugai. "HAAAAAAAAAAA..." Rugai launched the Kamehameha at the creature, destroying the entire body, went through the cargo hold, and into the ship's engine, causing it to warp, and then slowly exploded. Rugai quickly flew back in the same direction he took to get on the infested ship, got back onto his, quickly closed and locked the air lock. "Get this ship moving, NOW!" Rugai hit the intercom button that's connected to the cockpit. Soon, Darryn moved the ship away, then the other ship finally exploded.
Rugai stumbled into the medical room where Tenchu was sitting next to the young girls he rescued. "You look like crap, bro." Tenchu looked at Rugai in his Super Saiyan form. "You might want to revert back so you won't scare them." Rugai managed to lay on the bed, then reverted to normal.
"I don't want to face that creature ever again. Let me sleep for awhile, ok?" Jeena and Deena was glad that Rugai didn't die on that ship. Just then, the young girls woke up to see that they're on a different ship. One of them saw Tenchu and hugged him tightly.
"Thank you mister. My sister Greanne and I wouldn't last much longer without your help. Is that other guy ok?" Tenchu held her hand.
"Its no problem, young lady. My friend and I do this all the time." He smiled at her, the little girl smiled back before drifting off to sleep.
"My little sister Lizza was so scared of those things, this is the first time she gotten to sleep in a bed. Thank you mr. for your help, and thank your friend there too when he gets up. Did he take on the queen in the cargo hold?" Rugai tossed and turned a bit before opening his eyes and stare at the ceiling.
"That creature in the cargo hold was butt ugly. I took care of it, don't worry." Greanne sighed in relief.
"Good. That...thing, latched onto the ship, infected almost everyone, and merged with only those that looked strong. It was so creepy, Lizza and I hid as best as we could. Stupid captain, taking that shortcut through the Necronic Nebula. You guys should NEVER go there. It will destroy you." Greanne passed out on the bed again. Tenchu looked at Jeena.
"Necronic Nebula?" Jeena quietly layed the medical equipment down, then turned to him. "The worst nebula ever. It has... well no stars. No charts to guide ships, just complete blackness. Even Saiyans fear to set even a foothold in that nebula. Its cruel nickname for it, Nexus of Death. The builders of our ship put in a safeguard to prevent even hacking to delete the programming by any outside source or internal tampering. Besides, where we're heading, isn't anywhere near there." Rugai got up, and headed out the room. After wandering aimlessly through the corridors, he arrived at the cockpit.
"I heard everything, boy. Darryn even rechecked himself, and princess is right. Well no matter, lets find a planet for those kids to stay on and hopefully get adopted by a family there." Rugai smiled at Bull, then left to head to the other gravity training room.
"Is it wise to do that? I mean, what if Ms. Jeena found a similar parasite on one or both of those kids?" Bull looked at the communications log and hijacked the star chart.
"If that happens, the boy will take care of it." Darryn kept piloting the ship, while Bull kept up with monitoring the communications and the star charts.
Kanashimi, Deena and Sanfan were training in one of the gravity chambers set at 30x normal. "Why do you follow that weakling that doesn't have that drive to be a real Saiyan Warrior?" Kanashimi asked while sitting on the ground with the other two.
"I follow him because my Tenchu does. And he looks so strong too." Sanfan smiled while using dumbells to keep herself busy.
"He's not a weakling. He's the strongest, most caring guy I have known. He took on an entire army because one of his friends was taken. All he cares about is helping his friends and those who can't protect themselves from people like you and this Lyc guy." Deena gave Kanashimi an icy stare that would scare any guy, then went to a questionable one. "Who is Lyc anyways?" Kanashimi got a bit irritated at the question, then lowered her head with some depression mixed in.
"Prince Lyc." She put the emphasis on the prince title. "Is the next to be crowned King of the Saiyans. I first met him long ago, when I was destroying large enough targets with just my finger." She held up her left finger. "Offered me a position when he's crowned, so naturally I accepted it. Over the next few years, Lyc would only take the strongest fighters as his own and kick anyone who's weak in his eyes. It happened to me just a few months before the planet was destroyed. I lost a fight to some girl who was just as strong as me, but was more cunning. I have to agree with the princess, Lyc has to be stopped. If I can't then..." She tried her hardest to swallow that pride of hers before resuming her conversation with them. "...Rugai has too."
Sanfan and Deena both smiled at Kanashimi's last words. "Looks like you accepted Rugai as someone who wants to be friends with." Kanashimi blushed a bit, smacked both her face cheeks, got up and resumed her training. Shortly afterwards, Deena and Sanfan did the same.
"Don't take my 'swallowing my pride' too lighly. I just don't want the Saiyan name be ruined by Lyc's rule."
Three Earth days later...
Our heroes arrived on planet Bolunima, where Rugai and Tenchu guided the girls to a small village near the dark-purple ocean. "Holy cow mr.! This place is so quiet an amazing!" Lizza was loving the quiet village, while Greanne breathed in the sweet air comming off the ocean. "Will anyone adopt us Mr.?" Lizza looked at Rugai with puppy dog eyes.
"I'm sure someone will. A small village like this is usually friendly." As soon as Rugai looked up at one of the houses, an elder, looking pale gray and hunched, stood before them.
"Are you the legendary warrior amongst the stars that'll save us from a catastrophy?" The elder coughed after speaking, then wheezed a bit before looking back at Rugai.
"I wouldn't know about being a 'legendary warrior', but we are traveling the stars to head to somewhere." Tenchu and Rugai exchanged glances with each other before looking back at the elder.
"If you could listen to the ramblings of an old man, but this planet is plagued by a demonic creature of great strength. He has destroyed many villages and big cities along his path. Please I beg of you, stop this beast before he destroys this world." The elder got on his hands and knees, and lowered his head at them.
"We will have to ask the rest of our friends about this, but you got my help to stop this demon." Tenchu put in his added support as well. The elder started tearing up and grabbed hold of each of their hand and shook them with much joy.
Back on the ship, everyone was sitting in the mess hall when Rugai and Tenchu told the story about what is happening. "You do realize that this'll puts a hamper on our trip, right?" Kanashimi put her opinion about it.
"We can't let these people get wiped out. I know it sucks, but shouldn't we be helping everyone we can on our trip that might help us get stronger in the battle with Lyc?" Deena argued with her.
"Settle down brats." Bull chimed in. "The boy already decided for us, now we must figure out who'll go with him." Bull slammed his fist on the table, then stared at everyone fiercely.
"Though most of you are MY students, helping others in their time of need helps your karma in the long run." Evelyn just smiled at them. As the gang decided on who else is going, Bull brought out three small boxes and layed them on the table.
"Kids and everyone else, put these in an ear and I'll explain what it's for." Rugai, Deena and Sanfan each opened up a box, and inside were ear plug looking items. Each one of them, except Bull and Darryn, put it in an ear. "What you're wearing is a personalized communicator. Powered by your internal body electricity, and using the planet's polerized magnetic field as its anntenae, we can clearly keep in touch with each other. Just say the name you want and instant connection to any one or group."
Rugai and Tenchu looked at Bull with a dumbfounded look. "Huh?" Said Rugai.
"It's simple boy, the electricity that your briain sends to your body, it powers that device in your ear. And the electro-magnetic waves that all planets generate, carries a signal without any interferance. Clear enough for you?" Bull pulled out his new tablet, and went to work on making random designs.
"Don't really care how it works, but I'm going with you two to take out this so called "Demonic Creature' and put a stop to it." Kanashimi chimed in. "I suggest that three other people gather more information about this... thing." Everyone looked at each other, and all nodded in agreement.
Upon arriving on a planet after rescuing two young girls, our heroes embark to stop a demonic creature from destroying the planet. Will they succeed? Find out next time on Dragon Ball NA.
