Jump City

Speeding just under the water of Jump City harbor, a green, glowing football-shaped capsule was on a direct course from the bridge to the island where the large, 'T' shaped tower stood. No waves were created except for the ones caused by the wind sweeping across the surface. Fish, large and small, which were supposed to be occupying the harbor, were missing as the liquid took on a red coloring. It was no mystery where they were as their skeletal remains could be seen on the bottom of the harbor, resting for all eternity in the lifeless void where there was once an abundant of activity before the arrival of Trigon.
Midway from the bridge, the single object split into two and took off for different parts of the island. Coming to a stop, the first slid up the sandy shore with the front opening, releasing Lantern, Arrowette, and Terra. The three swiftly made their way to a line of large boulders for cover with the instructions of causing a distraction in twenty minutes as the second green construct made it to shore.
On the other side of the first three, Raven and Beast Boy quickly made their way close to the others. With the group separated only by the large rocks, they made sure everyone was accounted for and they were ready for the secret assault where their home used to be. Raven and Beast Boy moved out first, heading to the hidden rock entrance to the tower as the others went their own way.
"Keep your eyes open," Lantern told his two companions as they followed the rock line to the side of the island.
With Beast Boy and Raven making their way up the beach where the group used to relax, Lantern and the two female Titans stuck to the trails used for running or a relaxing walk. Few gaps between the stone barrier and the line of trees were the only parts to worry about as they had yet to see any patrols, guards, or something else in which their cover could be blown.
"Naaaawwwwww, I was thinking of running through hostile territory with my eyes closed," snarked Terra. "But with the bio chips still active-"
Bringing her holo-computer up, Terra pulled up the bio chips for the Titans and the members of their two sister teams. Placing her finger on the island, she had the blue screen display enlarge to show who the icons placed there were.
"Guys, we have a few problems."
"What kind of problems?" Arrowette asked.
"Super, more experienced problems."
Situated behind a thick area of trees and bushes, Lantern and Arrowette circled around their teammate as she showed them who was on the island.
"Kaldur's here, along with Conner and M'gann, and-"
"Down!" Arrowette whisper yelled.
Diving into the bushes, the three Titans kept there eyes open when they heard the unmistakable sound of Blue Beetle's rocket pack. The armored teen held onto a cable with Green Arrow and two other teenagers they had not seen yet bound some five feet down. As he flew over, the green archer's quiver came loose and fell the fifty feet from his body to the ground, landing slightly in the water. Blue Beetle paid it no mind as he continued to fly over the group and toward the building.
"Crap, they've got Oliver now," Arrowette said with slight panic in her voice.
"Who were those two?" Terra asked. "They looked like a punk and a hippie."
"Hope not, the hippie's hot." Turning to the girls, Lantern saw the flat, yet annoyed, look they gave him. "What? She's hot, but I don't like hippies."
Exhaling and shaking her head, Arrowette turned and missed seeing Terra slap the back of the glowing teen's head. "I'm going for it. Be back."
"Going for what?" Terra asked.
Already on the other side of the trail, Arrowette kept an eye on the sky as well as around her in case someone else should come along. Stepping down from the three foot high ledge, she was careful not to slip on the slick rocks as she knelt and stretched out to grab Green Arrow's dropped quiver.
Grunting, she almost had her fingers hook onto the strap when she felt herself lose her balance. Hurriedly, she shifted her weight and gripped onto a root growing from the Earth from between two rocks.
"B plus student in school and I don't think to have Kyle use his ring to grab this thing. Yeah, so smart, idiot."
Letting out a hiss, and blowing a strand of hair out of her face, Arrowette took hold of an arrow and used it to snag the quiver's strap. Being careful to not drop it, she brought it close enough to toss it slightly and caught the strap, looping it around her shoulders before replacing her arrow and made her way back to the others.
"There she is," Terra said once she saw their partner come back into view.
"Can you tells us where you went to, young lady?" Lantern asked.
"Grabbed Ollie's quiver. More ammo, less chance to run out."
Taking inventory of what the Justice Leaguer had, Arrowette added over a dozen arrows to her own supply, another medkit, flare bolts, and pulled out a case with a sticker reading H(CHB11Cl11).
"Sweet, acid tips."
"Acid tips?" Terra asked.
"Yeah, not even Artemis uses these. Only a League member can carry them."
Gently, the red clad archer opened the case and saw the glass arrow tips ready to be mounted and held one up.
"See this?" Arrowete asked while pointing to two clear vials no longer than a section on a finger. "These glass cases are filled with half of a concentrated super acid. The metal arrowhead around it makes sure it's buried into its target before they shatter and mix. Once they combine and exposed to the air, they can eat away glass, wood, concrete, metal, plaster, sheetrock, virtually anything in seconds. Oh I'm so glad I got some of these."
Taking a few of Green Arrow's arrows back out, Arrowette went about unscrewing them of their sharpened heads and attaching the acidic ones. She was very careful to store them within the section for her explosive arrows as they were extremely volatile.
"Those won't, like, melt your legs off if they break, right?" Lantern asked.
"No," Arrowette told him, "they need the force of being shot to break before that happens.
"Just don't fall on your butt then," Terra told her.
"Believe me, I won't."

Making their way to the hidden entrance to the tower, Raven and Beast Boy kept their backs pressed to the rocks. It was a short jog up a long, sandy incline, past a large grill, and beside the space used for volleyball. High above, they could see the back of their home with the once amazing looking structure severely damaged with the red skinned Trigon resting on it like a favorite chair of his. He did not seem to pay them any mind as he continued to rest, a good thing for the Titan team as they needed stealth on their side.
Reaching the hidden door, Beast Boy kept an eye out for any possible patrols as Raven used her black energy to pull the locked door open. She had to go slowly as the metal barrier made a grinding noise from stone and steel rubbing against each other.
"You might want to hurry up, Raven," Beast Boy whispered as his ears, in the form of a wolf's, twitched.
"Any faster and I make too much noise," she told him while moving the door to the side.
"Well we've got company flying in. Blue Beetle or Cyborg from the sound of it."
With the sound of a small engine coming closer, Raven attempted to go faster and cleared an area just wide enough for them to squeeze through. Neither saw who was flying over them as they hid in the darkness just out of sight.
"Hope you're ready to do this in the dark." Shifting his eyes to a wolf's, Garfield could now see in the lightless corridor.
"Like I've told you, I am darkness." Taking on a white glow, Raven's eyes could pick up on her surroundings much better than Beast Boy's as the two journeyed into the tower side by side.
With the power off, elevators were a luxury they wished they had. Entering the stairwell, both took to the air and flew up several floors when their path was blocked by damaged metal and concrete. Ripping the door off its mounts, Beast Boy morphed back to his regular form from a gorilla's and entered the interrogation floor with Raven behind him. Passing holding cells and rooms designed for 'forcible persuasion', the two made their way to the other side to take the second stairwell up closer to the top.
"So," Beast Boy said in an effort to put an end to the silence around them, "um, think we can get the others back in time to help against your da- Trigon?"
"I don't know," Raven told him. She appreciated him not using the word 'dad' when speaking about the demon god. "If I can, I'll try. I just need to get to the chakra on his head."
"I think if I distract him long enough, I can buy you time to do what you need to."
"I need all the time you can give me. The amount of energy I may need to conjure may take some time. I don't know how long, but, I think I can take some of his if I need to."
"You can do that?" Grabbing the handle for the stairwell, Beast Boy opened it for Raven after making sure the coast was clear.
"And who said chivalry is dead?" Raven asked, forcing the green teen to blush slightly as she passed her. "I'm a conduit for energy, remember? I can enhance certain abilities. I can also take the energy from others and use it for myself. I just need to force Trigon to open his chakra and take it from there."
"Easy as that, huh?"
"Yeah," Raven said as she took a deep breath. "Easy as that." She then wrapped her cloak around herself to conceal her body.

Outside the tower, Lantern, Terra, and Arrowette hid among a cluster of bushes and small trees. A large patch of open land was situated directly before Trigon's hoofed feet with a gentle slope leading to the open water of the harbor. A few boulders and trees were all that made up any cover whatsoever with the three knowing that once they go out there to reveal themselves for the distraction, there will not be many places to retreat for cover.
"We ready to do this?" Lantern asked.
"As ready as we'll ever be," Terra told him. "Wonder where Blue took the captured."
"Wouldn't be surprised if they used them as hostages." Pulling out an arrow, Arowette knocked it in place. "So, should I start things off?"
"May as well." Having the glove on his left arm fade out, Lantern saw the time then had it reform. "Time's nearly up to start this thing. We have to be careful. It would royally suck if we all got taken out by him stepping on us. I'll take point. Terra, you see if you can grab his feet and stand behind us. Arrowette, get his attention. Game time."
Moving out, the small group came into view of Trigon. All eyes were on the demon god as he looked to be sleeping on his improvised throne instead of simply meditating. They could hear a low growl emanate from his throat and could swear the wind flowing over the small island was coming from his breathing alone.
Inhaling deeply and letting it out on a single huff, Arrowette brought her bow up and fired towards Trigon's face. Sailing through the air, the arrow made it's way to the center of it's target's face. Reaching it's highest peak, it lost all power when it burst in a brilliant spark of light some yards from Trigon's nose with a thunderous pop. Burning chemicals fizzled as the flare floated back down to Earth as a pair of red eyes opened and looked down at the ones responsible for the interruption.
"Think he sees us?" Arrowette asked a she lowered her bow.
Releasing a snort, Trigon closed his eyes and ignored the trio.
"Oh he saw us, he just doesn't care." Creating a large hand construct, Lantern directed it to Trigon's ear and flicked it hard, causing the demon to look down upon them angrily.
"Hey!" Lantern yelled. "Down here, sissy boy!"
"Think antagonizing a demon god is a smart move?" Terra asked.
Growling, Trigon lowered his head to actually look upon the group as his deep voice boomed louder than thunder. "Who wishes to disturb a god?"
"We do!" Lantern yelled.
"We're the Titans!" shouted Terra.
"And to what is your purpose here?" Trigon asked.
"We're here to chew bubble gum, and kick your butt!" Lantern shouted.
Pulling her bowstring back with another arrow in place, Arrowette looked up from under her hood. "And we're all out of bubblegum."
With his eyes locked on the three, Trigon gave another growl. "Then you forfeit your lives."
Readying themselves at those word, Lantern, Terra, and Arrowette were prepared to fight when a bright, white light came out from behind a hill to the right of Trigon. It was almost blinding as shadows began to move when they began to grow small as those they belonged to came into view.
"Oh, crap." Terra muttered.
"Mega crap," Arrowette added.
Taking position on the crest of the hill, a possessed Superboy stood tall as he looked down on the three Titans. His expression, which always looked angered on his happier days, was even more threatening with his eyes brightly glowing red. Beside him, Mrs. Martian lightly landed as she too stood at her full height as Wonder Girl was next and stood on the other side of Superboy. Next was Blue Beetle who formed twin scythes from his arms as he took the spot beside Mrs. Martian. Aqualad was next, standing next to the demi-Amazon with his water bearers out in the form of swords.
Lastly, a woman the trio had not seen too much of sauntered to the top of the hill in an all leather dress with a blood red halter top, black gloves reaching up to her shoulders. Both articles bled from its crimson color to pitch black. The black bottom portion of the dress was slit up to her thigh on the left side, providing maneuverability with spiked thigh high boots underneath. Normally, her hair would be hanging down, but this time, it was styled in a tight up-do with dreadlock tendrils hanging loosely and tipped with metal shards sharpened to a razor sharp edge.
"Lilith?" Arrowette asked quietly.
Holding her arm out, the normally dark skinned Brazillian woman's eyes shimmered brightly as she made a fist, sending Wonder Girl, Mrs. Martian, and Blue Beetle at the Titan trio. Aqualad and Superboy were sent into the tower, leaving Lilith standing alone on the hill.
"Okay, we know how to fight them," Lantern told the two female Titans. "Remember the holograms. We fought each one."
"I got M'gann," Arrowette told her partners.
"I'll take Jaime," Terra told them.
"Oh yeah, leave me with the blonde meanie. Very nice." Lantern sarcastically said as the three veterans flew at them. "Stay close and bring them down!"
