A/N yeah so basically its been a year and a half since I updated this story. I had others things going on in my life and I doubt anyone actually reads this anyways. But I wanted to actually complete this for myself so...This is set about a year and a few months after Jason and Holly found out they were having a baby and its been born now. Robbie and Holly never happened and neither did Jason and Cindy.

Jason's POV

It's been well over a year since me and Holly found out we were having a baby and it's been the best time of my life. Our son was born on the 15th October 2014 and we called him Ellis Lee Roscoe, after Holly's dad. Me and Holly are going strong, we've been through tough times but we've always got through them, she's the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Ellis is turning one today so mum is obviously throwing him a party but before that we have somewhere we have to go. I'm finally going to propose to Holly, I've thought about doing it loads of times before but always chickened out, but today is the day. What's a better way to ask the girl I'm in love with, the mother of my kid, to marry me if its not in front of all our friends and family.

"Oi Mr what you staring into space about?" Holly asked, coming up behind me and hugging me.

"Just how lucky I am to have you and Ellis in my life," I replied, gently kissing her and wrapping my arms round her.

"Aw your so cute, come on lets go downstairs your mum wants to give Ellis billions of hugs," She said walking round me to go get Ellis and take him downstairs. I slipped my arms round her waist and spun her round so she was standing by the door again.

"Go downstairs and go get some breakfast, I'll take Ellis down with me," she smiled and headed down the stairs.

When I as certain she was gone and couldn't hear me I turned round to Ellis, who was jumping up and down in his cot, and picked him up.

"Right little man me and you are going out so we can go get mummy a ring, okay? You gotta keep quiet alright, coz mummy can't know, its a secret," I said to him, whilst trying to get him dressed.

When he was finally dressed, I picked him up and we headed downstairs. Mum was waiting in the kitchen and as soon as we walked in she grabbed him from me and gave him a huge hug.

"Oh Jase I can't believe he's one already, I remember the day where you came home and told me Holly was pregnant, that seems like so long ago," Mum said getting all emotional.

"Yeah it does doesn't it. Anyway we have to go mum so we'll see you later okay," I said taking Ellis from her and heading out the back door.

"Woah where are you two going?" Holly asked standing up and walking over to us.

"We're going out, if we stay here you'll only moan at us for being in your way and what's so wrong with wanting to spend some guy time with my son on his birthday?" I said trying to get out of the house as quickly as possible. Holly gave me the "I totally do not believe you" look and raised her eyebrows so I gave her a quick kiss and we left the house.

"Phew that was a close one mate," I said to Ellis whilst strapping him into his car seat.

The drive to the shopping centre was terrifying, what if Holly didn't like the ring or didn't want to marry me?! She is only 17 and I'm 19 but I work and I support her and Ellis. Ellis took my mind off it by giggling and squealing at the songs that came on the radio and trying to sing along to Marvin Gaye.

We arrived at the shopping centre and headed inside to the jewellers to find Holly a ring.

"Can I help you sir?" The woman behind the counter asked me.

"Yeah please, I want to propose to my girlfriend but I don't know what ring to buy her," I said to the woman, setting Ellis down on the counter.

"Why don't you try this one sir, its diamond and I think your son likes it, he seems to be pointing at it," she was right Ellis was pointing at the ring, it was beautiful and seemed perfect for Holly.

"Yeah I'll take it thanks," I paid for the ring and me and Ellis headed off home.

"Right Ellis we can't tell mummy about this till later okay, it's got to be a surprise," I said to him as I started the car and we headed home.

When me and Ellis arrived home all mine and Holly's family were there. Cindy and Dirk had Hilton, Joe and Lindsey had JJ and even Tom and Peri brought along baby Steph.

"Hey bruv where you been, we've been waiting for you and the birthday boy," Ziggy said coming over to us.

"We went to town, I'm gonna do it Zig, I'm gonna propose to her," Ziggy slapped me on the back and walked off into the party.

I saw Holly in the Kitchen talking to my mum so I set Ellis down on the floor with JJ and walked over to her. I wrapped my arms round her waist and kissed her on the cheek.

"Hey baby," she turned round and wrapped her arms round my waist and rested her head on my chest, I put my head on top of hers.

" I can't believe he's one Jase, this years gone so quickly," Holly said nestling into my chest.

"I know babe, our little boys growing up fast, too fast," I whispered and I was right he was growing up to fast, he said his first word the other day and now he's walking. He was sitting on the floor playing with JJ and Hilton, playing with building bricks and laughing and giggling.

I looked around me, my whole family was here, all of mine and Holly's friends, now was the perfect time, I'm gonna do it.

"Holly come here, I wanna do something," I said taking her hand and pulling her into the middle of the living room.

"Jase what are you doing?" She asked but I just put my finger to her lips.

"Er guys I wanna make an announcement. As you know today is Ellis's first birthday and wow this year has gone fast. When I was younger my dad wasn't around,so I made a promise to myself that I would do whatever it took to be nothing like him and I think I've done a pretty good job so far. I've managed to be nothing like my brothers which is pretty good because I don't think I could be a good bad guy. If someone would of told me three years ago that I'd have a girlfriend as amazing as Holly and our little boy, I would of just laughed at them because I never thought anyone would ever want me, but you've proved me wrong Holly,"

I took in a deep breath and got down on one knee, a few people wolf whistled but I ignore them and held Holly's hands.

"Hol, your absolutely amazing and the most beautiful girl I've ever met and I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. Your an amazing mum to Ellis and I'm so proud of you, I love you to pieces. I love every single thing about you, I love the way you moan at me when I don't listen to you, I love the way you steal my clothes and they're always to big for you, I love the bones of you. What I'm trying to say Holly is will you marry me?" I looked up at her and she was crying.

"Of course I will you muppet!" She said drying her eyes. I stood up and spun her around and kissed her. Everyone cheered and clapped me on the back, giving us their congratulations.

Three years ago I was little Jason Roscoe, the nerd, the runt of my family, Robbie Roscoe's good twin brother but now I'm a police officer, with the most beautiful fiancé in the world and a cheeky little boy. Things couldn't be better and I can't wait for the future with my amazing family.
