Hey everyone it's Connor here.
Natsu isn't doing so well so he asked me to do the summary for this chapter. I'm so very happy the preliminaries are over now I can take a break for a chapter and do something a little more relaxing. Don't you worry they'll be back on after this chapter. Anyway what is it that Natsu says? Oh yeah enjoy the chapter cookie :)
Oh yeah and Natsu only owns me not the whole of Fairy Tail.
Ch 27: Hectic hotel.
Connor slowly woke up and sat up in his bed. Crocus gardens had the most comfortable beds in all of Fiore and Connor definitely agreed. He sat in bed and thought of the tournament. Only four of them remained: Natsu, Laxus, Sting, and himself and they were all incredibly strong. He hugged his knees to his chest and groaned "I'll have to fight one of them. My best chance is Sting but what then? I'd still have to fight either Natsu or Laxus. I love a good fight but getting destroyed isn't what I'd call a good fight" he groaned again and then thought of Alistair again. He could show up at any moment and Connor was unsure if he was ready. He laid back down for a few minutes before he heard a knock on his door.
"Connor come on Cus! You even awake in there!?" Natsu's voice called.
"I'm not in the mood Natsu!" Connor replied.
"Come on get out of bed!"
"Yeah Connor we're all heading to the hotel pool!" Wendy's voice persisted.
"Just leave me alone please!" Connor's voice pleaded.
"Suit yourself then!" Natsu's voice said.
"I guess something must be on his mind. He's normally excited about swimming" Wendy assumed.
"He's probably nervous about the tournament or his big brother" Natsu also guessed.
"Must be a lot to think about"
"We need to get him out here somehow!" Natsu shouted with great determination.
"But he said he wasn't in the mood."
"He's delusional. He just needs a little push and he'll be out there swimming with the rest of us."
"I'm not sure that's a good idea Natsu. We should just let him think."
"No time to question this Wendy we've got to get to work!" Natsu shouted rushing down the hall and to his room to prepare his plan.
Wendy sighed and followed the rambunctious man.

Sting sat sunbathing on the poolside awaiting the rest of the dragon slayers. Nobody was allowed to use the pool unless they were competitors so it was deathly quiet even with Rogue in the chair next to him. Natsu had told the two of them they'd be having a pool party to celebrate the preliminaries being over and Natsu himself had yet to show up.
"Hey Rogue?" Sting asked his friend.
"What is it Sting?" Rogue replied.
"You think that Natsu will actually show up?"
"I don't know..and I really don't care.."
And with that the awkward silence returned.

Natsu had paced his room for a good few minutes wondering on how he could get Connor out of his room "I got it!"
"What would that be?" Wendy asked from his bed.
"His sword Wendy."
"What about it."
"He loves that thing if we take his sword he's bound to come out."
"No Natsu that's a very bad idea. He doesn't let other people even touch his sword."
"That's why it's perfect! He'll go after me and try to get it back and that's how we'll lead him out."
"Natsu... this is a very bad idea. We should just let him think."
"Just trust me Wendy. It'll be a piece of cake. Knowing him he's probably asleep again."
Wendy sighed "I still think this is a bad idea."
"Have you got any?"
"No but.."
"Then my idea it is then!" Natsu shouted dashing out the door.
Wendy followed the sprinting dragon slayer down the hall still wary of Natsu's ridiculous plan as they approached Connor's room.
"Okay Wendy I need you to be a distraction" Natsu said quietly.
"A distraction? How?"
"I don't know just do something. I'll sneak into through the window while you keep him busy."
"But how do I...?"
"Don't let me down Wendy!" Natsu shouted as he ran down the hall.
Wendy groaned and stared at the door then knocked "Connor!" She called out.
Connor sighed in his room "Wendy not right now!" He shouted tiredly.
Wendy thought quick and without really thinking about it "Natsu got hurt! He slipped on the pool and now he's bleeding from a cut on his head!"
Connor panicked and lept out of bed "I'll be out in a minute go get help!"
"I'll be at the pool!"
Connor rushed out of his room and down to the hotel pool as quickly as his legs could carry him. As he left Natsu entered through the window or tried to at least as the window was locked.
He tugged on the window trying to make it budge "these guys have beefed up their security since I broke in this is one tough lock" he grunted and pulled one more time before giving up and igniting one of his hands. "Fire dragon's iron fist!" He shouted slamming his fist into the window. The result was a large hole in the wall of the building large enough to fit even Cerberus inside of it. "Alright now where's that sword" he whispered to himself as he began to search the room.
"What was that noise?" Connor asked.
Wendy began to twiddle her thumbs "I'm sure it was nothing" she quickly assured him "come on we need to get moving" She urged.
Connor sighed "Wendy what is Natsu up to?"
Wendy began to shake a little "he's breaking into your room to steal your sword.." She said quickly.
"What?!" Connor shouted "and you went along with it?"
"He kinda just forced me into it.. I'm sorry" she suddenly began to sob.
Connor panicked "it's not your fault Wendy it's just Natsu being...well Natsu" He quickly assured her "but I'll make sure he gets a beating for this"
Connor rushed back down the hall to his room and opened the door just as Natsu discovered blood destiny "put that back Natsu!" He shouted.
"Uh oh.." Natsu muttered dashing away through the hole in the wall.
Connor gave chase demanding Natsu return his blade all the while Natsu kept dashing toward the pool.

Laxus was content enough just wandering the hotel gardens. It was quiet and peaceful which was a quite nice albeit drastic change to the usual loud and chaotic Fairy Tail guild hall. All was calm until a charging Natsu and Connor came dashing through the garden flames trailing behind them. Suddenly Natsu crashed into the older man and sent them barreling to the floor.
"Sorry Laxus gotta get going!" Natsu shouted as he got back up and dashed away with his fire dragon thruster leaving a mask of ash on the blond's face and enraging him in the process.
"Natsu!" Connor and Laxus shouted at the fire dragon slayer as they pursued him.
After chasing Natsu around the gardens for some time with persistent lightning strikes and fireballs to stop the pink haired man, the garden was essentially destroyed. The grass was scorched, the bushes and flowers were torn up and turned to ash. But Natsu was determined and pressed onward.

Sting and Rogue still sat at the poolside now sporting a nice tan. Footsteps approached from behind them and they turned to face the noise.
"Hey Gajeel" Sting warmly welcomed the bandaged Blacksteel.
"Gajeel.." Rogue muttered to himself.
Gajeel grunted in response and took a seat beside the two.
"Still annoyed that Natsu beat you?" Sting teased.
"Watch it kid I'm still strong enough to beat you" Gajeel warned
"Natsu is still stronger than you though..." Rogue said as if to provoke the iron dragon slayer.
"That's it!" Gajeel shouted charging at the younger dragon slayer.
Soon a struggle began to break out between the two of them and Rogue seemed unusually pleased.
"I want in on this! I'm tired of just sitting around!" Sting shouted excitedly entering the scrap.
Wendy quickly ran outside to the poolside as well and as she arrived she could hear a large blast. She looked in the direction of the noise and saw a large blast of crimson fire "Natsu what have you done now.." she said quietly.
"Gangway!" Natsu's voice cried as he lept into the pool area closely followed by Connor and Laxus and unfortunately crashed into the squabbling Sting, Rogue, and Gajeel.
"Watch it Salamander you want a rematch or something!?" Gajeel shouted.
"Like I'd want to fight a moron like you!" Natsu retorted forgetting he was being chased.
"Natsu! Give me back blood destiny!" Connor roared slamming his fist into Natsu's cheekbone.
"This is my fight Natsu Dragneel!" Rogue shouted uppercutting Natsu as well.
"Back off Connor! I want to fight Natsu!" Sting yelled kicking Connor in the back of the head.
"Stay out of this Blondie!" Connor roared back spinning his leg around to land a strike in Sting's side.
Soon enough chaos ensued between the six dragon slayers. Scorch marks from Connor and Natsu littered the concrete. Gajeel had created large holes in the ground with his iron rods. Sting and Rogue left cracks and holes in the walls of the hotel. Laxus had thoroughly blasted them all with lightning leaving large scorch marks in the ground along with enormous craters. Wendy however took cover behind a chair huddled up to avoid any attack.
Connor could spot a flash of pink in the chaos and charged crying out "Natsu!" And upon reaching the mentioned dragon slayer slammed his fist into Natsu's face sending him into the air. He went in pursuit of the pinkettes thrusting himself into the air and attacked from above sending them both crashing into the pool. A tsunami of water erupted from the pool and the dragon slayers stopped their fighting and stared at the ominous wave just before it crashed into them.
They all laid on the ground drenched and gasping for air. The pool had been reduced to rubble. Cracks and craters littered the ground. The main wall of the hotel was filled with holes. Burns on the concrete could be seen all around. Some bits of concrete had even been strewn across the floor. And the pool itself was now empty with a gaping hole not it's center and the two fire dragon slayers on each end of the hole.
Silence draped the scene until Connor broke out laughing "that was awesome!" He cried out happily.
Natsu quickly joined him "that was the best brawl I've ever been in!" He shouted.
Soon all of them were laughing happily except for Rogue and Laxus who simply sat indifferent. Natsu and Connor climbed out of the shattered remains of the pool after Natsu returned his blade and explained his plan.
"Only you would think of that Natsu" Connor commented.
Natsu grinned "it worked didn't it?"
"I guess it did."
"It was still a ridiculous plan" Laxus commented "look at the result" he added as he gestured to the destruction.
"Yeah ashface. You really couldn't think of anything else?" Gajeel said.
"Shut it iron head!" Natsu snapped.
"You wanna go again flame brain!" Gajeel yelled butting heads with the fire Dragon slayer.
"Calm down please before you cause even more damage!" Wendy screamed trying to keep the peace.
Suddenly they heard footsteps and a gasp of surprise. They all turned to face the noise and froze upon witnessing the hotel manager "this is horrendous!" The manager shouted "this will cost thousands to repair!" He roared.
The dragon slayers quickly fled the scene leaving the distraught manager behind. And as he fled Connor smiled to himself and looked at the pink haired man running beside him and thought "I couldn't ask for a better cousin."

Kirito looked at the young man beside him. His silver hair shone bright in the moonlight and his similar silver armor glinted. What was this stranger's purpose of asking him here? He wondered. Wanting to break the silence he said "I have a question for you"
"Ask away" the stranger said.
"In our fight earlier when I struck you, you didn't even flinch, like you didn't even feel it. I want you to explain that to me."
The stranger smirked "you noticed that huh? Fine then I'll tell you" he paused.
"Well?"
"It's because I'm dead" He said quietly.
