I'm just still so fucking pissed so I'm just letting you all know what you missed...

Gah FUCK!

The darkness warped into a forest, as Kakashi and Sakura walked through it, followed by the man they were to escort, Hajima Boki.

A relatively simple mission, especially since Tsunade said Sakura was unable to use her chakra properly because the Saisen had been started, consuming a majority of her chakra to the point of constant exhaustion.

But Sakura was almost fourteen and she had not yet made her first kill.

That was why they were here, unbeknownst to Sakura. Tsunade felt it was time Sakura's hands were tainted.

He hated these missions. He'd only been with one other person when they made their first kill and that person damn near killed themselves afterwards.

But this wasn't just anyone.

It was Sakura, his former student.

Looking at her, she had grown some but she'd never let her hair grow out.

"Sakura-chan," he called.

"Hm?"

"Why haven't you grown your hair out? I thought you loved long hair."

Sakura gingerly touched her hair.

"I loved having long hair because there was a rumour Sasuke-kun liked girls with long hair."

"Ah."

Sakura sighed as she ran her hand through her hair.

"But the Forest of Death proved just how much my vanity costed me strength wise. I was weaker than the average kunoichi my age because of my conceitedness. So as my hair grew out, I'd cut it back. Its only long enough for me to tie it back for when I need it out of my face."

She smiled and looked up at Kakashi.

"I like to think that with the hair I lost, I lost the old me."

Kakashi placed a hand on her hair and ruffled it.

"We've gone company," he said, his eyes closing in delight.

Sakura's eyes widened slightly. Nothing he couldn't handle but this wasn't for him. It was for her.

Suddenly, four men jumped out. Kakashi led their charge and three of them with him while he left Sakura one of them.

Easily, he did away with the men that came for him and so he and Boki hid in the bush, watching as Sakura evaded Boki's sword.

"Shouldn't you help her?" Boki questioned.

Kakashi shook his head. "No, this is for Sakura."

Boki seemed to understand as he turned back to the fight.

Kakashi could see Sakura was already exhausted with the limited chakra she possessed and almost moved to help her when he saw the man's opening. He hesitated long enough for Sakura to take it, delivering a punch to his stomach, winding him. When he reflectively bent forward, Sakura followed through with a punch to his stomach. He stumbled back and landed on his back, jaw broken and probably a ruptured organ.

"Please don't kill me!" He begged as he tried to crawl backwards, away from Sakura.

"Who sent you?" Sakura snapped.

"K-Kishimoto!"

"Why is he targeting Hajima Boki?"

"For the bounty on his head? I don't know!"

Sakura looked around, not knowing what to do.

"W-Will you let me go?"

The look on Sakura's face was conflicted. Kakashi stepped out with Boki.

"Good job, Sakura-chan. His men have given me the information we need so he's of no use to us now," he told her. "Kill him."

Sakura looked at him with raging emotions.

"K-Kill him?"

"You wish to let him live?" He drawled.

"W-Well..."

"What's shinobi rule 221?"

"B-But Kakashi-sensei, he can't hurt anyone now!"

"What is the rule, Sakura?" Kakashi asked forcefully.

Sakura recoiled as if she'd just been slapped.

"A-Any enemy that comes between a mission and it's completion is to be eliminated, eradicating possible compromise and loose ends."

With that in mind, Sakura pulled out a kunai and moved to the man.

It was harsh, forcing her to kill the man in cold blood after the adrenalin of their attack wore off. But it would harden her more than if she were consumed by the heat of battle.

It was for her own good.

"P-Please!" The man begged.

Sakura straddled his waist to prevent his movement.

"I'm so sorry," Sakura spoke to him.

She quickly dragged the kunai across his neck, blood spurting up and onto her hands. Kakashi watched as she didn't move, her eyes focused on his eyes and the blood. Once the man's gurgling came to an end, Sakura stood up and moved away from the body. She looked at Kakashi, her eyes swimming with disgust and fear.

"K-Kaka-sensei," she stuttered out.

He wanted to comfort her but she needed to learn. He wasn't around to teach her much, no fault of hers, but he could teach her this lesson.

"There is a river nearby," he answered, distantly.

Sakura walked to him but he turned in the direction of the river and started walking. He heard her stop for a few moments before following.

"That was rather cold, don't you think?" Boki asked.

"I don't see how it's any business of yours," Kakashi spoke, giving him a smile behind his mask.

Creeped out, Boki kept his mouth shut after that. Once they reached the river, he watched Sakura walk to the water and start washing her hands. She scrubbed hard at the blood before she soon just sat there, staring off into the distance.

Knowing that she had indeed learnt her lesson, Kakashi moved to comfort her. He took a seat beside her.

"I'm sorry I had to make you do that. Tsunade-sama told me you hadn't yet made your first kill and that it was time you did."

"You...no, it's okay," Sakura replied. "It had to be done."

"What are you thinking right now?"

"I...can't," she spoke as tears came to her eyes. "I don't want to talk about it."

"The first time killing is the hardest. It gets easier."

"You don't understand," Sakura spoke, looking at him. "I didn't...It's not..."

"Sakura?" Kakashi asked, concerned.

"I enjoyed it," Sakura spat as the tears began to fall.

"Sakura, you-"

"I'm a monster!" She cried. "I enjoyed ending his life! How could I enjoy something so...brutal?!"

She threw herself into his chest and cried. Kakashi held his hands up, unsure before he finally rested them on her back and rubbed it soothingly.

"Come now, Sakura-chan. It'll be okay."

"I-I kept thinking t-that with his death, that means I get to keep living. That his life meant I was stronger than one more person, as if he was nothing but a-a milestone. How could I be so vile!?"

So that's it.

Kakashi moved Sakura so that she could see him. "There is nothing wrong with how you feel, Sakura. You didn't enjoy killing him for the sake of killing him. You enjoyed killing because you could live. This is a world where it's the survival of the fittest and you proved that you were fitter than him. Do you think he would have shed these tears if he had killed you instead?"

"N-No but-"

"Than waste none on him. We are ninja. We are trained to kill. You grieve that you had to kill him, that means you're not a monster. This world is a harsh one and if you don't adjust, you will die. Do you understand?"

Slowly, Sakura nodded and wiped her tears.

"It helps if you have a hobby, takes your mind off things. Small things might bring you piece."

He removed his cloves and offered them to her.

"What-"

"You've rubbed your hands raw and you don't have enough chakra to heal them. This should protect them for now."

Sakura took the gloves and pulled them on. She looked so strange, his gloves were massive on her but he could see they brought her piece of mind.

'Thank you, Kaka-sensei,' Sakura's thoughts sounded. 'When we returned home, I bought myself some leather gloves and took up yoga, a hobby that's beneficial to my kunoichi lifestyle. My gloves became a source of protection. When I wore them, I was a killer but without them, I was a healer. It helped me to balance the good and bad within me but it wouldn't have been possible if it weren't for you.'

As the memory faded, the glass floor extended and Ino started walking again. Once she reached the end, she turned to Sasuke.

"Are you ready?"

He nodded.

The darkness shifted again to a bright sunny day, blooming Sakura blossoms with loose petals fluttering about in the breeze by a large white building.

He was remembering their wedding day.

How did you like it?

I thought it would be a cool reason as to why she wore gloves and I wanted her to have that inner conflict where we enjoy something, even though it was bad because she was always shown to be morally correct.

I feel like this was the first step of her accepting herself, causing Inner to make less and less appearances.

Seems valid though, right?

Yes, I did read Chapter 6 in Gaiden and the next one comes out tomorrow!

FUCK YEAH SAKURA! Called it again, that that was how she'd meet up with Sasuke.

Boo yah.

But then she gets kidnapped?

Fuck that weird Jyubi thing. What a dick xD

I liked it!

Alright, review guys.

P.S. Someone asked why Sarada isn't there in Sakura's mind.

What adult would willingly let a 12 year old go into their mother's mind, knowing that she would probably bare witness to her own mothers rape.

I might be sick but I'm not so sick as to let Sarada be unnecessarily tainted like that.

P.S.S Posting a weblink isn't working.

So just google 'Sakura Hiden translation'

It's from the reddit website.
