VALIDAR'S POV

In other circumstances, this would have been fun. With the blood of the Fell Dragon mixed with my own, I was practically unstoppable. My son, however, kept struggling to win. Emphasis on struggling. He was unarmed, yet he still was rushing at me with his fists flailing.

Robin rushed at me, then feinted and stepped backwards, causing my scissor blades to slice through thin air. I stepped into my next slash in order to close the gap; however Robin leapt back and took off in the other direction. "COWARD! COME AND MEET YOUR DEATH!" I yelled, and charged after him, blades poised to run him through.

The power of Grima was getting to me. The reason Robin existed was because I wasn't a perfect vessel for the Fell Dragon, and already the effects of the unworthy were getting to me. I had swelled, only slightly, and my finer motor skills were crumbling. Robin turned and stopped in front of one of the pillars. "Come on then, where's your bravado now, little servant of Naga?" I hissed tauntingly, and swung both blades. He easily stepped back and flipped me off.

I was angry. I ran at him again, closing the short distance in a matter of seconds. I swung both scissor blades without stopping. In a flash, Robin was off and running. Before I could stop, both scissor blades went right through the pillar. I turned to face him. He was smiling to himself.

"I hope that wasn't your master plan." I hissed, putting a hand on each blade's hilt. "If so, you may as well kneel to me n-!" I stopped as I ripped out the scissor blades; the pillar had crumbled onto me, burying me in a humongous pile of pillar rubble. I was angry. With a muffled roar I thrust my hand up through the ruin. That's when it happened.

My entire body physically bulged out about a foot in every direction. The scissor blades' hilts were crushed into scraps. My veins abruptly turned jet-black, and my hair fell in a mane around my head. Talons shot from my hands. Robin's eyes widened. "DIE, FOOL! YOU WILL BE CRUSHED WITH YOUR FRIENDS!"

I faced the vaulted ceiling and let out an inhuman roar, and a pillar of purple light shot up, causing a large circular hole to be blasted through the remaining floors up through the roof, nearly 4x the size of my grandchildren's little spat. I saw several figures falling through among the chunks of rubble.

Robin did, too, for he started running towards one. He dived and caught the figure, only to be crushed by a chunk of ceiling. I laughed, the sound echoing through the trashed hall. The figure he had saved stood up and surveyed the scene. their gaze fell on Robin.

"Robin? ROBIN!" The voice was distinctly female. I recognized the future Exalt's voice anywhere. "Princess, how kind of you to join us." Lucina looked at me, and her eyes widened. "What in the seven hells…" she picked up Falchion from the ground next to her. "Naga, I'll need your help for a little longer."

This was news. The princess could hold Naga as well? So many blasted vessels. In the olden days it would never be like this. "Come at me with all you have, vessel of Naga! Watch all the light drain from the world, and replaced by darkness!"

"Grima, lend me the ultimate power!" the scissor blades glowed and changed to wicked curved, hooked weapons of destruction. "Naga, guide me." The Falchion lit up in a brilliant flash of orange and blue. I grinned.

"The Exalted Falchion, as I live and breathe? Let's see how long you can handle your goddess, Exalt!" I ran at her, both scissor blades ready to slice her to pieces. "I think not, hellspawn!" we met in the center of the Six Eyes, and she started slashing at me at incredible speeds; so fast I could only see the blur of blue and orange the blade let off.

However, with the power of Grima, blocking was easy. I blocked her final strike, twisted my blade, rendering hers useless, and swung with the second. She ducked, rolled to the side, recovering use of her arm, and jabbed at my legs. I leapt off the ground and swung downwards in an arc of death.

The princess leapt out of the way. I smirked. What arrogance, she wouldn't win like- she smirked as I fell to my knees, the Exalted Falchion poking through my back. I stood up. "I am beyond death by simple things like your magic sword!" I howled, ripping it out, the blade slick with black blood. I threw it with so much force; it flipped out the roof and began to descend to the ground. Lucina gasped.

I advanced towards her slowly. Frantically, she began to throw rocks at me. Without ceasing, I hacked each one to pieces with my scissor blades. I was right in front of her now. She stared into my eyes with sheer defiance. I pulled both blades back, ready to impale her through the stomach.

"Hell no!" I jabbed as the voice echoed throughout the hall. There was a muffled thud as Lucina was thrown to the side. There was a sickening slicing noise as I ran my son through. His fist was glowing orange. Barely standing, he drew his fist back and punched me in the chest. There was an orange flash as I compacted to my regular form with an incredible pain.

The last thing I saw was my only son slumping to the ground, and the Gemstone, Gules, falling from his fingers. He always was smart. He learned it from me, after all.
