Chapter 12

Scorpius' PoV:

I still couldn't believe what Ricky had told me.

I mean, self-harm was a big shock, but not as big as Ricky's confession to me about him being in love with Damon.

Ricky was gay?

Well, bisexual, as far as he knows. He's usually interested in girls, he said. Damon is just an exception.

I don't blame him for not going to Vector, actually. Like, if he can become my friend, I have Albus and Ricky, so I don't have to be afraid of Damon anymore.

I'm actually not scared of Danni at all. She won't physically hurt me.

I was allowed to leave the Hospital Wing the next morning. I went to my dorm to quickly get my books and then rushed off to Herbology.

I walked into Greenhouse 4. I quickly took a seat next to Albus, trying to ignore the looks I was given by other students. From behind me, I felt Ricky leaning over and squeezing my shoulder comfortingly. I turned around and smiled at him, before turning back and focusing on Professor Longbottom's lecture on some weird plant I didn't know the name of.

I was passed a note by Albus.

Have you had any trouble yet?

I smiled at his note. He was so worried about me all the time. I thought about what Madam Valderrama told me yesterday.

I need to let him in…

I scribbled back a note: No, thanks for asking. You?

Ricky won't talk to me… He won't tell me what's bothering him and I hate it. I mean, I'm his friend, right?

He probably has a good reason why he doesn't tell you. Be patient. He'll tell you.

I hope he will. Anyways, I have a question: do you want to come over during Christmas Break? The Potter-Weasley clan is spending Christmas Break together, like always. I usually take Damon and Ricky, but since we're not friends anymore, I planned to ask you. You want to come?

I looked at the note, before looking at him and shaking my head, whispering "no".

Albus looked hurt. He turned his head away from me and started to pay attention to Professor Longbottom.

Nice job, Scorpius. You made him angry, you fucktard!

"Hey guys," Rose waved happily, walking over to where we were studying in the Library.

"Hey," we all replied.

Rose looked at all of us questioningly. "Okay, what's wrong? You three all look miserable."

"I'm fine!" Ricky said a little too quick to be genuine, but Rose was more focused on Albus and me.

"You two are fighting. What's wrong?"

"Nothing, just a little hurt…"

"How come?" Rose asked Albus.

"Nothing. Actually, Scorpius can we talk for a minute?"

"Uhm… Sure…" I said hesitantly.

Albus stood up and walked out of the Library. I followed quietly.

We entered an empty classroom. Once I got inside, Albus closed the door and turned to face me, the hurt clearly shown on his face.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why don't you wanna come over?"

"I don't know."

"That's bullshit, Scorpius."

"It's just… I don't know how your parents will respond. I mean, I'm a Malfoy, after all…"

"Do you think they'll mind? Well, Uncle Ron is still a little anti-Malfoy, but he'll get over that once he meets you! You're an amazing person! And my parents don't care about someone's last name, as long as they're nice people, which you are."

I couldn't really think of anything to say to that.

I nodded, swallowed, and said: "A-Alright. I'll come over. But I'll have to ask my parents first."

Albus smiled again, the smile that I really loved most about Albus' looks. My heart skipped a beat.

"Now, can we go back? I think Rose is dying to know why you were so off earlier."

"One more thing, I told Madam Valderrama about your self-harm. She told me to check on you every once in a while. Can I see your arms?"

"Uhm… Do you really want to see?"

"You mean you haven't stopped?" Albus questioned, tears filling his eyes.

"I have, but I just can't help but feel like more of a freak when someone sees my scars."

"I don't think you're a freak, Scorp," Albus said, enveloping me in a hug. I noticed how he started using my nickname again, now that we've sorted out our issues.

I leant into the hug, not wanting the warm feeling I got to go away. Soon enough, however, Albus let go of me and took a step back.

I rolled up the sleeve of my hoodie, closing my eyes when the scars became visible. I hated them. They made me that much more ugly.

"You haven't done anything. I'm proud of you, Scorp," Albus said with a sigh of relief. It made me feel good knowing Albus was proud of me.

"Alright, now, have you eaten anything today?"

I shook my head. "I went straight to Herbology after I was released from the Hospital Wing."

"Then we're going down to the kitchens right now."

"I'm not hungry."

"I don't care."

3rd Person:

"Why are they taking so long?" Rose huffed in annoyance. She and Ricky had been sitting in the library, waiting for Scorpius and Albus to come back. They were still gone.

"Maybe they're snogging in a classroom," Ricky snickered, receiving a slap from Rose.

"Albus has a girlfriend, in case you hadn't noticed." She said "girlfriend" as if it was a disease or something.

"Not a big fan of Danni, I guess?" Ricky laughed.

"I hate her. You?"

"Don't like her either." If it wasn't for her, I would maybe have Damon for myself already.

"There they are," Rose said, standing up.

"Hey guys," Albus said. "Scorp and I are going to the kitchens. Scorp hasn't eaten all day and he's starving."

"But lunch is in an hour," Ricky said.

Albus seemed to be thinking. "I'm sure Scorp is so hungry he will eat lunch too."

Scorpius didn't really look that happy, though.

"What's wrong, Scorpius?" Rose asked, looking at the Malfoy boy worriedly.

"Huh? Oh, nothing." He seemed to be deep in thought. "We'll be off then."

"Alright, see you at lunch!"

"Scorpius didn't look that happy, did you notice?" Ricky said.

Rose nodded. "I wonder what's wrong with him…"

"Probably just because he is hungry. Let's just continue on our homework. We'll see them at lunch. We can ask then."

Rose nodded and started on her Defense homework.

So, this chappie and chapter 13 will most likely be fillers. I'll use them as a way to sort of "close off" this whole Scorpius in a coma thing. After that chapters will get more exciting, I promise!
