"You had a nightmare." He said, as she sat up to look at him in the eye.

"And you stayed with me during the middle of the night?" She asked.

"Of course," he said. "there's no where else, I'd rather be, if I didn't know if you were having a nightmare."

"I'm just glad that you were there for me," she said. "when Troy wasn't."

"So, when is it your birthday?" He asked.

"It's on June 22nd 1992." She replied, answering his question.

"Your older than me?" He asked.

You were like a crash of thunder,
Look through my darkest nights,
You awaken all my senses made me feel alive,

"Yes," she said. "But I'm not older than you."

"So, how old are you?" He asked her.

"I'm 21 years old actually." She stated him.

"Oh," He just said and walked over to her.

"What's the matter?" she asked, sighing.

"Nothing's the matter." He said, brining her lips to his.

"You just thought I was younger than you?" She asked.

"Of course," he said. "I thought you were younger than me."

"I guess when we met at East High, you thought I was always young." She said, sounding deranged.

"I always did think you were young." He laughed, looking at her face.

"So," she said. "It's true, you always thought I was young. But you were only eighteen years old. Does that make you a lot older than I am?"

"I guess so." He grinned.

Later that day, it was time for Gabriella to go to bed.

"Make sure she doesn't get any nightmares, like last night." Carlisle warned him.

"She won't." He promised. "I promise."

'Why did I have to go and dream of Tommy?' She asked herself.

"Gabriella, you can lay on me tonight, instead of waking during the middle of the night." He said, as she put her head down on his chest.

"Okay." She yawned, whilst he put his hand on her stomach, and he kept it there, as she began to fall asleep.

Even if we try to fight it, we know that the sparks will fly
Cause in the end, we're just two people destine to collide

"Hi, Edward." Alice greeted, noticing that Gabriella was faster asleep on his chest.

"Hi, Alice." He greeted back.

"How is she?" She asked him.

"She's fine." He said, as Gabriella groaned.

"Hi, Alice." Jasper said and they both went out side.

'What if there is no happy ending for her?' He wondered and kissed Gabriella's fore-head.

'There will be a happy ending for her, Edward.' She thought out loud, so that Edward could hear her.

"Thank you, Alice." He said, in side of his mind.

"Edward, can I talk to you for a second?" Carlisle asked, standing in the door way.

"Sure," He said. "But I don't want to leave Gabriella on her own. Otherwise she'll have a nightmare."

"It won't be long." he promised. "You can go back to her, after we have finished talking first."

"I promise I'll be here when you wake up, Gabriella." He whispered, as he laid her down on the couch.

"Alice knows that Gabriella is going to die soon," he said. "And it's not going to be very good. She'll die."

"We all fear that she will." He said, truthfully.

"How did you know?" He asked.

"Because Jasper fears it and, can sense our emotions. But Gabriella doesn't know that she's going to die." Edward explained.

"In time," he said. "she will be one of us, and part of this family."

"She'll be the real and truthful Cullen." He agreed. "And of course, she is apart of this family now."

Like stone hearts and grenades
You and I are not the same
There is nothing that I will change

"I guess we're both are on the same page." He said, as Gabriella groaned in her sleep. Then Edward lifted her head and put back on to his chest.

"Is she going to make it though?" He asked.

"No," he said. "no-one knows if she's going to make it."

"That's the problem," he said. "no-one truly knows if she's going to make it."

"You have to keep your voice down," he said. "You don't want to wake up Gabriella."

"I guess your right." He said, quieting down.

"I guess I am." He said, agreeing with him.

"Do you know how long I've been waiting for her?" He asked, as he nodded.

"Yes," he said. "you've waiting for her your whole entire life."

"Of course," he said. "I have waiting for her my whole entire life."

"We know." He said, agreeing with him.

The next morning after, Gabriella woke up with Edward lying beside her.

"Morning," he said. "sleepy head."

"Morning," She said, stretching her arms.

"Did you ever wonder about college in Alaska?" He asked, giving her a gentle smile.

Stone hearts and grenades
All my lonely, you throw it all away
(And) when you need me, I will keep you safe

"No," she said. "I guess I've never thought about college life."

"Well, do you think about it now?" He asked, pouring some blood into a cup.

"Maybe." She said, taking a sip of blood.

"Do you think you'll be able to see your dad again?" He asked her.

"No," she replied. "I don't think so."

'I guess I don't have any result of thinking about college, even about my dad.' She thought to herself.

"I wish I could turn back and save you from being with Tommy and Troy." He said, wishing. "But I guess that it would never happen."

"All you need to do is have a little faith." She said, wrapping her arms around him.

"Your right." he agreed. "I should have a little faith."

"Faith is the only to get through these things," A voice said, standing behind him. "But it can only be as possible, as life itself."

"But how will you know about the possible faith that lies beneath?" He asked Tommy, as Gabriella drank some blood.

"It's only possible if she makes it out alive." He said, going back up to heaven.

"Gabriella," he said. "I think it's time for you to go to bed now."

"I know," she replied. "because I need my rest."

After that all the dust is settle
We lift each other off the ground
I'll carry you a million miles

"Of course you need your rest." He said, laying her back down on the couch.

'I will love him for a thousand years.' She thought to herself.

"Why did you get stabbed in L.A?" He asked her.

"Because they were just trying to take my life away," she replied. "I guess they didn't want me to live."

"Gabriella, you shouldn't feel like that." He said, kissing her lips. "No-one could ever make you feel that way. You can live your life with me, and you could never die. You'll live longer than a human would."

"I agree with you." She said, with a smile.

"Who gave you that mark?" He asked, staring at her arm.
