Chapter 49

Jeff was sitting in the nursery, cuddling his son and rocking him in the glider as he fed him his bottle. He was trying to take as many pictures as he could, memorize every single detail in case Jordan decided that she wanted to go home and see her family, in case he lost her completely. He kissed his son after he burped him and then he walked downstairs, carrying him in his arms. He saw Jordan sitting there, looking through some of their photo albums and clearly either trying to trigger a memory or she was trying to do whatever she could to keep him in her mind, in case she was really going to see those people, the very people that Jeff was worried was behind Jordan's being injured.

"Hey, he's all fed and happy." Jeff said softly as he walked over to her.

"You're an amazing dad." Jordan said with a smile as she reached up and took their son from him, cuddling him against her chest and she turned back to the pictures in the books in front of her. "We seem so happy together, always smiling."

"We have always been happy. We have our moments, just like any married couple, but we always work through it, together. Jordan, I am not going to tell you what to do, and I am not going to demand that if you do go back home that you leave our son here, but I hope that if you decide that going back there is what you need to do, that you won't let them get in your head to the point I won't ever get to see him again, or you." Jeff said, letting her know his worst fears. "It scares me that I might lose you forever, and I hate that thought."

"I don't want to go there. I was thinking, as much as it sucks that I can't remember my past or our love, I can see why I fell in love and married you. I can see this as a bad thing or a blessing. I have the chance to fall in love with my husband all over again, to see the things in you that I saw when I fell for you the first time. To see the things that made me want to have children with you." Jordan told him after a moment of silence. "I wasn't sure if I believed everything that everyone ever said to me about my family, until my mother called here and started saying different things that shocked me."

Jeff gently pulled her against his side and kissed her temple. He hated that her family was hurting her all over again. He didn't know why they didn't see this memory loss as a chance to start over, a chance to for them all to be a great family and to show their daughter that they could change and really be there for her and be supportive. Jeff wished that he could take away the hurt that he knew she had to be feeling deep inside, but he didn't see how that could even be possible. "I wish there was a way that I could make everything better for you. I wish I could make your family see that we are happy together, that I love you and our son more than anything in this world. I wish that I could make them see that there isn't anything I wouldn't do for you and that we belong together." Jeff said softly.

"I wish they could see that to." Jordan said softly as she smiled at the little boy she was cradling in her arms.

Jeff and Jordan both looked at the door when there was a knock on it, and he kissed her temple again and got up to answer the door. He arched an eyebrow when he saw his brother, Matt, standing there and it was clear something was wrong. Matt had a look on his face that told Jeff that he wasn't going to like what he was about to hear, and that made Jeff a little weary about whether Jordan should hear it or not, especially with everything going on.

"Hi Matt." Jordan said with a smile.

Matt had been spending as much time as he could, trying to help out Jeff and Jordan, telling Jordan stories that he knew about the two of them as a couple and even some stories about how Jeff was when they were apart and letting her know about how Jeff had been when she had been missing. Matt had really tried to be the support system that both of them needed and he was being an amazing uncle to his little nephew.

"I got a call from Vince, he says he wants the Hardyz back on tour right away. He is sorry that he has to pull you away when Jordan is so ill and needs you, but he can't keep trying to explain our absence. I offered to go back as a solo wrestler, even offered to be one of the bad guys, making it seem like I had turned on you or something, but he wouldn't hear of it, he wants us back immediately." Matt said softly.

"Well then the baby and I will come along." Jordan said with a soft smile.

"Are you sure you are ready for that?" Matt asked, his eyes widening as he saw that his sister in law really was trying to make sure that their family stayed together.

"I will never know unless I try, and you get days off every now and then, right?" Jordan asked, since she really couldn't remember how the WWE thing worked.

"Yes, we do." Jeff nodded his head, a smile forming on his face as he realized that his wife really didn't want them to be apart, she wanted them to be a real family and if that meant going on tour with a small baby, then she was willing to do it and that meant a lot to him.

"Then, I am sure everything will be just fine." Jordan said a smile on her face.

"We could rent a nice big RV, a really nice one to make it easier on everyone." Matt suggested as he studied the family and smiled at his young nephew. "We could get a portable crib for him and make sure everyone is comfortable. All we would have to do is either hire a driver or take turns driving, I honestly think hiring someone would be better. If you don't mind my girl coming with us, we could pretend it's a family road trip or something with Jeff and I doing some work in between stops. Who knows, we might actually get to stop and see some of the sights and go to places we might all like to see. I am sure there are some things you might want to check out along the way." Matt said softly as he looked at his sister in law with respect and admiration.

"I think that's a great idea, if it's all right with you." Jeff said as he looked at his wife and hoped she liked the idea.

"I also think it's a great idea. That way we aren't cramped on a plane with an infant and we aren't cramped in a small car with him, it might make traveling with him easier. We just need to make sure he will be safe and his car seat can strap in somewhere." Jordan said as she thought about it.

"Of course. Let me call Vince back and tell him we need to make some arrangements and that the Hardyz will be back soon." Matt said as he walked over and hugged his sister in law and kissed his nephews forehead. "I am so grateful you are home and a part of this family. You are a Hardy and we will always be there for you." Matt whispered to her.

She threw something at the pictures she had on the wall when she heard the news. She had pulled some strings and made sure that Matt and Jeff would have to go back on tour, and she had hoped it would give them the in they needed to get close to Jordan and her little one, but it didn't work. She wasn't sure why, even with no memory of anything, that Jordan would want to go on tour with a newborn baby boy and that man and his brother. She couldn't see in Jeff what her little girl would see in him. She saw that her husband was thinking hard and she hoped he was coming up with a new plan.

"I think it might be time to accept that Jeff hardy is our son in law and the man our daughter is in love with, the man she has chosen." He spoke softly as he looked at his wife and then looked at the rest of the family. "Jordan is happy, and to me that is what should be important. He has done everything he can to be there for her, he was even willing to let her come here to see us knowing how we feel about him and everything we have done, that should tell us something." He added, hoping he could make his point and that this would be over.

"I am sorry you feel that way, but I made myself clear, I want Jordan and I will marry your daughter. If you think that Jeff should see his son, maybe we can make it so he keeps that little brat but I will be the one your daughter ends up with." The man that had been chosen said as he got to his feet.

"Thomas, in the end we have to decide what we think is right and I think my daughter belongs with the man that loves and respects her." Jordan's father said as he got to his feet. "I will no longer support any plans to end her marriage, I will support her marriage. I want a chance to be there for my little girl and to meet my grandson. I am an old man, I am too tired to keep fighting something that obviously means a lot to her. I will be on her side and I will back whatever she decides." He added as he left the room, pulling out his cell phone as he left.

"I don't know how I feel." Jordan's mother said softly as she sat down.

"I know how I feel. I will marry your daughter and I will make sure she does whatever I want her to and whatever I need her to do." He said, his voice dropping and it was at that point that Jordan's mother finally saw the man she had thought she should set her daughter up with, a man that she could tell wasn't right at all for Jordan, a man that was dangerous.

"I don't think you are right for Jordan either." She spoke up, as she got to her feet. "I think it's time you leave this house." She stood her ground and Thomas headed over and stood in front of her.

"It doesn't work that way lady. I will do whatever I need to do, but in the end, Jordan will be mine and if you want to see your daughter ever, and any babies we might have, you better get back on board very soon." Thomas said before he slapped her across the face and left the house with everyone staring at the front door, in stunned silence.

"We may have just made a big mistake. We need to warn Jordan." She finally spoke up and she rushed to her husband and told him that they needed to warn Jordan about Thomas.

Thomas had known in the end that losing his temper with his future in laws had been a mistake. He would win them back over once he ended that sham of a marriage that Jordan was currently in. He wasn't sure what he was going to do about that little boy, but in the end whatever he decided, he knew Jordan would go along with, she would have no choice, he would see to it. He grinned as he stared at the pictures he had of the woman, his eyes lighting up as he thought about all the fun things they would get to do together. Now all he needed was a plan to get rid of her current husband, and if that meant death, than so be it, because he always got what he wanted, no matter what it took.
