POV:Third Person

Lissa was glad that Rose had found somebody who cared for her and whose entire world revolved around her. She had someone to love, someone to lean on, to share life with as partners. And Lissa was glad. As for Belikov, the stoic, taciturn guardian had started to act his actual age nowadays, letting loose sometimes, thanks to Rose. He was more playful and smiled more often, a smile that even Lissa had to admit was breathtakingly gorgeous.

So yes, she was ecstatic that those two loved and understood each other so well, but then there were times like this, that annoyed the living daylights out of her. Those two were so in sync, that sometimes they didn't even need to complete sentences to understand what the other was saying, though none of it made sense to anyone else. Take this for instance-

The dhampir couple was decorating their new apartment together and Lissa along with Eddie, Christian and Mia had shown up to help out though the other three had disappeared pretty soon, apparently having some 'work' to do…yeah, right. So Lissa was left with the couple that communicated without words. At first it was amusing watching their interaction, but after sometime it got downright annoying.

"Is that-?", Dimitri asked his girlfriend, holding up a grey and black dress what Lissa remembered Rose attempting (quite unsuccessfully, it has to be added) to sew a few weeks back. She vaguely remembered Rose mentioning it was from when they were on the run. Still, Lissa couldn't understand why it caused Dimitri's eyes to light up and Rose to smile coyly.

'Yeah', Rose replied, eyes sparkling, probably remembering some event that Lissa was better off not knowing.

'Remember?", Dimitri asked wistfully. "The Mastrano house?"

'How can I not?', Rose replied. 'If Sydney hadn't come in then-."

"I never would have realized", Dimitri finished.

"Me neither", Rose smiled. "But I wanted to-."

"Me too", Dimitri continued. "So much! Especially after the motel the first day-."

"I didn't wanna", Rose cringed (Lissa wondered why). "But I had to."

"You didn't have to, Roza", Dimitri admonished teasingly. "If you'd just stayed put, then-."

"Everything else wouldn't have happened", Rose completed, with a smirk. "Besides that kiss made me realize a few things".

"You could say that", Dimitri quipped, chuckling lightly, causing Rose to laugh too.

Lissa had had enough by then. "Do you guys have a bond or something?", she asked, annoyed at being left out. "I'm right here, you know. If you want the room, I can clear out."

Both looked at her-startled- as if seeing her for the first time, before apologizing sheepishly and returning to emptying boxes again. Lissa was a little miffed, but she couldn't hold it against them. Or she thought as the dhampirs participated in normal-person-style-banter for a change, even including her now. But the respite was only transient.

"Remember this?", Rose asked after a couple of minutes, holding up an almost-empty canister of lip-gloss.

"The first one?", Dimitri smiled affectionately.

"Yeah", Rose laughed and they started another of their weird conversations that made absolutely no sense.

Great! Lissa sighed, shaking her head, knowing there was nothing she could do, as the two lovebirds continued their chatter. Instead, she continued unpacking the carton of battered westerns that she'd been assigned to arrange on the bookshelf. Seriously, she loved them to bits, but this fragmented-conversation-thing was starting to get on her nerves.

Okay, so who here figured what le lovebirds are actually talking about? Thanks for reading. Do Review! Cheers!
