Wow this took much longer than I expected. A really big sorry to everyone reading this! Life just got in the way.. I guess you could say I got, distracted? Eh ;)

On a more serious note, I hope you all enjoy this last, happy sad moment, for this chapter. Is it worth the wait? Probably not. But I hope it leaves you feeling a little more finished than before.

Enjoy!

I stood at the altar, wearily looking down at the crowd that had gathered, setting in plush red seats, each wearing black suits, dresses, even Clank was in his secret agent get up. Though this was far from being a fanboy club for Clanks alter ego. It was a proper goodbye, something I was too distracted to do for the past month, but I came to the realisation that I needed this to move on, and to pay tribute to a man whom I only knew for a couple of weeks at most.

"Alister Azimuth was a great man," I started my speech generically, looking over at the small crowd. There was only so many people who knew him, and the number was close to no one at all. Many of the attendees had only heard of him, through news reports, or me. Qwark, Clank, Talwyn, Cronk, Zephyr, Sasha and Sigmund were to my left, Jarvis, a couple of hardy Vullards, and some others were to my right, whom I guessed knew Alister over the years he spent hiding from Tachyon.

"To many people in the galaxy he was the man who almost ripped the fabric of time that holds the universe together apart. But those who know the full story, or knew him during the years of Tachyons reign, will know that he was not to blame for these events. Whilst obsessed with fixing his mistakes, he was also a man of many adventures, and for me personally, a link to my father and a snippet of his life. He told me stories of how Kaden and him were trapped in a box for three days on Kerchu, after having the most spicy dish you could possibly imagine, only the night before. He told me how he hoverbooted around the Krell Canyons on planet Lumos, breaking limbs in the process but never ceasing their adventure. In the short time that I knew him, he wasn't just a link to my father, he was my father. For that, I will remember him for the rest of my life, spreading the good side of him to anyone who doesn't. Thank you."

There was a small applaud as I walked away from the altar to the the coffin in the room, a duplicate to the one that Alister was buried in on Fastoon. I heard that the Vullards had built the original one from scraps and old blueprints found on Fastoon long ago, and being a honorary Vullard myself, I was met with great reception when I asked a second one to be constructed for this event. At the coffin I stopped for a bit, and stared at it, thinking deeply. By the time I walked away however, I felt lighter, not anymore dragged down by fate. I whispered my last goodbye before heading back to my reserved red plush seat next to Tal.

Next was Jarvis, the Terachnoid who helped us infiltrate Pollyx industries. He spoke well of Alister, spreading some humour through his insane story of how the unlikely two met, which led to the legendary favour Alister cashed in on. When finished, a Vullard going by the name of Vcexion spoke up about how he was one of the few Vullards to befriend the Lombax, offering advice to each other in technology and knowledge often to do with the Great Clock. Lastly, Qwark got up, as he was the host of the event, and thanked everyone for showing up to pay their respects. Soon after only Clank Talwyn and I remained in the room.

"There is one last thing, Ratchet," Clank said as we left our chairs. I stopped, and turned round to look at my longtime friend. He stuck a hand out next to his chest compartment, of which a familiar object maximised out from. A wrench. Alisters Praetorian Guard wrench. I didn't even know he kept that, I thought we left it back at Alisters old hideout on Torren IV. Back then, I didn't want any part of it; but now…

"He'd want you to have it."

I slowly reached out to take the wrench, hesitating just before I grabbed it, to which Clank responded by closing the gap himself and I grabbed onto the handle as he let go. The wrench, as if sensing my race, expanded to its full length, giving me the slight urge to take it apart and get an idea of how it worked, though I'm sure I'd find the time to do that later. Hopefully when I'm not being attacked or saving the galaxy from the numerous threats it holds.

The three of us then decided to leave, and we made our way to Aphelion who had been found and delivered by Cronk and Zephyr. Stepping out of the building, I looked up at the sky with optimism, something I hadn't been doing a lot of since I lost Clank. For the first time in awhile I felt really good about myself, and the fact that I was accompanied by the two people I'm closest to in the universe was certainly helping too.

Aphelion opened her hatch as we neared, and we hopped inside. She started up, and I looked over at my friends beside me.

"Where to now?" Talwyn asked the simple question. But my mind went blank; for the first time in my life, I didn't know where I was going next. Luckily I have Clank for these situations though, as he knew the answer.

"Home."

"And wheres' that?" Talwyn countered, to which they both looked at me again. Though this time, I knew what to say.

"Well you're both here, so I'm already home," I said, which got three smiles.

"But! I'm beat, so lefts get back to my apartment so I can get some shuteye,"

"Hah, sure thing 'Captain Ratchet.'"

And with that, we flew off. Not a bad thought on our minds, not a problem to fix, nor an issue to solve. No more distractions.

The End.

And, that's that. A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has come this far and is reading this message! I hope it was an enjoyable read, and up to your expectations. Bye for now...
