Dear readers, PLEASE READ A/N AT THE END OF THIS CHAPTER, I need your opinion guys... On to the story
Konoha's street was deserted, except for some nocturnal animals lurking around in the darkness of the night...Or dawn.
It was two o'clock in the morning in the leaf village, all normal and sane people were sleeping, except maybe some shinobi that just got back from their long term mission.
These two particular people were on the normal and sane category, at least for now. These two people known as Kakashi Hatake and Naruto Uzumaki. Both were in their slumber land, but suddenly something unexpected happen for the older person.
"BUYAAAAAAA!"
Kakashi Hatake was jolted awake and fell down from his bed in the process, because while he was sleeping he moved around which resulted he ended at the edge of his bed. While others may conclude Kakashi was a neat sleeper (I don't even know if that term exists), in reality he was a messy sleeper. And to add some spice in waking up, his unmasked face got a warm greeting from his hard floor, that was a perfect recipe for waking up. He groaned and rubbed his face while in sitting up.
"UWAAAA… *sob*… MWAAAA!"
The silver haired man, again, jolted up from his sitting position and hastily made his way to his bedroom door. He perfectly knew where the wailing came from; it was from a particular blonde boy. Reaching his destination he did not went in directly, he waited for a second checking if there was someone inside the room beside the boy. Certain that no one posed as a threat he opened the door.
Yawning he said, "Naruto, what is it now?" without waiting any answer from the kid he picked up the crying bundle, "Shhh, shhh… it's okay kid, I'm here," Kakashi walking around the room while rocking Naruto up and down, trying to calm him down. He reached a window and uncovered the curtain, then opened the window letting some fresh cool air in. since today was a full moon , the round pale white planet was clearly visible from the window.
"Naruto, look mister round silver is here, do you see him? He's right there," Kakashi pointing to the full moon, since Naruto was still hiccupping now he looked at Kakashi and to the man's finger. Then his blue orbs catch his rarely met friend. The said blue orbs now sparkling with delight, and a clapping sound was made from a pair of chubby hands.
"Aaah.. Iiaa!" Words came out from Naruto, making the older man smiled. "Yes, there is mister round silver, right there. He came to see you Naruto, so stop crying or mister round silver will cry too." His reply was a set of excited giggles and coos. While still rambling nonsense words, Kakashi picked up a rumbling sound, "Well, it seems someone is hungry," He made his way to prepare a bottle for Naruto, the kid still making all kind of noises from his mouth. Kakashi expertly made a bottle for Naruto with his left hand, because his right hand was occupied by the blonde. Tracking back to the window he began to feed Naruto, and mister round silver is forgotten by the kid.
After a few minutes of feeding, burping, and watching the moon, Naruto finnaly fell asleep. Kakashi tucked Naruto into his crib, and looked at the clock, an hour was passed. Closing the window and curtain, he made his way back to his room and went back to sleep.
AAAA
"Daddy!" Naruto ran to his dad, and hugged his knee. His dad was not moving for a while and he was getting worried, so he ran up and did the only thing he could do.
"Whoa…! Hey, what is it Naruto?" Kakashi was a little bit surprised by Naruto's action, he ruffled the kid's hair while smiling at the kid. Naruto being with Kakashi practically his entire life knew that the silver haired man was smiling, despite his right eye was not closed. "Daddy, you 'ere still for a while, so I bought you back!" Naruto was looking at his dad now, grinning wide as he usually did. "I was? Whew, in that case thanks kid." Kakashi was squatting now so he could get on Naruto's height, "And it's 'brought' not 'bought', I am not sold Naruto" But the kid was not listening, instead he was asking about his training, *sigh* typical Naruto, Kakashi thought.
The scare crow was indeed lost in his thought for a moment before Naruto hugged his knee. Time flew by, and now it's been a year and a half. Kakashi really did not expect this little family of his could went this far, recalling he was very reluctant to take care of the kid. He would said that this was quite an acomplishment, even though he was still unsure of his feelings toward the kid – the brat to be exact. But that aside, he was simply happy now.
And yes, Kakashi decided that he would train Naruto as early as possible, starting with the very basic of course. And no, it was not chakra related, because he knew Naruto would not be able to concentrate at all at this age, and concentration was the main point of chakra manipulation. So Kakashi choice was the basic weapon of all shinobi, kunai and shiruiken. While he knew it was dangerous to let a one and a half year old kid to handle such things, the future was much more risky. Under Kakashi's strict supervision, fortunate for Naruto he had not hurt or scratched himself for the past two weeks, still using the wooden replica though. The real thing was for another day.
"Look at that daddy, it was in the circle… Well it wasn't in the red dot, but it was in! I was unable to hit the circle the other day, but today I did it! Whooooopppp!" Naruto was shaking with excitement. It was indeed his first time his shot was in, for two weeks he was struggling to throw and hit the dummy, plus some tantrums, screaming, and got dragged by his dad a few times because he won't stop practicing. It was such a feast for the blonde.
While Naruto did that, Kakashi inspected the dummy that was hit by Naruto shiruiken. Though it was way of - Kakashi train of thought was interrupted by the dreaded youthful noise, and a voice saying "Gai ji san!" Then a pitter patter of small feet running, followed by "OH THIS YOUTHFUL CHILD, WHY YOU CALLED ME JI SAN KID?! BUT NO MATTER, WHILE THE BURNING FIRE OF YOUTH IS STILL BURNING IN YOU!" This continued with a boy laughter, the finally it came, "YOSH KAKASHI MY ETERNAL RIVAL, LET'S CONTINUE OUR COMPETITION!" – it was pretty decent for a kid his age, but his angle while throwing still a bit off. The silver haired man looked over Naruto, and beckoning the kid to him, "Naruto come here for a sec, you see when you threw your shiruiken your arm should be parallel to your shoulder, so it will fly straight to your target… and this position require less effort" He positioned Naruto's arm in the right and efficient way, "Wow dad, you're right," Naruto exclaimed after trying the new position, after all Kakashi learnt it by practice and experience.
In the background a man clothed in a green spandex, with bowl haircut, massive eyebrows, and waterfall tears, lost all his colour. Dark cloud was hovering above him, "THOSE TWO ARE SO COOL, WITH THE FATHER HIP ATTITUDE, AND HIS SON FIRE OF YOUTH! YOSHA, I WILL ASSIST THEM IN EVERY WAY I CAN!" With his fists clenched the man made his dash to the couple, and stopped with a great dust trailing him, unfortunately the dust covered the couple too.
"Okay Naruto, let's get some lunch now. You can eat everything you want since you managed to hit the dummy." Kakashi said, he was standing and grab Naruto's hand taking the kid with him.
"Really dad?" Naruto asked, his eyes were big as a saucer. "Sure kid," His dad replied. "Cool! Come on dad, let's go!" The blonde kid was now pulling his laughing father, forcing him to move faster.
In the background a man clothed in a green spandex, with bowl haircut, massive eyebrows, and waterfall tears, crumpled down to the floor. Dark cloud was hovering above him, "I can't stand their youthful laughter! THEIR SPIRITS ARE BURNING BRIGHTLY INFRONT OF ME; I SHALL RUN A HUNDRED LAPS AROUND KONOHA TO REACH THEIR LEVEL! YOSHA HERE WE GO!" The man eyes were now burning with fire, and he was gone with a massive dust following him.

Their eating out ended up at their house, after many choices Naruto finally chose sushi set for three people, miso ramen, and of course teriyaki beef. As for his dad, he just got pork ramen, and of course he would eat his portion from Naruto foods. Arrived at their home, the blonde ran straight to the dining table, climbed to the chair, and started serving all the food. Kakashi opened the sliding glass door, and saw something peculiar. There in his backyard, a lump of green, and a bit of orange and black. The thing produced a strange sound, like groaning, and suddenly as it sensed Kakashi was there, the thing jumped out to him. Suprised wide eyed Kakashi took a step back, and quickly shut the transparent door.
BLAAMM!
A face was pressed up onto the door, and tears could be seen running down the face. Upon heariing this Naruto jumped down the chair, walking to his dad, finally he saw what the commotion was all about, "Dad, what is Gai ji san doing here? And why he's face spread up like that? ... He looks like a flattened frog on the side of the road today."
"Hmmm... You're right Naruto... Well let's eat now!" Kakashi ushered Naruto who still looking back at Gai, and suddenly a muffled sound was heard. "KAKASHIIHHHSS MHY RIFOOLLL! MARYU-CHYAANN!"
"Dad I think you should let him in."
"Ara.. what was it Naruto? I didn't hear you?"
"Dad... Seriously..."
"Hahhh... Ma, I think I've done enough ignoring him..." Kakashi sighed and let Gai in. "Come in Gai, what are you doing here anyway? And no I won't accept your challenge today. " He rubbed his forehead. It was not like he hated his long time fri... Well, rival, he just need a break sometimes from the green clad man antics.
"KAKASHI, AM I -,"
"Gai, will you tone down a bit…?" Kakashi looked at Gai like a tired man as he was. Gai as a good rival, he understood and complied.
"Kakashi, am I wrong to visit a friend of mine? Hey you look tired, what happened?" Gai made his way to the scare crow. "Nah," Kakashi flicked his hand, "Just the usual, lack of practice and all… all this cooped up at home.. Hoaahhmm… Makes me lazy and rusty." He cracked his neck to relieve the stiffness.
"At least you have Naruto to remedy some of that." Gai looked at the kid who still fiddling with the plastics containing his meals. "Oh yeah, I have nothing to do actually so I might as well visit some of my friends." Gai was grinning widely, showing his pearly white neat teeth, and a thumb up, known as his 'Nice Guy' pose.
Friends, huh? "Well in that case, you welcome to dine in with us." Offered Kakashi.
"WHAT A GRA…" Upon seeing Kakashi death glare Gai change his volume, "I mean, what a gracious offer, but I must decline because I will go to the mission desk. Maybe I can get some action." And again the good guy pose.
"Hey daad, help me here! Don't just talking there to Gai ji san." Finally Naruto gave up with the plastics wrapping and slump down on the chair, tired standing all this time while trying to open his foods.
Kakashi opened and served the foods in no time at all, Naruto pouted, "You should be the one who did that in the first place dad. It would be muucchh faster to eat then." He crossed his arms in annoyance, while his dad just chuckled and apologize to him. Jeez (… or geez?) grownups were sure troublesome.
Seeing this Gai made his way out, "Then farewell Kakashi my rival, and Naruto stay youthful kid! YOSHA I'M GO—"
"Gai ji san, why don't you eat with us?"
"Well Naruto, apparently I must decline the offer. Do not fear for I will come back some other time."
Suddenly Naruto jumped down and running towards Gai, he gave the man a knee hug which surprised the man, which moved the man, which made the man cry tears of happiness. In return Gai picked the boy up, and spin him around with a sunset background; laughter of a boy and a much too excited man could be heard. While Kakashi just stared at the overdramatic couple on the side line, sighing he sat down on the chair and snapped a chopstick, "Ittadakimas." Hearing this Naruto wriggled from Gai's hold, "Hey dad, wait for me! Bye Gai ji san!" With that Gai finally out from Kakashi house.
AAAA
"Hey Naruto, why do you call Gai, Gai ji san?" His dad, who finished eating his portion, asked him. Naruto just looked at his dad like he was the stupidest person he ever knew. With rice and sauce all over his mouth Naruto said, "He is old dad, at least a few years younger than Hokage jiji."
"…"
"….."
"PUHAHAHAHAHA! AHAHAHA… AH, AHAHAHA! Gai is just ppfftt – AHAHAHA!" Kakashi threw his head back in glee, his right hand covered his teary eye, his left holding his stomach. He really did not thought Naruto would said that, he must admitted Gai face was older than he really was, but that was too much. Hearing other person said it, that what made it hilarious, and to be honest Kakashi did not thought of that until the boy said it in his face. Trying to calm down, he cleared things up to Naruto.
"That's not.. pfft – AHAHA..ahaha.. Naruto you're an idiot sometimes," Kakashi snickered while Naruto did not accept being said as an idiot only could say 'Hey!', "Okay okay, let me tell ya, Gai is the same age as me, which is around 19." Naruto eyes bulged out, "NO WAY!? Really dad, he looks forty! … He even can pass for fifty… How could that be? You're not lying are you?" He eyed his dad suspiciously.
Kakashi shook his head, still grinning he said, "I'm serious, and I don't know or care how he got that face. But…," He point his finger to Naruto, "I am dead serious, he is 19 year old Naruto."
"Oh my God! Will my face be like that when I'm 19?!" The blonde was groping his face in horror; imagining his older self with face like Gai.
The silver head chuckled, and reached across the table to ruffle the blonde, "No worries Naruto, your face won't be like him," The man smiled softly, and said something that would make him shocked to the core.
"You're my son after all."

Well guys that was chapter 10! And onto the important part… should I make a snippet or a continuous story? And for some of you waiting for some awesome action, I'm afraid I would have to say, that might not happen… because I don't have any confidence in writing action scene, I might give it a try but I don't promise anything. And sorry for the late update, you know writer block thingy, running out of ideas… and watching LP videos in youtube.. Ehehehe.. Also thanks for those whom followed, favourite, and reviewed, I'll send my gratitude now (giving some pizzas.. everybody loves it! Yaay!) Stay tuned guys
