Hi everyone! I deeply apologized for the late update but I'm happy to say that the next couple of chapters are almost complete so it won't take me too long to update for awhile. I want to thank everyone for staying with me and I hope you're enjoying the story so far.
"Rin?" Sesshomaru breathed, slightly stunned from her appearance. She was absolutely breath taking.
"What is she doing here? She's not suppose to be here or a demoness at that." Inuyasha spat, slightly to Airi for her wrong accusations.
"I don't know. It's too early for her transition to be over." Airi responded, still shocked from seeing Rin in that form. Rin has always been categorized as being beautiful in human standard, but as a demoness, her beauty was intensified, making her appear as a goddess, a mindless temptress under the control of twisted demon.
Sesshomaru couldn't care less about how she looked or what she is. She was Rin and was right in front of him. The demon inside of him was screaming at him to get her back and slaughter the lot of them.
"Retrieve Rin and kill them all." Sesshomaru commanded, just loud enough for the humans to hear, knowing that the demons can hear even if he whispered. He led the way as his soldiers and Inuyasha's group follow suit behind him.
Kiraya's army roared in response and charged forward. As the two fronts clashed, Sesshomaru effortlessly dodge blow after blow. The weaklings were a waste of his time. He wanted Kiraya's head and he wanted it now. As he got closer to his target, he unleashed his whip and started cutting down every demon that got in his way.
He drew out his sword as a huge ugly demon with horns tried to take a swipe at his head. "I've always wanted to taste an Inu daiyoukai." It liked its lips in hunger. It swiftly reached out an arm to grabbed Sesshomaru but was stopped by a giant blade.
"How about I give you a taste of my sword instead." Inuyasha yelled as he chopped the demon's arm off. "Go ahead, we'll handle this." Inuyasha shout to Sesshomaru as his friends caught up to him. Sesshomaru gave him a nod and continued forward.
Once Kiraya was in his view, Senri suddenly appeared out of no where with his teleportation power. "Don't get any closer." He snarled, getting into an offensive stance.
Sesshomaru gave him a deadly growl before Airi jumped in between them.
"Leave him to me Sesshomaru-sama." Airi offered while drawing out her own sword. Her face was filled with rage and determination to stop the demon in front of her. She felt foolish and responsible for letting the situation get this dire. Sesshomaru gave her an approving nod and leaped to were Kiraya and Rin were watching from the background.
"Senri stop this now or else I'll be force to kill you." Airi demanded, her voice filled with resolve, though her eyes said something else.
"If you can that is." Senri retorted, drawing out his own sword and clashing it with Airi's. After several minutes of clashing metal, they were evenly matched, their faces inches part as they pushed against the other's sword. "I know how you feel about me Airi." He said all of a sudden.
She stiffen and he smirked darkly as she let her guard down enough for him to caress her cheek sensually.
Her eyes widen in astonishment and nostalgia. She missed his touch and warmth terribly. "My offer still stands." He whispered into her ear, referring to their little battle at the Lord Summons. He had offer to let her join him and Kiraya in their quest for domination."We can be together, just like you wanted."
She nearly shivered as he whispered huskily into her ears. This was what she always wanted from him, to be with him, but …it was wrong.
Letting out a contrite sigh, she closed her eyes and managed to hug him tightly.
He quickly responded in satisfaction. This was easier than I thought. Women are so foolish. He held her tightly to him as he prepared to bring his sword to her back. His eyes widen as he felt an abrupt lost of strength. Airi was draining his energy. She used his weaken state to stab her own sword to his back. He struggled to push her away as his energy was quickly dissipating. When he finally got her off of him, he was furious.
It was too late. Airi had already drained most of his energy and weaken him with the large wound on his back. "You never knew what my ability was did you?" Airi questioned as she prepared another attack.
"You bitch!" Senri growled. He charged with full intent on killing her. He's eyes were filled with so much hatred and outrage in compared to Airi's calculative and calm eyes.
"Lets end this now." She spoke lowly, appearing in front of him with her sword to his neck.
"I don't think so." He smirked, looking behind her with intensity. His body was engulfed in black mist before he suddenly disappeared.
Airi gasped when his body vanished. "No!" She looked around in search for him. Her eyes froze once she turned around. "RIN! SESSHOMARU-SAMA!"
A bit earlier…
After killing more weaklings along the way, Sesshomaru finally made it to Kiraya.
"So you're finally here, Lord Sesshomaru." Kiraya said in mockery, Rin standing behind her.
"Release Rin and I shall kill you quickly." He said, his face void of emotions though his eyes were cast over with a desire for blood.
"I'll have to decline on your offer." Kiraya chuckled.
With unimaginable speed, he swung his sword at Kiraya. His eyes widen when he saw the beautiful newborn demoness block his attack with her own sword.
"Rrrinn." He growled in discontentment. He tried to strike Kiraya again, but each time he does, Rin either blocks him with her ability or with her sword while trying to cut him at the same time.
Kiraya couldn't help but laugh at the situation. "Aww bad Rinny. Betraying her lord and protecting his enemy." She said in amusement. This was all just a game to her. Kiraya knew that no one can stand up to Sesshomaru except his ward. He would do anything to protect her, even from himself. He would never fight her seriously or have the intent to kill her unlike any other opponent. This is what makes Rin the ultimate weapon in this war. She can go all out in order to kill him with her life still intact.
Rin continues to send fatal blows at Sesshomaru, only to have him dodge it. He was getting annoyed of her efforts and clashed his Bakusaiga with her sword. The impact was too great, sending Rin's sword out of her hand to land where Kiraya was standing just moments ago. Kiraya saw the sword coming towards her and managed to dodged in time.
Now that she was weaponless, Sesshomaru assumed that it'll be easier to immobilize her until he kill Kiraya, however, he couldn't be more wrong. He sent out a claw to grab her arms, but was knocked back by her strange barrier.
Sesshomaru immediate composed himself and observed as Rin concentrated the energy in each palm. She threw the the pink orbs straight for him at an alarming speed. He was barely abled to dodge them.
The moment the orbs made contact with the ground, it expanded and everything within a 20 feet radius was instantly repelled by its incredible shockwave. The nearby demons whom were caught in the orb's path were blown away, crashing into other demons, knocking them out.
Sesshomaru was amazed by her amazon, yet troublesome power.
Rin continues to launched out her pink orbs of repulsions, aiming it right at Sesshomaru, though she kept missing. Too focused on created more orbs, she failed to notice him appearing behind her before he struck her on her neck, rendering her unconscious. He caught her before she fell and gently laid her on the the ground.
He returned his attention to Kiraya who was smirking at the sight. Even in the midst of a war and being surrounding by enemies, he was still so composed and kind to his ward, despite her change in persona.
"It seems like it's just me and you now." Kiraya mused. Her secret weapon, Rin, is unconscious yet she's still so compose.
Sesshomaru ignored her taunt and quickly sprang at her. Kiraya grab hold of Rin's sword protruding from the ground and blocked his attack. With his opponent being an actual enemy, he didn't hold back and aimed to kill.
Many slashes and cut were on her body as she fruitlessly tried to dodged and block his attack.
"Die." Sesshomaru announced as he launch one final attack to spear the evil demoness in the chest. Kiraya held her sword out in an attempt to jam her sword forward.
His eyes widen as he released a shocking gasp.
*SPLASH*
Crimson blood dripped down the blades where it penetrated the soft and hard flesh.
"RIN! SESSHOMARU-SAMA!"
Airi's blood curdling cry could be heard throughout out the battle field. Many attentions were directed to the source of the howl then to where the anguish demoness was shouting to.
Many dropped their weapons, letting their opponents deliver the final move while others charged to help out their lord as they cried out his name.
"What happened?" Kagome wondered, sense a chilling omen down her spine. She turned to where many the others were staring at. Tears immediate ran down her cheeks as she realized what had just happen. "This can't be…RIN!" She sobbed into her hand.
Before her very eyes were Rin and Sesshomaru, blades protruding through their chest.
