Staring at her food, Luz tried to will her stomach to actually be hungry enough to eat, but instead, it made her stomach go around in bigger circles until she felt even sicker than she had been to start with. She groaned as she saw the number of people entering the Great Hall for their breakfast. No, she needed to remember that she wasn't teaching all of them, just small numbers at a time.

She reached for her water when an older woman next to her said "Feeling nervous my dear?" She turned to face the older woman who had short curly greying-brown hair and a pair of spectacles that rested on her nose. "Slightly, Is feeling this nervous about teaching normal?"

The older woman laughed "Of course it is. Every teacher is terrified for their first-day teaching at a new school. What are the students going to be like, do you actually know the subject you're teaching, what if you kill them because you don't teach them perfectly right…okay that last one mostly applies to our line of work but it still stands. The point is, it's alright to be scared. But you're going to feel really ill if you don't eat something."

The words vibrated within Luz's head and she grabbed a piece of toast, buttered it and ate it before asking "So what do you teach then?" The Other woman smiled and said "Runes." Luz's face lit up and the two women started discussing their shared interest even if it was over different kinds of runes.

A Tiny wee bit later

Tracey straitened her prefect badge once more as she and Daphne walked towards their first class with Professor Noceda. For the first time in her life, Tracey was watching her best friend, the girl known as the Ice Queen for being so stoic, almost vibrating through the floor in excitement.

The other girl was speaking so fast that Tracey could barely keep up catching the odd words about "Runes, new, Different Magic." She was sure her friend would take all the notes needed when Tracey fell asleep in the middle of class because she had been up so late dealing with her perfect duties. Seriously 5 cases of Bullying on the night from her own House?! She was pretty sure Professor Snape was already going to kill her for how many times she had to disturb his evening drink.

Choosing to take the conversation into a place where Tracey had the energy to talk about things she waited for Daphne to breathe and said "Have you ever wondered why they keep putting Slytherin and Gryffindor Houses together for classes? Like our houses hate each other and would happily kill or at least torture each other but they still stick us together every single year for most of our classes."

The blond stopped and said "It's probably Dumbledore's way of trying to get the two houses to get along, you know the headmaster loves his schemes like that. Also, I thought you would love that our houses have classes together this year seeing how it means it lets you see Harry." Tracey could feel the bridge of her nose light up like it was Christmas and said "Agh just go back to talking about Runes."

Her friend laughed and did as she asked. The two of them arrived at Professor Noceda's classroom where they were met by the strong smell of Coffee, the door was open so the two continued in to see only three other students within. The Golden trio themselves were talking to Professor Noceda like old friends.

It was Ron who noticed them first and gave them a small smile but kept on talking to the professor as she sorted her desk, getting it just perfect while also sipping her coffee. Tracey made their way up to them and said "Morning Harry, Hermione, Mr Weasley, Professor Noceda."

The Professor looked up and said "Ah morning Miss…Davies wasn't it. Hope you had a good night's sleep. Do the 5 of you actually mind getting seated so that the other students get what they're meant to do when they come in?" The 5 nodded and made their way to the seats which were grouped in twos and threes.

Tracey went over to the two fully expecting Daphne to sit next to her but instead, the Icey-blue-eyed girl smirked as she sat at the table of three which Hermione and Ron had just sat at to. Harry looked between the two tables and said "Alright then, mind if I sit next to you Tracey." Trying to keep the blush off her face, she used as much confidence as she could muster and said "Of course."

The two sat quietly, not even daring to talk about their meeting the previous night when they had been on duty as they both listened to Daphne and Hermione discussing some arithmancy book they had while Ron just opened up the new journal that Hermione had bought him.

The Class soon filtered in with the Gryffindors and Slytherins sticking to their own houses outside of the 5 of them. Tracey had to admit she was disappointed. Despite the fact, it was Daphne who had instigated the different house-sitting for her and Harry.

Once every seat was filled, Professor Noceda finally put her mug of coffee down and said "Good Morning Class, I'm Professor Noceda. I'm the new Boiling Isles Culture and Runes Teacher. This class will explain the ancient realm of the Deamon Realm, and its main Island, The Boiling Isles, How we use magic and how I in particular use magic. Now does anybody know what the Boiling Isles is, and no Answers from the three Gryffindors at the front as I know you know and that's cheating." Tracey stuck her hand up thinking she might know the answer.

Luz smiled as she saw Miss Davies stick up her hand and said "Miss Davies, what do you think it is?" Tracey's hand dropped as she replied nervously "I've read somewhere that there are many ancient magic realms that live in direct parallel to our own. Most of them are shut off from us but a couple can be accessed, the one that can be accessed the most is also the most ancient after our own and is called the Demon Realm where Human like-beings possess amazing magic without the need for wands to channel it."

Luz pointed her hand towards the girl and said "Excellent Miss Davies, why you didn't exactly answer my question, You did show some extremely impressive knowledge. % points to Slytherin. Now Miss Davies is correct, the Demon Realm is one of the most ancient realms out there. I myself know it goes back at least the prehistoric era which makes it actually the oldest known parallel realm in general. Now the Realm itself today is made up of being that we call Demons and Witches. And it needs to be noted that Demons can be witches too. Everything in the Realm has magic. But before we get into the history of the realm I'm going to give you a taste of my magic."

She pulled out her chalkboard and used chalk to start drawing the light rune, "this is the rune that I use to generate light. See I didn't use magic like most of my fellow Boiling Isles residents so I had to find my own way. And thanks to the magic of this castle. So can you. Now in your groups practise making this rune. When you're done we're going to hit them and see the classroom light up."

Watching as the students scrambled to get some ink to write with, in the front row she was happy to see Harry and Tracey getting a feel for drawing the Runes, the two enthusiastically discussing how it could work while the other front-row students managed to get it almost as quickly, only slowed by Hermione and Miss Greengrass explaining it to Ron in a way he understood.

After 20 minutes she called out "Alright class, time's up. As everyone got at least one rune?" She got a variety of agreements but she carried on "Great. Now I'm going to turn off the lights and on my count, you're going to hit your pieces of scroll or paper." Changing the rune on her glove, she aimed it at the chandelier and let out a low-powered gust of wind that made the room go dark, and a chilly breeze settled into the classroom.

"3, 2,1 Everyone Hit your Runes!"

She heard several loud smacks as people hit the desk full force which made her grin as heard several yelps. But even the hardest smacks worked as across the room 22 lights shot up to the roof. The Window boards had small multicoloured glitter on them which lit up with the weaker lights and made the room glow full of colour "That my students is the power of light. Your best friend in your time of need. Now I know we still have another 20 minutes but I'm cutting today's class short. You're dismissed until next week."

The students slowly crawled out of the room and Luz relaxed. That went much better than she thought it would. She would have to let Amity know at some point. But now she needed to prepare for the next class, and over the next week she repeated the process with every class from 3rd year up to the seventh. By the time the second week at Hogwarts arrived, Both she and the school were in complete rhythm and she felt like she could take on Belos once more.
