Okay, so, again, sorry for not updating, but I'm writing this other fic and I just don't have time nor inspiration to write this fic. It's not going the way I planned… :/
Anyhow, here's the next chapter!
Chapter 20
"Y-You, what?" Rose stammered out.
"I'm gay. I think."
"Okay… It's not that I hadn't expected it. Like, I was gonna ask you about it, but you just said it, so never mind. Are you sure?"
"Well, no… I mean, I think I have feelings for someone, a boy, but he's already dating someone else. And I'm also into girls, still. I'm so confused! What do I do?!" Albus pulled on his hair, stood up, kicked the wall, then slid down against it, again pulling at his hair.
This is bothering Albus way more than I initially thought, Rose thought.
"You like Scorpius, don't you?"
Albus looked up. "Yes…"
Rose looked confused. "Wait, isn't Scorpius still single? Am I missing something?"
"Well, I caught Scorp and Ricky kissing this morning. Merlin, I shouldn't be telling you this. And do you know what the worst part is? I am encouraging him! He had his doubts! I could've told him to not start dating Ricky, but I said he should act upon his feelings! Like, how stupid can you be?!"
"It's not stupid. You just want Scorpius to be happy. It's normal."
"Then normal is heart-breaking."
Rose giggled.
"What?" Albus snapped.
"Nothing. It's just that you two would look so cute together."
Albus blushed. "Thanks," he mumbled.
-o-O-o-
Later that night, when the four of them (Scorpius, Albus, Rose and Ricky) were sitting together, Ricky kept kissing Scorpius on the cheek and, to Albus's disgust, Scorpius kept snuggling up to Ricky.
It made Albus want to cry.
He was such a girl.
They just sat there, talking, when Harry, Hermione and Ron came in.
"You guys look just like us, you know?" Hermione said, smiling.
"What do you mean?" Rose asked.
"You four are such close friends. You only have each other, because you are all misfits. It's quite nostalgic seeing you…" Harry said.
"Here, look at this," Ron said, giving them a photo book.
Albus took it. They opened it to the first page.
It showed a picture of Harry, Ron and Hermione, sitting in front of the fire in the Gryffindor common room.
They were laughing, probably at a joke they just heard. Hermione had a book in her lap, Ron had a sheet of parchment in front of him on the floor and Harry appeared to have been polishing his broom.
Next to that was a picture of them.
"When was this even taken?" Scorpius laughed.
"I don't know, I've never seen it before," Rose said.
They were also sitting in front of a fire place – ("That's right here! At the Burrow!" Albus said).
"It was just taken," Harry said, laughing. You four were so caught up in your laughing, you didn't even notice."
Comparing both photos, they could see what the Golden Trio meant when they said the four teenagers looked like them.
They were also laughing. Rose had a book in her lap, Ricky and Albus were both holding broomsticks and Scorpius had a piece of paper on the floor in front of him. Something he had been drawing on.
"We want to give you some advice," Harry said.
"Take as many pictures as you can, with each other. And put them in this book. And when you are all grown up, look through it and relive all those cherished moments with each other. Live while you're young. We were raised in an environment where that wasn't possible, and we don't want the same thing for you. We made a small start, you continue the rest," Hermione said.
"Mom, Dad, Uncle Harry, this is amazing!" Rose sprang up and hugged each of them. Albus did the same, and soon they were all hugging each other.
Scorpius and Ricky just stood there, not knowing what to do, until Harry broke apart and beckoned them over.
"You two are just as much part of the family as the others," he said, hugging both boys tight.
"Thanks, Mister Potter," Scorpius stammered out, tears starting to fall from his eyes.
He felt so accepted. Like nothing, they just took him as part of the family, as if it wasn't that big of a deal.
He loved it.
"Scorp, why are you crying?"
Scorpius looked up at Albus. "Nothing." He smiled. "I just love you all so much."
"Aw, Scorp, I love you, too," Albus said, enveloping him in a tight hug.
Scorpius hadn't noticed with how much love Albus had said that. Nor had Albus noticed how Scorpius had said it.
Later, when Scorpius and Albus had fallen asleep on the couch, Rose stood up and looked at them from across the room.
Scorpius had his head on Albus's shoulder and Albus had his head on Scorpius's. They looked so cute.
"Why are you doing this, Ricky?"
"What?"
"You don't like Scorpius. You're just using him to get over Damon."
Ricky sighed. "I know. And it's not working. For a moment I really believed I liked Scorpius, but I don't. At least, not like that. He deserves better than me."
"He deserves Albus."
"I know. They're made for each other, aren't they?"
"Soul mates, that's what they are. Only if they noticed the way they looked at each other when the other isn't looking…"
Ricky smiled. "Do you think we should give them a push in the right direction?"
"No, certainly not. We can't. They need to find each other themselves. It may take ten years, but they will. I know it."
So, yeah I kinda like this chapter oops XD
