Hey Guys I am so sorry I haven't updated in a while, college is a biatch!

Logan and Rory paced, they were making everyone dizzy and Rose was confused,

"What's wrong Mommy? Daddy?" she was intelligent for her age but any child could sense the tension in the room,

"nothing hunny, we are fine, why don't you go play with your toys in the kitchen and we can have ice cream in a little while" Rory smiled at her daughter, Rose knew something was up but she did as she was asked, sliding off of her uncle Finn's lap.

The adults waited for her to be gone, making sure she wasn't eavesdropping and tried to find a solution.

After exhausting all other things, everyone agreed much to Logan's unhappiness that the best way to deal with this was head-on and that meant he had to call Mitchum. Logan resumed his pacing, phone in hand, eventually he pressed the call button and waited for the inevitable,

"Mitchum Huntzberger"

"Hey Dad..." Logan began but was cut off by his father,

"Logan, your mother tells me you are at the house at the vineyard, I'm in the car and will be there in roughly ten minutes, we will talk when I get there"

Logan starred at the phone as his Dad hung up,

"He is on his way" Logan told the group and everyone grew paler,

A silence settled on the room and all anyone could think about was the reception they were going to get once he arrived, time seemed to have sped up as Mitchum walked through the door and once he got over his momentary surprise of his son sat in an armchair with a sullen Rory curled up to him, their hands clutched tightly he began to wonder why everyone in the room seemed to be acting like someone had died, since losing his son he had realized that his son and daughter were the most important things in life and he realized how hard and uncaring he had acted when they were children and had tried to make it better.

"Is everyone Okay?" Mitchum asked worried, the people in the room turned to him all with slightly scared looks on their faces except for his children and Rory who seemed to be terrified, he watched as Logan tapped Rory on her shoulder and they both stood, in a silent deliberation between the two they both approached him,

"Can we have a talk"

"Is this about Rose?" Mitchum asked, amusement showing on his features as the occupants of the room looked like they were going to faint in shock,

"Err... How... mm... Rose?" was all Logan was able to express, his brow furrowed in confusion,

"Yeah Rose, as in Lorelei Rose Honor Huntzberger, Daughter to Lorelei Leigh Huntzberger and Logan Elias Huntzberger, Parents unmarried but still in love no matter how much they both try to deny it." Mitchum smirked, and watched Logan and Rory both squirm and separate themselves a little and the other occupants of the room smiled, Rory cleared her throat and Mitchum prepared for the tongue lashing he was undoubtedly going to get from the fire-cracker Gilmore.

"Mitchum, can I call you that" at his nod she continued, "We were too scared to introduce you to your grand-daughter, she is the love of our lives and we have waited so long and tried to come up with solutions but ultimately we were cowards, from past experience you and I haven't always got along and I was protecting my baby, I'm sorry" Rory finished by looking him in the eye steadily, trying to convey that she would become the fierce mamma-bear she needed to if pushed. Mitchum walked over to the empty couch and sat, unbuttoning his jacket he gestured to the pair to follow, they seated quietly across from him, very close together Mitchum noted,

"I have known almost since Rose was born, at first I was angry I will admit, but once I saw a photo of her and I saw how happy Logan was I realized that you both would need time and understanding, I know accident's happen" Mitchum saw their faces change, "Now don't misunderstand, she is a little miracle but you didn't plan for her arrival did you?" he looked at both of them and Logan especially appeared sheepish, "Anyway, I kept tabs on the two of you and hoped eventually you would see that i was worthy of both the knowledge and meeting my grand-daughter, I know I wasn't the best in the past but I am fully ready to prove to you I can be a good Grand-father" Mitchum smiled at the couple, "And Logan don't worry I will deal with your mother"

Logan stood and without a word left the room, Rory smiled knowingly and Mitchum straightened himself up, he almost seemed nervous, after a few minutes Logan returned Rose who looked to be trying to disappear into his side, he sat down and stood her in front of him, Rory leaned forward and whispered in Rose's ear, she smiled and walked over to Mitchum holding out her tiny hand,

"Mommy says that you are my Grandpa, but I already have one"

"Well I bet you don't have a pops do you?" Rose looked at him in wonder,

"What's one of them?" she asked,

"Well a Pops is the same as a Grandpa, but he isn't Mommy's Daddy, he is Daddy's Daddy like me, and a Pops which is me gets to take you for ice cream if its OK with Mommy and Daddy and sometimes we can go to the zoo and other places, would you like to call me Pops?" Rose nodded emphatically, Rory smiled and Logan still looked confused, Mitchum continued to answer Rose's questions until his phone rang, he turned to Rose,

"Go sit with your Mommy for a second, I'm going to answer this and then speak to your daddy and we will arrange for you to come see my house if you would like" Rose climbed off of his lap, where she had gotten comfortable trying to learn more about the new species of Grandpa's called Pops, Mitchum and Logan left the room. Rory breathed a sigh of relief, next Shira!
