Chapter 27

Two bodies lay curled up to each other, the smaller stirring into wakefulness, rousing the larger form's eyelids to rise revealing golden orbs looking at the mop of black hair that sat on top of a dainty head. The large clawed hand drew her face up where they captured the other's lips, wrapping them into a warm embrace as silk pants caressed satin smooth thighs. The kiss grew in heat, silver locks whirled as the body they belonged to rolled on top.

Small hands gripped muscular broad shoulders as their lips parted and his knees spread apart her thighs, they came to wrap around his waist as the silk covered hips ground into moist folds. Moans spilled out as lips separated, hot wet kisses trailed down a slender neck and over the collar bone, short thrusts of pleasure followed as the clawed hand drew south and grasped the firm butt.

He groaned, his hormones making it hard to tamper down the fire he started. He ground his hard on across her slick folds, probing her entrance with the wet silk covered head. His sexual desire for the woman has been hard to keep to himself and now he had to get some relief and express his desire and love for her.

He carried on down her body, drawing breathy moans as he raised her to an apex, spilling her juices across the ground before his mouth eagerly lapped up what dribbled down her skin, holding down her hips as she jerked, and tried to buck her hips. His rumbles of approval ignited her nerves drawing her near another release.

Panting; slick sweat donned her body as it tingled, feeling muscles twitch. She could hardly remember what happened with Takeshi but the pleasure Touga drew out of her had been phenomenal and they hadn't even truly had sex. If her cheeks were not already flushed she would have been noticeably blushing at her thoughts.

The depressed thoughts from before were gone as her mind wrapped around the ruggedly handsome demon she has been sporting feelings for. She could feel the caresses and kneading as he relaxed her muscles and kissed her skin. It was hard to think he wanted her like she did him but his consideration towards how she might be feeling did not go unnoticed. She had truly missed him and his company; they had spent a lot of time together before she was taken away from him. It just confused her, she was claimed by another demon yet it hasn't stopped him from keeping her. At this point she wasn't entirely certain if she wanted the answer or would like it but he must have something up his sleeve, at least she hoped.

He pulled her into his embrace before taking off his boots and going into the hot spring. He nuzzled her neck on the opposite side of that mark, his fangs grazing her skin in desire to claim her. He may not have been promised that she would be his but he could feel it in him that it was meant to be, that she was meant to be with him and be in love with one another. He could not spare anymore time, Takeshi will be healed soon or is already on his way to finish what he started.

He could hear her stomach's protests over the course of the days that they have been in the cave but try as he might, he couldn't find any sustenance for either of them. He wanted to get back to the palace, with more control over his actions and maybe a way to cover the scent he could get them there and have her fed.

He thought of the petite woman sitting in his lap. As he thought over their small interactions in the last few days he knew without a doubt that she was deeply upset, he could smell it on her and it made it worse for him. He needs to tend to all aspects of her, she will need someone to trust and talk with, and right now he is the only option she has. It would take some coaxing he was sure but if he could get her talking to him then he could distract her for at least a little while.

"Kagome," she stirred in his lap, having her attention he continued on. "I haven't been able to find any sustenance nearby; we will have to leave soon."

He watched her nod but she didn't comment or even sound like she would say anything at all. He could tell she had darker thoughts lingering in her head; he could read it in her aura and smell it easily. "Sesshoumaru is thankful that you got Rin out, she was very concerned about you I could tell. She had actually given him a hard time about leaving without you, even screamed; you mean a lot to her."

"Sesshoumaru wasn't happy when I attempted to strangle him and the Eastern Lord to death after finding out that you managed to get taken away when I could smell just how close you had come to the barrier. I doubt you know it but I had been near the castle, I had battled that filth after he took you the first time. He had another demon aiding him, playing a tune that lulled most of the castle to sleep but with you it had you walk right out from under the barrier. It wasn't until the tune faded away that I found you gone and tracked you all the way to that castle." He briefly reflected on that time, knowing the enemy had taken her right out from under their noses.

"I almost had him decapitated the first time. The second time I had felt his aura from here and went to investigate," he chuckled to himself, "you had escaped and I wasn't about to let him catch up to you so quickly. I purposely drawn out the battle and made it hard for him to leave, even creating a barrier." He smiled ruefully at the anger in his enemy, now he just craved to slaughter his hide.

"He may have escaped after calling up those beasts of his to attack but by then I knew you had a good head start and he would need to rest and lick his wounds eventually, after all I tend to use acid on those I despise," he chuckled darkly, acid fit his tastes well when it came to torturing his victims. He could feel her shift in his lap, reading her surprise.

"You did all that for me?" She was slightly stunned but then again she still wondered why he was still here. "Touga, I'm sure you know what happened, I honestly have no desire to return to the Western palace," she stated softly. "I don't understand why you are still here, I mean-"

"Yes, I would like to know the answer to that as well," the unmistakable voice came from above, the barrier he had was dropped and Kagome trembled in front of him before a flash of pain went through the mark, spreading out. She would have fallen under the surface of the water if it wasn't for the steel grip Touga had on her. His thundering growls filled the space and she could feel and see his aura ignite in fury.

"Don't you dog's know not to go treading on someone else's property or do you all just seek to mark any territory in your stench?" He already noticed she is naked but with the steam of the hot springs getting in the way he couldn't tell if the dog had tried fighting his mark with one of his own.

"Hand over my mate dog and I won't tear your body apart in front of her," his purple eyes swirled with red for a few seconds as he noticed her slightly swollen lips and the scent of her cum on the ground. "So the dog dared to taste what is mine, I will rip his tongue out," he growled to himself before dropping from the air in a dive to grab her from his grip.

Touga launched them out of the springs; splashes and waves drenched the surrounding ground. By the time Takeshi had launched himself out of the springs he had grabbed the kimono and jumped over to the tree by the entrance of the cave. It held his haori and pelt, he ushered her inside the cave, blocking Takeshi's view of her as she ran in, holding the kimono to her until she was a safe distance away and able to slip it on. Touga remained outside; he only wore his hakamas as he battled Takeshi to keep him from taking her.

Takeshi was stronger and faster in his strikes and attacks. The purple aura around him visible as his eyes shone an angry red. He pushed the battle away from the cave and he could tell the other demon was letting him. Neither apparently desired for Kagome to get caught up in their battle by an attack that could cause a cave in. Insults were tossed back and forth between the two demons until their heated blood caught up to them, both sets of eyes glowing red, hungry for the other's blood.

In the cave Kagome noticed his armor for the first time and tried to drag it outside by his other belongings. She grunted and pulled making tracks in the dirt of the cave, the heavy armor a testament to how strong he is. She gave a tug again and lost her grip, falling on to her bottom.

After rubbing her hands on her kimono she grabbed the armor again and finished pulling it out of the cave. She noticed his boots were over by the water and quickly ran to retrieve them, placing them next to the armor and finally focusing on the battle at hand as she held her kimono closed. She knew he needed his armor for the battle; he was already sporting a few gashes from Takeshi's sword.

Coming to a quick decision she decided to try something she had yet to do in battle. Gathering her power she held her hand out forming a small rectangular shield the size of her thumb nail. She waited until they got closer, pulling her arm back. As soon as they cleared the trees and Touga was out of the way she had a clear shot at Takeshi, she threw the shield at him, barely noticeable at first until it grew to half his size, hitting him right in the torso, sending his body crashing through the forest burning from the purification.

Touga looked at her and realized she had gathered up his stuff. Without wasting another second he donned his boots and haori. His sash was draped on the armor making it easy to grab after he finishes. He finished securing his spiked pauldron after donning his pelt, at that point he could see Takeshi return, his eyes narrowed on them. Slipping on his vambraces and armored gauntlets, he was fully dressed for battle minus his lack in having a sword, something he had to be able to fix.

Takeshi was definitely seething; he decided to ignite the demon further by forming a quick barrier so he could pull Kagome in his arms and kiss her. She was dazed by his kiss as he quickly swept her up and strode back into the cave, not breaking it until she was steady on her feet. With a quick peck on the lips he leapt outside meeting Takeshi head on. Kagome touched her lips with a ghosting of her fingers, her mind preoccupied as she wondered just how deep his feelings ran once again.

She felt torn; she still didn't want to return to the palace, scared of how she would be received by the people and demons there. She is now the mate to this demon if his claim was true and she believed it is. What could she do? If she left would that buy them time or would that make it worse? She felt so lost.

The demon seemed to be set on having her by his side as he ruled over everyone. She wasn't suicidal and it could be bad with the jewel still in existence so that was out of the question. If she disappeared they might have a better chance at defeating him. The battles lately have been over her and others like Rin could get swept up in it again. That scroll must have been what they needed to level out the playing field, with her disappearance it would have Takeshi focused on finding her rather than attacking them.

She hated to do this but with them fighting so far away now it would be easy for her to take off now. Finding a stick in the glowing embers of the fire pit she scribbled a note for Touga in the dirt so he would understand that left of her own free will.

Looking in the dark cave she wondered how far it went, she figured it would be harder for them to sense her if she could make her departure this way. Looking back at the fire she worked on bringing it back to life and making a torch to help light her way. A few minutes later she was walking deeper into the cave, finding it did go much further and deeper.

Not long after she could no longer feel them did she pick up her pace, taking up a light jog as she went through the tunnel. She had to rest more often than she used to, cramping in her side, and feeling more fatigued than she used to. The cave was becoming moist she noticed, it was already damp but her feet were almost muddy from the moisture on the loose dirt of the floor.

She kept her pace at a brisk walk as she wound around bends, careful to not let her torch die on her. The drips of water she could hear as the cave became slicker with water were growing in number the further she went. She could hear something but it was too hard to discern.

Her hopes in finding the exit to this tunnel magnified the further she went. She has been long gone from the other opening of the cave, the two demons were quite likely finished battling but then again she wasn't sure. Either way one or both of them could be chasing her down at this point.

She could hear the roaring water ahead and picked up speed, eager to see what was around the next bend. She came around it and slid in the mud along the water and was unable to stop. Her torch went flying out of her grasp, landing in the dirt before dying out as she slipped into the roaring waters and dragged under for several moments.

Gasping for air as she surfaced it was knocked back out of her as she hit a boulder. Before she could try and get a grasp on the slippery rock she was dragged away as the thundering rapids roared in her ears. She didn't even have time to regret her decision or think her death would be better; all she could do was try to keep air in her lungs.

The natural instinct to survive and fight for her life had kicked into full gear. She tried her best to see what was coming up and propelled herself to different boulders or even to the shore but the current was just too strong. It clung to her pulling her down like the minions of Hell.

The river dipped and twisted, eventually she noticed the end of the tunnel as she continued to be jerked this way and that, often plunging under the water thinking, 'this is it,' when she couldn't get her legs pumping hard enough. Then the current would push her back to the surface like some bad version of a dunking game.

She didn't see the boulder that her body was currently in a crash course with, it knocked her hard, jarring her shoulder, and hitting her head hard enough that she dragged back under again. When her instincts kicked back in she fought hard, pumping her legs and drawing her arms outwardly to help push her to the surface. She was just starting to choke on water when she broke to the surface again; the thundering seemed louder as the river continuously dipped and took tight curves.

She was at the top of another drop, this one bigger when she realized the sky was above her and she could see the layout of the land stretched out before her. Then it suddenly occurred to her why she could see it all. The current disappeared under her feet and she was left screaming as she descended down the waterfall before smacking into the river's current.

It pushed her back up and she gained some more breath before she realized she was about to descend another waterfall, this one thankfully smaller. The layout of the land was still before her, the thundering and roaring rapids grew quieter as she drew near a third one. It was a snap decision but instead of being a screaming ball of flesh she would attempt to cut through the water with a dive. Her heart dropped as she drew closer to the waves before her, hoping she will miss any rocks disguised by the turbulent waters before.

The impact jarred her whole body; she couldn't really recall swimming back to the surface as black dots danced before eyes. Her vision swam with her body in shock, not able to process that she is still being carried away by the current made by the waterfalls. Her breathing was even barely registered as her head lulled back her body floating as she drifted further away, forgetting why she did this in the first place, not even the light throb in her neck registered with her brain.

She way just there, lying face up in the water towards the starry sky, the black steadily taking out the stars in her vision and the midnight blue sky. Her lids dropped and she was out, her body too weak of hunger, too weak from her powers fighting that mark, and after a long struggle for survival it caved under the pressure as she fell into total blackness, an oblivion the likes of which she has never seen before.
