Dragon Ball NA
Last time on NA: Most of the Saiyans, with Rugai's and Jeena's help, relocated them to their living homes, which they got accustomed to after six months. Later, Rugai took each of them to a seperate planet for their own singular training, then went to Devil's Triangle to continue his training. Can they win against the Were-Lygers? Stay tuned to Dragon Ball NA.
After nearly five years worth of training, Rugai grabbed everyone for a last day of resting at Qube Corp.. Kanashimi sat on the awning, legs and arms crossed, while tapping a finger on her upper arm. Bull presented the Saiyans with new battle armor from schematics he got from Darryn's memory banks. "Sir Bull, do you wish to know more from my travels 11 years ago?" Bull pulled out his tablet again, and quickly thumbed through the information.
"Got everything on the first try, gear head. Besides, the Saiyans' new battle armor is 50 times stronger than their usual ones they wear." Darryn stood there for a moment, then took his leave.
Rugai and the others sat in the large living room, only Rugai was playing with the kids. "Didn't know he was great with kids." Tenchu watched.
"Frist time for everything." Jeena looked back at him. "So... When are the Were-Lygers getting here?" Jeena looked back at the tv when...
"...as we celebrate this glorious moment, our king has..." the tv went static, then weird noises blurted strange noise. A few minutes passed, and War's face appeared on the screen.
"Greetings people of the Earth! I am War, supreme leader of the Were-Lygers! I have journeyed nearly 5 years from Lygeria, to challenge the strongest fighters on this planet!" Rugai got up, and watched the tv where he stood. "But do not fret..." the screen then split in half, to show a large arena, like two football stadiums put together. "This arena is open to the people who want to watch, and for those who are willing to participate. We obey the rules of sportsmanship, We do not kill, nor do we take any pleasure in doing so." A sense of relief washed over the Earth Fighters. "We, the Were-Lygers, will wait for another two weeks for this contest to happen. Vendors can set up their booths and sell merch and food, and keep the proceeds." The tv went static again, then went back to whatever was currently playing in that time slot.
"Didn't think fleece there would be so..." Kanashimi cut him off just as she entered through the window.
"Self centered in his so called 'sporting', is what you were going to say." Kanashimi stood in front of Rugai with her arms crossed. "How do we proceed...king?" It took nearly every fiber of her being to call Rugai king.
"Well..." Rugai held out his left hand, Ryu did the same, but produced a small energy ball between them. "I'm going to play with my kids, If you want to continue to train, i'm not going to stop you. But..." Rugai trailed off a bit once he saw Ryu go Super Saiyan. "Take this time to rest and heal, and enjoy this two week reprieve." Kanashimi got aggrivated, and took off towards Mt. Paos. The Saiyans went to their home and resume their normal lives. Rugai and his family, as well as Tenchu and his, went back to Snowvilla.
Two weeks later...
Bull touched down the transport vehicle on the reserved pad, then opened the side bay door. "Hate that friggin layover at the snow that never stops." Jeena and Deena smacked Bull's arms. "Whatever. Better win, I got bets on every one of you if you make it to one of those Lyger creatures." Kanashimi cracked her neck, then stared at him.
"They prefer to be called Were-Lygers. Fighting one of them in their transformed state, is not only an honor, but winning against them earned the victor much respect. Lord War is the only one who can control his transformed state, hence giving him the title to rule all of Lygeria." Few was shocked, the Saiyans (except Rugai) nodded. Ferno just looked at the stadium.
They continued their walk through the many stalls of food and merchendise stalls selling various items. The popular items in the merch stalls was 'I survived the Were-Lygers', and 'I heart fighting'.Rugai played babysitter, and took them to the kiddie games area, and watched them have fun.
"Is that the Saiyan king?" One of the Were-Lygers watched from one of the high windows.
"I'm jealous that Lord War is fighting him. Why doesn't he get one of his subjects to watch them?" The purple half-mane one had his arms crossed. "Does he think that by doing this act, he won't get some type of grilling from his subjects?" War then entered the room, and pushed hte two to either side.
"Idiots. There are only 7 Saiyans left in the universe. A king with low subjects like the Saiyans, has to do things like cub wrangling to maintain their superiority." War slightly raised his left eyebrow as Rugai turned his head at him.
A few hours passed, Rugai brought the cildren back to the group. They heard a computer generated announcement for fighters to proceed to the fighters entrance, while spectators area. The Earth Fighters bid their farewells to the rest. As the fighters got to their location, they were suprised to see a fair amount of martial artists just itching to test their mettel on the Were-Lygers. They took to one corner of the room, a couple of the Saiyans just watched how the humans deal in the waiting room. Deena's group got personally invited to the VIP room by one of War's aid.
Tensions in the fighters area was getting bad enough, with a few of them yelling to hurry up and start the contest. Kanashimi tapped her right arm with her left hand. Monitors turned on to the last of the spectators finished sitting down. "Ladies and gentlemen of Earth, as well as fighters from all over. The Were-Lygers have randomly picked people to fight one another. If you are lucky enough, you might fight one of the Were-Lygers in single combat." Most of everyone there wanted that chance, Rugai's group has the uneasy feeling that they would be the only ones to take them on. Meanwhile in the spectators section... "Ladies and gentlemen, you are about to witness in human history a contest like nothing you ever seen. Unlike previous tournaments you have seen, this is just a mere contest to strengthen a newfound relationship with our two species." Everyone was loving the idea of being friends with another race. Shortly after, a strange man in a business suit walked to the middle of the platform.
"Alright everyone! Welcome to the first ever contest! The rules are simple enough, like your world tournament, no killing or use of weapons other than those natural to your body will eliminate you from the contest! Ring out or knocking your opponent unconsious rewards you a win! If by any luck of the draw one contestant fights a Were-Lyger and wins, he or she will be rewarded with the option of having being served for an entire year!" All but one of the humans was enjoying the reward in the waiting room. Tenchu was the only one not impressed. "Our very own Lord of the Were-Lygers, War, will be participating! However, he has made a special request fight, and will happen as the very last match of the contest!" Rugai cracked a small smile, knowing he was the main match, and will be giving his all.
"Better not lose to him. Or I will kill you myself." Kanashimi wasted no time in reminding Rugai to win his match against War. The announcer announced Tenchu's name, and the Were-Lyger, Rekk. The humans' jaws dropped as Tenchu is taking on a Were-Lyger on the first match. Tenchu took his leave, and the monitors followed him to the ring, then the scene switched to the overhead view of them staring at each other.
"Right off the bat, your winner of your world tournament facing off against the second strongest of the Were-Lygers, Rekk! Who would be the winner of this match?! Fighters, take your stance!" Rekk just smiled and kept his arms crossed, while Tenchu took his in a serious matter. "And fight!" Rekk kept standing there, waiting for Tenchu to make the first move. Tenchu made many attack plans in his mind, but one made him think about making Rekk the first strike. Tenchu stood up straight, hands partially curled up, and powered up. Tenchu was covered in his new red like aura. From his training with King Kai in Otherworld, he learned new moves from him, much like Rugai did during his six year absense. Tenchu kept powering up, Rekk started twitching with anticipation. Most of the spectators was shocked to see Tenchu was doing. Few of them turned to the three monitors and saw the numbers on Tenchu's screen going up in a rapid pace. As it passed the 4 million mark, Tenchu stopped and returned his gaze at Rekk.
Rekk lowered his arms, and his smile widened a bit. "So...this is the power of the best human on Earth?" Rekk chuckled a bit, then powered up as well. Tenchu felt radiating waves of power flowing from Rekk, which made him felt uneasy. The spectators eyes widened a lot, and the few that looked at the monitors before, returned to it and saw Rekk's power surpassing the 6 million mark. As Rekk finished, he had his dark blue glow surrounding him. Tenchu wasn't surprised, in fact, since his days training with Rugai and with the other Saiyans, he was excited fighting a strong opponent.
"This fight will be great. Don't you think?" Tenchu smiled, Rekk smiled back. Then, both of them disappeared. The audience was shocked to see just the announcer in the ring. Rugai's group in the waiting room, was the only ones knowing what was going on. The announcer was trying to call what was going on, but couldn't follow at all. Tenchu and Rekk kept trading blows with one another. Rekk would open his hands to try and slash Tenchu anywhere on his body. When that didn't work, Rekk was the first to reappear in the ring, charging up his energy attack in his hands.
"Barrage of nightmares!" Rekk launched his attack, Tenchu dodged every one of the balls of energy, and landed just inches in front of Rekk, hands placed on Rekk's chest, and fired a Kamehameha point blank range. Rekk was thrown out of the ring, leaving Tenchu standing.
"Your winner, Tenchu!" The crowd was stunned at first, then cheered with much excitement. "Who would've known your champion could do amazing things!" The crowd kept cheering, Tenchu hopped off the ring, and headed towards Rekk.
"You have great moves there, would enjoy having sparring matches with you in the future." Tenchu extended his hand, Rekk grabbed it, and was helped to his feet.
"What great sportsmanship between these two amazing fighters! Lets give them another round of applause!" The crowed cheered more loudly this time. Sanfan was glad her husband won, and relief washed over her.
As the Were-Lygers' contest had the explosive opening between Tenchu and Rekk, Rugai's group couldn't relax in fear of the next match could result in one of them taking on another Were-Lyger. Can they survive the stress of waiting for their next matches? Find out next time, on Dragon Ball NA.
