MORGAN'S POV
Naga finally left a few moments after she was going to stab Christian while he was down. However, she may not have had to. He was in bad shape. I had half carried; half dragged him to the corner of the room we were in, so we were off that awful Six Eyes of Grima.
His face was badly burned, and his skin was jet black over his right eye. His two wounds where the scissor blades had impaled him hadn't closed, but nothing had been ruptured. Thankfully Validar was taller than Christian, because I had to place them so that they would rupture his vital organs. But judging from the lack of a corpse or even blood, Father's plan evidently hadn't worked.
Christian's body had been warped, too. His biceps were oddly big, swelled to weird proportions. His left eye seemed bigger than his closed right eye, but it may have just been clenched in pain. His arms were longer, too. Hosting Grima must have put horrible strain on his body. I hadn't had any negative effects from Naga's power, except from being dizzyingly tired.
From the floors above, there was lots of shouting and explosions, but I knew I couldn't go and help my friends and family. I needed to save Christian first. I turned back to him and trickled an elixir down his throat before pulling a roll of bandaged out of my cloak. I soaked them in elixir, too, and wrapped them around his chest and torso where the scissor blades had impaled him.
He had bruises all over, but I really didn't have anything for that. I didn't have a staff, either, which would have helped. All I could do was sit here, wait, and hope everything turned out ok.
CHROM'S POV
The Grimleal were dead. With the exception of Lissa and Sumia, I had no idea where my family was or how they fared. Explosions from the lower floors kept sending tremors throughout the entire shrine. I had a horrible, foreboding feeling about what was going to happen next.
It turns out; I was right on the money.
Yet another hole was blasted in the roof as Robin shot up through it. Spikes were protruding from his arms, and leathery black wings were unfolded on his back. Small horns were adorning his forehead, but they were growing by the minute. His veins were a pale gray and his skin was tight and shining. His eyes, however, were still their regular color. He looked desperate.
"Chrom. Evacuate now. I'm holding him back now, but my concentration is shattering. The Fell Dragon will take over at any moment. And Lucina…" I cut him off. "Where is Lucina? And your children? What happened to Validar? Tell me, dammit!"
My questions remained unanswered as Robin let out an inhuman scream of agony. An orange sphere fell from Robin's hand. Gules. "TAKE IT AND RUN!" Robin's voice was barely discernible in the guttural shriek. I scooped up the gemstone. "If you think I'm abandoning you you're wrong, Robin!"
I didn't have a chance to gauge his reaction; Lucina flew up from the hole he had created and slammed him into the marble floor. "Awakener. You must leave here. As the Fell Dragon and I do battle, no mortals should remain." A voice of a woman much older than Lucina came from her mouth. "No…" Lucina had been possessed.
Before I could protest, Sumia swept me onto her Pegasus and we were gone, flying out through the roof of the Dragon's Table, leaving it behind forever.
ROBIN'S POV
I felt angry. Angry at myself. Angry at Validar. Angry at Grima. Angry at Chrom. Angry at Naga. Angry at pretty much everyone, actually. I had failed to resist the pull of the Fell Dragon as he had burst through my mental barrier like it was made of tissue. Now I had to watch, helplessly, as either I ripped up Lucina or vice versa.
"Grima. You have wreaked havoc upon Ylisse for far too long. It is time to end this by destroying your vessel, and then you." Naga said, Lucina's mouth moving with the speech. I felt my own mouth moving. "You cannot beat me, only subdue me for a few centuries. Then I shall rise again and bring despair upon the land! Destroy all of my vessels; the darker side of mankind will just keep creating more! There cannot be light without darkness!"
The scissor blades had appeared in my hands, and the Exalted Falchion had appeared in Lucina's. There was no way to stop the fight that was about to ensue.
LUCINA'S POV
The fight that followed Robin and I's possession will truly go down in history as the most destructive fight in the history of men. With the power of the Dragons in our steads, our power and skill was being multiplied by the hundreds.
Robin and I flew at each other with blinding speed. Even I couldn't fully keep up with our movements. Robin, or Grima, was swinging his scissor blades in two different directions at once, making it difficult to be able to block both unscathed, but Naga's speed made it manageable.
With only one blade, it was impossible for me to go on the offensive. Robin's face was contorted into a grin that seemed painted onto his face. He knew he had the advantage. "Try this on for size, Fell Dragon." With a flash of blue light, a second Falchion appeared in my free hand. I, personally, used Falchion as a two-handed sword, but since Naga had taken the reigns I used it easily with one, so taking the extra blade was no struggle for the Divine Dragon.
I had to stop thinking like that. I was being used as a puppet to rip my fiancé to shreds. Naga, do we really need to kill him? I thought desperately, knowing she could read my thoughts. I'm afraid so, Awakener. If we do not Grima will just continue to utilize his body.
I couldn't accept that but there was no way for me to argue. With the clash of colliding metal, weapons of Grima and Naga met, suspended in midair by the other's might. Robin and I looked at each other. He looked so unnatural with his violet eyes, wings, added bulk, and spikes protruding from his upper arm. I suppose I looked just as strange to him.
With an oddly synchronized movement, all four weapons were thrown into the air. Robin and I slammed out fists into our open palms, causing twin jets of blue and black flames to erupt from our hands, colliding in the 7-yard gap between us. The result was an explosion so large, the top floor of the Dragon's Table completely exploded, revealing the purple-tinged clouds above.
The fight was just getting started.
