No Place Like us

"No," he said. "She doesn't know of our gifts."

"Well, your gonna have to tell her sooner or later, or for the better." Rosalie said and left Edward on his own.

"How is she, Edward?" A voice asked him.

"She's fine, Tommy." He said. "But how are you alive?"

"I'm 'not' alive." He stated him. "I am an angel, and I came to check on my wife."

"If your an angel," he asked. "then how are you even here, and not up there, watching over her?"

"Because I didn't have a choice on living with her," he muffled. "but that didn't ever stop me, or you from loving her."

"So, your just gonna give her a life of a vampire?" He questioned.

"Yes," he said. "she will have longer to live without any problems. All you need to do is have a little faith in her."

"You've been trying to save her from a sudden death?" He asked.

"Yes," he said. "I have."

"So, she's gonna need all the strength she needs," he said. "to keep her and all of us alive."

"Yes," he replied. "She will."

I could be recognized from the distance.

I could be the biggest name on the screen.

Singing and dancing forever

"You have to go now." Edward said, as Gabriella turned on side, with a groan.

"I guess," he said. "I have to."

Then he was gone, as Edward held Gabriella's hand.

"Hey, are you alright?" He asked.

"Yes," she said. "I am."

"Was it a nightmare?" He asked her.

"Probably," she said. "it was. But who were you talking to?"

"A ghost from heaven above." He said, guessing that 'Tommy' was out of the question.

"And who was this ghost?" She asked him.

"No-one," he lied. "it was just a ghost drifting out of sight."

"Your are impossible at times." she said. "you know that?"

"I guess," he sighed. "that's why I'm with you. To be impossible to you, Gabriella."

"I'm guessing that is why." She said, as he kissed her on the lips.

"So, what happened why I was asleep?" She asked, hoping for answer to her question.

"Nothing really." He said, glancing at her.

Signing my for who ever.

It's all in my reach, yeah.

If I give all that I got,

I'll get there to the top.

"So, can Alice see my future now?" She asked and he nodded 'no'.

"No," he said. "Alice can't see your future anymore."

"Why?" She asked, then he looked down at the floor.

"Because our child is crushing from the inside-out." He said, putting his hand on her stomach.

"So, this child is killing me?" She asked.

"Unfortunately," he said. "it is killing you."

"I guess your right, Edward." She said, as Alice walked into the room.

"Hi, Edward." Alice said, smiling over at Gabriella.

"Hi, Alice." he said. "How are you?"

"I'm fine." She said and walked over to Gabriella, who was now sitting up.

"How is the baby doing?" She asked, touching her stomach.

"It's fine." she said, grinning.

"Have you thought of any names for it yet?" She asked.

"No," She said. "Not yet."

"What about Trish, or maybe Ally?" She asked her.

"I have definitely," she said. "Not thought of those names, Alice."

If I get there to the top

But I don't even wanna to go

If I have to go there alone

So

"Well, now will be a good time to come up with some names for the baby, Gabriella." She said and went to do some hunting.

'Okay, I will think of some names for the baby.' Gabriella thought to herself.

"Hi, Gabriella." Jasper said, greeting her.

"Hi, Jasper." She greeted back.

"Where is Alice?" He asked, worried.

"She went out hunting on her own." She told him. "There's no need to worry."

"I have a right to be worried about her." He protested.

"I didn't mean it that way, Jasper." She exclaimed.

"I know," he said. "you didn't."

"But I guess your right," She said, agreeing. "You do have a right to worry about her."

"So, your agreeing with what I said about Alice?" He asked.

"Of course," She grinned.

Then he left the room, as Edward came back to check on Gabriella.

"Hi, Edward." She said, greeting him.

"Hi, Gabriella." He said, cuddling her.

"How are you?" She asked him.

Set me on top of that mountain,

Let me fly to the end of the world,

Yeah, I can go anywhere,

"Fine." he said. "You?"

"I'm fine." she replied. "Just pregnant. That's all."

"With my baby." He added for her.

"So, what's gonna happen if I die?" She obviously didn't know what was going to happen.

"Well, we haven't even thought of that yet." He said. "But you will be one of us in no time."

"You mean I'll be a vampire?" She asked.

"Of course you'll be a vampire," he said. "You just won't be able to go out into the sun light. During the day time."

She yawned and Edward decided that it was time for her to go to sleep. After the long day had come and gone.

"Troy, you can't do this to me." She screamed.

"I have to kill you, Gabriella." He yelled at her. "I haven't got any other choice. But to do so."

"No," she said. "You can't kill me. I have to leave for Edward and for the baby."

"You don't understand." He protested. "If I don't kill you. He'll kill me.

"Who's he?" She asked, confused.

Then she felt someone shaking her from her dream.

"Gabriella, wake up." Edward shouted. "Your having a nightmare. You have to wake up."

"I'm awake." She said, wrapping her arms around him.

"What happened?" He asked.

"Troy wanted to kill me and I said that I didn't want him to kill me." She explained to him, shedding a tear.

"Why would he want to kill you, Gabriella?" He asked her.

"Because he said if he doesn't," she said. "Then he will be killed because of me. But I told him that I had to live for the baby and you."

"You protected us all," he said. "By not dying. I'm so proud of you."

But if your not with me there.

It'll never be enough,

There's no place like us.

There's no place like us.

"I know," she said. "Your proud of me."

"You know," he smiled. "I am."

"I'm glad you you woke me up," she said. "Because it was really bad that Troy wanted me dead and not even alive to him."

"I am glad that I woke you too." He agree with a grin.

"I know you are." She said, grinning back at him.

"How do you feel about becoming one of us?" He asked, looking at her stomach.

"Good, actually." She said, also looking at her stomach.

"It's sure swelling up your stomach." He said, sadly.

"It is actually." She said, a little bit sad.

"Gabriella, just know that there's no place like us." He said, pulling her in for a hug.

She knew that he had been right. Because there was no place like them.

"Your right," she agreed. "There's no place like us."

'Seriously, girl, you've got to keep your heart beating for him." She thought to herself.

"What are you thinking, Gabriella?" He asked her.

"Just that I should keep my heart beating." She said to him.

"Actually, you should." He agreed with her. "Keep your heart beating. It's what Tommy would have wanted."

"Yeah," she said. "it would have been what he wanted for me."

If I find the other side of the rainbow,

Will find that gold worth any price,

Cos, if we ain't there for each other,

"Gabriella," he said, as she begun to yawn quietly. "we both want you to live on for the rest of your life."

"I know." she said. "my time will come soon."

"Believe me," he said. "you will make it out alive."

"True dat." She grinned, as she laid back down on the couch.

"You should get some sleep," he said. "You look like you really need it."

"I guess your right." She said, already half asleep.

Just when Carlisle came in to check on her.

"How is she?" He asked him.

"She's fine," he said. "she just had a dream about Troy."

"What about him?" He asked.

"Just that he was trying to kill her." He said, sitting on the couch.

"This girl has been through so much," he said. "And he thinks it right to hurt her behind her back side."

"To be honest with ya," he admitted. "She has been through so much."

"Tell me about it," he said, as Rosalie joined the both of them.

"What is it, Rose?" Edward asked, worried.

"Nothing," she replied. "It's just that Gabriella's life is coming to an end, and I feel sorry for her right now."

"Her life will not come to an end." Carlisle said, sitting next to Gabriella.

"I guess your right." She agreed.

Then all I got doesn't matter,

It won't be right to,

Give it all that I got,

"Why is that I am always right?" He asked, curiously.

"Because your being positive about things." Edward replied, answering his question.

'That's less convincing, Edward.' Rosalie thought to herself.

"Well, it would be less convincing, Rosalie." He said, reading her mind.

"How did you know what I was saying inside my mind?" She asked, quietly.

"Because you wouldn't say it out loud, Rosalie." He said, as Carlisle left the room.

"Carlisle, where are you going?" She asked, following. Then the voice faded, and it was just Edward left on his own, with Gabriella.

After Rosalie had left the room, Alice had joined Edward in the living room.

"Hi, Edward." She said, greeting him with a smile.

"Hi, Alice." He greeted back.

"How is she?" She asked.

"She's perfectly fine," he said. "I'm gonna have to wake her up soon."

"Okay," She said, walking out into the kitchen to find Jasper.

The next day, Edward had woken Gabriella from her sleep and he felt the baby kick in side of her.

"Well, I think somebody's awake." He said. "And good morning, Gabriella."

"Good morning, handsome," she said. "I know."

"Did you just call me 'handsome?" He asked, kissing her forehead

"I did call you 'handsome'." She said, repeating the word handsome

And get there to the top,

If you're not up there with me,

There's nothing I wanna see,

So,

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for someone to call me that." Edward said, wrapping his arms around her waist, then he kissed her on the lips.

"How long have you been waiting for someone to say that?" She asked, responding to his kiss.

"I've been waiting for someone like you to say that to me actually." He said, holding her hand.

Then he kissed her stomach.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for you to kiss my stomach." She said, also planting kisses on his cheeks.

"I'm guessing that you are right." He said, as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"So, what happened last night?" She asked.
