GRIMA'S POV

Those goddamned mines. The sheer magical effect imbued in them had severed me from my vessel. Inches before hitting the floor, Robin jerked upwards like a puppet. With a flash, I re-entered his body, and we spiraled up through the hole wings eclipsing a bright flash of violet lightning from outside.

The mortal was still standing there, his second sword once more in his hand. I suppose I will deal with him first. The scissor blades returned to my hand from the floor below, and I rushed him. He sidestepped my scissor blades and slashed Robin's side. I ignored the muted spike of pain he felt and swung both blades at him.

He caught them with his swords. His teeth were clenched and beads of sweat instantly started to pop up on his forehead. I increased the pressure. He relented, pulling both swords away, but twisting so the flat of the blades sent him spiraling into the air by the arms. In a strange gesture, he slammed both fists into its opposite forearm, and fell towards the ground.

He turned in midair and grabbed Robin, dangling over the abyss by his neck. "One… more…" He looked up at me triumphantly as the world was torn apart in a flash of bright green.

ROBIN'S POV

Was this death? It certainly felt like it. I couldn't feel, or hear, and I only saw white. Groggily, I pushed myself onto my feet. I was in a pure white landscape, with no other landmarks to distinct. Then, I felt a sharp pain in my side, and looked down to see my robe soaked in blood. I must still be alive.

"Do not push yourself, Fell Blood." A distinctly feminine voice range throughout the expanse. I looked around trying to find the source, but to no avail. "I barely have enough strength to assume a form, I fear." The voice rang out again, and this time I recognized it. "Naga?" I questioned, looking ahead.

"Yes. I have briefly pulled you away from the fighting to warn you. You have not yet escaped the Fell Dragon, although he is no longer utilizing you as a vessel." Naga spoke, her voice somehow echoing in the empty space. "How so?" I asked.

"Grima is after the Fire Emblem. He intended to have you steal it from the Exalt, but he relied too much on the hope that the future would remain virtually unaltered. Thanks to my courageous travelers, his hope was ill placed. I suppose I even must thank you." Her last tones were filled with contempt, as if she has forced to do so.

"However he is now seeking him. Chrom has flown into the Table in search of you and Lucina. Grima is combating him as we speak." I stiffened, but I was greeted by another rush of pain. "Then why am I still here?" I shouted, looking around desperately. "I need to inform you of important pieces of information. One: The Emblem can also be used to restore Grima to his full power. However, with the immense sacrifice laid before him, he may only seek it to prevent my Awakening." "Wha-" Naga ignored my interjection and continued.

"Two: The Fell Dragon cannot be killed." "What do you-" Naga plowed on, oblivious or uncaring of my questions. "The Royal Line can only subdue him for a few centuries at most. He will always awaken, unless he destroys himself. Which he would never do, even on the brink of defeat." That made no sense, but it had caused a small idea to form in the back of my mind.

"Third: to awaken the power necessary to defeat the Fell Dragon, you must bring the completed Fire Emblem to the altar on Mount Prism. But if Grima awakens, which he may be able to do, as I have said, with only the sacrifice set before him, he will, without a doubt, send powerful guards to stop you in your quest. I must send you back. You will find the Gemstone Vert nearby your landing point, and Sable will be with Grima. You must put them, along with Gules, in the Emblem if you wish to Awaken me."

Then, the white landscape quickly faded to a pure black.

CHROM'S POV

Robin and Lucina were gone. The top floor of the Dragon's Table was abandoned. I wouldn't even call it the 'top floor'; it was more like a roof. The walls and ceiling had been blasted to oblivion and were burning with purple fire on the ground far below. I slid off of Sumia's Pegasus and righted myself; flying always made me a bit dizzy.

"Sumia I must ask that you escort the rest of the Shepherds to safety. Take them to Ylisse itself if you have to." I said, looking around. "You expect me to just leave you here?" she replied sharply. "As if!" I turned to look at her. "Sumia. This is more than just my life in the balance. Its our army, our family, the entire world is in danger. I can't leave here without Lucina and the others, and I can't put your life at risk while I look."

Sumia's lower lip trembled. "C-Chrom… If you don't come back alive I'll never forgive you!" I smiled wearily. "Thank you, Sumia. I won't let you down. Stay safe." She nodded, her face once again a mask. "And you, Chrom. Tell Lucina, just in case… that her mother loves her."

She was gone before I could say another word. I watched as she flew off East to find the other Shepherds, who had already started marching an hour ago.

"How touching." I stiffened and turned to see the Fell Dragon himself. The resemblance to Robin was very disturbing, although technically they were the same person. And, despite the incredible power he had, he was still slightly transparent, like a ghost. "I suggest you hand over the Emblem." Grima said, stepping forward and extending a hand. "You are unarmed, and I would hate to see your family… dead."

I growled. "As if; don't pretend you won't kill them anyway." Grima laughed. "I might not have to do anything. They're all battle weary as it is. If it weren't for the meddling Renegades, your daughter would already have died at my hand!" The Renegades had arrived? There couldn't have been too many, or else I definitely would've seen or heard them arrive. Even a few would be enough.

"Unfortunately, the measly two they sent are dead." Grima said, laughing again. "They forfeited their lives only to sever me from my vessel! Can you imagine?" I growled and ran at Grima, despite the fact that I had no weapon. I punched him in the stomach, sending him staggering. He quickly righted himself. "Is that the best you can do? You don't even have a Gemstone's power behind you!"

"YOU WOULDN'T KNOW A THING ABOUT A NOBLE SACRIFICE! SO WHY DON'T YOU SHUT UP AND RETURN FROM THE INNER CIRCLE OF HELL YOU SPAWNED FROM!" I screamed, and slammed my fist into his face. There was a crunch as his nose broke. He smiled, but the black blood continued to fall steadily from the break.

"What is this? What sorcery have you put into effect?" he hissed, and brought his fist back. Without a sound, I swept his legs out from under him and pushed him back, and he teetered on the edge of the Table. He laughed a he regained his footing. "You may have somehow disabled my ability to heal, but you still remain weaponless!" Two scissor blades appeared in his hands, and he pointed them at me. "Do I have to come over there? Bow, and I may end you quickly!"

"I will never submit to you, Fell Dragon!" I stared him down as he walked slowly over to me. He brought the swords back; he was going to skewer me. "You know, Chrom, that is exactly like you." Grima and I both turned in shock; Robin was standing at the edge, where Grima had been moments ago. Behind him, a Pegasus was flying back through the flashes of lightning.

Grima was seething. "One day, I will make Pegasus soup!" he screamed, but turned to me. "However, today I will settle for ANOTHER DEAD YLISSEAN!" he swung both swords. "No!" Robin leapt forward and Grima froze, seconds from slicing me in two. "The Gemstones… Have I really become so weak that they harm me so? I must forget the Emblem. I CLAIM THE SACRIFICE AT THE DRAGON'S TABLE! MAY GRIMA RISE AGAIN IN ALL OF HIS TERRIBLE GLORY, AND MAY DARKNESS REIGN FOREVER!"

Robin and I watched in sheer horror as hundreds, no, thousands of little red spheres appeared and entered Grima's body. "Those can't be…" he said, a note of terrible awe in his voice. "The Grimleal… foolish Plegians. Look where their worship has brought them." I said in a hushed voice.

Grima turned to us. His scissor blades were gone. He was definitely solid now, and his nose was fixed. There was a terrible flash of purple, and a piercing roar split the air, causing the entire weakened tower to tremble. I looked up in horror. There, flying above us, was the newly resurrected Fell Dragon. Grima's Awakened Forme.

Jack's Corner

I'm disappointed this isn't Chapter 66 but oh well. So yeah. Grima's back. Will the Ylisseans be able to make it to Mt. Prism in time to save the world? Where are Augustus and Jason? Where are the rest of the Renegades? The Feroxi Army? Say'ri? How will Morgan and Christian escape? Will they have help? Is Lucina ok? Is Naga still possessing her? Leave reviews and tell me what you think! Oh and in case anyone was wondering, yes it hurt very much to kill Perseus and Madelyn. No, I did not have tea with Grima afterwards. Seriously those two were in the top 5 OC list. Anyway, enjoy!
