LUCINA'S POV
Fate, it seems, was cruel. We had trounced the Deadlords and fought through hordes of Grimleal to ascend to the top of the Dragon's Table, only to find Validar. Aversa was nowhere to be seen; perhaps she was dead. Validar, however, was grinning like a fool.
"Master Grima will be here shortly. He'll be so touched so many came to his rebirth-day feast." Validar said silkily. Chrom stepped forwards and drew Falchion. "Tell me where Robin is, knave!" he barked, staring at the king of Plegia with hatred. Validar merely chuckled at the death threat. "Yes, but if you kill me you will never recover Sable. I believe you need it for your little collection?" he said innocently.
Chrom growled and positioned Falchion so the tip was just barely touching Validar's neck. "Now now what a terrible way to act towards your brother in law." Validar spat. "Grandson, teach him about manners." All eyes, except Chrom's, immediately turned to Christian, who had started to tremble.
Christian clenched his hands into fists and shut his eyes tight. "Don't resist, child. It will only make it more painful." Validar crooned, in a way not unlike how Aversa would. Christian turned his head upwards and let out a scream and red fire enveloped his body. I pushed Sumia aside and ran towards him. "CHRISTIAN!"
Validar cackled. "I wouldn't do that~" The fire died, and my eyes widened at what had replaced my son. His face remained the same, although his eyes had turned violet, with no pupils or whites. Long curved horns protruded from his head and razor-sharp claws were protruding from his knuckles. Large black leathery wings unfolded as he raised a taloned hand.
I didn't realize he was attacking me until it would have been too late. Thankfully, I had a rescuer. There was a hiss as the Christian-demon stepped back. I looked up to see…Morgan. This was getting a little to strange. Morgan had undergone a similar transformation as Christian, except her wings were a light blue, as were her eyes. Validar hissed.
"Naga, why must you insistently defile this sacred place of the fell dragon?" he howled, glaring at Morgan. Realization dawned on me as I looked between the two children. "You don't mean…?" Validar grinned. "Finally, a light flickers on in your head, princess. Your children have inherited the blood of both dragons, fell and divine. Although it is evident which is dominant in each child…" I cursed. "You heathen! Fight us yourself instead of using children!"
Validar smiled sympathetically and spread his hands. "Yet, look what Naga has done to counteract." He gestured to Morgan. "Now, Christian. Show that foolish vessel of Naga which dragon shall reign supreme!" there was a loud whoosh as both children took to the air and collided with such intensity, the floor trembled. "Now come to me, Grimleal! Heed Grima's call!" Grimleal poured into the room up the two stone staircases on the far side of the room.
There were several shouts, and a few mangled Grimleal corpses flew across the room. "GANGWAY!" a familiar voice boomed. Chrom and I smiled, despite the situation. "Flavia, Basilio, glad you can join the party." He said wryly. Validar laughed. "Two more leaders will not make a difference! I will just slay them as well!" There was a hissing noise as a purple barrier was erected in a circle around the large altar in the center of the room, cutting Chrom and I off from the others.
"This is where I will kill you both!" Validar hissed. Chrom's face was gaunt. "This isn't what he described at all… Say'ri and the renegades were here…" I had no idea what he was talking about, but it was time to fight.
Chrom and I both ran at Validar, a few feet away from each other. We matched stride for stride. Validar quickly pulled out a tome and began to chant. Twin spheres of purple energy appeared in the air. "Face the wrath of the Fell Dragon!" he hissed, and launched the spheres.
Chrom and I simultaneously stepped to the side and kept running. Validar scoffed. "One at a time then." He snapped his fingers and a wall of energy hurtled towards me. "Lucina!" Chrom yelled. I tried to run out of its path but it slammed into me full force, throwing me across the room like a rag doll. If I hit the ground, I might have died.
Thankfully, a strong pair of arms caught me. "Thanks, Father." I mumbled, trying to get my bearings. Although light was eclipsing his features, I could tell the figure was grinning. "Guess again." He said, and righted me. Robin had come.
Jack's Corner
I hope that clears up the whole Christian-A-Dragon thing. If you STILL aren't clear, Grima and Naga are both using Christian and Morgan as their vessels at the moment. Who will win is... UP TO YOU! That's right, leave a review saying which child you like more, Morgan or Christian. The question of whether the loser survives or not is up to you. :3 If you're angry that I left this on a cliffhanger blame my head critic. He told me not to mention his username but... but... but... Nowi's daughter, I won't.
