Titans Tower

October 06

10:57 UTC

Running around a corner, Beast Boy avoided being turned into paste as Superboy smashed through the sheetrock and metal studs behind him. Sparks flew into the hall from the damaged surface, igniting a small fire on the carpet with the sprinklers exploding to douse the flames. Down the hall, Raven came flying into view as Aqualad speared the wall, narrowly missing her feet. The red water construct dropped to the floor, mixing with the rain falling from the ceiling as the Atlantean stalked into view.

Holstering his water bearers, the possessed Aqualad motioned for the water to bend to his will. His tattoos glowed brightly as the heavy indoor rain surrounded Raven and began to hammer into her as if they were hard hail stones when a large form appeared beside her and slammed the girl into the wall. Falling to a sitting position, she shook her head and moved just as another fist-shaped object crashed where she was.

Forming a black sphere around her, Raven was able to fend off another attack as Beast Boy landed hard on the soaked carpet at her feet from being hit by Superboy. He quickly transformed back into his usual self from the gorilla he had taken the shape of and saw Aqualad coming their way.

"Next floor!" Beast Boy yelled as he morphed into a bat.

With her eyes glowing white, Raven lowered her left fist then sent it upward in an uppercut motion. The burst of her dark energy ripped through the ceiling to create a hole to the floor above where the two fled.

Landing on the next floor up, the two were now in a large workroom, one floor from the living area and closest exit to Trigon. Surrounding a heavy shelf loaded with spare parts for weapons and extra tools, Raven used her energy to move it. It had to have weighed over three hundred pounds fully stocked, which it was, but with a Kryptonian hot on their trail, it most definitely would not last long.

"One more floor," Beast Boy said as he moved the wet hair out of his face. His tail shook left and right with the excess water flinging off it.

Taking her hood off, Raven ran both hands through her hair and squeezed a large amount of liquid from her scalp. "You know they won't let us near him. We need a distraction."

Catching his breath, Beast Boy nodded. "See if you can hide. I'll get them to follow me away from you."

"Garfield, you can't take them both on. You can't even take one of them on."

"The only other option is if you take Conner out. He's weak against magic but if you use too much, it could kill him."

Next to them, the makeshift barricade exploded upwards and scattered about the room. Both teens watched wide eyed as Superboy floated into the room with Aqualad landing from a leap.

Arriving in the tower through the hole someone, most likely Superboy, created, Arowette holstered her crossbow while leaving the grapple clip in place. The entire hallway before her was a disaster with claw marks embedded in the flooring and walls. Holes littered the area where missed shots landed told her the story of a one sided battle taking place and how Beast Boy was in trouble if he was forced to go up against Superboy.

Taking a moment, the Titan archer unshouldered her quiver and pulled a few arrows out. Working quickly, she removed a small box loaded with extra tips and pulled them out. Setting them on the floor, she then pulled out a small roll of duct tape and went about attaching a few to the ends of several explosive tipped trick arrows. Replacing them, she redonned her quiver and grabbed her bow before sprinting down the hall.

"Hope this works."

Pulling up her holo-computer, Arrowette pulled up the motion detectors within the tower. Behind who she considered Beast Boy and Raven were Superboy's signature, since he still had his Biochip, as he gave chase. Since Aqualad's signature was not visible, it was safe to say his tracking device was damaged. Having to travel two floors up, she made her way to the stair case and kicked the door open. Firing her grapple bolt from her crossbow, she quickly ascended the next two floors and kicked the door open to find Beast Boy and Aqualad in the middle of a fight.

"BB, down!" Sliding on a knee from her run, Arrowette pulled her bow string back and fired a bola trick arrow.

Hearing his fellow Titan, Beast Boy morphed into an armadillo and fell to the floor rolled up in a ball. Aqualad never saw it coming as the bola arrow exploded and wrapped a cable around his torso, pinning his arms to his sides.

"Where's Raven?" she yelled as she and her green partner met back up.

"Busy." At that moment, Superboy came bursting out of the storage room.

"Crap, she didn't use enough magic to keep him down."

"I have an idea. Just help Raven." Drawing another arrow, Arrowette bolted down the hall, narrowly avoiding Superboy as she ran on the wall a few steps, thanking Wally for teaching her how to do such a thing without the use of super speed as she fired an electric trick arrow at Superboy's chest.

The current may as well have been a snapper firework exploding on a person's foot, enough to feel but not to hurt. With no mark on his red Kryptonian cloth shirt, Superboy shrugged off the so called attack and leap at Arrowette with his fist cocked back. His attempt to put it through her head was met in failure as she fired a flare in his face.

With her possessed co-leader roaring from being temporarily blinded, the red clad archer pulled three of her acidic arrows out, knocked, and fired them down the hall. Hitting the end of the building, the arrows imbedded themselves in a triangle pattern and went to work. With each step she took, she threw several more trick arrows on the floor, each getting stuck in the thick carpet but failing to activate before attaching the end of her grapple line to her belt.

Just as she said, the glass vials in the arrowheads stuck in the wall busted and mixed. The addition of air activated the corrosive abilities of the liquid and it quickly ate through the sheetrock, metal, and concrete of the outer perimeter of the building. Thin strands of white smoke rose into the air with lines from each arrow snaking along the wall to severely weaken it. All this happened in a few seconds from the time she fired, to the time she arrived at the end of the corridor.

"Come on," she muttered as she knocked three more arrows.

She could feel the reaching hands of Superboy behind her as she ran, pictured them coming closer and closer to roughly grabbing her and taking her out of the fight when she leapt into the air and performed a jumpkick to the disintegrating wall. Her body weight and speed she traveled was enough to break through the wall and end up outside the tower in a free fall. Twisting around, she saw Superboy close behind her, following his intended prey out of the damaged building side, and fired her three shots at the same time.

Striking his foot, the first of the arrows exploded to angle him face first as he fell. The second burst to ensnare him in a cable with the ends of the bola cable wrapping tightly around his arms to pin them to is body. The last surrounded him in the hardening gel before he could attempt to fly. He dropped like a stone to the ground far below, ending up in the trees and tall grass.

Grabbing her crossbow, Arrowette fired a bolt above the hole she came crashing through and zipped back up.

"Sorry!" she yelled when she saw the side of the large demon god. She was in frightened awe at the presence of Trigon as she shot past and swung back into the tower.

"Good gravy, he's freaking bigger up close. And I just sounded like my grandma!"

Looking down the hall at the sound of a grunt, Arrowette saw Aqualad in a kneeling position with a water bearer acting like a chainsaw to slice through the cable binding him. In a few seconds, he was free and grabbed his second weapon as he charged forward.

"Take a brake." Knocking and firing another explosive arrow, the archer struck Aqualad's shield he formed at the sight of the attack and watched it detonate.

A few steps later, the ground groaned with Aqualad's weight and he fell through it, the cause was the acidic arrows she threw on the floor being activated from the pressure wave of the explosion. he hit the floor beneath hard with the upper floor falling on him to keep him down, if only for a short period.

"It worked." Arrowette whispered. "Another of my plans worked! I am Aweso-"

Stopping her, the blonde looked down once she heard the floor beneath her feet groan. She too fell through the floor with a yipe and fired a grapple line just in time before joining Aqualad. Rising back to the floor she was on, Arrowette swung her legs to reach the section of floor undamaged beside the hole she created in the wall.

"Hope that gives Gar and Rae enough time to do what they need to."

Turning, she redrew her crossbow and fired another grapple line to gently descend to the base of the tower. She never saw the rubble burying Aqualad move.

Letting out a pain filled grunt, Terra rolled along the sandy ground of the island's beach from being struck by Blue Beetle. The blonde girl could barely stand on her right knee after taking a chop block from a flyby. The stones once surrounding her fists had broken away from the times she managed to strike the armored black ops member.

Attempting to stand, Terra gave a sharp cry as her knee buckled and nearly fell to the ground. She had no time to think of a way to defend herself when she saw Blue Beetle swooping in low with his arms forming something akin to a car bumper to run her down with. Acting on pure instinct, she commanded the sand to move her out of the way and had a column shoot out to push Blue Beetle back. Momentarily stunned from the hit, or what looked like stunned, the Earth mover had the ground open up with a large set of jaws shooting out of the hole she created. Turning the column into a fist, she held Blue Beetle in place as she allowed the sand-jaws to clamp down around the teen. They then sank back into the ground with the armored teen before the hole closed.

Hearing a growl, the Titan girl looked over her shoulder and saw Trigon staring down at her. She had no time to wonder if he had been watching her fight Blue Beetle or he if he could somehow sense their plan of fighting him when a green object made a large crater in the sand nearby. Shielding her face with an arm, she waited for the falling sand to leave the air before crawling over to where she saw Lantern hit.

The hole was only about two feet deep with the dazed glowing green teen getting back to his hands and knees. The normally bright light around him had dulled slightly but had kept him surrounded in energy. Reaching down, she helped pull him up when she saw Wonder Girl flying in at her. Dropping Lantern, she summond the sand to rise up and harden to buy her time to help her friend when she was blasted from under by Blue Beetle.

Flying through the air, Terra came crashing down on a few stones lining a series of larger rocks halfway buried in the ground. Her leg throbbed even more from the hit, eliciting a sharp cry of pain from her as she rolled to the soft sand a few feet away.

Seeing Blue Beetle emerging from the sand, Lantern powered up his ring as the armored teen formed his serrated sword and stomped towards the injured Terra when he was grabbed from behind by Wonder Girl's lasso and pulled back. He had no time to fight against the unbreakable rope as he was only concerned with following orders, 'No body dies".

Making the shot larger, he unleashed a wide beam and struck Blue Beetle in the back, sending him back to the hill where he stood with the others at the beginning of the battle. Feeling the rope being yanked harder, he failed to see Arrowette as she fired a bola trick arrow at the demi-Amazon, binding her tight before shooting her with an incap-foam arrow. The moment Lantern felt the rope slacken, he pulled himself free and crawled away until he stood back on his feet.

"Thanks for saving my neck," he told Arrowette.

"Don't thank me yet." Pointing behind him, both saw Wonder Girl break free from the hardened foam and snarl as she got back to her feet. Behind them, Blue Beetle was on one knee and was ready to charge them with arm swords ready.

"Any ideas?" Terra asked as she hobbled next to them. "We can't beat them like this."

"Then if we can't beat them," Arrowette said as she looked at Lantern.

"Get rid of them." Looking at Wonder Girl, he saw her fly into the air. "Ter, think you could hold Blue for a minute?"

"Maybe. Why?" Terra asked.

"Ever been to a circus?"

"Hold them back!" Arrowette yelled as she began firing at Wonder Girl.

The moment Blue Beetle took off for them, Terra had two large boulders lift into the air. With a yell, she sought to crush, non lethally of course, Blue Beetle who managed to catch both and was straining to keep them from pinning him between them. She could see the strain he felt just holding the boulders at bay and kept the pressure up.

Already in the air, Lantern formed a large Howitzer cannon with a sci-fi twist. It looked to be of a futuristic design, something seen a long time ago in someplace far, far away. Opening the breach behind the green construct, he whistled for Arrowette to back off Wonder Girl. The moment she did, Lantern caught the blonde protege of Wonder Woman in a round construct and lifted her into the air where he formed it into a bullet shape and slammed it into the cannon's breach.

"Fire in the hole!" Pulling his arm back, Lantern triggered the firing mechanism in his construct and launched Wonder Girl far away into the city. With her super strength and durability, there should be no harm done to her. At least he hoped so.

"Ready?" Terra yelled as Blue Beetle turned his hands into sonic cannons and began to break out of the twin boulders holding him.

"Drop them!" Lantern ordered.

The moment she did so, a green construct grabbed Blue Beetle and loaded him into the cannon. Firing it again, the blue armored possessed hero was launched into the city in the same direction as Wonder Girl. Now it was just the three Titans and Trigon on the island, as far as the demon god knew that is.

"This is Titan island!" Turning the cannon around, Lantern charged it up with a massive amount of energy and unleashed a concentrated beam of firepower on Trigon.

Striking him in the chest, the massive giant known as Trigon actually felt the impact of the attack and flinched. It had taken all of Lantern's energy to do anything to him, which resulted in Trigon becoming angry.

"You dare to strike a god?" Trigon's voice boomed over the island.

Standing before their friend, the injured Terra and Arrowette hoped to give him time to recharge as he quickly recited his Green Lantern Oath with his Lantern battery unhooked from his belt.

"Your souls will be the first ones I take." Moving his hand outwards, Trigon pointed at the trio, commanding Lilith to step forward.

"Only one left. Not so bad," Arrowette commented.

Leaping over the hill, Aqualad joined Lilith's side and formed his swords.

"You just had to say something," Terra pointed out. "You just couldn't let it go. Could ya?"

"My bad."

"Three on two. We can work something out," Lantern said as he stepped forward, now fully charged.

Falling from the sky, Super Boy landed hard and stood, rolling his shoulders and popping his neck as he joined the other two.

"Seriously you two, SHUT UP!" Terra screamed.

Tugging on a chain, Lilith brought three prisoners forward. She let them roll down the hill and sneered at the Titan team.

"Who's that?" Lantern asked.

"Who's who?" Terra asked.

"Ollie." Arrowette answered. "That's Ollie!"

"And who are those two?" Lantern queried.

"Appetizers." Grinning Lilith had the chain binding Green Arrow and the others become shrouded in red energy.

The three had no choice but to watch the prisoners yell as their bodies went stiff for a few seconds before collapsing. White lights soared into the air and into Trigon's hand as their bodies lost all coloring and slouched to the ground.

"Their souls feed the master. And so will yours." Holding her hand up, Lilith sent Aqualad and Superboy forward to bring her new victims for her demonic master.
