Chapter 33 Beginning of the End, Maybe.

Character Storm

"K," Storm called out from the deck of the Pestilence as they traveled through space. She was in her suit and Blitz was beside her in his armor.

"Storm," K replied as he and C veered over to her and Blitz.

"Hello Adam," Storm greeted. She knew who the man was but wouldn't reveal his secrets until later.

"Oh its you," Adam replied, "Hard to tell through the armor."

"Seriously why does everyone know who Adam is batter than us and we've know Blake longer than any of you," Yang asked.

K, C, Storm and Adam shared a look before ignoring the question and continuing with Storm's line of conversation. "You know how this ends right," Storm said.

"Yes," K said, "I know."

Storm looked him over then switched to her time view and looked him over again. "No you don't," She said, "I'll make sure Inarius and Lilith stay close by you until the right time."

"You know I hate it when you do that," K said.

"Oh, She knows," Blitz said.

"RWBY, JNPR, good to have you aboard," Storm said diverting the conversation to her next goal, "I'm Storm, Time Seer, This is Blitz, my mate. Inarius and Lilith will be accompanying K and C to the heart of Hell."

"Wait the heart of what," Jaune said, "That sounds very bad."

"Probably because it is," C said as eight books appeared in her hand, "Here read these, one for each of you. It will give you a good idea of what we are going up against."

"Why is the title Collection," Blake asked.

"Oh sorry," K said, "Interpretation error in my translation aura, let me fix that. Better?"

"Ah, much, thank you," Ren remarked as he flipped open the book.

"K," Storm said, "We will make it out of this."

"Is that backed by a vision or," K started.

"Several," Storm said, "But we will make it out of this... all of us."

"Now we are close to the portal," Storm said, "Blitz and I will go get Inarius and Lilith and meet up with you in a bit."

"Understood," K said, "And Storm, Blitz, don't ever change."

"Can't promise anything," Blitz replied as the two turned back to the Pestilence.

"Now to find Inarius and Lilith," Storm said, "Hmm they are... in engineering."

"Your getting close to the end of you visions aren't you," Blitz stated.

"All but one," Storm said, "And it was just for getting Beast on our side. I will soon become Seer in full."

"Well," Blitz said ponderously, "You can count on me to be by your side."

"I know," Storm said with a smirk that was hidden by her armor. "Lets do this."

Character Inarius

"Storm," Inarius greeted as the Seer and her mate entered the engine room.

"You two should head to K's side," Storm said, "He will need you."

Inarius and Lilith looked at each other before nodding at Storm's request and heading out to join up with K. Lilith and he weren't bothered by the lack of air in space since neither of them technically breathed.

"Storm sent you then," K said as the two approached.

"Partly," Inarius said, "But we also told her that we would stay by you remember."

"So what are we going to be facing," Lilith asked, "I do like to know what I am going up against."

"We face the darkness itself," K said, "That is where Lucifer and the others will be hiding. The rest of DC will be taking on the rest of the condemned."

"So it is real," Lilith remarked.

"Very," K said.

"Hello," said one of the ten people who were riding on K's back. Inarius hadn't even noticed them until just then.

"Oh hello," he replied to the woman with long yellow-gold hair, "I didn't know that you had gotten on K before we left, Yang isn't it?"

"Yup," Yang confirmed, "You two heading in with us?"

"That we are," Lilith replied coolly, "You could say that we too have a bone to pick with the remainder of the Satan."

"Yikes hold a grudge much," Yang commented, "Well it is always good to have more people on our side."

"We are near the portal," K said, "Very near..."

Then they passed through it. The world shifted around them everything turning black and red with hues of orange and yellow where some twisted creature stirred at their arrival. Inarius had thought that it would hurt more but he didn't really feel anything different than before they passed through into Hell.

"K shouldn't we be..." Inarius asked.

"I don't have an explanation for it," K interrupted, "Just be thankful that the severance of Hell is not affecting us."

"It is actually," Lilith said, "I can taste it... but someone is filling the void that normally exists here."

"You're welcome," Adam said with a wicked grin displayed under his bone plate mask, "You don't think God would send me here for no reason."

"Hold up how do you know," Blake started but she was quickly hushed by K.

"Shh. See that glow up ahead," K said, "That is the start of the entrance of Satan's hold. DC will deploy there and cover our backs then I will drop all of you off in the innermost sanctum to keep the dark-guards from catching up with me while I deal with the other Heads."

"Understood," Inarius acknowledged as Doug landed the Pestilence and DC started forming a perimeter. Looking down on the situation as they passed over Inarius thought he saw something that he recognized. A flicker out of the corner of his vision when the creature thought he wasn't looking. Stretching out his senses he felt them... the Weepers. "K there are Weeping Angles down there," Inarius said, "Creatures that are so fast they can kill you from three lunges away in the time it takes to blink."

"I know," K said, "I made them. The Doctor has dealt with them before I think that between him and Storm the Weepers won't be much of an issue."

"Why is it still so quiet," Weiss asked.

"No air," Lilith said, "If you had a soul that was attuned to the frequencies that we can hear... it would not be quite."

"Here is the inner sanctuary," K said, "I must go on alone from here. That means you too Celantra."

"So just the thirteen of us against anything that gets past the rest of DC," Scooter said as he hopped off of K.

"Not exactly," a deep voice said. Turning around they saw the Vest Man standing by the door with the Sentinels, "We're here to help."

"Storm never mentioned you," K remarked.

"She doesn't know," one of the Sentinels said, "Go do what you must."

Inarius drew his sword to the sound of the rest of the group's weapons came unsheathed. "Now we just wait," He said.

Character Doctor

"Nobody blink," the Doctor yelled as he locked gazes with the Weeping Angles, "Spread the word don't blink."

"Don't worry I can't take my eyes off of them," Washington said from Doctor's left.

"What are they," Soap asked from his right.

"Weeping Angles," Doctor replied, "Faster than sight quantum beings that thrive on the life energy of others. In the physical world they sap the energy by sending you back in time... here they will probably just suck it from you instantly."

"Doc... tor..." One of the Weepers said, "We know of you." Then it started moving even while they were watching it. It turned towards him, "You removed us from time."

"Bob," the Doctor exclaimed, "What?"

"Here there is no time," Bob said, "Here we feast on the demon dead, you sent us to an eternal feast. We owe you."

"Owe me," the Doctor asked, "Well ok then do you mind if you and your friends keep the demons from us for a while?"

"We owe you," Bob said again, "We will help."

"Am I the only one here who thinks it is odd that we are talking in a no air environment," Wrex asked.

"Oddity, yes," Mordin commented.

"Doctor," Bob said, "Something comes... something beyond our power. You are beyond our power you can defeat it."

"What is it," the Doctor asked but when he turned back to Bob the Weepers had left. "I guess their version of helping is not killing you and warning of the thing that can."

"Better than no warning," Saetan said.

"I've got it on scanner," Sparks announced, "What... oh not this guy again. It that tentacle jawed giant monster."

"Magog," Tyreal said, "He won't be able to be killed here."

"Then how do we stop him," Marion asked.

"Killing is not the only way to stop something," the Doctor said, "Arie get Spyro, Kris, Geyser, Kitara, Scaron, and anyone else who has ice abilities over here, I've got an idea."

"Freeze him," Arie said, "I like it."

"So does this make us totally insane," Wolfgang asked as his Arch form landed next to the Doctor, "We are fighting off demons in Hell and carrying on a conversation like this is what we do every Tuesday."

"I like to think that I was already crazy," the Doctor replied.

"This counts as the craziest though," River said.

"I'll agree to that," Roland said.

"Doctor," Spyro called as he and the others arrived and Legion 141 headed over to fill the weak spot in the line.

"Good your here," Doctor said, "We're going to freeze that Magog creature you all in?"

"We're in," Krista and Geyser said. The Doctor gave them all a smile as he started explaining his plan.

Character Kalathanon

He had left the last few members of DC outside, left C outside, and entered the deepest fathom of Hell, his oldest stomping ground. He past the energy, or lack there of, layers that held so many forgotten memories within them. He wasn't concerned for his safety in this place there was nothing within it that he feared, in fact the demons that he came across fled in terror of him. In this place he had reverted back to his old form... if a form it could be called. He was more like an absence of form the nothingness of Hell seemed substantial compared to him. K knew though what he had to do... he knew that the completion of his penalty was that he would be the one to uncork the power of Hell. No more would Lucifer and Mammon and the rest hold it captive to their will but that Sin could be manifested by any race or being after K's task was done. The difference would be that where Satan forced the manifestation onto individuals this would be the individual causing the Sin to manifest.

K shook the thoughts out of his head as he pushed his way through the 'doors' into the 'throne room.' It appeared as if he was alone at first but he knew the others to be there, he could feel them.

"You all know why I am here," K said, "Come on lets do this."

Character Adam

It wasn't long after K had left that the dark-guards started their attack. The creatures of the dark-guards were varied in form and nature, some being almost completely incorporeal, to some made of what seemed like armor, to some that were just masses of flesh. It didn't matter to Adam they were all just as easily consumed as their predecessor was. He strung his strikes and shots together in such a stream of attacks that he was constantly drawing in power from the falling guards. He was the Void, the Despair, now he is one and the forces of Hell had no power over him.

They also had no power over Ruby for that matter. She took blow after blow with no effects whatsoever and dealing out considerably more strikes than she took. The others seemed to be affected by the weapons, even C. Despite it all he would make sure K had enough time to finish the work that they had started so long ago. He was about to smile at the thought but then a sickening sound reached his ears. The gasp of pain that he heard was from Yang, she had taken a sword through the gut. Adam saw Ruby dash to her sister's aid and moved to cover the two of them as a Sentinel rent the Dark-guard that had delivered the blow in two. Adam couldn't help but to overhear Ruby as he struck out at another guard.

"No sis, not you too, I can't loose both you and mom... Yang please."

Adam couldn't help himself he had to help save Yang.

"Lilith cover us," He said as he ripped his mask off revealing the flaming red eyes that he used it to cover. "Ruby, move out of the way."

Ruby glared at him at first like she would have cut him in half if it meant she could stay by her sister but then she saw the aura around his hands, the healing aura that K himself could project if he wanted to, the aura that K used to send him across the threshold of the universes, the aura that K used to fuse him into one, balanced, repentant being. For he, Adam, was Void and Despair or what they should have been.

Ruby moved just to the side of Yang. The young blond was already unconscious due to blood loss which made it easier on her as Adam removed the sword. Then he poured the energy he had been drawing in from the entire plane of Hell since he arrived into her body knitting organs, bone, muscle, and skin back together, replenishing blood, and otherwise overhauling any damage that Yang had received. He slumped over, only to be caught by Blake, once he was done.

"Yang," Ruby asked as she knelt over her sister.

Yang opened her eyes and blinked a few times before saying, "Sis? Well I guess either you died too or I made it."

"Yes it sounds like she made it," Ren said, "Adam what are you?"

"I thought you were Fanus," Blake said.

"The last guard is finished," C called over to them, "Adam you saved her."

"Why wouldn't I," Adam said, "What I was doesn't mean that it is what I have to be."

"Man that was like closer than forth gear is to fifth," Scooter said, "Don't none of you go doing anything like that again."

"It is down to K now," Adam said as he replaced his mask, "I think we should wait here until he returns."

"We will move up to the rest of DC's position and help them hold the line then," Vest Man said as he and the Sentinels headed back for the outside.

Character Kalathanon

"Why can't we stop you," Lucifer roared at him as another pulse of darkness rolled off of K and dissipated.

"I told you," K said, "It is not me you are trying to stop."

"No," Mammon hissed, "He can't have any power here, He can't."

"Why do you think Hell was made," K said unmoved as more attacks slid off of him.

"We made Hell," Moloch growled, "With sin we sustain it."

"Wrong," K corrected, "Sin has brought this eternity so far away from God yes but it can't sustain this place, even at this distance His power is absolute."

"But we can't be saved," Asteroth yelled.

"We are the destruction," Baal added.

"Then how did I manage it," K remarked, "And my friend Baal is much more destructive than you could ever hope to be."

"What, why you," Baal hissed.

"Look at you all look at what you are what I used to be," K said, "Now compare that to what I am now. Don't you want to share in this?"

"We did seek power when we led the revolt," Mammon said, "Is this power?"

"This is the offer to allow you to find power," K said, "All I ask is that you hear me out."

The remaining Heads looked at each other before Lucifer said, "Then make it fast, Brother."

Character Storm

"His left side," Storm said, "Freeze his left side."

Kris froze Magog's left arm again, it was just her and Geyser left out of all of the rest that had come out to keep the Magog frozen. Spyro had to divert to keep some flying creatures off of them, Cyril followed Spyro and now both were tied up in aerial combat. Scaron and Kitara had to divert to keep a swarm of Strife demons from overrunning Fenix's position and had since been on reinforcement duty. Storm and Blitz were in the middle of the battle because they were supposed to be there. She was acting as a spotter for Kris and Geyser while also helping Blitz keep the ground forces off of the two freezers.

"Storm we got company," Blitz said. Storm knew that the Char had arrived and had started to melt the ice of of Magog allowing him to move again.

"Just keep him frozen a little longer K won't be much longer," Storm replied, "Blitz Duck."

He dove under a wave of fire from one of the Char saying, "I hate these things."

"Come on K," Storm thought, "You should come through for us right about... now." At that moment Vest Man and the Sentinels arrived and started to beat back the Char that were freeing Magog. "Ok Geyser, Krista lock him down again," Storm shouted, "We've just got to hold him until he dissolves now."

Character Kalathanon

"So that is what I have to say," K finished, "Do you accept the offer?" He watched as the Heads disputed among themselves first weighing one option than another until they arrived at a decision.

"What choice do we have," Lucifer said, "With God it seems there is only ever one choice."

"So it would seem," K said, "Then my task here is done, we will go but as you find yourselves more freedom do keep in touch. You all know what you must do."

"We will do it," Lucifer said, "I will keep you in touch with the goings on here if we are to be the gate keepers then you may be our hunting party."

"I think that is exactly what we are," K said as he turned to leave.

"K," Mammon said, "Thank you."

"Don't thank the messenger thank the one who sent him," K replied as he pushed past the doors again. The realm already seemed lighter, less crushing to him. To those who were locked within it though the hammer was about to fall. The Satan had just agreed to seek out salvation for themselves. Once that happens instead of being the leaders of the condemned they would be the jail keepers. K smiled as he cleared the entrance and saw C, Scooter, Ruby, Yang, Adam, Blake, Weiss, Pyrrha, Jaune, Ren, Nora, Inarius, and Lilith waiting for him.

"Our unpredictable friends left I take it," K remarked.

"They are with the rest of DC out front," Inarius said, "You know if Storm hadn't have sent us with you Yang wouldn't have made it out of here."

"Tell me everything," K said as he gathered them up and put them on C's back.

Character Doug

"DC at ease," Doug transmitted as the last demon was ensnared in some sort of crushing prison cell. Magog had started dissolving as Storm had said it would, the Weepers were on the lookout for any remaining demons and DC was still standing.

"That was unexpected," James said as he came up beside Doug.

"Was it really that unexpected," Doug said, "After all this is one of K's plans."

"I wouldn't be so sure about that," James said, "I would be more inclined to think that God is much more involved in this than K let on."

"A fair enough point," Doug agreed, "Cortana how are things looking from your side?"

"All clear in the North," Cortana replied, "The others report clear sections also."

Doug took the information silently, he flinched as K's mind returned to his but then immediately sent a thought to his oldest friend, "Well?"

"It is done," K thought back, "Get everyone into the ships we are leaving."

"Doug to DC all members return to the ships. K is arriving here soon and we will be leaving."

"Hoo-rah," Preston said over the comm and he was quickly followed in the sentiment by the other members of DC. By the time that they had loaded up K, C and their squad had returned. K was in his human form and riding on C with the other humans, Inarius and Lilith were behind them and the Sentinels and Vest Man had faded out of the realm when Doug sent out the recall. DC was set and ready to head home.

"Hey so since we are done here now," Hoffman said to Doug, "You think we can go save Serra next?"

"We will have to run it by K first," James said, "But I would like to see your planet restored."

"We're going to another planet," Ruby said as she, Yang, Scooter, Weiss, Blake, Adam, C and K entered the Bridge.

"Well it would put some time between when we left our world and when we return," Weiss said, "So we don't cross our own time line."

"I think that Serra could use our help," K said, "Then Thedas, then your world... the world of Remnant."

"Course set for Serra," Doug said.

Spyro hit the button to send them back out of the portal and into the Hyper-Time routs that they traveled upon.

"Serra round three," Spyro said, "You know we should really record this stuff somewhere."

"Even if we did no one would believe us," Doug said as he guided the ships under his control to Serra.
