CHRISTIAN'S POV

It's amazing how well undead, reanimated corpses can fight so well. I suppose you need a bit of a status update. It's been approximately 17 hours since Walhart was struck down. We said our goodbyes to the Renegades, and they thanked us for our aid. Crona seems to have pulled through OK. Dana is relieved.

Say'ri has stayed behind to rebuild Chon'sin in her brother's name. Kir'yu and Mal'rai are sticking with us though. "We owe you a great debt for restoring our homeland." "We need to kill Grima. Payback, you know?"

The Shepherds haven't had a casualty yet. I struggle to think we'll make it through the trial ahead without one. The Feroxi Army has retreated. Flavia went off north. She said she needed to do something important for Basilio's memory.

So, that's about it. Let's fast forward to the present.

We're in Plegia. Hot, dry, Plegia. The Ylissean army isn't with us. It's just the Shepherds. Dana offered us a very important piece of information: They were tending to a stranger very similar to Robin before he was stolen by men in purple and black robes. Coincidence? I think not.

We're currently duking it out with a dozen powerful Risen called the Deadlords in front of a shrine to Grima called the Dragon's Table. The very name is foreboding. Aversa is leading them. Remember her? The winged rider with the silver hair? Chrom and Lucina are rushing towards her. Its up to the rest of the Shepherds to get the Risen.

You're probably thinking 'isn't 40ish on 12 a bit overkill?' In reality, it isn't. These are skilled warriors who were renowned for their strength in their lifetime. Currently, Morgan and I are fighting one called Mus. I've read about him, he was a great general called Raydrik who was turned into an undead warrior using dark magic. Poor guy.

He was definitely on the defensive now. Morgan and I were staying our fair share of distance away, aiming at him with our tomes, because he only had his silver lance. Or, rather, we THOUGHT a silver lance was the only weapon he was carrying. We were a bit off.

"Morgan let's get on opposite sides so he won't be able to block both of our strikes at once." I said quietly. We both moved off to one side, me to the left Morgan to the right. We both simultaneously let bolts of fire from our Arcfire tomes fly. There was a flash of red light and time seemed to slow down as a bolt of energy hit Morgan square in the chest and she flew backwards, screaming. Her tome hit the ground a few feet away.

I looked at her limp body unregistering what was there. My vision filled with red. "Revenge." A small voice whispered in my head. Yes, revenge. Revenge for my father. Revenge for my sister. Revenge for war tearing my family apart. Mus turned to look at me and stepped back. I dropped my tome and stepped forward, my cloak swishing around my legs. I drew a hand back, and watched in fascination as 12-inch long claws sprouted from my knuckles. There was a sickening crack as heavy protrusions shot out of each side of my head. Horns.

Mus dropped to one knee and dropped his lances. "Gr….a….san…" he hissed, looking down. He quickly looked up in surprise into my cold, unforgiving eyes. "..W…y…" he slumped to the ground and my claws slid out of his cold dissolving body. The now impaled suit of armor fell to the ground, empty.

All at once the feeling of incredible power was gone. My body returned to normal. I saw Morgan stir, and I sighed with relief. I ran over and knelt by her side. "Morgan are you alright?" I asked, worriedly. She nodded and grinned. "It'll take more than that crap to kill me. She lifted her head and looked over at the suit of armor that had been Mus.

"What happened to him? What are those ragged holes in his armor?" she asked. I shrugged. "I stabbed him a few times." I lied. Morgan nodded. She believed me. "Are you ready to go save Father?" she asked, standing up and retrieving her tome. I smiled. "Of course."
