Heyo, everyone! Black Fuego here with the first Life at Beacon story since February! Man…it's really has been a long time since I've updated this…but hey, at least I can finally focus on this collection now that BLAD of RWBY and JNPR is done. So excited for Volume 2 to start and the upcoming videogame that they might make. I'm looking forward to it. Now, this story is going to be focusing on something that I really should've written a while back; The Senior Prank Yang and Baltazar pulled with Ruby and Cody that got them in so much trouble before three of the four attended Beacon. It'll be a flashback story just like Forjador Campout, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the mayhem the two pairs of siblings caused in this newest addition of BLAD of RWBY and JNPR: Life at Beacon!

Disclaimer: I don't own RWBY nor any other references that may be referenced in this story. I am just a man waiting for Volume 2 to come out, just like every other person that may be reading this. And if you're reading this in the future…eh…never mind. I got nothing.

Timeframe: Between Chapters 12 and 13 of BLAD of RWBY and JNPR.

Signal Send-Off

"…And that, my friends, is why I am banned from all pancake houses all throughout my hometown until I'm twenty two!" Nora stated with a large grin on her face, not noticing the looks of disbelief on her friends' faces.

"Uh…wow, Nora. That was really…uh…what's the word I'm looking for…?" Blake muttered, trying to find the words.

"Convoluted?" Levy supplied.

"There we go."

"Convoluted is right…" Weiss said in disbelief. "I can't believe you went through all that trouble just to get a syrup recipe and ended up getting banned from your town's restaurants in the process."

"Hey! That syrup was delicious! I bet it'll make even your pancakes taste better!" The bubbly bomber cried out, causing everyone to either sweatdrop or laugh while Weiss shot her a dark look.

It has been a few days since the incident team RWBY was involved in with Roman and the White Fang and it was only recently that they decided to tell their friends about it. While many were shocked by the revelations of certain things, such as Blake being a Faunus and both her and Baltazar's father being in the White Fang, all agreed that despite everything, they still trust the revealed Cat Faunus and still see her as a friend, much to her relief. She was still very concerned by what Roman and the White Fang was up to, but she'll keep it to herself until the time was right.

Currently the three teams were hanging out in the cafeteria, passing time until their next class starts, when Nora told her tale involving her trying to get what she considered to be the greatest syrup recipe in the world, and getting herself in loads of trouble in the process.

"Heh, if you guys thought that was convoluted, you should hear the pranks that Sparky and I pulled when we were in Signal," Yang grinned before turning to her fellow graduate. "Right, Sparky?"

"…"

"Uh…Sparky?"

"*Snore* No Weiss…I don't want any blueberries…"

"Aaaand he's out. Should've guessed," Yang snickered while staring at the sleeping ninja in front of her.

"Are you still trying to get him to eat more fruits and vegetables, Weiss?" Levy asked curiously, "You know he won't eat most of them. He's a tiger; he'll always have a preference towards meat."

"I know, but I really want him to expand his diet a little more. All he eats for fruits and vegetables that he doesn't use in his dishes are strawberries, apples, oranges and potatoes…and even then he usually turns the potatoes into fries or something," The heiress pouted.

"Hey, hey! Save the talk about Balto's meat cravings for later, I wanna hear about the pranks he and Sunny pulled." Ash requested in an eager tone.

"If you guys want to know the full story about our escapades, then I suggest you guys try and wake Sparky up. He's able to explain more on certain parts of our pranks better than I could and vise-versa." Yang suggested.

"Ok…how do suggest we do that?" Ren questioned.

"I got it," Dia grinned as she leaned next to her leader's head.

"Holy Crap! Is That Weiss Fighting Nora In A Hula Girl Outfit Again?!"

"WHERE!?"

"BALTAZAR!"

*SLAP!*

"OW!"

Everyone began laughing hard after Weiss slapped Baltazar in the face, amused by the heiress's embarrassment and the ninja's confusion. Weiss was sporting a fierce blush and was looking away from everyone while Baltazar had a very confused expression while staring at his girlfriend.

"Uh…was there a bee on my face…or did I say something stupid in my sleep in front of Weiss again?"

"This happened before…?" Jaune questioned quietly in disbelief.

"Eh, that's not important right now, Sparky. Right now, I need your help telling the others about our amazing pranking escapades during our time at Signal," Yang grinned.

"Oh…are we going to tell them about the time you switched the professors' entire supply of coffee with hot chocolate mixed with dirt, the time we had that trio of bullies hanging by their underwear near the docks, or the time I filled the school's pool with gravy and you dared me to swim in it…?" Baltazar questioned, causing everyone to stare at him in surprise.

"Oh you had fun in the last one and you know it. It was the only time you were able to swim, anyways, and you seemed to enjoy licking the gravy off of yourself," The fire brawler grinned, casing the lightning ninja to nod slightly in agreement.

"That swimming in gravy thing actually happened…?" Dia muttered in disbelief.

"You learn something new every day," Levy giggled.

"Oh! How about the Senior Prank you guys keep talking about?!" Nora exclaimed, getting nearly everyone to nod in approval.

"Yeah, we would like to hear about it," Pyrrha suggested with a kind smile.

"The only ones who know about it are Levy and Weiss, and those two never really talk about those kinds of things," Jaune spoke up.

"It wasn't really a topic that we brought up, honestly," Levy shrugged, "I thought it was funny, but Weiss wasn't really happy when she heard it because it prevented Baltazar from visiting us before we came here while Yang was stuck in Signal cleaning her uncle's office, according to Ruby."

"I had all sorts of stuff for us to do before we started classes and you ruined it with that stupid prank of yours, you dolt," Weiss muttered, causing Baltazar to flinch as if he was slapped again.

"Aww…C'mon, Weiss! I said I was sorry!" The ninja pleaded to the heiress, only to receive an annoyed glare in response.

"What did you two do that would get you two in so much trouble, anyways?" Ren asked curiously.

"They blew up the school."

"WHAT?!" Everyone screamed while looking at Ruby in surprise.

"Hey, don't pin it all on us, Sis. You were in on it too. Both you and Cody," Yang stated in a stern tone, surprising the others once more, before turning to the others, "And we didn't actually blow up the school. We used paint bombs, not actual bombs. If we used live explosives, Sparky and I would be in jail or something."

"Guess that explains why Weiss smacked Cody in the head with a book the first time he came here…" Blake muttered to herself.

"Oh, now I really want to hear this," Ash grinned as he and Nora moved in closer to listen better.

"Ok, ok, you guys'll get your story. Relax, will ya?" Yang laughed. "Ok, I got the idea when the two of us were just hanging out in our room together. We really weren't doing much when the idea just popped into my head…"

-Flashback, one year ago, Signal Academy, Yang and Baltazar's dorm room-

"Oh yeah… Looking good," Yang grinned as she took a picture of herself in front of her large mirror. Looking at her picture proudly, she pocketed her phone and looked around her room, remembering that it'll only be a short time before she leaves this place for good.

The room itself was a decent size for a two-person dorm, with two beds with blue and yellow sheets on both sides of it, various amounts of boy band posters and weapon sketches pinned on the wall and the floor, while relatively clean, sporting a couple boxes of pizza off to a corner next to a mini-fridge full of sodas and energy drinks. Quietly chuckling to herself, the blonde opened the fridge and grabbed both a soda and an energy drink and walked up to a nearby desk, where she could hear her roommate mumbling about something.

"Hm… If I do this, I'll increase the rate of fire, but in doing so I'll need to up the capacity of shuriken I can hold. In order to do that, though, I have to remove the wires I recently added. Maybe if I use smaller shuriken…that might work, but then I won't be able to try out the new electric ones I just developed. Ok then… how about-"

*Tap*

"How about you take a break before you overload your brain again, Sparky," Yang snickered as she tapped her roommate's head with the can of cola she got for him.

"Yang, can you please stop calling me Sparky and just use my real name for once in your life? I mean, seriously, 'Baltazar' isn't that hard to pronounce, is it?" Baltazar groaned, turning to the blonde with annoyed dark brown eyes behind a pair of black framed glasses before accepting the drink.

"Stop calling me Flare and I'll stop calling you Sparky."

"But you like it when I call you that!"

"Exactly! And be happy that I call you that instead of something like Captain Cat-Eyes or Sir Sleeps-A-Lot! Haha!"

"But I-You-Are you-What do-I don't-My eyes aren't-Ugh…forget it. I give up," The black haired teen groaned before turning his attention back to his work.

"Heh, should've given up years ago, Sparky," Yang stated teasingly as she opened her drink and took a sip. "So…whatcha workin' on?"

"Just trying to increase the rate of fire for the shuriken launcher in Gentle Storms without removing the side-grades that I added in," Baltazar replied before handing his roommate the sketch he was currently working on. "Still having trouble with it. I think I might have to use smaller shuriken and create more lightning shuriken of the same size in order to get it to work."

"Oh…that's going to be expensive, isn't it?" Yang winced as she looked at the design, well aware that some of her partner's projects cost quite a bit of lien to make. Especially smaller versions of his more intricate pieces of work.

"Not as much as you think… I'm just being stingy. I kinda want to save some of my money to develop some new types of explosive kunai, but I think I might need to dip into that fund in order to get this enhancement up and running," The ninja shrugged before taking the sketch back and opened his own can of soda.

"Hmm…" Yang hummed softly and took a sip from her drink as a thought began running through her head before speaking up in a pleading tone. "Hey Sparky, mind if I ask you something?"

"If you're trying to get me to go out with one of your friends again, I already told you hundreds of times that the answer is no…" Baltazar spoke up in a tired tone.

"What makes you think I was gonna ask you that?" Yang questioned curiously.

"When you ask me for something in that tone, you're usually either trying to make me help you with a prank or set me up for a date, and since you haven't tried to get me to go out for a while, I just assumed that's what you're trying to do." Baltazar explained with a shrug.

"Oh I'm done trying to set you up. It's a lost cause now that I know the reason why you won't go out with anyone here," Yang stated as she stared at a photo on the desk, which held her roommate grinning elatedly with a pretty looking white haired girl with a pony tail with their arms wrapped around each other in what looked like a tropical island. She smiled softly at that, as it showed her friend being the happiest he's been since she met him.

"Yeah…" Baltazar mumbled quietly, looking at the photo himself that was taken during his vacation at Serenity Island before turning his attention back to Yang. "So you want me to help you out with another prank?"

"You know it!" The blonde grinned. "And it'll be our best one yet! Hell, I would even consider it our Senior Prank because of how awesome it'll be."

"Ok…this sounds kinda interesting," The black haired teen grinned back. "So what's this prank idea of yours that's gonna blow all our other pranks out of the water?"

"Funny you should say that…" Yang stated as she began to smile more mischievously while Baltazar took a sip from his cola, "Let's go find our siblings and get their inventive genius in gear, Sparky, because we're gonna blow the school up!"

*PFFT!*

"WHAT!?"

"Hehe, nice spit-take."

-End Flashback-

"Glad to know you were as shocked as we were when you first heard of the idea, Baltazar," Jaune muttered.

"I thought she actually wanted to blow Signal up before she fully explained to me her plan, and even then it still took a bit of convincing in order to get me to go for it," The shinobi shrugged.

"What did she do to convince you to play along?" Nora asked eagerly.

"I promised him that I'll pay for the next couple orders of pizza that we'd get after we pull it off. Easiest way to get Sparky to do something for him is to bribe him with that stuff, especially if you throw in those red pepper flakes he showers most of his dishes in," Yang explained.

"…Ok, I can see that," Weiss admitted while looking at her boyfriend, well aware by how easily swayed he is when his favorite food is brought up.

"Ok, if that's how you got Baltazar to agree with your idea, how did you convince Ruby and Cody to help you? I don't think those two would actually be ok with something like that," Pyrrha questioned while looking at the young leader.

"I can actually see the Cub being on board with it. Rosie, on the other hand…yeah, I kinda doubt cookies would've been enough for her to help you dudes out," Ash spoke up.

"Yeah…it did took a bit of work from the three of us to get my baby sister to help, but the three of us managed to do it," Yang grinned as she looked at Ruby, who was glaring back at her in annoyance.

-Flashback, Signal Academy Forging Stations, One year ago-

"No Way! I'm not doing it!" Ruby cried while shaking her head rapidly.

"Aww, c'mon, Sis! It'll be fun!" Yang whined before turning to the Azul brothers for aid. "Hey boys, help me out here!"

"Hm… Have you thought about using tesla rounds for your blade yet, Cody?" Baltazar muttered, looking at his brother's rifle-claymore with interest.

"I'm having trouble trying to integrate them without interfering with the Lightning Dust that's already in my weapon, Brother. The Dust keeps trying to drain the energy from the rounds and I have no idea how to stop it," Cody sighed sadly.

"Maybe you should try using a different casing for the Dust so it wouldn't absorb the rounds. In fact, why didn't you do it when designing this thing?"

"I wasn't thinking of using tesla rounds initially and you know how expensive it is to get-"

"BOYS!"

"What!? What happened!?" "Are my burritos done!?"

"I need you guys to help me convince Ruby to help us with the pranks, not work on the little tiger's weapon! And you already ate your burritos, Short-Stack!" Yang shouted.

"Don't call me Short-Stack!" Cody cried out and tried to lunge after the blonde before he was grabbed by the hood by his brother.

"Unless you want to be beaten to a paste and burned to a crisp at the same time again, I suggest you calm down now, little brother," Baltazar said in a stern tone before focusing his attention back to Yang. "So things are not working out on your end, Flare?"

"I will not help you guys blow up Signal!"

"That answer your question, Sparky?" Yang drawled.

"Ruby, will you relax? We're just going to set paint bombs in the school bullies' lockers, not set of a nuke or something. It won't be that bad," Baltazar stated in a calm voice.

"Nu-uh! I'm not doing it! Do you have any idea how angry Dad and Uncle Qrow will be if we do this! You two might get expelled before you even graduate if you two do this!"

"How did Yang convince you to do this anyways, Brother? You usually don't do stuff this extreme…" Cody asked after calming down a bit, with his brother still holding onto his hood.

"Pizza." The elder siblings stated simply.

"Figures…" Cody muttered as he facepalmed while Ruby groaned in exasperation.

"C'mon, Sis! Do it for me!" Yang pleaded with her eyes wide, trying to pull off the puppy dog eyes like the young girl in front of her can.

"Nope! Not gonna happen," Ruby insisted, shocking her sister.

"Aww, why didn't the eyes work?! They always work for her!"

"It's 'cause Rubes is cute and innocent. You're too hot and sexy for the eyes to work," Cody spoke up, causing everyone to stare at him in surprise. "…What?"

"You really got to watch what you say, little brother," Baltazar muttered softly, "If Weiss ever heard you say something like that, she'd freeze you to a wall again."

"…Yeah. I can see Big Sis doing that to me…" Cody spoke softly before shivering.

"If you two are done talking to yourselves, I need some help getting Ruby to join in on the fun! She makes bombs just as fast as you two and she's more experienced with the ones we want to use compared to your guys' explosives."

"She does have a point…" Baltazar mumbled to himself before walking up to Ruby, "Ruby, can you please help us? If you do, I'll make you those strawberry shortcakes that you always like."

"Yeah! And I'll throw in my special cheesecake too! C'mon, Sis, help us?!" Yang pleaded.

"Uh…I-I don't…are you…will you really…?"

"Quick! She's caving!" Yang shouted before turning to the youngest of the group, "Cody! You're up!"

"Are you freakin' serious…" Cody muttered before sighing in defeat. "Rubes, just help us, ok? I'll throw in those strawberry cookies you like so much if you do, so, please, help us out with the prank so Yang can stop bit-"

"Cody! Language!" Baltazar and Yang shouted angrily, their eyes turning blue and red respectively and Baltazar's pupils narrowed to slits.

"What?! You want me to get Rubes in this or-"

"Can I have them at the same time?"

"Yes, Rubes, you can have them at the same time. Now, what do you two-ACK!"

"I'll do it!" Ruby cheered as she clung to Cody tightly while their elder siblings chuckled at the sight.

"Well…now that that's taken care of, what's next on the agenda, Flare?" Baltazar asked curiously.

"Glad you asked, Sparky," Yang grinned before turning to her sister and the boy she just released from being squeezed to death. "Ok Ruby, you're in charge of making the bombs. I'll help out here and there, but between the two of us, you're the forging expert here. Cody, think you can hack into the school's system and find the schematics or something so Sparky and I can find the lockers we need to target?"

"Yeah, I can. All I'm gonna need is my computer equipment and some other-Wait, what?"

-End Flashback-

"You had Cody hack into the school's system?! Why would you do that?!" Pyrrha shouted in astonishment.

"Because the only other hacker that we knew that can get into the school easily is Senior, and we didn't want him involved." Yang shrugged.

"Oh… did he teach him how to hack into systems?" Pyrrha questioned in a curious, yet angry tone.

"The little guy actually taught himself how to do it after he got tired of Pop trying to see his grades all the time. He's actually quite skilled in it," Baltazar answered in an amused tone.

"Don't you know how to hack into other systems as well? I mean, you did get into CRDL's scrolls a few months back," Blake spoke up.

"Yeah, but I don't do it as often as Cody does. Heck, for a while he would try and change the school's lunch menu so that they wouldn't serve tomatoes and coleslaw whenever he can. Had to stop when the teachers were catching on, but he's a frequent hacker." The lightning ninja explained.

"I think I remember seeing him do that a few times. It was kinda funny seeing him so nervous whenever it was tomato salad day at Signal and they handed us chicken instead." Ruby giggled softly.

"And I can't believe you actually got them to make you their treats at the same time… Do you know how much sugar you might've consumed at that time?" Weiss questioned her partner scoldingly.

"I wouldn't worry about that, Weiss," Levy spoke up, "From what I understand, Ruby's semblance gives her a high metabolism, and in order for her to utilize her powers to its full extent, she needs a lot of sugar and carbs in her so she can stay energized."

"Is that the reason why Chief is always sleeping? I remember a couple hunters back at my village that used to sleep a lot because of how much energy they use," Dia questioned.

"Eh…I guess it is…I never really thought about why I sleep so much. We just figured I got it from Pop or something," Baltazar shrugged unsurely.

"So…what happened after you three got Ruby involved?" Ren asked patiently while Nora was bouncing in excitement.

"Oh, what happened next was actually kinda funny," Baltazar snickered. "You see, shortly after my brother printed me a copy of the school's lay-out, Ruby actually managed to finish one of the bombs we were going to use and Yang told us to meet in our room to see it."

-Flashback, Signal Academy dorms, one year ago-

"Tada! What do you think?" Ruby questioned as she showed a marble sized yellow ball to Baltazar and Cody, the brothers looking at it curiously.

"Uh…this is it?" Cody muttered unsurely.

"Wow…" Baltazar whispered as he gently took the small bomb. "You actually managed to condense the paint into such a small form, small enough that it would be unnoticeable even if the paint is like this one. It's pretty heavy too, so there has to be a lot of paint stored in here. You even managed to get two different types of detonators in here, and that isn't easy with how small this thing is. Gotta say, Ruby, I'm impressed."

"Hehehe…thanks, Bro," Ruby laughed quietly at the praise while Cody and Yang stared at him in surprise.

"How did you know all that, Sparky?" Yang questioned curiously.

"I read about bombs like this when I was doing research for my own explosive kunai a while back. I thought it would be a good idea to look into them if I ever want to make something like them," Baltazar explained with a shrug.

"Weapons research again. Brother? I swear it's like you enjoy doing that more than playing videogames sometimes," Cody laughed, causing his brother to shrug.

"I didn't even know she put in two different types of detonators in here," Yang admitted as she took the small bomb and held it in between her fingers.

"Yup! I added in a remote control detonator with a wide range, so we wouldn't be near the school when we blow it up!" Ruby grinned.

"And what's the second one?" Cody questioned.

"It's pressure sensitive," Baltazar spoke up. "I was able to tell as soon as I grabbed it. The thing will explode if enough pressure is put into it. Ruby, how much pressure is required for it to go off?"

"Uh…not much actually," Ruby shrugged, causing the forging brothers to widen their eyes in shock. "I mean, if a book or something fell on it, it'll obviously explode, but I made sure that dropping it or something like that wouldn't make it go."

"What if someone tried to squeeze it with their hands?" Baltazar questioned in a nervous tone, while taking a quick glance at the blonde holding the bomb in her fingers curiously.

"Oh, that's not gonna be a problem. I made sure that only the strongest grip would make-"

*BOOM*

"…"

Ruby and the brothers stared at each other blankly, covered head to toe in yellow paint, before turning to Yang, who was also in a coat of yellow, with her hand now lacking the bomb she was playing with and a stunned expression on her face.

"…You forgot how strong your sister was, didn't you?" Cody grumbled, with Ruby nodding slightly in agreement.

"Hehehe…oops," Yang apologized sheepishly, surprisingly not angry that the explosion she caused covered her precious hair in paint, and looked around with a wince when she saw that the room she and Baltazar shared was nearly completely yellow.

"I think you might want to remove the pressure detonator from the other bombs after this, Ruby," Baltazar muttered dryly, removing his glasses in order to see everyone without a yellow hue.

"Ok…"

-End Flashback-

"Hehe. It's one of the few times that Yang's hair got messed up and she wasn't even angry about it. That itself was somewhat of a miracle," Baltazar chuckled, causing everyone to look at him in surprise.

"Yeah…well…it was kinda my fault that I made us and the room get a paint job. I was the one who messed up my hair too and I can't really beat myself up for that…I'm not that flexible yet," Yang laughed sheepishly, causing the others to laugh as well.

"I bet it took you two a long time to clean up all that paint, huh?" Pyrrha giggled.

"Oh yeah, and we couldn't really have Cody or Ruby help us out because they weren't allowed in the upperclassmen's dorms for very long. We spent the entire night cleaning the place up and ended up passing out as soon as we were done…and ended up cleaning up again because we forgot to shower after we finished," Yang smiled pathetically.

"I had to get a new pair of glasses after that because the paint wouldn't come off my other pair. Mom was not happy about that, since she's the one who usually buys my replacements.

"Why don't you buy your own glasses, dude? You got money…" Ash questioned curiously.

"Yeah, but the money I have doesn't really last long. My inventions and modifications are not cheap to make, you know." Baltazar stated.

"Makes sense," Blake muttered to herself before turning to her partner and fellow Ninja Faunus, "So what happened after that? I assume this is the part where you two actually went through with the prank?"

"Yup!" Yang grinned, "The two of us broke into the school and placed a single bomb in the lockers of every bully in Signal. Cody managed to print off a list of them and we made sure that no locker in it was left unrigged. He and Ruby were off near the docks, ready to make the bombs go off as soon as we finished."

-Flashback, Signal Academy Docks, one year ago-

"Looks like they're almost done," Cody muttered as he looked at the Scroll in his hands, with Ruby peering at it herself over her best friend's shoulder. "I'd say they got another minute or two before they show up here."

"You think they'll finish that fast?" Ruby questioned curiously.

"Yeah, I do. You know how skilled my brother is in stealth operations like this, and with your sister being his second best friend and roommate, I'm positive she's picked up a couple things from him." Cody explained.

"Second best friend?" Ruby repeated curiously.

"Of course. Our siblings are close, but Big Sis is someone who will always be number one in Brother's book, and I wouldn't have it any other way," The young tiger smiled softly, causing the small rose to smile back at him.

"Hey, we interrupting anything?"

Jumping at the curious voice, the two second year students turned to see their elder siblings behind them with accomplished expressions on their faces… At least that was what the two assumed. The pair was dressed in all black clothes, with the ninja in a long-sleeved black shirt with matching pants and boots while the brawler was in a skin-tight catsuit and solid black heels, with masks covering their faces and dark sunglasses on in order to hide their eyes. The sight of the two caused the younger pair to relax.

"*phew* I thought you were my uncle or something, Baltazar," Ruby sighed in relief before turning to her sister in disapproval, "Sis…why did you insist on wearing that thing?"

"What? Stuff like this is perfect for stealth operations like this. Besides, it's not every day that I get to use this thing for anything other than Halloween," Yang grinned as she removed the face mask and gestured to herself.

"Baltazar, why did you get her that thing for Halloween, anyways?" Cody questioned his brother.

"Eh, thought it would suit her pretty well," Baltazar shrugged, unaware of the joke he made until Yang spoke up.

"Haha! You made a pun! I knew I was rubbing off on you," Yang laughed as she grabbed her roommate in a one armed hug.

"I know, and I'm both worried and ashamed," Baltazar sighed in depression.

"Ok, ok! Can we get this over with? I kinda want to do this before we get caught, please!" Ruby pleaded.

"Oh relax, you two. If we get caught, the two of us were planning to take most of the blame anyways. It was our idea after all," Yang assured.

"Mostly yours, Flare, but you do have a point. You two won't get in as much trouble as we might get, so don't worry about it," Baltazar confirmed.

"Ok then…if you're sure," Cody sighed before taking out a small device with a big red button on it. "So…who wants to do the honors?"

"Oh,oh,oh, me, me, me, me! Yang volunteered as she raised her and up like an excited child in school.

"You ok with that, Baltazar?" Ruby asked politely.

"Eh, I'm ok with it. Besides, she already got the button," Baltazar said as he pointed at the gleeful Yang holding the detonation button.

"Kukuku… get ready to have your lockers blown in a rainbow of smithereens, you fiendish bullies," Yang cackled before pressing the button.

"…"

"…"

"…"

"…Nothing happened," Baltazar mumbled before looking at the confused blonde curiously.

"Rubes, you did make sure the bombs were remote activated and not pressure sensitive, right?" Cody questioned.

"Yeah, I did. You even double checked to make sure I made them right, remember?" Ruby pointed out. "There must be a delay or something. I'm sure the bombs will go off soon enough."

"Hm…maybe I was supposed to press it more than once," Yang suggested before she pressed the button repeatedly, causing Ruby to look at her in alarm.

"Wait, Sis! Don't do that! If you press the button too much I think you might-"

*KABOOOM!*

The four students flinched heavily, with the younger pair actually stumbling on the floor, when a very loud explosion was heard and made the ground quake slightly. Turning around to the source of the noise, the group paled when they saw their school completely coated in various colors of paint, with red, blue and yellow being the more pronounced colors. Windows were shattered and doors were broken due to the force of the blast and even the walls had cracks in them. The sight of their school left the quartet speechless.

"…Overload…the signals…" Ruby finished pathetically.

"I didn't know the bombs had that big a blast radius," Cody muttered in confusion.

"They shouldn't," Baltazar stated as he looked at the floor-plan of the school, "We put one bomb in every bully's locker from each year, and that wouldn't've caused an explosion that big…or that forceful."

"Wait…one bomb? We were only supposed to put one bomb in each locker?" Yang questioned, causing everyone to look at her strangely.

"Uh…Yeah. We agreed to put only one bomb each locker and save the rest just in case we need them." Baltazar said slowly before his eyes widened in surprise, "Wait a minute, where's the bag of leftover bombs? You were the one that had them last, remember?"

"Oh. I thought we weren't going to need them after today, so I used them all." Yang shrugged.

"WHAT!?" The others cried before Ruby rushed to her sister and shook her arms frantically.

"Sis! I made over seventy bombs! How many did you put in the lockers that can cause an explosion that big!?"

"I dunno…three or four each? I remember putting about eight or so in the lockers of the worse bullies, but-"

"ARE YOU INSANE!?" Ruby, Cody and Baltazar shouted heated, with the brothers' eyes changing together in their anger.

"She gets it from her mother…"

Flinching at the calm voice, the four turned their head slowly to see an imposing figure standing near them with a stern gaze, a black cat with blue eyes sitting on his shoulder looking at the quartet with a mix of curiosity and amusement.

"Uh…Hi Uncle Qrow…" Yang greeted nervously. "Would it be ok if you…well…you know…let us off with a warning for this? And not have Charcoal tell dad or Senior about it?"

"Not a chance, sweetie."

"We thought not…"

-End Flashback-

"After that, the four of us had to get the paint off and had to help pay for the damages we caused to the school, not to mention we got detention until it was almost graduation. It wasn't until we got home where the real punishment started for us." Yang sighed.

"Cody and I were grounded for most of the summer, not allowed to visit Forjador to see Weiss and Levy again, and were forced to help Pop out in his repair business while Yang had to go back to the academy occasionally to work as Professor Qrow's office maid. Ruby had it the easiest, though. She only got grounded and wasn't allowed to be with her sweets or Crescent Rose for about a month." Baltazar explained.

"Hey! You have no idea the kind of torture I went through because of that!" Ruby argued, causing everyone to sweatdrop.

"Well…at least we don't have to worry about you three blowing up Beacon or making anymore paint bombs, right?" Ren asked with a touch of nervousness in his voice.

"Actually, I still have one left," Yang spoke up and pulled out a small, marble sized pink ball, causing Ruby and Baltazar to flinch. "I found it in one of the lockers that we targeted. Looks like this little guy's a dud."

"Oooh, lemme see, lemme see!" Nora asked hyperactively before swiping the paint bomb out of the brawler's hand.

"Are you sure it's a dud, Yang?" Pyrrha questioned nervously.

"Well, yeah. After all, it didn't go off with the others. What else could it be?" Yang shrugged.

"It might be one of the C.R.P. Bombs that I added into the mix," Ruby spoke up.

"C.R.P. Bomb?" Levy repeated curiously.

"Yeah. Chain Reaction Paint Bomb. It's one of the pressure sensitive bombs that I made, but I made sure to recalibrate the sensitivity so that the accident that happen in Baltazar and Yang's room wouldn't happen. I guess I had the calibration wrong on that one," Ruby explained.

"Sis…why didn't you tell us about those bombs before?" Yang questioned in a tone of disbelief.

"Didn't think it was important at the time." The little rose shrugged, "Besides, if it didn't go off with the others, it probably requires more pressure in order for it to explode."

"Does being slammed by Magnhild count?" Jaune questioned fearfully as he pointed at Nora, who had placed the bomb on the floor and was about to hit it with her hammer with a wicked smile on her face.

"Uh oh."

"BANZAI!"

"HIT THE DECK!"

*SLAM*

*BOOM!*

Not a moment after Magnhild hit the bomb, the cafeteria exploded in a burst of pink paint. Those who heard the warning managed to protect themselves from the blast, but some were not as lucky. A few moments later, the students managed to get out of their covers to survey the damage.

"Did any get on my hair?" Yang asked hopefully, not caring about the paint on her legs and skirt.

"You're fine, Yang. Can't say the same for me, though…" Baltazar muttered as he removed his half painted glasses from his partially pink face and grimaced when he saw that the lenses were cracked.

"Azul! I'll get another pair if you can get that cousin of yours to fix my hat!" A female voice called out from across the room, waving a pink hat in the air.

"It's fine, Coco! I got some extra cash on me this time! But I'm sure Levy will still fix your hat if you ask!"

"Of course I'll fix it! Just leave it on my team's door handle later and I'll get it ready for you by tomorrow!" Levy spoke up kindly, waving back with a completely pink hand.

"Cool!"

"Grr…why does this crap always happen to us!" Cardin cried as he stared at his completely pink uniform.

"Hey, at least you don't live with her," Jaune muttered softly so that his teammates wouldn't hear him, rubbing his hand through his pink hair in the process.

"WOO! That was awesome!"

"NORA!" Everyone in the cafeteria cried out in anger while glaring at he completely pink Valkyrie with her matching hammer.

"Ahem!"

Hearing someone clear his throat, everyone turned to see Ozpin standing near the entrance to the cafeteria with the other instructors beside him. To add confusion to the students, Charcoal was also with him, standing near the silver haired man's feet with its eyes heavy with amusement.

"Do I want to know what happened here?" The headmaster asked slowly.

"Uh…nothing much sir. Just us having a blast," Yang laughed sheepishly.

*Pow*

"Ow! What was…huh? A pair of gla-Sparky!"

"Coco did it!"

"Screw you, Azul!"

"And here I thought your friend gets along pretty well with others, Jaune."

"Eh, can't win them all, Cardin."

Ozpin had to repress a chuckle as he watch his students either talk or argue amongst each other. There are times where he wondered if any of the children in front of him were up to the tasks that will eventually land on their laps, but those thoughts quickly left after seeing stuff like this. He wasn't sure why, but he had reason to believe that his newest crop of students had the potential to be the best huntsmen and huntresses that will walk out of his school. He had utter faith in them, with one in particular catching his interest, to the point where he allowed her to come to his school early.

"Hm… It seems that these students are not the bundles of wasted energy that I once called them. I am sure that, given time, every single one of these students will excel into something great. Whether it would be for better or worse will be up to them, but I have a feeling that these children in front of me will change the world we live in.

…I can't wait to see what my students will accomplish in the future."

Author's Note: Well…I finished this faster than expected. I'm not complaining, though. I've been wanting to update Life at Beacon for a while now and now I got this, and about four to six more stories I plan to write and upload before I go on to my next big project. I can't believe it took me over half a year to actually write the Senior Prank story, but at least I finally got around to it. I'm not sure when the next short story will pop up, as I will be going out of town pretty soon, but I will try and write and upload one more story before I head out. I hope you guys enjoyed this new addition to Life at Beacon and have a nice day!
