Just a quick little update before the birthday party :) enjoy! Hope it makes you smile ;)

Regina silently stepped in to Henry's room and smiled when she laid eyes on the figure sprawled over his bed. He was on his stomach like a starfish except for that he had one arm straight up and the other bent under his pillow. She laughed ever so softly under her breath as she got down on her knees beside his bed. Her little prince was growing up. She was still not over the fact that she had missed half a year of his life but she supposed, in a way, the consequences were almost worth the action. She had, after all, gained more than she had lost when Henry fell through that portal.

But even still, every moment of his life was important to her and she had missed a great deal during his leave. There was nothing she could do to get those back and she was selfish when it came to sharing Henry. When she looked at him she could still see that tiny little infant who wouldn't stop crying until she relaxed. She loved him so much it hurt.

With a smile and a strong hit of nostalgia, she started running her fingers through his hair and pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead, "it's time to get up, sweetheart," she whispered and continued combing through his hair.

"M-no...ten...fifteen more minutes."

Regina laughed and shook her head, "I've already given you fifteen minutes extra. You need to get up for school."

"No I don't."

"Yes you do. It's your birthday," she smiled and he slowly blinked his eyes open with a deep breath before addressing her properly. Still sleepy but at least with proper english.

"But mom," he started and smiled when she rested her chin on her forearm on his bed with a patient motherly smile. One that promised she would listen to his proposal but would most likely deny it and make him do as she said. He always liked that smile. It made him happy, "I shouldn't have to go to school on my birthday. I should be able to do whatever I want and what I want is to stay in bed for just fifteen more minutes."

"Hmmm yes well what you feel you should be able to do and what you are able to do are two very different things," she smirked and he laughed, sleepy and gravelly.

"Alright well what about ten minutes and you lay down with me," he offered and she thought about it.

"Five minutes."

"Eight minutes."

"Six minutes."

"Seven minutes."

"Five minutes."

"What?! No, mom! We are supposed to agree on seven," he laughed and she laughed softly with him, "that's how it works."

"My highest was six and you denied it. So it's back to five," she shrugged with a smirk and a lazy blink.

"...six minutes?" He offered and she laughed.

"Nice try. It was a one time offer. Five minutes with me or off to school."

"Alright, alright, five minutes," he conceded and lifted up the side of his blanket as best he could so that she could join him.

Regina laughed again and kissed his forehead before she carefully slid in to his bed beside him and he eagerly nuzzled himself in to her chest. Once settled with his arms around her waist he let out a long sigh and she hummed tenderly as her fingers buried themselves in his hair again. "Happy birthday, Henry," she whispered and smiled when she felt him smile against her chest.

"Thanks mom."

...

"Come on, you're late," Regina hurried with a smile when Henry ran in to the kitchen out of the corner of her eye. "The queen made you breakfast," she informed him as she turned around to find him already shovelling scrambled eggs in to his mouth. But then he stopped dead at the knowledge of who made them and after a moment of pause, promptly opened his mouth and let the eggs fall back on to the plate, "Henry!"

"Am I gonna die?! On my birthday?! Mom-!"

"Oh you are not going to die!" The queen snapped with a scoff as she swatted his arm and the mayor rolled her eyes with a shake of her head.

"I have food poisoning! Salmonella! I'm going to die!" He cried out but couldn't help but start laughing with his words.

"What's going on in here?" The king chuckled curiously as he wandered in to the kitchen.

"David's still alive," the queen pointed out as she motioned toward him.

"...I am supposed to be dead?"

"You ate her scrambled eggs!" Henry laughed and David's brow rose a little as he looked to his wife.

"Huh. Well that would explain the churning stomach," he nodded and smirked at his wife who pursed her lips in an attempt to keep her grin at bay because she knew he was making it up.

"Mo-om!"

"I'm going to kill you," the queen nodded and David laughed and inched back from her just a little.

"Henry, the eggs are fine. David is just playing," the mayor told him with a light laugh and then stabbed her own fork in to his plate of eggs. Away from the ones he spat out. "See?" She showed him the fork and then put it in her mouth and pulled it out empty, "fine," she shrugged and Henry laughed.

"Look, now you've killed his mother. Way to go, Regina," David teased his wife and was answered with laughter from the mayor and a sharp snap of the tip of a dish towel against his ribs from his queen, "ow! Shit!" He yelped in surprise and pain and Henry let out a roar of laughter, "that hurts!" He laughed and put his hands up to try and catch her poised towel, "don't! Ow! Regina!" He laughed as she whipped the towel again and it stung his thigh. But before she could do it again he went at her and pulled his laughing queen in to his arms so she couldn't get away and didn't have room to snap him with the towel again.

...

He had gone there with every intention of setting up rules for them for Henry's party. But...well that hadn't happened yet. He had walked in on her dancing and singing to the music blasting through her kitchen as she worked. What he wasn't expecting when he walked in to the kitchen was for her to be feeling so completely and entirely carnal. It took her all of ten seconds to notice him and fling the dish towel around the back of his neck from her shoulder so she could tug him down and kiss him.

His amusement quickly faded in to an overwhelming lust of his own and she gave a good and desperate moan against his mouth when he let his heavy hands roam over her figure. It was passionate and fast and he was quickly hard. There was no escape from that fact with her relentlessly grinding her hips in to him. Her breaths were sharp, vocal, and hot and had his head spinning with arousal as he pulled at her clothes.

He had lifted her on to the counter with a careless motion and anything and everything in their way had crashed to the floor with various loud clangs and thuds but she was far too caught up in him to change anything. She simply kissed him harder and yanked at the towel still slung around the back of his neck so he had no choice but to accept her fierce kiss while her legs wrapped tightly around his hips and the music continued to blast around them.

And that was how he had ended up here. Watching as her perfect body arched off the cold granite countertop with a series of loud and throaty moans and screams while he buried his cock inside of her over and over again.

...

"You finally going to tell me what is going on with you?" Red sighed as she followed Snow in to a den of sorts in the bed and breakfast behind the diner. She carelessly closed the door behind her and flopped down on the couch while she watched Snow pace a few times in front of her before stiffly making herself sit down in the chair across from her.

Red was curious and completely clueless as to what was going on but she kept her mouth shut and waited with trying patience for Snow to speak. She had gone through countless scenarios in her head but none of them felt right to pair with Snow's behaviour as of late. Even with all of those countless scenarios, Red had not so much as pondered the topic that left Snow's mouth.

"David is having an affair."

"...what?" Red didn't think her eyes could get any bigger as she leaned forward ever so slightly in her seat. Snow could only nod for she was right on the verge of bursting in to tears but a nod was more than enough for an answer. "I-...what do you mean? Snow that can't be right. You're talking about David. David. He wouldn't do something like that. And who would he even have an affair with? You aren't speaking sense, Snow."

"But I am speaking sense!" Snow cried out and then drew in a shaky breath and let it out slowly to try and calm herself down enough to speak, "I have been trying to convince myself that it isn't happening but, Red, I can't ignore it anymore! I have run out of excuses to tell myself when I look at him and his mind is elsewhere! And the way he looks at her," she shook her head and let out a small and distressed cry, "I can't keep lying to myself, Red!"

"Snow," she cooed softly and leaned a little further forward, "who are you talking about?"

"Regina!" She cried and then let out a few quiet sobs in to her hands and Red remained silent, "David is having an affair with Regina."

Red shook her head in surprise and dismay. That couldn't be right. "That cannot be true. Snow, David loves you more than anything."

"He can barely be in the same room as me, Red! He hasn't touched me in weeks! He is miserable at home! Not that he's ever there because he is always at Regina's or at work! And when he is home he's quiet and prefers the dog's company over mine!"

"Snow-"

"He has already told me he loves her!"

"He did not say that-"

"He did! And every day he just slips further and further away!"

"Snow, just breathe for a second," she told her and Snow took deep hiccuping breaths through her tears to try and bring herself back from hysteria and when Red believed her to be calm enough, she asked, "what do you mean he said he loved her. The pair of them grew to be close friends over Henry's time in the other Enchanted Forest, perhaps you just misunderstood what he meant by love?"

"Red, I flat out asked him if loved her."

"What did he say."

"He said he didn't know," she breathed out miserably.

"He-"

"He didn't say 'no', Red. And he has never denied it when I accuse him of loving her. This has been going on long before Henry even returned. But now..." She shook her head and gave a stressed and miserable laugh as her tears rolled down her cheeks, "he had always told me he hadn't kissed her and wasn't sleeping with her but now he's dodging my questions or answering them with other questions and I've been letting him because I don't want to know that truth. I don't want him to tell me he is leaving me for Regina even though I know that that is what is happening. I have known for a long time..."

"Snow...why didn't you tell me? Why have you been keeping this so quiet?"

"Because I don't want it to be real," she whimpered and then sucked a shaky breath in through her teeth and covered her face with her hands and cried some more. She didn't feel any comfort when Red moved to sit with her on the chair and hold her close. But she did feel support. "I don't want to go to that house. I don't want to watch them together. I hate watching the queen," she cried miserably and Red held her tighter, "he is so much happier with her."

"You don't know for sure that he has left. Just talk to him after the party. You haven't seen anything yet."

"You can't even tell me it's not happening, can you."

With all the instances flooding her mind regarding the mayor and David? All the looks and smiles and touches that Red had dismissed as the close friendship she thought it to be? No. She could not. So she stayed silent and hugged her friend closer. She could kill David and the mayor later.

...

"What are your rules, babe," he nodded at her with a smile and she hummed as she rose on to her tip toes to look at the contents of her KitchenAid's bowl.

"You don't get your shirt back until I say so," she replied playfully and pulled her bottom lip between her teeth as she smiled over her shoulder, her eyes lingering on the expanse of his bare and chiselled chest, abdomen, and arms.

David grinned and breathed a laugh as she shrugged a shoulder with those teasing eyes before she looked back at the task at hand. Baking Henry's birthday cake. He stood with his lower back leaning against the island and his hands on either side of him lazily holding the edge of the countertop. He was only in his jeans and she had taken his shirt for herself and he didn't think he ever found her more sexy than right now. Bare foot in her kitchen with only his plaid shirt covering her bare figure.

"And later during Henry's party? What will be your rules then?" He chuckled and then tilted his head with a smirk as she rose higher on to her toes and balanced on one foot as she stretched her arm up to reach for an ingredient in the cupboard. He couldn't say what she was reaching for. His eyes were much more interested in the skin being revealed to him as the blue and white plaid lifted with her arm and the swell of her perfect ass just barely peeked out from beneath the fabric. Just enough to tease and make him smirk.

"Well...no sex for starters."

"Shame," he replied and then hummed in mild disappointment when she settled back in her flat feet and his shirt settled back down to cover her.

Regina laughed with a roll of her eyes, "no kissing either."

"Can that be up for debate."

"No."

"Too bad. It is," he decided for her and she shook her head with a quiet laugh.

"No eyeing one another over while daydreaming what it would be like to throw everything to hell and fuck one another in front of everyone."

"No promises."

"Keep it subtle then," she compromised and knew he was grinning behind her as she measured out the sugar. "Refrain from holding me and touching me. I may be your friend tonight but I may not be your mistress."

"Mistress sounds hot when you say it," he commented and she let out a quiet laugh with another shake of her head.

"Keep the nicknames to yourself."

"Hard. But fair."

"You wanted to revisit kissing me?" She smirked as she turned around before switching on the KitchenAid.

"I want ten kisses when no one's watching," he told her with his eyebrows raised and a playfully smug smile. He knew damn well she wasn't going to agree to that but he needed a high number so they could bargain to a number she would accept.

"Ten?" She nodded with raised brows as she folded her arms, "no. Three. Maybe."

"Nine."

"Three."

"Nine."

"...Four."

"Eight."

"Five."

"Eight."

"...Six."

David smirked with a quirk of his head for he was pretty sure that was about as high as he was getting. It was more than he had thought he would get in the first place, "six," he nodded and she hummed with a playful smirk, "and if we don't achieve all six," he started as he pushed himself up off the counter so he could walk up to her and settle his hands on the counter at either side of her, "I get to kiss you on Main Street in broad daylight," he raised the stakes a little and she grinned and rocked her head a little.

"Deal," she agreed and he grinned and she wondered if she was going to regret this. She didn't really linger on it though as he hummed and slowly snaked his arms around her so she was pressed against him.

"Anything else?" He inquired gently as he looked her straight in the eye and she paused for a moment before requesting softly.

"Don't kiss her."

David smiled softly and shook his head slowly as his eyes wandered her face that was now tainted with vulnerability. As his fingers lifted to tuck her hair behind her ear, he promised softly, "my lips are yours, my darling queen."
