Everyone stared at the pinkette who sat up, tense.
"Where am I? W-Who are you people?"
"You don't remember me, Sakura?" Ino asked tentatively. "I'm your best friend, Yamanaka Ino."
Sakura slowly shook her head.
"Don't forget about me!" Naruto exclaimed with a large smile. "I'm Uzumaki Naruto. We're really close, like brother and sister!"
Then he gave Sasuke a shove.
"And this bastard here -Sasuke- is your husband!"
Sakura's eyes widened as she stared at Sasuke.
"Dobe," Sasuke hissed angrily.
"M-My husband?" She managed to squeak out.
"And together you have two sons and a daughter!" The blonde continued.
"Wha-..." Promptly, the pinkette fainted.
"Sakura-chan!"
Ino checked her over quickly before sighing.
"It's okay, she just fainted."
Sasuke turned on Naruto with a solid punch to his arm.
"Ow! TEME!"
"Are you brain dead?" Sasuke snapped. "She doesn't remember anything and her mind is still fragile and you want to go blurting out that she's married with children!?"
"O-Oh...I hadn't thought of that."
The Uchiha was tempted to cross him arms. "Clearly."
But Uchiha's don't cross their arms in a tantrum.
"It's fine," Ino murmured, holding a hand to her head, leaning on Shikamaru and Choji when they offered themselves as crutches. "We all know Naruto's an idiot."
"Hey!"
"But it was best she knew now instead of later. Hopefully she remembers something while she's out."
"So what now?" Kiba asked.
"She seems stable enough to move from her room but we should keep her there for a while for observation."
"You make her sound like an animal on display," Sasuke grunted.
"You know what I meant."
Sasuke slipped his arms under his wife and carefully lifted her, cradling her.
"I'll let you all know when I'm ready to start again in a couple days."
Sasuke nodded and left the room, carrying his wife bridal-style.
When her eyes fluttered open again, she was in a white room.
She looked around, taking in her surroundings before there was a knock on the door. She watched as the man who was apparently her 'husband' entered with a tray of food.
"How long have I been out?"
"Only a couple of hours," he replied as he placed the food on the table.
Sakura watched him and he watched her back.
"Where am I? Am I a prisoner?"
"You're in Konoha and no, you're not a prisoner."
She sat up straighter. "I'm in Konoha?" She asked.
"You remember Konoha?"
Sakura nodded.
"Who is Hokage?"
"Tsu...nade?" She finished uncertainly before she grabbed her head in pain.
Sasuke moved to her but she held a hand out to stop him.
"D-Don't come near me."
"Sakura, you're not well. You should eat something and then get some more rest."
"I'm f-"
A knock on the door interrupted them, causing the two to look over at it. Slowly, a cautious Sarada poked her head in, eyes closed.
"P-Papa? Is it safe to open my eyes?"
"Papa?" Sakura asked before her eyes widened. "I-Is this..."
Sasuke nodded to her before looking back at Sarada. "It's okay, Sarada. You can open your eyes."
Ruby orbs fluttered into view and Sakura felt her breath hitch. Sarada slowly walked over to Sasuke who stood by Sakura's bed. Sakura's eyes never left Sarada's.
"I'm Sarada, your daughter," she spoke.
Sakura reached out to touch her but hesitated.
"Are you...are you really my child?"
Sarada grasped Sakura's hand and brought it to her cheek as she stared into her mothers eyes. Tears blurred her vision as she failed to spot any form of recognition in Sakura's eyes. Sarada nodded and the tears slipped down her cheeks.
"M-Mama," she sobbed, clutching to Sakura's hand. "I-I'm so glad you're safe and home."
Sakura pulled her hand back but Sarada refused to let go. It was fine with Sakura because as Sarada stumbled forward a little, Sakura could now reach her other hand out to her. Tenderly, she wiped away the tears of her daughter who only cried harder.
"It's okay, Sarada. M-Mama's here."
Sarada sobbed aloud as she threw herself into Sakura who instinctively wrapped her arms around the trembling child. One arm wrapped around Sarada's back which the other pressed her head into the crook of her neck. Sakura leant her cheek on the top of Sarada's head and whispered soothing words that felt foreign and yet so natural to her.
Could this really be her daughter?
"Uzumaki-san said I had two sons. Will I get to see them too?" Sakura asked once Sarada had fallen asleep crying into her chest.
Sasuke nodded. "Your parents are watching over them. They will be here soon, if that makes you feel better."
"I remember them," Sakura spoke. "Haruno Kizashi and Mebuki. I remember my parents. But I don't understand. Why don't I remember anything else?"
Sasuke walked over and manoeuvred Sarada so that she was laying beside Sakura. She never took her eyes off the child, still in awe at how beautiful her daughter turned out to be. Sasuke took a seat on her bed by her side.
"What happened to me?" Sakura spoke softly.
"You were attacked when you were pregnant with Natsu and Itaru. You were weakened by that stage and trying to protect Sarada and Bolt, Naruto's son. They took you and you were missing for several months."
"Was it a random attack or was I specifically targeted?" The pinkette asked.
"Specifically targeted because of your connection to me."
"Because I'm your...wife?"
He nodded.
"I did a lot of bad things when I was younger and my clan wasn't as...noble as I'd liked them to be. Kuromaru -your kidnapper- hated my clan and in turn, me. He knew he couldn't take me on directly and so he went for my weakness. You and Sarada."
"Where were you when this happened?"
Sasuke allowed himself to look away. "I was wandering around the world when Kuromaru made himself known to me. He gave me Sarada's glasses as a taunt and I went hunting for him. Nothing I did worked because he had a special ability that allowed him to switch in and out of intangibility. I went back to Konoha to tell Naruto, who is the current Hokage, of the threat-"
"Did you know I was pregnant?" Sakura asked.
"I-...no."
"Why didn't I tell you?"
Sasuke remained silent.
"Sasuke?" She asked, using the name Naruto had given to him before she had fainted.
"I wasn't there for you to tell me."
"What do you mean?"
"After I told Naruto about Kuromaru, I left. I sensed you two still in the village and left again."
"You...you left?"
"Yes."
"When you knew someone was after our daughter?"
"Yes."
He looked at her but she wouldn't look at him.
"Sakura," he spoke, placing his hand on her shoulder but she shrugged him off.
He watched her for a moment longer before he stood and left. Sakura laid back down and cuddled up to Sarada. Her thoughts were a whirlwind inside her mind until she finally drifted off to sleep.
"-kura? Sakura, honey, wake up."
"Mama?"
Sakura's eyes cracked open to see her mother standing over her with Sarada at her side.
"Kaa-san?" Sakura questioned as she rubbed her eyes.
"That's right, darling."
She slowly sat up and Mebuki offered her a bowl of sliced apples. Sakura stared at it for a moment as flashes of a hospital room appeared before her eyes. The memory played almost too fast for her to take in but it seemed to move in slow motion as Sasuke knocked the bowl away and turned angry red eyes on her.
Silently, Sakura munched on the apples despite the migraine that was beginning to manifest.
The door opened again.
"Is she awake yet, Buki-chan?"
Sakura looked over to see her father was the one who entered, holding two babies. Sakura felt all the breath leave her.
Sarada smiled at her mother happily as Kizashi moved closer.
"Welcome to the land of the living, Sleeping Beauty," he laughed as he kissed her forehead.
"Tou-san," she murmured, her eyes locked on the babies.
Seeing this, he eased the twins into her arms. Sakura gasped when she saw them and she began to tear up. Both the boys gurgled and stared up at her with wide innocent eyes.
"The blunette is Itaru and the pinkette is Natsu," her mother told her. "Natsu is the oldest, we hear."
"Itaru, Natsu and Sarada," Sakura murmured, committing them to memory. Seeing Natsu, there was no denying her intimate relation with Sasuke.
"Sasuke and I are truly married?" She asked, looking up to her mother who would never lie to her.
Mebuki nodded. "Yes. You two are married. He may not act like it sometimes but as your parents, we can see he adores you."
Sakura leant down and nuzzled both boys in her arms as tears slid down her cheeks.
"I'm so glad you're safe," she whispered.
For whatever reason, she felt light, like the weight of the world was taken off her shoulders. Itaru gurgled but Natsu gripped a small handful of her hair and tugged as much as a baby could. Sakura let out a watery smile and pulled her head back slowly, her hair sliding out of Natsu's grasp.
"What the matter, Sakura-chan?" Kizashi asked.
Sakura shook her head, simply smiling at her children.
"N-Nothing," she whimpered. "I-I'm just glad my babies are all safe."
The tears kept falling and Mebuki hugged her daughter's head.
"And I'm glad you're safe," she murmured, voice trembling. "I was terrified. I didn't know if I'd ever see you again."
"Kaa-san," Sakura cried, leaning into her embrace. "I don't remember anything."
"Don't worry, baby," Kizashi soothed, petting her hair. "You'll get your memories back soon."
She continued to sob into her mothers' chest.
"What did he do to me?"
My apologies on the time it took me to write this.
I read chapter 8 and I am so glad for Sarada's flash backs.
It was so touching, I couldn't help tearing up.
It was great but I'm worried about the ending where Sakura looks ready to beat the Shin's up.
We all know Kishimoto probably has a thing against Sakura and he's probably going to have her fuck up somehow.
He can be such a dick sometimes.
I'm so happy Sasuke respects his wife and her capabilities though.
'My wife isn't a weak woman. We might get there to find she's already tidied up the place.'
Love it.
Mint.
When Sarada spoke about going rogue...
Derp.
Uchiha's can be so fucking dramatic.
I think after saving Sakura, Sarada will outright question Sakura and hopefully, she and Sasuke explain what the happened.
That would be great.
Gaiden is almost finished.
But I heard Sasuke's going to train Bolt.
What about your daughter?
For real? Well then I hope Naruto trains Sarada.
You dick.
ChouChou again, pissing me off. No one gives a fuck about your chips. Piss off.
Orochimaru, the bitch is hot xD
Get it? Coz he looks like a woman?
It's funny, admit it.
Sasuke as strong as ever. Naruto has done shit all except Talk no Jutsu.
LOL
And to the asshole that told me to get rekt.
What the fuck does that even mean?
Eat a dick.
That's all.
I'm looking forward to Chapter 9. Let me know what you all think!
