CHRISTIAN'S POV
It was over. The second Grima had been vanquished. I assume that Naga's powers took control the moment he vanished, and instead of a grisly free fall to our death, we were transported to the main hall of Castle Ylisse, which was thankfully untouched.
The world had been saved but no one felt like celebrating. Father was… gone. He was the true reason for our victory. He had sacrificed himself to save generations to come.
Everyone just sat in a stunned silence for several minutes, barely moving, save for Lissa Dana and Brady who were moving among the wounded with Recover staves. Then, everyone looked up as there was a bright flash of blue light.
Standing there, surrounded by a strong blue aura, was Naga, the divine dragon herself. Following Tiki's example, everyone knelt before her. Not even Gangrel protested.
"Awakeners." She said warmly, spreading her hands. "The world has been saved from the clutches of the Fell Dragon. Although losses were many, you have prevailed beyond all expectations. Today is truly a date for celebration."
Chrom looked up at her. "Divine Dragon, is there even a slight chance… a slight chance that Robin survived after destroying Grima?" he asked, a slight tinge of hope edging his voice.
Naga's lips curved to a thin smile. "Although it may just be emanating from you, Prince, I feel his soul echoing throughout the land still. If he has survived, it will take a long time for him to form again. The only thing that would be keeping him tethered to this world are you, Awakeners. The bonds he has formed, the hearts he has touched,"
Naga gave a very pointed look to Lucina before continuing, "Those are what really matter now. All you can do is wait, and hope that he will return." Chrom nodded gravely. "I understand. Thank you for your wisdom, Divine Dragon."
There was another flash of light as Naga disappeared, perhaps never to assume a human form again. After all, thanks to Father, there was no need.
All we could do was wait. Wait, and hope.
Jack's Corner
Sorry for the short chapter, but enjoy! Yikes, only a few more chapters... On another note, the prologue for my next long-term fanfic has been posted! For all you Soul Eater fans out there, go read Soul Eater: Darkness Reborn. It follows the story of Hibiki Narukami, an OC of mine. I hope you take a look, although the prologue is only about 400 words. Ciao!
