Chapter 35: Oh Not You Again

Character Marion Hawk

DC had left the Serran and Locust populations on Serra, or Lambent, since the creature seemed to be the planet. Throon and Pestilence stayed with DC as did Delta. As Fenix put it, "We are just old memories that are hanging on. These people don't need us, many don't even know us." Marion was sad to see the people of Serra leave in a sense. It left her people the last refugees that were being taken in by DC.

"Don't look so grim," Cullen said as they sat at a table in the dinning hall, "We are heading home next. Sure it will be work, it will be fighting but that is what we do. This time we can at least make a future for ourselves instead of just having to fight to secure the present."

"That has got to be the most poetic thing you've ever said," Anders said with a laugh, even Sebastian chuckled a little at the comment.

"You all can go back," Wolf said, "I'm staying with K. Back on our world I gave the Dark-Spawn something to look up to... since they are all dead now I am not needed. K though, he is worth following."

"You know I'll have to stay," Alistair said, "I am the only surviving king of any of the nations."

"I know," Wolf said, "I suspect that mother will remain as well, and Cullen, Sebastian, Vern, Leliana. Honestly I'd be surprised if more than Marion, Anders and myself stay on with DC."

"It seems that you've predicted the outcome already," Marion remarked, "I was planning on staying. I know that the world needs to be rebuilt but I think I can do more good here than there."

"Agreed," Anders said, "While I am extremely helpful against Dark-spawn and demons I am still just a bad memory to many people."

"Well if it is any consolation I for one will be sad to see you go," Vern said between bites of stuffed mushrooms. "I'll also miss this food you sure you are not staying just for the meals?"

"I'll admit between, Grif, Geyser, Lona, Reinhardt, and Dom the chefs here are among the best I've known," Marion said.

"Well thank you," Lona said as the robotized human brought another plate to their table, "I was a good cook before I got transformed, and it seems that I have only gotten better since. Kitchen is closing up" She continued as she sat down next to them. "I can't imagine what it will be like for you when we get to your planet."

"It won't be anything we can't handle," Cullen replied.

"Oh I don't doubt that," Lona said, "I just wouldn't know where to start. I never was a warrior like you all are."

"What do you mean," Marion asked, "Your in a walking fighting machine."

"I am now yes," Lona said, "But before I was just a normal person. A wife, mother, cook, housekeeper, homemaker, I was not a fighter until this happened." She tapped her arms together to indicate the robotic body.

"I think that we could use people like that," Alistair commented, "We don't have many with such a heart remaining."

"So what do you think we will find," Marion asked after a few moment of everyone silently picking at their food.

"Crashed spaceships, dead demons and Dark-spawn, flattened cities and wilderness," Morrigan replied, "That is all I expect or need for that matter."

"That is fine for recluses," Marion remarked, "But most people will want societies, cities, commerce. Living in a hut in the wild hardly seems like an appropriate solution."

"Well it would be big enough for two," Morrigan replied as she looked at Alistair, "He would need most of it I presume."

"What hey," Alistair retorted, "I could do just fine in a cave or something. Marion is right though, the people will want industry, commerce, farmland, ranches, fishing lanes, they will create an economy if we are involved or not. Being involved in constructing it though would be beneficial to us all I think."

"Ugh I think I liked you better as the whining boy we picked up with Vern," Morrigan said with a smirk, "Now you can actually combat my statements with logic and reason."

"Where will you set up," Lona asked.

"Probably wherever the most intact city is," Cullen replied, "Though most of our enemies will be gone the wild beasts will still be a threat. Walls will make the people feel safer even if it is only our swords and skill that will truly keep them safe. From that sense though we can grow trust, farms, economy, craftsmen, all that we will need to retake our world."

"To bad you can't just teach everyone to use a weapon," Marion said, "That wouldn't be practical though."

"It wouldn't be impossible," Vern amended, "Most know how to use some basic weapons due to the war, it would really be just honing their skills and confidence."

"We will probably be to busy with reconstruction to set up a very regimented program," Alistair commented, "But we might be able to provide a few instructors to run drills from time to time. It couldn't hurt to keep everyone's skill level up."

"I see you even taught him to come up with good ideas," Marion said, "Wish I had done that with Anders here."

"On the contrary," Wolf said, "I think blowing up the Chantry was a great idea. At the very least it catalyzed the people for the war that came down upon us."

"Figures that you would say that," Sebastian scoffed, "I'm not sure what to think about you just yet."

"It won't matter," Wolf said, "I'm staying here and you are not."

"What if there isn't just debris and corpses when you get back," Lona asked, "What if some of the Sith survived?"

"I'm sure K will hang around long enough to determine the safety of the area," Anders said, "If there are Sith left then DC is more than capable of handling them."

"DC," Doug called on the comms, "We will be touching down on Thedas in thirty minutes, Vern, Alistair, Cullen I request your presence on the Bridge."

"Well time to ready up," Marion said, "Lona thanks for the meal."

"Not a problem," Lona replied as she swept away with the dishes on her arms.

"We'll see you all on the ground," Anders said, "I may not be sticking around after this but I'll make sure you all have the best possible start you can get."

"Why do you always have to be the selfless hero," Marion remarked as they parted from their friends and went to get their gear.

"Stubborn nature," Anders supplied which got him an elbow in the hip and gave them both a laugh.

"Ah there you two are," Jinx said as the Khajiit intercepted them in the hallway outside their room. She was in her white cat form, which Anders had instantly taken a liking to compared to Jinx's other forms.

"Hey," Anders greeted as he picked Jinx up and set her on his shoulder, "What brought you here?"

"To see if you are staying or not," Jinx replied as she nibbled on Anders' hair, "I would hate to leave such an interesting group just to stay with you two."

"You would leave Dragon Company just to stick it out with us on a ravaged planet," Marion asked, "That is very kind of you but we are staying here."

"Good," Jinx replied, "Now question two. Why does your hair taste like tuna?"

"What it does not," Anders said.

Marion just laughed as she shoved the two into their room and went to get the weapons. Anders' staff was the easiest weapon to take care of, just oil it from time to time, Jinx didn't need weapons preferring her Voice in combat, and Marion's crossbow-pistols were the most complex. She ran her hand over the strings, testing the tension, before she took them and the staff out of the lockers and went back to the main room where she found Anders tasting his own hair and Jinx commenting, "See Tuna."

"Well I'll be," Anders remarked after he had sucked on a few strands of hair, "I do taste like tuna."

Marion grinned as she tossed him his staff, "Come on fish man, lets go."

Character Tom

"This should be all the equipment we need," Tom said as he rolled in the micro-laser lath to Scooter's workshop aboard the Hyperion ship. He, Scooter, Brick, Ruby and Yang were in Scooter's shop to test a digi-struct chamber that could make bullets. The tech had already been created but was used to make clips now they were trying to fully integrate the system.

"Ah man that is one sweet piece of machinery there," Scooter said as he looked over the lath.

"Your sure you can get this to work," Ruby asked as she reluctantly handed over Crescent Rose.

"Does a skag eat everything in sight," Scooter replied, "You bet I can."

Everyone, except Brick look at Scooter blankly. "Uh whats a skag," Tom asked.

"You don't want to know," Brick said.

"Well okay then," Yang said, "So what are we doing exactly?"

"I'm going to modify the chamber on the gun part to be a digi-struct machine," Scooter said, "It will make bullets for you while you shoot them. Now it won't actually be the chamber itself, to much pressure and such. Instead of a clip with bullets in it I am going to create a clip that has three micro digi-struct platforms in it that can feed the rounds it creates into the chamber."

"What," Brick asked, "A clip that doesn't have bullets in it?"

"Yup it doesn't have bullets in it it makes the bullets," Ruby said to help clarify everyone on the subject.

"See this is why I stick to magic," Tom remarked, "It is much easier to work with." Everyone just looked at him oddly before Scooter brought their attention back to the equipment he had Tom procure for him. Among the machinery was the laser lath, several small clamps, a really small welder, a lot of wire, some metal tubes and other various pieces as well as an impressive tool belt that Scooter was digging through.

"Ah ha," he said as he pulled out a small device that looked like a gear on a stick.

"Are you sure you know what you are doing," Tom asked.

"Yeah see the little wheel spins when the digi-struct wavelengths are set correctly," Scooter said as he rubbed the device, "Me and this little thing have been through a lot together."

Then the wheel started to spin and the room got real hectic as Scooter bustled from machine to machine with various parts in his hands and there was some fire and even a little ice, when he burnt himself, but after about forty minutes they were looking a a clip that was the perfect size for Crescent Rose.

"Well try it out," Scooter said as he tossed the now warm icepack back in the freezer.

"Are you sure your ok," Yang asked, "That doesn't look like it feels good."

"Its all good," Scooter replied, "I make sure to take third degree burns in shifts."

"We're done here go see Simon," Ruby said.

"Not yet we aren't," Scooter said, "You've got to test it, make sure it works then I'll scan it into the digi-struct system so we can make a bunch of them."

Ruby frowned but took the clip and loaded it into Crescent Rose. It fit perfectly and they all distinctly heard the static sound of the digi-struct modules within it. Ruby chambered the gun portion and a perfectly made bullet slid into place. They all looked around to figure what to shoot at, in the metal shop a ricochet would be bad for everyone involved. Tom solved the problem by summoning a clay golem. Ruby anchored Crescent Rose into the ground and fired the round into the golem which absorbed the bullet. Tom then dismissed the construct and they retrieved the bullet to inspect the expansion.

"Wow," Ruby remarked as they looked at the mushroomed bullet, "It expands even better than my current ones. Same power too, I like it."

"Great," Scooter said, "Now lets see it." He took the clip back and scanned it into the Digi-struct system. The scan process digitalized the clip but the one was soon replaced with four. "Hey yeah now that should keep you full of ammo."

"Scooter you may be crazy but you sure can make some cool stuff," Brick commented as he looked at the clips, "They really do make bullets."

"Thanks Scooter," Ruby said.

"Aw it was noth'n," Scooter said.

"If you can scan items into the digi-struct system," Yang said, "and then remake them whenever you want to... could you scan in Ember Celica."

"Sure could," Scooter said, "You want me to?"

"Yeah I've got an idea," Yang said as she took off her bracelet/gauntlets and handed them to Scooter. Ruby looked at her sister like she was crazy but Yang just gave her a smile as they watched the gloves get scanned in. "Ok now remake a pair," Yang said. Scooter called up the design and Ember Celica was reconstructed on the table under the digi-struct machine. Yang took them and put them back on, then tested them by firing off four fireballs from the gauntlet forms. "Seems just as good as they were," She said, "Now can you make a pair that has that bullet making tech built in?"

"Well I would need the specs for the bullets and," Scooter started, "actually I should have everything I need between Ruby's clip and your gauntlet designs. Give me a second." Tom watched in fascination as the greasy mechanic showed a great display of programming. Scooter combined the digi-struct bullet system with Yang's shell type and gauntlet structure to produce another set of Ember Celica. Yang traded the first set for the new set and fired off four rounds with it. The rounds were replaced as soon as the belt rotated the empty slot out of the chamber.

"Oh that is awesome," Brick said, "Can I get one of those?"

"I think your hands are a bit big," Tom said looking at Brick's boulder like fists compared with Yang's more wiry build.

"Scan in Crescent Rose," Ruby said.

"Set her up," Scooter said, "I'll have her back to you in a jiffy."

Tom watched as the elegant weapon was deconstructed by the machine then rebuilt a few seconds later at a command from Scooter. Ruby instantly wrapped the weapon up in her arms and cradled it. "Now I never have to worry about you getting broken," Ruby said with a sigh as she expanded the weapon to its full Scythe form.

"What no hug for the operator," Scooter said as he walked out from behind the machine.

"Not until you get that hand looked at," Ruby said, "Simon has a real nice setup on the Serenity, come on I'll walk you there."

"Don't get lost," Yang said as the two left the room.

"Ok now lets see what we can do with this thing," Tom said quickly.

"DC," Doug called on the comms, "We will be touching down on Thedas in thirty minutes, Vern, Alistair, Cullen I request your presence on the Bridge."

"Sounds like we don't have a lot of time," Yang muttered.

"We wouldn't anyways," Brick said, "Scooter is rarely gone for long."

"So Yang," Tom said, "You wanted to be able to create a motorcycle from the gauntlets right?"

"Got it," Yang said, "Scooter said that was impracticable that I'd need bigger hands... well." Yang waved an arm at Brick, "Here are the bigger hands."

"Yeah," Brick said, "Explosive motorcycle punches."

"That is why you had me hide in that closet then," Arie said as he pushed his way out of the back of the room. "Now from what I saw this machine uses some relatively basic command prompts to control the designs. Here Tom hook these up to those plugs over there, Yang you plug these in on the computer, Brick I'll need to measure your hands."

Tom got the power to Arie's laptop as Yang connected the computer to the digi-struct control server. Arie got Brick's fist size and was soon typing away at the keys.

"Uh Brick," Tom asked, "Do you even know how to ride a motorcycle?"

"No clue," Brick said, "I'll just stay by Yang and let her drive, this thing can seat two right?"

"If I could get the design smaller I would have made it just for me," Yang said, "Since I am using your hands to fit all the tech required it is only fitting that you get a seat to ride in."

"Ok," Arie said, "Here we go starting construction now." The hum of the digi-struct machine started up and momentarily Brick had a pair of infinite ammo, fire ball flinging, gauntlets. In Tom's book giving the berserker a pair of the gauntlets was almost as bad of an idea as the mallow-frogs, almost.

"These. Are. Awesome," Brick announced, "Where is the motorcycle?"

"You will have to run the construction sequence to create the motorcycle," Arie said, "You can activate it with this button in the palm." Brick pressed the button and two digi-struct arms extended from the gloves. These arms then constructed the motorcycle before retracting back into the gloves.

"That is amazing," Yang said, "Come on Brick time to teach you how to ride a hog."

"Hey what you said you would drive," Brick said as Yang set him in the driver seat.

"Oh don't be such a baby about it," Yang said, "besides we are inside the ship you won't be going to fast. Tom, Arie catch you later." With that Yang sent them out of the door of the shop and down the hall.

"Can someone tell me what just happened," Arie said.

"Touch down in twenty minutes," Doug announced.

"I think that we just earned a pre-landing beer," Tom said, "What is your favorite?"

With a smile the two left the shop and headed to the cafe on the ship. The Washburns were there as was Tina, the three deeply wrapped up in conversation about combustion engines vs. ion engines, or more accurately Hoban and Tina were talking about explosions while Zoe was talking about strategies that were effective when using explosives. Tom and Arie filled the seats to the right of Tina and ordered their beers before falling into the conversation as the team approached Thedas.

Character Qui-gon

"I'm telling you these new kids are unlike anything I've ever see," Qui-gon said to Gandalf as they along with Legolas and Gimli were heading to the hangar to get into one of the Pelicans.

"You said they were able to fend off these Sith," Gandalf stated, "Even with my powers I can not cause my staff or sword to block a light-saber... and you say they fought them like the sabers were nothing?"

"Exactly it was as if they could project their own energy field around their weapons to prevent them from being harmed," Qui-gon confirmed, "That Adam fellow even canceled out the beam of a light-saber."

"If we get the opportunity to meet up with these teams RWBY and JNPR correct," Legolas said, "I would think it a good idea to follow them about for a time, see what they can do."

"Aye one should know the abilities of their allies," Gimli added.

"Hey you four ready to go," Zora asked as she and Terrador entered the room with Jensen.

"We are now," Jensen said, "I'm the pilot."

"Jensen, do you think we can follow those new teams down," Qui-gon asked.

"We could," Jensen said, "I must admit I wouldn't mind talking to this other Adam, just to clear up some things."

"I'm sure," Gandalf commented as they got into the Pelican and Zora and Terrador readied to launch out of the hangar, "You having the same first name might complicate things."

"It can't be that bad," Legolas said, "After all there are several Johns and Liliths in the company already."

"Bah that is nothing," Gimli retorted, "Why there was once a clan in which every man had the same name. It go so bad that they started calling themselves by their wives' names to clear up the confusion."

"You couldn't use beard recognition," Jensen asked as he guided the Pelican out of the hangar.

"No," Gimli replied, "They all wove the same braids into their beards. Most infuriating bunch to deal with."

Qui-gon and Gandalf shared a laugh at Jensen's confused look. Gimli's response was not what their metal friend had expected to his jibe.

"They actually use their beards to distinguish between similar looking members of the different clans," Gandalf explained.

"Oh sorry then, tasteless joke," Jensen said, "Do you know which Pelican RWBY and JNPR are riding in?"

"They are not in a Pelican," Terrador said via the comms as they entered the atmosphere of Thedas, "They seem to have chosen Spyro and Cynder as their transportation."

"They rode through space on the backs of..." Qui-gon remarked amused, "I'd like to see the spacesuits they have that are rated for that sort of travel."

"Qui-gon," Starkiller called as his Saber fighter pulled up beside them, "You heading to RWBY and JNPR also?"

"We are," Qui-gon replied, "You can feel it too then."

"I had thought it was just my imagination at first but yes I feel it," Star replied, "I hear that Marion, Anders, Jinx, and Wolf will be guiding Spyro's group to one of the possible city locations. This should be interesting if nothing else."

"From the banter perhaps," Gandalf remarked, "I get the feeling that you are not referring to just that however."

"No," Qui-gon affirmed, "There are two reasons that we, Star and myself, believe that this will not be as simple as everyone wants to think it will be. One the Sith don't give up they just find another way to try and get what they want. Two Ruby and Adam are going to be very interesting to the Sith."

"Why would they be interesting to the Sith," Zora asked.

"Everything has some connection to the Force, God I guess," Star explained, "But Adam and especially Ruby seem to not only have this connection but can seemingly pour-forth or absorb an almost limitless supply of connections thus making their abilities far more potent than any other living thing."

"Except God obviously," Jensen said, "Do you think they could beat K?"

"I think Adam, or what Adam was, already did," Terrador said, "He used to be Void and Despair you know."

"Aye word spreads around this group pretty fast," Gimli replied.

"Considering that Ruby feels even more powerful than Adam," Qui-gon said, "I'd bet that she could wipe the floor with every last one of us, and that isn't considering her friends considerable abilities. She could use training though if she was to become as powerful as she could, but maybe that is why she was led to us."

"So she could be as powerful as she needs to be," Legolas stated, "I can see why the Sith would be eager to get their hands on her."

"I think that Adam is the one we should worry about," Jensen said, "Through him the Sith could get to Blake and through Blake, Ruby."

"Our thoughts exactly," Star said as they came in for a landing. Qui-gon thought he felt two extra people with the group already on the ground but kept it to himself.

"Spyro, Cynder, RWBY, JNPR, and our Thedas friends and Jinx," Star said, "We're here to lend an extra hand."

"Star is that you," Yang asked over the radio, "You have your own ship? I need one of those."

"I don't think I can wear gauntlets big enough to digi-struct one of those," Brick said as the back door of the Pelican opened and Qui-gon saw that the big man had joined up with Marion's expedition as well as Scooter.

"There sure are a lot of us for such a simple task," Marion observed, "Then again when is anything we do 'simple?'"

"Never has been before," Spyro admitted.

"That is almost prophetic," Qui-gon said, "I sense the Sith are still here, in force."

"And they are heading this way," Star added, "I sense at least fifty of them."

"That is less than two to one," Jensen said, "Could be worse."

"It is," Qui-gon said, "These Sith will have light-sabers, conventional weapons wont work against them."

"Our weapons worked against them," Adam said, "And the two of you have light-sabers of your own."

"Spyro, Cynder," Marion said, "Stay here with RWBY and JNPR, Qui-gon you stay as well. Star with us, if there are more ahead we will need at least one weapon that can block their sabers."

"I shall remain here as well," Legolas said, "Qui-gon is just as much a part of our team as he is yours."

"Two and two," Anders said, "Seems reasonable. Just don't get killed."

"Same to you all," Qui-gon said, "Go now the Sith will soon be upon us."

The rest of the team piled onto Terrador and Zora then headed into the woods to the East.

"Don't worry about these guys," Adam said, "We've taken them on before we can take them again."

"How do you keep you weapons from being destroyed when you block," Legolas asked.

"With Aura," Pyrrha answered.

"Its like a force field," Jaune added, causing the two teams to laugh to some inside joke.

"Seriously though," Yang said, "we project an energy field that counters their light-sabers' you all can't?"

"There were only a few who could project the Force in such a way," Qui-gon replied, "The last was one Revan he was said to have deflected sabers with his hands alone before he vanished."

"Ever wonder what happened to him," Adam asked as he drew Wilt from Blush.

"No one knows," Qui-gon replied, "Best we can tell is he turned himself into a being of pure Force energy."

The readying of weapons drowned out what Adam said but Qui-gon got the feeling that it was something along the lines of 'personality issues' as Adam climbed into a tree. Then they appeared, fifty Sith. All garbed in black robes with hoods, red tunics and black pants with red embroidery along the sides. These were not just Sith they were Sith masters, some of the most dangerous opponents that Qui-gon could imagine.

"You," one of the Sith said as he drew his red light-sabers, "You'll pay for destroying our fleet. Then your friends will pay."

"I think not," Qui-gon replied as he drew his green saber. Spyro and Cynder took off to get better shots at the Sith from the air, Scooter morphed his armor into its missile car form and Brick hopped into the turret.

A moment before the two sides clashed a crushing force descended upon Qui-gon and the others. He recognized the technique and did what he could to counter it but it was his will against fifty, even with Star at his side the two wouldn't have been able to free themselves never mind the others. Then to his surprise Ruby and Weiss slammed into the now approaching Sith. Then Blake appeared behind two of the Sith who had to divert their attention to her, Sun was singlehandedly keeping five of the other master busy. The force of the cage was not lessening as the Sith fell but it only seemed to be able to hold, Qui-gon, Spyro, Cynder, Legolas, Scooter and Brick. Ruby and her friends were totally immune to the effect of the Force.

Yang was in full fury burn mode, literally leaving a trail of fire behind her as she burned a path through the Sith. Jaune was beside Ren as the two fended off six Sith, Nora was almost playing with the Sith that were attacking her, and Pyrrha was keeping another four at bay with a constant barrage of bullets.

Then Adam crashed into the middle of the Sith, an explosion of violet light heralded his arrival. Time seemed to slow down for Qui-gon as Adam stared into him, the mask, the sword, the hair... Qui-gon understood exactly the extent of what was meant by Adam being Void and Despair. Adam was not just himself he was one being that was scattered through time but also knew who he was... Adam was Revan. Or perhaps it was the other way round, it didn't matter though Qui-gon managed to nod to Adam as he started to engaged the Sith.

"Your starting up a fight you just can't win," Adam said as he sucked in all the power that the Sith were using against them. Freed from the prison Qui-gon joined Adam while Legolas covered them with archery fire. Without the Force to guide them the Sith fell quickly to the barrage of strikes and bullets. As the last Sith slid off of Wilt Adam said, "Embrace the ending you were dealt." Then he flicked the blood off of his blade and sheathed it in one fluid motion.

"This Aura must be far more powerful than you let on," Qui-gon said to Adam, "None of you were even slowed down by the prison."

"The Force is exerting your will on the energy of this creation," Adam said, "Aura is your will."

"Was that all," Yang asked as she walked over to them still on fire.

"Are you an Archon," Legolas asked.

"A what," Yang replied.

"Like Anjali or Ghost," Adam said, "No, Archons are creatures of fire, Yang is a spirit of fire, the effect is very similar but Yang here is immune to fire where as Ghost or Anjali could still be burned if the fire is hot enough."

"Wait are you saying that there are others who can be all fiery," Sun asked, "That is cool, or hot I guess."

"We should catch up with the others," Spyro said as he and Cynder landed beside them.

"Brick," Yang said, "Bike."

"Hey this should be fun," Brick said as he hopped out of the turret on Scooter's car, which Ruby promptly got in.

"We should hurry," Qui-gon said as a ripple of Force washed over him, "It seems that they have run into Sith as well."

"Terrador can keep them at bay for a while with his boulder form," Cynder said, "And we don't even know what Zora is capable of."

"Even so the remaining Sith will be more powerful," Qui-gon replied, "They can fuel their power from the death of their fellow Sith."

"One for one is it," Ruby asked, "So these others will be fifty Sith more powerful than they look."

"Exactly," Qui-gon replied as he got onto Zora's back, "Lets go."

Character Adam Jensen

"Well this is great," Jensen remarked as they sat inside of a shell of electrified earth. The fifty Sith that they had tried to divert around only led them into the middle of even more Sith.

"I count a hundred out there," Star said, "I've sent for Qui-gon and the rest. Until then we just have to hope they don't get through the shell."

"I still don't see why we can't move," Marion said, "Even you are stuck?"

"We are all stuck," Zora said, "Even with our suits this force is to strong for us."

"Good thing our powers don't require us to move to use them," Terrador commented.

"I think I can over power it," Jensen said, "My scans indicate that this is an energy field that is holding us. If I run power through my stealth system while also distorting the field with an EMP grenade the result should render me immune to this restraining."

"Try it and if it works take my sabers and go to work on those Sith," Star said with a hint of anger.

"I'll take them out for you," Jensen said as he cloaked then launched an EMP grenade into the air. The combination sent all his system into reboot mode but after a few seconds he was fully functional again and free to move around. "Ah what one can do with hardened internal systems."

"Don't cut yourself," Star said as Jensen took his sabers.

"I won't," Jensen replied, "Terrador can you open up a hole just big enough for me to get through?"

"Half way up the side in front of me," Terrador said, "Hurry, before the Sith notice."

Adam picked out the hole and made it through in a few deft jumps. With his cloaking system still active he landed among the Sith without them noticing him. His steps were silent, he was invisible, and the Sith seemed not to have noticed that he was no longer under the constraints of the prison.

"Some sort of EMP went off but nothing else," one of the Sith said.

"I don't care about that," another replied, "I am more concerned that the Jedi sent a message to his friend. Somehow our brethren were outmatched by a single Jedi and some hurrg..."

The two died as Jensen silently slid his arm blades out of their hearts and moved to the other side of the remaining eighteen Sith that were on this side of the earthen globe that Terrador was maintaining and Zora was keeping charged to deflect the Light-sabers. Jensen reversed his blade and stabbed another through the neck as he passed and a forth through the back.

"Assassin," One of the Sith exclaimed, "Cast out electric nets to cancel the stealth field."

Jensen smiled as the electricity was channeled into his extra reserves. The only reason he had let the EMP affect him was to effect the rest and cancel the force's hold over him. He passed through the remaining sixteen in the group without any of them even knowing what was coming. As the last died he called Star, "Ok this group is gone which way to the next group?"

"Head around to your left there will be another group of twenty," Star replied, "Good work Jensen."

Jensen took the compliment in silence as he moved to the second group. This group he took out the same as the first.

"Moving on to the third group," Jensen updated Star as he continued his leftward path.

"Qui-gon and the others will meet you," Star said, "The remaining groups have gathered back where your first encounter happened expect a fight."

Jensen soon caught sight of Spyro and Cynder moving through the trees with the others in their group following or riding them. The Sith also seemed to have noticed them as the sixty remaining Sith came sprinting around the earthen dome.

"Look out," Jensen called to his friends. He regretted not using the comms immediately as the prison clamped down on him again. "Ah come on," He snarled.

"There is the assassin," one of the Sith said, "Kill him."

"I don't think so," Adam said as the black garbed man and his friends walked right on without pause. The Sith, while surprised at the immunity to the Force Prison displayed by the DC members from Remnant, reacted quickly to this new development. Three of the Sith launched arcs of lightening at Adam. Adam took the bolts in his chest and the impact knocked him to the ground.

"You'll pay for that," Blake said.

Ruby then appeared in the middle of the Sith, she was a dervish of blade and bullets. Yang joined her sister as the rest of the team ran into the Sith as if they were nothing more than an annoyance. Adam seemed to cause a reverse explosion and the crushing force lifted allowing Jensen and the rest to join in the fight turned slaughter. Marion came crashing down on the Sith with Jinx at her side.

"Beg for mercy it won't help," Jinx remarked as the Sith turned to flee. Marion's bolts took down the runners while Jensen and Star assisted Cynder and Zora in rounding up the rest of the Sith. When the clean up was finished, Jensen and Adam were standing beside each other.

"Impressive," Adam said, "How did you keep them from detecting you?"

"Full system stealth field," Jensen replied, "How did you cancel their power?"

"Void," Adam replied, "And a few old tricks I picked up."

"You know my first name is also Adam," Jensen said.

"Yes I was going to ask about that," Adam said, "Do you go by Jensen or should I go by Taurus?"

"Your last name is bull," Jensen remarked. "Hmm... Sarif it seems you still manage to get the better of me."

"Who," Adam asked.

"Oh nothing just an old bet with a friend who is long dead," Jensen replied, "I must admit I didn't know what to think of you at first, still don't but a few things have been clarified."

"Well if your looking for more fighting to help clarify the rest," Qui-gon remarked, "This forest is filled with Sith and they are only getting stronger as we kill these others off."

"I wonder how the others are holding up against this level of resistance," Ruby said, "If the Sith can hold even Spyro and Terrador then what can the others do against them."

"Oh I wouldn't worry about the rest," Star said, "Janell is powerful enough to counter the Sith, as are the Riders, K, C, the Primes, Tyreal, etc. etc."

"That may be true," Jensen said, "But they are powerful enough to level the Sith themselves not to free those around them while the Sith are still alive. I suspect that the other groups are being dragged along by the one or two who are capable of fighting the Sith."

"Then I'm glad we've got you," Wolf said, "I would hate it if I couldn't kill these fools."

"We all would," Marion agreed, "Now you said there were more out here right? Then lets stop standing around and get to this city." With that they continued into the forest.

"Star," Jensen said, "do you think that you and Qui-gon could replicate this prison effect that these Sith use?"

"We could," Star replied, "You thinking about us holding them while they try to hold us?"

"I'm thinking that when Adam does that negation you hit them with their own technique," Jensen said.

"We'll see what we can do," Star said.

They continued through the forest without incident. Once through they found themselves on the side of a road which Marion started heading down. To their left was the forest, to the right pasture land, both concerned Jensen.

"Spyro, Cynder, Terrador, Zora, you four form an outer ring to help deflect sniper fire, Scooter lets put your vehicle in the back," Jensen said as he and Wolf moved up to Marion and Anders who were leading the group.

"Stay behind me," Wolf said as his Arch form moved up past Marion. Adam put himself between Anders and the trees while the human form of Wolf guarded Marion's right. Jaune and Pyrrha filled in the gaps between the dragons with their shields. In such a formation the group moved down the road.

"I can feel the Sith," Qui-gon commented, "Their presence is getting stronger as we approach our destination."

"How much worse could it be," Jensen asked.

"Bad enough that even my skill will be ineffectual," Adam said, "I can keep them from crushing us but I won't be able to remove their connection to the force... they have a true Sith Lord among them."

"How do you know that," Jensen asked.

"An old trick I picked up," Adam replied.

"So these guys won't be completely inept," Gandalf remarked, "Even if they can't hold us still they could empower themselves with the energy instead."

"Making them stronger and faster," Jinx said, "It is of no matter."

"Perhaps," Jensen said, "Perhaps."

Character Spyro

The city was still in very good repair for having been overrun by first demons then the Sith. They knew that somewhere in the city of stone streets and towering, wooden, buildings a Sith Lord of the highest caliber was lurking, hunting them just as they hunted him.

"Any news," Spyro asked.

"He is still clouding his exact position," Star replied as they carefully wound their way through the streets towards the center of town. "If I had to guess I would say that he will be waiting for us in the middle of the square with whatever Sith he has remaining."

Spyro was going to say something but they rounded the corner and found themselves face to face with a monstrosity. The twenty foot tall mass of flesh was busy consuming bodies of demons from a pile that rested in the center of the city.

"Oh not you again," Marion said, "Orsino why don't you just die?"

"Marion," the flesh creature said as it turned towards her. It's face was a distorted pair of eyes and a nose above a circular mouth of fanged teeth, "I see you've brought more friends to deal with me. I have not been idle my power is beyond measure!"

"We'll see about that," Adam said.

Orsino waved a hand towards them. Spyro started to feel the immobilization effect but Adam dispelled the prison, surprising Orsino. The large mage/demon/Sith hissed at them before charging into Terrador, sending the large dragon flying into the air.

"He is using the Force to amplify his strength and speed," Qui-gon shouted as he and Gimli dove out of Orsino's way.

Spyro felt two people land on his back then he heard Yang say, "Get us on him." Looking over his shoulder he saw Yang and Ruby on his back, Yang was burning so hot that the metal of his suit was starting to glow red.

"I'll cover you," Wolf said as his Arch form engaged Orsino. As the two fleshy demons wailed at each other, Adam, Qui-gon and Star battled against the Force prison, Jensen, Jinx and the human Wolf rained down arrows and bolts into a group of Sith that had come from a road across the square. JNPR moved to engage the new Sith as did Cynder, while Zora was helping Terrador unlock his armor.

Spyro took to the air and dropped a trail of fire against Orsino but the Sith just caused the fire to curve around him. Spyro then went in low and pelted ice spears into Orsino's back but they didn't seem to affect the demon. Yang and Ruby jumped off on this pass and that got Orsino's attention. He howled as Yang sent parts of him on fire as she walked up his back with Ruby slicing away with Crescent Rose beside her. Spyro saw a Sith from the ground jump up towards the two girls as they made their way to Orsino's head. Spyro had other plans for the would be Sith though as he swooped down and grabbed the man in his claws before ripping him in half.

"Spyro look out," Cynder called out.

Spyro rolled and barely missed getting a light-saber through his back. Turning towards the direction of the thrown weapon he saw three more Sith on the roof of a building. One caught his saber as it returned to him. Cynder had joined Spyro in the air now that Terrador and Zora had moved in to assist JNPR and the rest of RWBY in fighting off the Sith in the courtyard. Gandalf was riding Cynder's back and he nodded to Spyro as they went after the Sith on the roof. A bright, searing, light from Gandalf's staff caught the Sith off guard and gave Spyro and Cynder the opening to deal with the Sith.

Circling back around Spyro saw Ruby and Yang both coming down on Orsino's head like two meteors from space. Yang hit first, creating a flaming shock wave that melted chunks of skin off Orsino's head, then Ruby hit the mage cleaving his massive four foot head in half. Spyro dove to catch Ruby before she hit the ground but to his surprise she launched herself up to him with a shot from Crescent Rose. Yang followed Ruby and the two landed on his back as the bi-headed Orsino crashed to the ground.

"That was fun," Yang said as she cooled down.

"Oh dear me what have we gotten into now," Cynder said.

"The young are always eager to go to war," Gandalf remarked, "Especially ones like these."

Spyro looked over the two girls, who were smiling at each other, they reminded him of him and Cynder when they were young. Secure in their abilities, in the prime of life, and now they would remain like that forever... Spyro thought he like the prospect. At least a few DC members would be youthful not like him and most of the others who were at the least forty among the humans and much older than that among the other species.

"Ok ground is clear," Marion said, "Lets get the message out this city is relatively sound."

Spyro landed and let Ruby and Yang off before patching Marion's voice into his suit's comm system. "You're in go ahead," he said.

"K we've got an intact city here," Marion said.

"Good that is three cities that are useable," K replied, "Alistair and Vern's groups also found useable cities. Head north to Kirkwall to see if it still stands then we will see about clearing out these Sith."

"K we found Orsino," Marion said, "He's been killed three times now. Any ideas on how to keep him in the ground?"

"Hmm, I may have one or two," K replied, "I'll meet you in Kirkwall we can talk there."

"Qui-gon," Spyro asked, "Are we clear to fly?"

"The Sith presence is greatly reduced in this part of the world," Qui-gon said, "Flying is an option again."

"Pile on," Cynder said.

"Yes," Jaune exclaimed, "No more walking through forests and stuff."

Spyro smiled as the groups climbed onto him, Cynder, Terrador and Zora and they took to the air.
