Hey guys sorry it's been so long, but I am here with another update. Due to popular demand we are going with the first option. I hope you like it and please review.
Soda's POV
I just couldn't accept the idea that Pony had lost his memory. It was so frustrating. They way he had looked at me when I hugged him. It hurt so much. No matter, I was gonna help him remember if it's the last thing I do.
Darry and I had picked Pony up from the hospital and were on our way home. Pony sat in between me and Darry in the truck, and he didn't say a word. He kept his eyes fixed on the window, staring off into space. If I tried to touch him he would squirm away from me.
The drive home was slow and a little depressing, but I tried to make the best of it. When we got home I jumped out and waited for Pony to climb out. When he didn't move I frowned.
"Come on Pone," I encouraged.
He looked at me and gave me that same blank stare that I had gotten before. I bit my lip and beckoned to my little brother. He finally hopped down and looked around.
"I-Is this home?" he asked slowly.
I nodded. "Yup, the gangs inside, come on."
Pony followed me and Darry inside and as soon as the gang saw the little guy they were all over him. Two-bit ran over and gave Pony a nuggie, while Steve gave the kid a punch in the arm. It freaked Ponyboy out a little and he backed up, looking like he was gonna be sick.
"What's the matter Pone, you gonna be sick or something?" Two-Bit asked with his goofy grin.
"Relax Pony, that's Two-Bit and Steve, they ain't gonna hurt ya, they're our friends," I told him.
"What's wrong with the kid?" Steve demanded.
"Soda, why don't you take Pony to your room, I'll explain," Darry suggested.
I nodded. "Come on Pony."
I took my baby brother by the shoulders and ushered him into our room. He glanced around and then scrunched up his face.
"What's the matter, Pony?" I asked.
"This room…I sorta remember it," he said.
I grinned and gave a silent whoop. It was only a small victory, but it could lead to something bigger. Ponyboy walked over to the dresser and picked up the photo of Mom and Dad. I felt my heart drop. Oh no. I didn't want to tell him all over again, it would hurt too much.
"You're they?" Pony questioned.
"Hey I bet you're hungry, how bout' we go get something to eat?" I said.
Pony shrugged and set the picture back on the dresser.
"Okay," he said simply.
He walked out of the room and I followed behind him, shutting our bedroom door. I hoped that I wouldn't have to tell him about Mom and Dad for a while.
Hey guys, so I hope you enjoyed it, if you did please let me know and i just want to say thank you for all your support, it means a lot.
