Before you get started, listen to Read All About It by Emeli Sande during it. It adds to the effect.

Kuromaru looked at the men Mizuro approached him with.

"Please, Kuromaru-sama," Mizuro pleaded. "She's too dangerous to keep alive. She's too unpredictable now that madness has consumed her."

Kuromaru frowned and turned to the shackled pinkette being dragged along. They weren't making very good time.

He had to admit, her very presence had changed the moment she was overcome with insanity. No longer did she give off fear, but wicked indifference. Some times she was laughing and seemed to be off in another world. Others, her eyes were insanely focused on a specific person, driving fear and unease into their hearts. There didn't seem to be a pattern, only at random.

If she was just crazy, there wouldn't have been much to worry about.

But even Kuromaru had to admit, when she turns those intense emeralds on you, there was a split second where you could feel her peeling the skin off you layer by layer.

He could see why the men wanted to kill her and be done with it but he couldn't help but want to crack the secrets behind the icy glare. She didn't remember anything, yet how did she know to hate him? Maybe he'll try to go inside her mind again. He doesn't quite know what to expect from such a shattered mind but to him, it was worth the effort.

Smirking to himself, he looked up. Ruby clashed with emerald.

She had been watching him the whole time.

Shino's cry of pain was drowned out by Hinata's terrified scream.

The sword had sliced right through his wrist and imbedded deep into his shoulder. The pain blinded him for a moment as his head swam.

"Shino!" He heard Kiba bellow after him.

He wanted to call back but his vision was darkening. He was losing too much blood due to his missing hand. Everything was going numb. He didn't even feel it when he face planted into the hard ground.

There was still ninja coming into sight and Kiba felt the panic rising. Shino was down, bleeding to death and Hinata was too weak to even perform the most basic healing jutsu, barely holding onto consciousness.

Shit.

Was this it?

Swiftly moving to his fallen comrades, he went on the defensive. His eyes quickly took in his teammates. Hinata -despite her fatigue- had sliced her shorts into strips of fabric, using it to create a tourniquet as well as bandages for Shino's shoulder where the sword had cut into. She looked up at Kiba, tears swimming in her eyes.

It wasn't looking good. Shino was barely hanging on.

"I'm so sorry," she sobbed as she tried in vain to pull Shino closer to her.

He was deathly pale and much too heavy for the Hyuga.

Kiba's own eyes became wet as he eyed the enemy-nin around them.

This was it, wasn't it?

Before Kiba had the chance for a last stand off to the death, more ninja leapt from the bushes, ending his enemies as swift as the Yondaime himself.

When Kiba saw Naruto and the medical ninja being led by Tsunade herself, he tried to wipe his eyes but the tears wouldn't stop.

They were saved.

Tsunade got to work on Shino immediately as Naruto gently tended to his wife who sobbed into his arms. Jugo placed a comforting hand on Kiba's shoulder and the Inuzuka collapsed into his arms.

'Thank god,' was all he could think as he let exhaustion claim his consciousness.

The tears didn't stop, even while out cold.

When she had seen Lee intercept the weapon aimed at her, her eyes caught a subtle glint of steel and turned to see a kunai headed for Lee, having anticipated his move to protect her. Her body moved on instinct. Her mind blanked as she thought of saving her only other teammate.

When the kunai entered her chest, it tore into her lungs.

Her body took a moment to register the fact that there was a kunai lodged deep into her chest but when it finally caught up with her, it was because of the blood rapidly filling her lungs.

She felt herself falling and barely noted when she hit the ground.

"TENTEN!" She heard but all she could think about was the fact that she couldn't breathe.

She felt arms around her as Lee entered her field of vision after slaughtering the rest with renewed vigour. Blood was coming back up and she tried spitting it out and keeping her airways clear but it was pointless.

Lee held the brunette as she struggled. Her brown eyes were wide with fear.

"L-Lee!" She managed to choke out.

He didn't know what to do! There was nothing he could do! He wasn't a medic, hell, he couldn't even utilize chakra!

"I...can't...breathe!" Tenten gasped out.

Lee held her tighter and rocked her softly.

No, he couldn't save her life. He knew this as tears spilt down his cheeks. But the least he could do was ease her fear.

He shushed her soothingly and she looked up with wet, frightened, brown eyes.

"Look, Tenten," he murmured, easing her back to look up at the sky.

The sun was setting, painting the clouds purple, pink and orange. Tenten's gurgles and rasping died down as she stared up at the beautiful sky.

"L-Lee," she managed out, blood spilling down the sides of her mouth.

"I'm here," he whimpered.

Her hands that were clutching his jumpsuit eased but didn't let go.

Lee sobbed as he watched her eyes soften and become hazy as the light started to dim.

Her hand rubbed Lee's arm absentmindedly. Comfortingly. Her mouth opened to form one last word before death took her.

"Neji..." she murmured lovingly with her last breath and a small smile of wonderment.

Lee gasped as sorrow engulfed him.

Tenten's hand ceased its movement for now and forever.

As Lee clutched to the corpse of his teammate, he released out a cry of anguish amidst the blood and bodies of their enemies.

That was the scene Naruto and the others came upon.

Ino gasped as she felt her heart clench painfully.

She held a hand to her chest and tried taking deep breaths.

"Ino!"

She looked up in time, managing to dodge the deadly kick aimed at her head.

Fury filled the blonde as she whipped out a kunai and drove it into the leg that had lashed out at her before dragging it through the muscle, causing the man to scream.

One of her loved ones had died.

Ino attacked with more ferocity than Shikamaru or Choji had ever seen before. Her movements were faster, harder. Her hair lashed out around her as she spun and twirled around attacks and between her own offensive moves.

It was all their fault!

They kidnapped her best friend, doing god-knows-what to her and now they've killed one of her dear friends.

'I'll kill them all!'

That was the last thing the enemy-nin had seen.

A furious Yamanaka with a tearstained face as she ended their life.

Hi everyone...

I'm sorry, this chapter was really heavy on my heart.

I wasn't going to kill Tenten but I thought what if I did?

Then the idea stuck with me and it was decided...

I'm sorry for those of you who didn't want her to die.

I didn't either but it doesn't seem realistic if everyone survives and lives happily ever after.

But I have something for you to end this on a semi good note.

Everything was so bright.

Where was she?

Despite being lost, she felt so warm.

She looked around but there was nothing.

"Where the hell am I?" She wondered.

"Tenten."

The brunette spun around. What was once empty was now a grassy field, stretching as far as the eye could see. Clear blue skies dominated the world above her with fluffy white clouds passing rapidly overhead as if someone had fast forwarded the world. But despite this amazing phenomenon or the beautifully lush grass, it was the one and only tree in her sights that caught her attention. Or rather, the man standing beneath it dressed in an elegant, white yukata.

She was frozen to the spot, as a slight breeze caressed her long brown tresses that were free from their usual buns. She gingerly touched her brown locks, enjoying the feel of the wind around her.

The man slowly walked towards her, stepping out from under the shade of the large tree. Once he reached her, he stopped and took in her appearance as she did him.

"Neji," she whispered gently.

He reached for her, caressing her face affectionately. Tears fell from her large brown orbs as she leant into his touch.

"I've missed you," she whispered, her throat constricting with emotion.

Neji smiled at her tenderly.

"I've missed you, too."

He dropped his hand from her face, only to capture her hand.

"Shall we go?" He asked.

Tenten turned to look behind her.

"What about the others?" She questioned. "What about Sakura? Is she here?"

Neji's eyes turned regretful as he shook his head.

"No, she's still alive," he answered before tugging on her hand. "Come on. Where we are going, we can watch over them."

Tenten nodded and followed.

"If they die, can we come greet them?" She asked as she was led to the tree.

Neji smiled and nodded. "Of course we will but some of them have a lot of people waiting to greet them to the afterlife."

With that, the two stepped into the tree and into the light.

Together.

There, a little closure.

You can either take this as part of the story, or not.

Your choice.

Sarada is getting more and more bratty in my opinion but you know what I wanna see happen?

Sakura wakes up and senses Sarada is in danger and goes after her just as Sarada, Naruto and Chou Chou meet up with Sasuke.

Intense!

Sorry this one took me so long.

I let my brother borrow the laptop to burn some CD's.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter.

And cried.

...I did...

Till next time..

-Mee.
