Chapter 38:
TRIS POV:
Tobias's lips are soft against mine, fitting them together like two puzzle pieces. His hands move from my face to my waist, pulling me closer to his side as he twist his body so we can kiss sitting down. Even though my mind had just been on the terrible topic of Marcus, the love behind our kiss is not any less.
I swing one of my legs across his body so that I'm sitting on his lap, straddling him. My hands go to his neck, sliding behind his head so that my fingers lightly pull at his short hair. Our kiss becomes more heated as we both open our mouths, our tongues meeting. I attempt to scoot closer to him, but I end up just grinding my lower half against his, resulting in a deep groan escaping his lips.
I can feel the blush spread throughout my cheeks, but I ignore it as Tobias's lips leave mine and immediately fall onto my neck. I rest my body on his as he gently nibbles on a soft spot, causing me to sigh in pleasure.
I take his face in both my hands once again, pulling it back to mine so that I can kiss his lips. Once our lips meet, my hands run down his chest, finding their way to the hem of his shirt, carefully sliding themselves underneath. They run over his abs, gliding over every valley between each muscle, pleasure coursing through my body.
He grunts as I slide back up on his legs so that my whole front his touching his, then his hands find their way to the hem of my shirt. Just as his hands slip underneath my shirt, the door to the garage bursts open.
I jump off of Tobias, my heart racing in my chest as I try to fix my shirt and hair as fast as I can before my parents enter the room.
"Beatrice? Where are you?" I hear my mother call out from the hallway that leads to the living room.
"Um….I'm in the living room." I shout back, glancing at Tobias before throwing a blanket over both of us as we both sit up straight.
We pretend like we are watching the show that is on the tv, though it has since changed from the show I know to a new program that looks pretty stupid. When my parents enter the room, they take their shoes off and my dad goes into the kitchen while my mom plops down on the couch next to me.
"What are you guys watching?" She asks politely, glancing at the screen before looking back at me with a confused expression.
"Um….we're not sure, just turned it on. I guess we can go to my room and let you and dad relax if you want." I offer, but immediately regret it when I see Tobias's wide eyes, glancing down at himself before closing his eyes tightly.
I hear my mother's laugh ring out, chuckling as she looks between Tobias and I. Once she stops, her face still holds a wide smile, raising her eyebrows at me.
"I think you and Tobias should stay put, give him some time to settle down. Don't worry, I won't tell your father, but you might want to cover your neck." She states, gently poking the soft spot on my neck that Tobias's lips had touched just minutes ago.
I'm pretty sure my face reads one of complete and utter embarrassment because my mom starts to laugh at me. I turn my attention over at Tobias and see that his face is completely red and he's giving me a nervous expression.
I slap his chest before saying, "Thanks a lot."
My mom continues laughing as she gets up and walks to the kitchen to be with my dad. I keep looking at Tobias, unaware of what my face says, but Tobias chuckles a little.
"Sorry." He says, gently touching my neck, and I can tell he is totally not sorry.
"Yeah right." I laugh finally, finding the situation a little funny.
Tobias gives me a side smirk, before standing up from the couch and adjusting his pants, then reaching over to grab the remote. He turns on a show that features a lot of people getting hurt doing stupid things, causing everyone in the audience, including Tobias and I to chuckle. I scoot over to the edge of the couch, resting my left arm on the arm rest, leaning slightly on it. Tobias sits next to me, but soon enough he lays down across the couch, his head ending up in my lap.
I watch the show, but it's almost impossible to pay attention as I feel his eyes staring at me as I laugh. Glancing down every once in awhile, I'm meet with Tobias's deep, ocean blue eyes still looking up at me, his head resting gently on my thighs. Soon enough, the butterflies that swirl around in my stomach are enough for me to permanently look down at him and lock our eyes.
"Tobias, I told you that staring makes me nervous." I say, mentioning earlier in the hospital room when he stared at me with his mesmerizing eyes.
"And I told you that you are so beautiful that you should never be nervous. Plus, I just like it when you laugh….it feels like it has been forever since you have laughed as much as you have today." He told me, bringing his hand up to brush my hair off my shoulder.
I can feel the blood rush to my cheeks, causing a slight chuckle to burst from his soft, sweet lips. He smiles up at me, before finally turning his head to the screen, the back of his head now against my abdomen, him facing my knees. This time, I can't stop staring at him, the way his hair is just long enough to grab, and how his angled jawline fits his muscular build flawlessly.
Though it's hard to see his face from the angle I'm at, I can catch a glimpse of his deep set eyes, a midnight blue in color and long lashes that kiss the skin under his eyebrows. My eyes migrate to his lips, the way his mouth naturally curves down with a full lower lip and a spare upper. His hair is dark brown, almost black, and if he grew it out I'm sure it would be slightly wavy, possibly curley. Slowly my vision moves down to his strong and pronounced biceps, pecs and abs, every crevice and valley shown through his semi-tight shirt.
This man is godly in every way and form. I love him with all my being, and by some miracle, he loves me the same.
Not able to resist any further, my right hand rests itself on his hard abs, my left hand finding its way to his soft hair. Tobias grunts in approval as I brush his hair with my fingers, letting him relax his body.
Thirsty minutes pass, and by the way Tobias's chest slowly raises and falls at a steady rate, he has fallen asleep to my gentle touch. He looks so peaceful as he sleeps, his face not looking worn, allowing him to look more his age. I can feel a small grin spread across my face as I think about him and our future together.
Eventually I hear someone walking towards us, and as I turn around, my eyes find my mother's face as she finds a seat next to the couch Tobias and I occupy.
She gives me a soft smile before speaking, "Beatrice, I wanted to ask you a few questions…."
I nod my head in encouragement for her to ask me.
"Well, I know that you and Tobias are very close and have been dating for a while….I just….I want you to tell me if you are…." She trails off, seeming as though she can't find the right words.
"Are, what?" I question, furrowing my eyebrows together while my hand runs through Tobias's hair.
"Are sexually active…." She finally says, and my hand freezes, my face feeling like it just got one hundred degrees hotter, "Now, I just, I don't want to argue with you or tell you that you can't do that because I've learned enough about teenagers to know that no matter what, they will do it if they want, but I want to make sure you guys are safe. I realize that you two are in love and I totally support that, but, if you want, I can start bringing you to a doctor to be positive everything is completely safe. I want you to be safe and you need to make sure you take the right procau-"
"Mom!" I whisper yell, trying my hardest not to wake Tobias up to this awkward situation, but my mother needs to stop rambling, "Tobias and I haven't….we haven't….we aren't ready for that just yet. I mean, he might be, but he told me that he was fine with waiting till I was absolutely ready because I'm….not."
My mother raises her eyebrows at me, an unsure look crossing her face, "Sweety, I think that mark on your neck says other wise."
The heat in my cheeks only intensifies as I think about what she is telling me. Am I ready? I haven't thought about it in a long time….but I actually think I could be….
"Now, I'm not telling you that I want you to have sex, but I want to know if you do. I'm not going to punish you for wanting something that is part of the human nature, I just want you to be prepared and take the necessary precautions. I have a pill I've been saving for this purpose, that you can take if you want, just, please come tell me if you want to start to take it, because it does take a month to start working." She offers, starting to stand up from her seat.
I glance down at Tobias just as he adjusts his head in my lap, turning over so that he is facing my stomach. His handsome and god like features attract all my attention as I stare at him, his breath coming out of his slightly parted mouth, almost making a snoring sound. I smile to myself as I look at him.
I think I could be ready….plus, if I am, I still have to wait a month anyway. Tobias has been so kind to wait for me when, as proven today, he has struggled with his sexual attraction towards me….which in its own, is a miracle. How did I find him? How did I find a guy so worthy of all the joy in life, yet he stays with me while I cause him pain. He deserves better but, no matter how hard I try, I don't have to strength in me to let him go. He's mine, and I'm his.
My mother starts to walk away, leaving Tobias and I before I stop her, "Mom, wait."
She turns around and meets my gaze, raising her eyebrows in question.
"Can….can you get me that pill?" I hesitate, blush burning my cheeks while Tobias shifts in my lap once more.
"Of course, Beatrice. Just remember, you have to wait a month for it to start working." And with that, she leaves, walking off to her room to retrieve the pill.
Tobias moves his head again, turning his whole body with it, then doing the same thing, but so that he's facing the other way. Soon enough his eyes open, instantly meeting mine as I peer down at him. He glances at me before sitting up, taking his head off my lap, but still sitting close.
"Sorry," he begins, his voice rough and still under the effects of sleep, "I didn't mean to fall asleep."
He gives me a sheepish smile, and in the corner of my eye, I see my mother start to walk back into the room. Her head is down as she is studying the label on the birth control bottle, probably making sure it is indeed safe for me to take. I give Tobias a nervous smile, trying to figure out how to have him not understand what this pill is for.
"So, it says to take one pill at the same time daily and that it will prevent 91 to 99 percent of pre-"
"Mom!" I yell interrupting her as she glances up, her eyes meeting Tobias's confused ones.
"Oh, glad to see you have awaken, Tobias." She gives him a sweet smile, walking up to me and passing me the bottle of pills. "Just don't forget to take them at the same time everyday, or else it won't work, and I'm not so sure you are ready for a little one running around."
By the smirk on her face I can tell my mom purposely just gave away what the pill is going to prevent. Tobias's face speaks his surprise as he stares at me, ignoring my mother's goodbye. I tear my eyes from Tobias, blush filling my cheeks as I watch my mother walk out of the room.
My eyes refuse to meet his, looking everywhere around the room but at him, and eventually he puts a finger under my chin, pulling it so that I have to look at him. His eyebrows raise in question but I refuse to answer.
"Tris…?" He asks, "Are those what I think they are?"
"Well….I…..I just want to be prepared." I stutter, my face heating up even more, so much so that all I want in this moment is to look away from his amused eyes.
"You're ready?"
His eyes sparkle with anticipation of my next statement, as I know he's been waiting a long time for this. I don't think he really cares that my mother knows, I think Tobias is just anxious for my answer.
"Yes." I whisper, trying to avoid the awkward feeling that creeps through me, slowly leaving and being replaced with lust, "But this," I shake the bottle of pills in front of his face, "doesn't start working for another month."
"God, Tris….Is it weird to say that I can't wait?" He questions, his hands sliding into their natural spot on my cheeks.
"No…." I mutter staring intently into his eyes, "because I barely can, too."
So this chapter was filled with Fourtris fluff, because I know that we all love that. I hope I wrote it good enough, and the next chapter will be coming ASAP! By the way, Tris's mother is a nice person, and is the type of mom that wants to do whats best for her daughter, and that is why she wasn't totally against Tris having sex with Tobias because her mom is smart and knows that it would happen anyways 'cause let's be realistic, us teenagers do not listen to our parents. The next chapter (or the one after) will explain what happened to Caleb! Thank you for all of the follows, favorites, and reviews! Everyone of them makes my day. Please review! I love you all so much, and thank you for staying with me!
