LUCINA'S POV

Sometimes, Father was simply infuriating. I was releasing all my pent-up anger on the poor training dummies that were set up in the courtyard. They all fell one by one with either quick jabs to the chest or being cut in two with a side-slash.

"Not really fair to the dummies, hmm?" Robin said, walking into the courtyard. He had a bandaged nose and he kept curling the fingers on his left hand into fists. "Did he…?" Robin laughed. "Probably and yes." He said, smiling. I couldn't help but smile. "Since you're in one piece, I assume he- mmph!" I was abruptly cut off as Robin swept me into the air (in his slightly unsteady hands) and kissed me.

"I take that as a yes." I said, smoothing down the front of my tunic and trying to hide the redness in my face. Robin nodded like a fool. "Yes, it certainly does!" He said, smiling ear to ear. This should have been the happiest day of my life, but it was soon interrupted.

"Lucina! Robin!" Chrom barked from the entrance to the castle. "Y-yes Father?" I said, hoping my color had returned to normal. Chrom had a grim look on his face. "You both better come to the throne room." He said, and walked into the castle, his cloak billowing behind him.

I looked at Robin, who shrugged. "If this is a trick, he already has my nose and my fingers. What do I have to lose?" He said, still smiling. So, hand and hand, we walked to the throne room.

ROBIN'S POV

If there were a 'Realm's Worst Timing' award, I'd be making room for it on my mantle right now. "You're sure they're declaring war, Raimi?" I said, hoping that there was one slight chance the Valmese were simply coming to deliver love and joy to Ylisse and the surrounding countries.

Lucina elbowed me. "That's the fourth time you've asked, Robin." She hissed, but I could tell she was fighting back tears. Heck, I almost wanted to cry too. But I'm too manly for that. Oh dear, I think I left my dia- I mean journal open on my desk. I must remember to close that.

Raimi looked terrible, I will give her that. "So," Chrom said, putting a hand on Falchion. "How long do we have until the fleet reaches the harbor?" Raimi's face lit up. "Y-you'll help us milord?" She said, as if she didn't dare believe it. Chrom laughed. "Well, it would be pretty impressive if my double got this far!" he said, then glanced at the both of us. How paranoid.

"We have about a week until they arrive at the harbor. Plenty of time to evacuate; the process has already begun." Raimi said, curtsying as much as her armor allowed. Chrom nodded. "Then we should go to Ferox and let Basilio and Flavia know we'll help." He said as Sumia walked up. "But what about Lucina?" She said, holding what looked like a bundle of towels in her arms. "Mother! I can fight!" Lucina said indignantly, blood rising to her face.

"Oh no, Lucina. I meant your baby." Chrom paled. "LUCINA IS PREGANT? GODS HELP ME ROBIN!" Poor confused me. Chrom dashed over and grabbed me by the scruff and started shaking me. "HONEY, I MEANT OUR OWN CHILD!" Sumia yelled above the clamor that had broken out. Chrom let go of me. "Oh." He said, looking slightly embarrassed. "Right."

Lucina's brow furrowed. "You mean… I'm born?" She said, looking at Sumia quizzically. "Whoops." Sumia said, starting to back away. "Yes, you were born two weeks ago." Chrom said, glancing at Sumia. "We didn't want you to know." Lucina looked both hurt and confused. "W-why not?" Chrom's eyes widened. "NO DON'T MAKE HER GO ON THE-!" But, Sumia had already handed the bundle to a young woman and began to speak.

"You see, after I got over the initial shock and hurt I felt after realizing my daughter lied to me about having a suitor," Sumia began, glaring at Lucina. "I realized that a terrible chain of events could start if you realized you were born." Sumia stepped over to Chrom. "You could flee the castle thinking you are replaced, WHICH YOU ARE NOT!" She added sharply, wagging a finger. "Then, you would leave Robin behind, meet a broke brigand, and work in a bar for the rest of your life producing ugly brigand-grandchildren for me!" Sumia said, smiling like that all just made perfect sense.

Lucina sighed. "I don't intend on leaving Robin anytime soon, Mother." She said, and I felt a rush of happiness. "Oh what, you're not calling him Ro-Ro?" Chrom muttered under his breath. I sighed. "Shall we set off to Ferox?" I said, desperate to change the subject. Chrom nodded. "Rally the Ylisseans! Today we march for Ferox!"

Jack's Corner

Sorry, guys. I cut off your source of all-day fluffapaloozas. Anyways, the battle to save the continent has begun! I can write fighting again! Oh, and I apologize to the user who sent me a prompt. I'm actually really flattered someone thought I was that good of a writer that they trusted me to write for them. However, I'm really doing my own stuff at the moment. Maybe one day. And, no offense to anyone who writes these, I hate fanfics where people take a bunch of characters and put them into a high school setting. Ew. However, I am starting a Poke Fanfic! It should be up sometime next week. Adios!
