Detective Monetti arranged for Rory and Sapphire to be moved to Hartford General after he had informed their family about their safety, he had never heard such stark differences between families, the Gilmores were relieved and happy beyond belief but Sapphires father seemed unbothered by his daughter's situation or condition. He ordered the Gilmore's to keep their daughters safety a secret as he was still investigating who was behind the kidnapping plot.

Arriving at the hospital he arranged for the girls to be treated in the same room and they snuck the girls in and all nurses and doctors who came into contact with them were told that the girls were still under threat and that they must keep it a secret, luckily he was able to use a ward that had been empty.

Rory was in a better condition than Sapphire, with only a cut on her arm just above her elbow she sat by Sapphires bed holding her friends hand whilst nurses cleaned and stitched the girls cut near to her left ear and the two cuts on her shoulder, Sapphires ankle was swollen and after x-rays the doctors were sure that her foot was broken. The Gilmore's came to visit and Emily looked as if she would never let go of Rory, Richard looked at his grand-daughters face and his resolve to be strong for his wife and daughter broke and he began to cry, Rory broke free of Emily and hugged her grandfather, Lorelai had walked into the room with Luke by this time having been speaking to the Detective and finding out what had happened so that she could be as supportive as she could to her daughter, she walked into the room and watched as Sapphire looked hurt that no one was here to see her, she walked up to her and hugged her, thanking her for helping her daughter survive and for coming up with the escape plan. Rory ran to her mother afterwards and hugged her to within an inch of her life almost. Luke hugged the two women as they cried and Richard hugged Emily. After sitting with the two young women for a long time, Richard watched as his wife in her relieved but exhausted state began to nod off, safe in the knowledge that her granddaughter was now safe, the lack of sleep caught up to her. Walking to the side of Sapphire's bed he looked down at the girl,

"Sapphire, I am Richard Gilmore and I would like to thank you for helping my Rory, if there is ever anything I can ever do for you, do not even hesitate to ask" he informed her,

"Thank you sir, but I have to tell you I was fighting for my own survival as well as Rory's"

"We know dear but if it had not been you to have been kidnapped as well, she could be dead" Richard smiled at the girl, she was extremely honest. Richard woke his wife and after convincing her it was time to go home they left but not before telling the girls they would be back in the morning. Rory tried to convince her mother to go home but she knew she wouldnt, they chatted until Rory yawned, Luke having gone home some hours ago to get the crap shack ready for Rory to come home. Lorelai climbed into bed with Rory after she had fallen asleep, because she had began to thrash in her sleep, Lorelai was sure she was having a nightmare, soothing her out of it she stayed in bed next to her baby girl even when she began to sleep peacefully.

"Lorelai can I ask you a question" Sapphire whispered in the dark of the hospital room,

"Sure"

"What am i going to do when I am released from hospital, I cant go back to my father" Lorelai listened to the girl her voice not that of a young woman but more a scared little girl,

"I have an Inn, do you know how to clean" Lorelai asked, remembering a long time ago when someone had taken her in when she was just a scared little girl,

"Yh I know how to clean" Sapphire answered quizzical,

"do you want to have a live in job as a maid at my Inn, I'm not saying it's going to be glamorous or well paid, but you will have no living expenses and you will be able to eat food that Sookie cooks, she is a brilliant chef"

"Thank you so much"

"No problem" Lorelai began to doze off cuddled up to her daughter.

Logan's Hospital Room

Detective Monetti knocked on the door and walked in when he heard Mitchum tell him to, walking into the room he saw that Logan was still out but Mitchum was on his own,

"Can I ask how he is"

"He is stable but something is keeping him asleep, he isn't in a coma per say but he isn't waking up either" Mitchum looked like he was visibly shaking as he spoke,

"How are you and Shira holding up" Detective Monetti asked,

"We are ok, we just want him to wake up, Shira is currently at home changing her clothes and bringing me a change, I refuse to leave him, I have done that over the years, you know a couple of years ago he was in a worse state having attempted a stunt that went wrong but I didn't visit him in hospital till the fire cracker Rory Gilmore called me and gave me the biggest scolding since before I was Logan's age and had screwed up. Rory is so good for my son but both of them are too scared to admit it to themselves, I know they are still in love." Mitchum explained,

"Speaking of Rory, I have some news but it has to stay between the two of us, Shira must not know" when Mitchum nodded he continued, "Rory is safe and well, she is currently on a different floor of this hospital, the men who kidnapped her are dead after getting into a car accident, but one of the men indicated who hired him before he died, it was Shira"

"WHAT!" two voices questioned, Monetti's head whipped towards the door but when he found no-one there he looked to the bed to see Logan awake his eyes wide and Mitchum trying to calm him down, a nurse came rushing in having heard the commotion and after checking on Logan she left.

"Son are you ok, are you in any pain?" Mitchum asked,

"No Dad, What the hell is going on?" Logan croaked, his throat dry, Monetti passed him a glass of water and Logan took gulps but was urged to slow down to sips by his father.

Mitchum quietly explained what had happened to him and Rory over the last couple of days, then Detective Monetti began to explain why he was suspicious of Shira,

"But my Mom wouldn't do that, would she?" Logan questioned, feeling like he didn't know anything anymore,

"This would easily take over the worst thing she had ever done, she once paid a maid to leave the country and threatened her with ruining her life when she accidently left you at a park when you were small, but I don't think she is capable of this" Mitchum was just as disbelieving as Logan, Monetti explained the evidence that he had gathered so far and explained his plan to Mitchum and Logan.
