The Final Battle

The Fate of the Universe rested on this final battle. And the Blood Feud between the Soul Reapers of the Gotei 13 and the Quincy would finally be settled.

Toshiro jumped forward, slashing his blade down causing ice to cover the ground before him. But once again Ywach disappeared only to reappeared behind him. He raised his hand and the god-like power he now possessed caused the black that covered his body to shot out and attack Toshiro. Like grim, black shadows they moved across the ground, the walls, and ceiling before they came out grabbing at him.

Toshiro turned and swung his sword down, slashing the shadows in two. But those two pieces simply grew back and continued to grab at him. Toshiro turned left and right, swinging wildly cutting them into pieces but only for twice as many to come back.

Ywach smiled as he saw the shadows begin to close in around Toshiro, inching in one him bit by bit until at last it finally closed in around him.

Toshiro put his sword down and stabbed Hyorinmaru into the ground, freezing the progression of these shadows. The attack frozen Toshiro quickly turned on his heel and jumped over at Ywach. And with another swing of his sword, shot a dragon of ice at the Quincy King.

It blasted forward but with one hand Ywach swatted it away like it was a fly, shattering the dragon into a thousand tiny little pieces. But as the dragon shattered Toshiro took it's place. Both hands on his sword and raised it above his head.

He swung down with his sword once more. Ywach simply raised his hand and a dark dome surrounded him. And when Hyorinmaru came swinging down it bounced right off it.

The Blut Vene Anhaben, a force field that feeds off Ywach's now unlimited power and even the living things around it. But this indestructible shield only made Toshiro even angrier.

With another swing Toshiro cracked the barrier just like Ywach had cracked his ice dragon. And once the barrier was down he wasted no time in stepping forward and trying to take Ywach's head once more.

But once more the Quincy King eluded him.

"Impressive. "Ywach remarked rather calmly. Toshiro turned around to see him standing a few feet away from him." No one has ever destroyed by Blut Vene Anhaben." Toshiro readied himself to attack once more. Ywach raised his hand and pointed a finger at Toshiro." But it won't be enough." He shot out a blast of reishi at him.

But as soon as it left his finger Toshiro had disappeared, forcing Ywach to destroy the ground where he had once stood into dust and rubble.

Toshiro reappeared behind him, with a yell and another swing. Ywach stepped to the side, avoiding the swing and then raised his arm up to punch Toshiro in the chin, knocking him back. But with a gesture he stopped him. And with a flick of his finger brought Toshiro back towards him, only so he could punch him to the ground once more.

"Can your brutish mind understand nothing!" Ywach said." You're a fool to think your power matches mine. I am all powerful!" He raised his arm and then pointed to Toshiro.

Once more the shadows pulled away from Ywach and dived down at Toshiro. The Soul Reaper gave one strong swing and sliced the shadows once more.

Toshiro quickly took to the air, the shadows morphing together into one great mass after him. But now all his focus was on this one mass, Toshiro raised Hyorinmaru and when the shadows came close enough to grab him he slashed them, turning it to Ice. Then he came slamming to the ground, cracking the ice shadows to pieces.

Then he turned his attention to Ywach once more, still seemingly unfazed by Toshiro's success.

"Mind your step." he commented. And as Toshiro's left foot planted back against the ground he suddenly felt a sharp pain through it. Someway, somehow Ywach had managed to stab him from across the room without even moving.

Toshiro ignored the pain and then shot into the air, jumping across the space between them to bury Hyorinmaru into Ywach's head.

Ywach did not move to avoided him but held up his arm to create a broadsword of Reishi to match Toshiro's own. The Soul Reaper clashed and grinded his blade against Ywach's. The indifference on Ywach's face only increasing the anger on Toshiro's.

He turned on his heel, stepping to the left to deliver another swing ready to take off Ywach's head. The King Quincy dodged this time, dipping his head just enough to allow Hyorinmaru to fly over him. At the same time he put his hand out and pressed it against Toshiro's stomach.

He looked down to see Ywach's hand start to glow as a blast of reishi formed in his hands. But as Ywach released it Toshiro disappeared, forcing the blast to fly forward and take down one of the nearby buildings.

He instead reappeared behind Ywach. But before he could slash him Ywach had blocked. He put some strength behind his blade and used it to knock Toshiro back, and while he was off balance jumped back to put some distance between them.

But that could work both ways. Now with the distance between them Toshiro tried a different approach

No expenses sparred he would use only the deadliest and most powerful kido he could summon. He raised his free hand to the sky, causing the entire area to blacken as ten pink balls of energy floated around him. Then he pointed his stretched out arm towards his enemy and the ten spheres slew at him.

He watched as one ball consumed him after the other.

The other Soul Reapers and Quincy battle down below.

Rukia wanting revenge for Renji dashed for at Sternritter 'M'. She jumped into the air and came down with a slash. But Gerard raised up his shield and blocked her. Gerard reached back and grabbed her by the back of her head, then turned to slam her face first into the ground.

"Insect!" he called as he raised his foot up high, preparing to finish what he started. But before he could he was taken to the ground by Sajin Kommamura. The big Captain stepping in and punching Gerard to the ground. But the sight of such a large opponent, let alone a Captain only thrilled him.

"YAHOO!" he proclaimed as he jumped up." I have already faced a Captain before, and his might was no match to mine. Do you think you can do better?!" He jumped forward swinging his sword forward, only to be blocked by Sajin. But the Captain of Squad Seven stepped forward and grabbed Gerard by his neck, lifting him into the air and slamming him to the ground.

At the same time Byakuya battle Cang-Du. The Quincy's ability allowed him to cover his skin in iron, making himself nearly invulnerable. His right arm encased it in he stepped forward to grab senbonzakura by the blade itself! Then with his free reach out and strike Byakuya in the stomach.

"Scatter Senbonzakura." He commanded. And right before him Cang-Du saw the blade disappear out of his hands and then surrounded him, slashing and cutting into him. But even though each cut managed to cut his iron armor it was only instantly regenerated covering Cang-Du in even more protection.

Byakuya raised his blade for another attack but was suddenly attack from behind. A hole that shot right threw his abdomen. Lille was in the distance firing down on the battle from on high, but not for long.

The barrel of his gun was suddenly wrapped in chain and jerked from his hand. When Lille turned Captain Shuhei Hisagi lunged at him. Swinging down with kazeshini in his right hand and stabbing it into Lille's left shoulder. The Quincy had managed to stand up and grabbed Shuhei's wrist stopping him from attacking further.

Left, right, left, right, left right. As Mask De Masculine advanced he unleashed punch after punch on Kiganjo's body, forcing him back even more. Another punch sent the big Captain to his knees but before another could be dealt Yoruichi landed on Mask's shoulders. Her legs locked around his head and in one swift move lifted him up and slammed him onto the ground.

Bazz-B pointed his finger into the sky shooting burn finger after burn finger at Soifon. But every time he fired Soifon simple disappeared from one spot to the next. Until suddenly he lost track of her completely and only found her again as she was burying her stinger into him.

The stinger found it's mark and the black symbol made itself known on Bazz-B's chest. But before the final strike could be delivered Bazz-B placed his finger right on Soifon's chest, shooting a hole right through her.

Driscoll jumped forward and swung a punch at Mayuri. But the new Captain jumped out of the way causing Driscoll to punch the ground, making a big crater in the floating palace. Mayuri jumped back and with his free hand aimed at Driscoll and silently summoned Shakkaho.

He fried it right at Driscoll hitting him right in the face. But the Quincy only grimaced in his direction before racing forward. So Mayuri fired a second time but Driscoll just punched it. So Mayuri fired again so Driscoll punched it once more.

Now within arm's length Driscoll reached down and grabbed Mayuri by his throat, lifting him up and slamming him into the ground. He reared his free arm back to swing again.

But before he could Nemo appeared between the two, swung her own arm up and punched Driscoll in the face. Freeing her master and knocking the Quincy high into the air. She followed after him jumping into the air, wrapping both arms around Driscoll and suplexing him back into the ground.

As the smoke cleared Toshiro saw Ywach standing in the same place, with hardly a scratch on him. Unfazed Ywach shot a reishi arrow but Toshiro reached out his hand and caught it, turning it to Ice with a touch before shattering it to pieces. Then jumped forward with a strike of his own.

As Toshiro jumped forward with another swing Ywach evaded him once more, jumping back. But as he did Toshiro saw Ywach suddenly double, then quadruple until there were eight Ywach's surrounding Toshiro.

Then he watched as the eight all raised their arms to form a broadsword of reishi in each of their hands. And together they swung.

Toshiro put up Hyorinmaru and managed to block the three in front of him, but the rest of him was open.

He clenched his jaw tight as one sword slashed across his back, tearing his Captain's cloak and slicing the mark of the First Division in two. He pulled one hand from his sword and put it under his left arm and shot Hado #4 from his fingertip, shooting a hole through his coat and through the chest of the Ywach clone, melting him into black shadow.

At the same time two more broadswords stabbed into his stomach. Toshiro clenched his jaw tighter as warm blood began to fill his mouth. His teeth stained red he stepped forward swinging hard and knocking the three before him back.

Then he turned to the one who's sword was in his gut. With one hand he slashed opening the clones throat and melting him into shadow as well.

Two came at him next, one from the left and the other the right.

He put his sword up to block on the left while he put out his free hand and clasped it over the other's throat. In the same motion he slashed his sword across one's chest while twisting the other around and pulling him close. In another swift motion he jerked his hand across the neck, not only breaking it but ripping it from it's body.

When the next sword came swinging at his face Toshiro ducked under it, only to shot up and spear this Ywach right in the chest and turning him to ice before ripping his sword free and turning him to pieces.

He jumped left when he felt the next sword dig into his rib cage, right into the other two. He was surrounded once again, this time by three. He turned and kicked the one at his back in the chest knocking him back. When the second stabbed at him he caught the blade against Hyorinmaru then swung in with a fierce head-butt knocking that Ywach back.

Now the other came back. Toshiro ducked under his swing and slashed upwards with Hyorinmaru cutting this Ywach completely in two. He could hear the other advancing and he turned around to cut off the arm that was about to swing at him, then placing his hand on Ywach's shoulder stationed him so he could drive his sword into Ywach's throat.

Only two more.

He caught the last sword with his bare hand, ignoring the pain and continued blood loss only to spring up and stab Hyorinmaru into Ywach's chest. And there went the last clone, as he melted Toshiro looked ten feet before him to see Ywach himself, still virutally untouched by this battle. Toshiro could not say the same.

He had been cut across the back and stabbed twice in his torso, the bleeding showing no signs of stopping. But then again neither did Toshiro. He could not take the time to heal himself, that would only give Ywach more time. He had to do this now or never!

He gripped Hyorinmaru tighter and prepared to lunged at Ywach.

But as he advanced Ywach casually raised his hand and opened his palm unleashing a barrage of Quincy arrows upon him.

One Quincy arrow hit him in the chest as another flew in and struck him in the shoulder. With another gesture Ywach had a sword fly from the ground and stabbed Toshiro through his right thigh. With a great roar he bent to one knee, but the defiant rage did not leave his eyes.

In order to endure this battle one had to be a Captain-class fighter. To survive this level of combat one had to well skilled in battle, both things Yushiro Shihouin was not.

He watched as together Iba, Ikkaku, Koga and Fujimaru advanced upon Meninas. The little girl did not look so frightening and she was unarmed while all of them had swords unleashed and ready for battle. They charged her in a line.

But Meninas arms suddenly grew twice in size and she jumped forward and punch Iba right in the stomach. And that one punch was enough to knock him off his feet and back into Ikkaku. Koga went at her next, swinging his blade but she easily ducked under him and hit him with an uppercut, knocking him to the ground as well. And before Fujimaru could even think about attack she turned and kicked him in the face knocking him off his feet. Then she saw her next opponent, Yushiro.

His sword hadn't even been drawn yet. And his hands were shaking so much that he fumbled to get it free. But by the time the sword was half-drawn and he'd looked up again Meninas was already on him. Putting both her large powerful hands around his neck and began squeezing.

The first thing he did was drop his sword, but that was a mistake since it was the only thing that could have saved him. He put his now free hands against her's and though somehow he could make her let go. But he was far too weak for that and with the growing lack of air he could do nothing more than pat and push at her. But suddenly when it seemed the end for him someone jumped in.

"Leave him alone!" cried a voice. And Yushiro watched as Meninas was hit on the side of her head, making her let go of Yushiro and knocking her to the ground. Looking up Yushiro saw his savior was Lieutenant Matsumoto." You alright?" she asked turning down and helping him to his feet.

"Y-Yes." He coughed. "T-Thank, T-Thank you Lieutenant-"

"Don't thank me yet." She said turning to Meninas who was now getting up." It's not over yet." Meninas turned around and faced her." Is that you're a game bitch?" she taunted.

Meninas jumped forward swinging another strong punch but Rangiku had seen her trick. She raised up Haineko and formed a wall of ash between them. The ash biting and tearing into Meninas' skin.

Mask De Masculine had his arms gripped around Kiganjo's shoulders, the two men locked in combat. Kiganjo swung up his arm and hit Mask with an uppercut to the chin. Mask responded with a punch of his own with enough force to stagger the Captain of Squad Ten. The Quincy pressed his assault charging forward and elbowing Kiganjo in the face, knocking him onto his back. He quickly jumped one him, grabbing his head and slamming him into the pavement.

One, two, three times. But then Kiganjo reared his head forward and head-butted Mask off him. On his back Mask slammed his knuckles together.

"Bankai!" he announced. And when he rose to his feet Mask saw his arms covered in two heavy steel guantlets.

"Now it's a fight!" Mask announced as he tore the shirt off his body showing a muscular physic." BRING IT ON!" Kiganjo charged forward with his left arm forward. Mask caught the gauntlet as it swung at him. But Kiganjo kept pushing, Mask's feet forming trenches in the ground as he was forced back.

Driscoll swung down and tried to punch Nemu. But the raised her arm and blocked, spinning her right arm like a drill and stabbing it into Driscoll's chest. He groaned as she pressed her attack forward. So the Quincy crushed his arms against her own, one at the elbow the other at the forearm.

Then with one great tug he ripped Nemu's arm completely off, raising it up and preparing to us it against her. But it didn't appear to effect the artificial life as much as he thought as Nemu jumped up and kicked him right in the chin, then another right across the face.

But Driscoll put both his hands together and hit Nemu across the face, knocking her to the ground. Before Nemu could react he grabbed onto her left leg and lifted her in the air above his head, where he grabbed her by the shoulder. Then with another great pull he ripped Nemu completely in half.

Mayuri quickly turned to watch his artificial daughter ripped in two before his eyes. Driscoll turned and saw the Captian looking in his direction. He locked his shoulders and charged at him.

Mayuri raised his blade and prepared for Driscoll's attack. But before Driscoll could make it it he was suddenly halted. Turning back he saw Nemu somehow still alive and holding him back with one arm.

Angry Driscoll turned and raised his leg, stomping it down on Nemu's head crushing it. But when he turned back Mayuri was already on him, stabbing his blade into the Quincy's shoulder.

With his hand still around Gerard's neck Sajin turned and slammed him down once more. Then he put both hands on Tenken and the giant sword formed above Gerard. And with one quick slice the blade stabbed down and into Gerard, crushing the Quincy and shaking the entire palace.

It looked like a point went to the Soul Reapers, one Quincy down. Or so they thought.

Suddenly the palace began to shake even more and all watched as Gerard began to retake shape and grow again. But this time he grew taller. All watched as Gerard grew hundreds of feet higher, both his feet planted on opposite sides of the floating palace.

"Behold." Gerard announced in his new form. His voice echoing across the sky." A Miracle!" His eyes were the size of a building and he turned them down to the ground below." You all look like nothing but ants from here." He raised his left leg." And that's all you are!" He came stomping down, ready to crush the Soul Reapers where they stood.

It came crashing down right on top of Sajin.

"Insect!" he laughed.

"Holy shit." Let out Kiganjo.

"Get back!" yelled Soifon. She raised her arm and pointed it at Gerard." Bankai!" Her stinger then turned into a giant, golden missile across her arm. Without a moment to lose she pointed it up and aimed for Gerard's head. In the next instant she fired it, shooting it not only at Gerard but propelling herself back.

And she might have fallen off the palace if Kenpachi Zaraki hadn't jumped in.

"I've got you." He said when Soifon looked up at him. At the same time her missile flew up and blew up right in Gerard's face. But the blast only staggered him back a step and blackened his forehead.

"Pitiful ants!" He announced. "Your weapons cannot harm me!"

"Let me handle this." Kenpachi said as he pushed Soifon aside. "I have something of my own to show." Kenpachi announced." Drink Nozarashi." And everyone watched as Kenpachi Zaraki the only Captain in history to never even attain Bankai let alone shikai. But now they saw his blade turn into a large battle ax ten times the size of his own body.

Then with both hands on his sword Kenpachi jumped up, ready to meet this new foe. And Gerard saw him shooting up at him like a speeding ant and put up his shield to block. But then in one mighty swing Kenpachi managed to cut the entire shield in two. Not only that but he had cut the entire arm that wielded it in two. Needless to say Gerard saw stunned. But that would be the least of his surprises.

At the same time he felt something against his left foot. He hadn't crushed Sajin like the insect he viewed him as. And the Captain with his great strength pushed back against Gerard, lifting him off his foot and onto the ground.

When Kenpachi touched back on the ground he looked back to see the big Captain standing at his full height.

"I knew that wouldn't kill you." He commented. Sajin shook himself, flinging the dirt and debris off him. And behind those stoic eyes Kenpachi saw anger." You wanna tag team this guy?" He asked pointing to the stirring giant.

"With pleasure." Sajin answered reaching for his sword.

Meninas jumped forward and this time managed to land her punch right on Rangiku's stomach. Her strength was even greater than Rangiku imagined, so great that she managed to send the Lieutenant flying back through several buildings.

But even as she stopped flying Meninas was already on her with another deadly blow. One, two, three, four as punch after vicious punch landed into her stomach. Piercing the skin, breaking the bone and starting to crumble the building around them.

Meninas delivered one final punch, this one with enough force to go right through Rangiku but also start to crumble the building completely. Meninas did not stay for the collapse and quickly withdrawaled, leaving Rangiku inside.

And as the building crumbled behind her Meninas turned back towards the rest of the battle. But suddenly she felt something hot shot against her back and propel her to the ground. Quickly turning back she saw Rangiku rise from the rubble. Evidently there battle wasn't over.

Toshiro set Hyorinmaru down, using it as a cane to balance himself rather than as a weapon now. The cut across his back and the two holes in his front continued to bleed while the Quincy arrows stuck out of him, making him look like a pincushion.

"A valiant effort." Ywach commented as he took a step forward." But in the end it was doomed to fail." Toshiro took in a few strained breaths, but it only became harder and harder with each one." I told you your power could not compare to mine." He was now standing before Toshiro, his great dark figure hovering over him. With his right hand Ywach reached out to lift Toshiro's chin while with his left he prepared to deliver the final blow." For I see not only the future before us but every possible future there ever will be." Ywach told." And have the ability to change it to my will." His left hand was ready and now raised above his head.

"The Future?" Toshiro questioned picking his head up even more." Well can you see this?!" He raised Hyorinmaru to the sky." BANKAI! Daiguren Hyorinmaru!"
