LUCINA'S POV

It had been six months. Half a year. That's how long it took to restore the shattered continents to their former glory. Castles had been rebuilt. Rulers had been established. Mercenary groups disbanded. Coffers refilled. And yet, one thing remained unchanged: Robin was still missing.

However, due to a cruel twist of fate, Robin was put to the bottom of my list of worries.

CHROM'S POV

"Are you certain of this, Frederick?" I asked, looking at the general's face, a mixture of shock and, for the first time in the long time I've known him, fear. "Yes milord. Raimi contacted me while I was patrolling the northern section of the Plegian border. She looked seriously injured, milord. She claimed the enemy was giving even Ferox a run for their money. Fearing the worst, I sent messengers to Plegia and Chon'sin and hastened here, milord."

I nodded. The situation sounded grave; if Ferox was struggling the enemy must be extremely tough. "Remind me where these soldiers hail from, Frederick?" I asked, the thought evading me. Frederick lowered his head. "I'm sorry, milord, but nobody knows where these soldiers hail from. It is quite a mystery." "I see. Thank you Frederick, go get your wounds treated. I'll travel to Ferox as soon as I can assemble the Shepherds. Send a messenger to Flavia bearing that news."

Frederick bowed. "Of course milord." He then turned and left the room, closing the door behind him. I sighed and looked to one of the hallways leading out of the room. "Morgan, Christian, you can come out of hiding now." I said, smiling faintly despite the ill news.

With a defeated sigh the two stepped into the open. "I told you we should've chosen one out of his range of sight." Morgan muttered. Christian rolled his eyes. "But the conversation already started, we would've missed crucial points." He retorted sharply. "I hate to interrupt your strategy meeting but could you perhaps tell me why you were eavesdropping?" I cut in, and the two jumped to attention as if they'd forgotten I was there.

"That's beside the point, Grandfather." Morgan said, grinning sheepishly. "I told you not to call me that!" I said sharply. I didn't need an 18-year-old kid calling me grandfather; as if I didn't feel old already having Lucina and Cynthia romping around the castle all day. "Sorry Chrom." Christian said hurriedly, quickly silencing his sister. "We were just wondering… is it really smart to enter another possible war if… if your chief tactician is still missing?"

The temperature in the room dropped perhaps ten degrees as he finished the sentence quietly. "We never said it would come to war, Christian." I said in a calm, measured voice. "This could simply be a small border skirmish. It's nothing to worry about. Now why don't you two go find your mother?"

Jack's Corner

Haha! You thought defeating the Fell Dragon would end this fanfic? Perhaps needless to say, but you were wrong! Relatively short chapter to get back into the swing of things, but this isn't the last chapter by far, I'm afraid. I'll be damned if I let my fan fiction go incomplete! Anyway enjoy!
