From there we got in the car again and made our way back home. We didn't make it home until nearly seven in the evening and when we made it home, my aunts and my grandmother grabbed everything, not even letting me grab any bags before dashing into the house. I wondered why they wouldn't let me help... unless it was because they had bought something for me... I groaned quietly and walked inside, seeing everyone sitting in the living room now.

"So, where did you guys run off to?" Jasper asked, his southern drawl was light, almost joyful.

"We went to the mall, we picked up some last minute stuff for prom this year, including Masen and Darien's suits... and a dress for Renesmee." I shot a look at my aunt.

"What?! When did you buy me a prom dress?" I asked.

"Wow... I wondered why you were looking spaced out, you weren't even paying attention." Alice huffed playfully. "None the less, would you please try it on? I'd love to see you in it." Was there really a point in arguing with my hyper, cheerful, aunt? No. So with a smile and I nodded, following her.

Renesmee's POV

After three weeks of tortuous prom preparation, my aunt Alice had finally stopped buying things for Prom. When she had me try on the dress, I kept my eyes closed because I hadn't wanted to see it until the actual prom day, and of course, today was that day. One of the couple traits I had earned from my mother was my disliking of huge events, but I supposed that I could do this for my family.

Today was Saturday, the day of prom, and honestly, I wanted to sleep in as long as I could. I was laying flat on my stomach and I turned onto my side away from the large window to avoid the blinding sunlight. I was slightly woken by the feeling of an all too familiar body against mine, holding me and gently and soothingly rubbing his hand on my back. I didn't alert him that I was awake, instead I turned and very quietly and sleepily said "Jake." and fell into a light sleep once more.

It wasn't until I felt his warm lips touch my forehead that I woke. I glared at him a little, but then smiled, trying to bury my head in the pillows once more. But instead, Jake shook his head and held me in place. "Sorry Ness, your aunt wants you in her bathroom immediately after you take a shower, dry your hair, and stuff. She said that she wouldn't and couldn't waste anytime in getting you ready." I sighed and nodded. No use in arguing with my aunt, even if it was only noon and prom didn't start until seven tonight.

Slowly I got up and looked at Jake, waiting for him to leave so I could undress and make my way into my bathroom. But he sat there, Oh yes! His good morning kiss! I felt bad for almost forgetting, but I fixed that by pressing my lips to his gently. "Good Morning baby."

"Now that's better." Jake said, kissing me back on the lips once before leaving. "I'm going out for a little bit, going to go and visit with my dad for a while before prom tonight." I nodded sadly. I pulled him into my arms once more as I hugged him and pressed my lips to his once more. This time though I moved them against his with passion and yearning urgency. I smiled when he was the one looking speechless as I pulled away from him. "That was definitely better." He said, his smile wide upon his lips.

"Now get outta here!" I said playfully. "I do need to shower so Alice can have me ready for you tonight." With a chuckle he exited, but not before blowing me a quick kiss. Sighing happily, I then proceeded to undress after making my way into my bathroom, carrying my towel, my bathrobe, and my toiletries with me. As I turned the dial on the shower, I closed my eyes, thinking about prom. I was never usually one for prom, but I was a little excited. Also, more than that, I was excited to see if my brothers were going to go with anyone. I made me smile, to know if my brothers had dates to go with them.

As I stepped into the shower, I was happy to feel the warm water rain down on my skin. If I could, I would just stand in this water all day, but knowing my aunt, she would never let that happen. With speed, I grabbed my razor and began shaving my legs and under my arms. This was one of the unfortunate things about being part human, the hair growth. Even so, I was able to remove all traces of hair and to wash myself thoroughly and get into my bath robe in about ten minutes. As I stepped out into my room, I grabbed a pair of my panties, and I put on my sports bra so I wouldn't have to worry about flashing anyone by mistake.

Just as I was about to exit my room, my aunt forced open my door, shoving some pop-tarts into my hand. "Eat those quickly. I don't want to waste anytime." I groaned and stopped.

"Auntie, please, let me wake up fully and say good morning to my father and brothers before you start anything." With a pout she nodded, staying on my heels as I danced down the stairs. "Good morning dad!" I sang, running to him and wrapping my arms around him.

"Okay, now that was cute!" Emmet said as I looked up to see my father smiling brightly.

"Good Morning sweetie." He said, his voice sounding drowned in happiness. I smiled and went even further and wrapped my arms around him like a daughter would when giving a hug. He tensed up for a second but reciprocated. It was only seconds later that I heard a clicking sound and turned to see my aunt Rosalie taking a photo. I sighed, there was no way to argue and ask her to delete the photo, she wouldn't listen anyways.

It was then that I walked over towards my brothers at the table, where they also sat eating pop-tarts and I took a seat with them. "Good morning guys!"

"You're in a really good mood sis." Darien said, s smirk on his lips. "Good morning to you too." I couldn't help but smile at him before taking a bite. I looked up towards my other brother, Mason, and I noticed that he was looking very down. I glanced at Darien and apparently he noticed this too. I wanted to ask what was wrong, but I didn't want to push anything. Thankfully, my brother brought it up instead of me.

"Hey, bro, what's going on?" Mason looked up, his eyes first showing his true emotion, and then he seemed to be changing his facial expression, as if to make it seem like we were just seeing things. He did this a lot if he had something on his mind, but didn't want to bring it up. "Don't change it, I see what you're doing." Darien said as he and I comfortingly placed our hands on his hands. "Please, you can trust us." Just then, I saw my father and family come into the room, worry on their faces. Mason looked up and shook his head.

"I know... I know I can trust all of you. I'm just worried about what you'll think of me afterwards." Our father then walked towards the table and turned his chair towards Mason.

"Mason," He started gently. "What is it? We promise that nothing you have to say will change what we think about you. What is it?" Mason hesitated before releasing a deep breath.

"Well..." He seemed to be struggling. "Darien and Renesmee, you know how you both have dates to prom?" Darien and I nodded. "Well, so do I." I smirked.

"What's so bad about that?" My brother grimaced.

"It's not bad... just, my date is a male. I'm gay." My eyes widened as did everyone elses, but not in disapproval. I smiled again.

"That's awesome!" I got up and hugged my brother. "What's his name? Is he our age?" With my happiness, my brothers attitude seemed to have perked up and he was happy as he thought. Everyone else was happy for him to and I could feel it.

"I would love to know who this young man is. He's got to be pretty special to you if he owns your heart." Our father said, a loving smile upon his lips.

"His name is Felix Waters." Mason said, absolutely glowing. "He's taller than me by a couple inches. His hair is pitch black and his eyes are the most magnificent aquamarine color. He's amazing! He asked me to prom and I happily said yes. He's coming here to get me later. I'm so happy you all approve." I looked at my family and all of them had bright smiles.

"Of course. We love you. We wouldn't ever turn you away because of something like that. We can't wait to meet him." Our father said, turning his attention towards Darien. "You taking someone to prom?" My brother nodded.

"I'm taking a friend of mine. Her name is Hazel Lockwood." I nodded.

"What does she look like?" I asked, my brother blushed.

"She's very beautiful. Her hair is a natural mixture of fire red and red velvet. Her eyes are almost the color of lilac... I can't even explain how beautiful she is." It was then that Alice chimed in.

"And you're only going as friends?!" She asked, almost repulsed.

"Yes, I'm too nervous to put it beyond that right now..." Just as I put the last piece of pop-tart in my mouth, my aunt picked my up out of my chair and threw me over her shoulder. I fought and thrashed, but she didn't budge. Instead she maneuvered me until I was straight up, demanding that I hurry and brush my teeth. I did as she said and it was almost as if she had been listening in because as I finished, she grabbed me up and ran me into her special room, sitting me in a chair where a gallery of makeup sat before. How much makeup does this woman have?!

As My aunt was pulling my hair back into a ponytail, her way of keeping it out of my face, my brothers came into the room to help keep my company. As we talked, we asked a bunch of questions back and forth. Eventually we were back to Mason. "So, Mason, I'm just curious, what made you realize that you were gay?" I asked. He didn't hesitate to answer me.

"Well, on the first day to school, I was pretty lonely that day, seeing as I didn't really have class with any of you. Then this really nice guy names Felix began talking with me and we found that we have a lot on common. So much in fact that I and apparently he began to develop feelings for each other. It wasn't until a little bit before this month that I realized this, but eventually I began to notice how excited I was to see him everyday and how I would marvel at his amazing appearance... Remember this past weekend? When I was gone for the whole weekend?" I nodded. "I had stayed at his house with him... that where our first kiss happened." My brother sat there, speaking passionately about his new boyfriend. I was so happy and proud of him.

"Does he know what we are?" Darien asked. Mason shook his head.

"Not exactly. He knows that I'm different, but I haven't completely told him how or why, though I do hope to tell him some day." Our aunt smiled happily as she delicately began putting foundation on my face, not adding too much.

"Well... what about you Darien? Does your girl know?" He shook his head as well. "If we ever decide to go out someday, then I will tell her, but for now, we are just friends."

"Sure Sure." Our aunt said, all of our laughter combining quickly. Since we were having great conversation, I didn't mind this. I was actually happy and at ease. Mom... wish me luck to not trip and fall at prom with Jake.

Darien's POV

Eventually our aunt had kicked my brother and I out of the room, simply saying that Renesmee had to finish getting ready, seeing as she only had forty-five minutes left. In a way, I felt bad for my sister... having to get all that makeup done. Though, we took the time that our aunt was taking to finish getting our sister ready to get ready ourselves. With a quick nod, we headed to our bathrooms, but not after getting our suits and our other things ready and situated.

While in my bathroom and stepping into the shower, I began to think about our mother. It still stung once and a while when I thought about her, but it was slowly becoming easier and easier. But that wasn't what I had been thinking of. In fact, I had been thinking of what our mother would have said to Mason's confession. She would have been so happy and hugged him so tightly. I knew her. What made thinking about her right now sad, was that I knew that she wouldn't be here to see this. Shut up! She is here, I just can't see her.

I decided that I needed to stop thinking so negatively or else this night wouldn't be any fun for me or the girl I was going to be accompanying. As I stepped out, I took care in drying off and blow drying my hair. Afterwards, I grabbed my hair gel to construct my favorite and more formal hairstyle.

After I knew everything was perfect and I brushed my teeth, I stepped out and changed in front of my mirror. Didn't want the outfit I was getting myself in to meet any disapproval from my aunts. I chuckled to myself, imagining them cringing if even a tiny, microscopic wrinkle was in the suit.

After getting my shoes on, I walked out. Seems my brother and I had finished getting ready together and we bumped into each other on the way down. "You're looking very nice Mason. I'm sure Felix will love it." Mason blushed.

"Thanks. I hope so." I shook my head laughing.

"No, I know so." As if to add extra reassurance, I wrapped my arm around my brother and patted him on the shoulder as we made our way downstairs. Our Uncle Emmet's wolf-whistle sounded as we reached the bottom. My brother and I looked up to see everyone smiling appreciatively.

"Now look at those two hot shots!" In response my brother and I nodded at each other and did the James Bond stand with the false gun in hand, back to back just in time for our aunt to take the picture. Laughter rang until we heard the front door open. Jacob came around the corner in a white button up and dress jeans. My uncles actually cringed at that. "Jacob, do you not have a suit?" He shook his head. Without hesitation, Emmet took him upstairs and found him a suit that was his size. Seeing as Jacob's hair was really long now, down to a couple inches below his shoulders. Dad didn't like it very much, but Jacob had done it for Renesmee seeing as she loved it so much.

"Looking spiffy." I said to my sisters boyfriend, grabbing a hair tie out of the nearby powder room. "Here, just so Alices doesn't try to do your hair." Jacob laughed and thanked me gratefully.

"Hey Darien, what time are we picking up this girl of yours?" Uncle Emmet asked. I shook my head.

"She said she was getting a ride here with her friend, who just happens to be Mason's boyfriend... She said she didn't want to cause too much trouble... she reminds me of mom in that instance." I looked at dad and he chuckled, seeming to agree.

"Renesmee! What's your bra size?" We heard Alice ask. The only reason we heard this was because this was the first time any noise came from that room.

"A 32ff!" Our sister answered. Uncle Emmet's eyes widened.

"Dude... who did your daughter get that from?" He asked, seriously curious now. Our dad thought for a moment.

"Had to have been from my biological mother... Bella was a larger size, but not that large... had to have been my mother's genes..." After that, we all just kind of looked at each other awkwardly while Jake was grinning. I could feel was he thinking, I didn't have the power for doing that, it was just instinctual. He seemed glad, this is the first time he knew her true size. I rolled my eyes. I too was a man and have often thought about Hazel... we're hopeless. I laughed.

"How about we go with skin colored undergarments? That way no colors will show through the dress?" Alice asked quietly.

"Sounds like a plan." After that we didn't hear any more until after we heard Renesmee gasp in what sounded like happiness. "This dress, it's so beautiful. I look amazing! Thank you!"

"This dress on you actually accentuates your assets, Rosalie and I knew what we were doing..." Alice mused happily. We all looked at Rosalie, our father scowling.

"What? How was I supposed to know it would do that that well?" She did have a point.

"Great! It accentuates everything, like I really need that." After that comment, we all laughed. Though our laughter ceased when we heard Alice say, "You're perfect! You're ready, now let's go show them."

Edward's POV

"Please! I can't!" Renesmee said, her nervousness obvious in her tone. Alice just giggled.

"Honey, Jacob is down there, I'm sure he's excited to see you, and don't you want to meet this nice boyfriend of Mason's?" Alice had definitely trapped Renesmee, knowing very well that Renesmee would never want to miss out on the chance to meet someone who was dating her brother. Almost in a defeated sigh, Renesmee began making her way down before us and we were all blown away. Her dress was a beautiful forest green, the dress fit her perfectly.

I was stuck in a moment of slightly sadness, my little girl was almost an adult... 'She's so beautiful... I almost want to cry.' Jacob's thoughts said loud and clear. As soon as Renesmee was on the floor, Jacob met her halfway, looking at her with deep admiration. I made me laugh a little to myself, the way he was looking at her reminded me of how I looked at Bella what I first saw her in her dress. "Hi." Renesmee said, a giggle in her voice.

"H-Hi... You look... Beautiful." He said, almost as if he were quietly declaring that.

"Thanks... You too... wait, Handsome, not beautiful.. You know what I mean." Renesmee said, almost flustered. Emmet and Jasper chuckled and that seemed to remind Renesmee that were were right here. Renesmee looked at me with a smile. "What do you think daddy?" She asked in her little girl voice. I smiled.

"You're very beautiful. You... You remind me of your mother." Renesmee smiled even wider and her eyes watered a little bit.

"I look like mom?" I nodded and hugged her.

"It's almost like I'm looking at her, but through a different person." I tightened my arms around her, smiling a little.

"Thanks dad." I nodded and in that moment, I took the time to bring all three of my children into my arms, hugging them close to me before Alice walked up to me.

"Hey Edward, I was thinking... it's your turn to be the dad in public... So, allow me age you." I raised an eyebrow at her in confusion. "Please, this way you can have a turn at this." With a sigh, Alice ran upstairs and did a couple minor things and eventually when I looked in the mirror, I did look older. Not too old, but just old enough to have three seventeen year old children. I smiled, liking to see how I would look if I had been near forty.

"Looking good old man!" Emmet joked. Turning I scowled at him, but he was right, I was the old man in the group, temporarily. After meeting Alice's approval, she went over to Carlisle and Esme and after their agreeing, she aged them to be grandparents. They looked like those adorable grandparents that you see in those movies. They seemed to enjoy the role, except with having Emmets teasing. Rosalie, Emmet, Jasper, and Alice were already ready for prom seeing as they were going. I stood there, wishing I could hold Bella in my arms again, but I knew that was impossible. When they left and Carlisle and Esme go hunting, I would take my chance to pray to Bella. Even if she couldn't hear me, I would do what I could.

I was once again broken out of my thoughts when I heard a car pulling up on the drive way. I turned my attention towards my sons, smiling happily. "It's them." Darien confirmed, a smile on his face as we all watched Mason's face brighten intensely. We could hear heavy metal music blasting in the car and Mason's eyes widened.

"Really Felix?" Mason said under his breath. I smiled, everyone has their own taste in music so I didn't mind so much. Carlisle looked at us and offered to get the door when two people were making their way up the porch and knocked. It was hilarious watching Esme and Carlisle practice walking even slower than usual, but we had to keep our appearances. I smiled at everyone as Carlisle practiced his older man voice. They were only posing at grandparents of about mid fifties, but they had to age their voices a little.

"Hello, you two must be... Hazel and Felix, right? Mason and Darien have told us about you. Please, come on in." With slower walking, they entered and all of us were shocked to say the least, but not in a bad way whatsoever. Darien and Mason moved forwards towards their dates.

I took a look over Hazel and Felix. Felix was pretty tall and his hair really was pitch black. The shocking thing about it was that his ears had black plugs in his stretched ears and he had a lip piercing. He was very nicely dressed. I also noticed a tattoo in his inner wrist. I would have to ask him about that. Hazel was a very pretty girl. She was about a foot shorter than Darien. Her hair really was a mixed red velvet and fire red, not only that, but her eyes were an astonishing shade of lilac purple. Hazel also had plugs in her ears, but they were a shade of white. Over all they seemed like very good children.

"You look great Mason." Felix said, pinning a flower to my sons tuxedo. I looked at my family and they smiled happily. I decided to wait quietly.

"Dad, Grandparents, This is my boyfriend Felix." Mason said, glowing. Felix walked up to me, his hand extended, his tattoo very visible now. With a smile on my face, I shook his hand.

"Hello Felix. I speak for all of us when I say that we're very pleased to meet you. Mason has told us a lot about you." Felix smiled, his bright white teeth showing me a prism of color.

"It's very nice to meet you to sir." He said, his tone very respectful. I eyed his tattoo once more and it seemed as if Felix knew that I saw even though I looked and looked away quickly. I decided to ask seeing as he caught me. His tattoo was simple and was of a beautiful rosary around his wrist with two names underneath.

"If I may ask, what is this tattoo?" I asked kindly. The boy smiled sadly.

"Well, I got this tattoo on my sixteenth birthday for my mother and father. They were both killed in car crash."

"I'm so sorry." I said apologetically. Felix nodded but sighed.

"It's alright. It was a bit ago... I'm also sorry about your wife also. Mason told me that his mother and your wife passed from cancer. If I can be completely honest, Mason has helped me get through the depression I was in. I am very happy and feel very lucky to have met your son Mr. Cullen." Mason blushed a little and smiled at Felix. With a smile to me, Felix turned towards Mason, bowing and taking his hand in his own. "My dear Mason, what do you say to going and making this prom the best one yet?" This was one of the cutest interactions I had ever seen Mason take part in, it made me happy. I then went to turn my attention to Ms. Lockwood and she smiled at me.

"Hello Mr. Cullen. I'm Hazel Lockwood. It's very nice to meet you sir." I smiled warmly at her.

"It's very nice to meet you dear. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and Mason both in the near future." She smiled. "Now go on, enjoy yourselves!" I exclaimed happily.

"Thanks sir."

"Thanks dad, see you later." After they all left, hand in hand with each other and after my parents left, after removing the makeup of course, I walked into my room and sat in front of my Bella's shrine and I looked at the picture of her next to her beautiful urn. The picture was of her smiling and her hand was woven inside of her thick brown, mahogany, red mixture of hair.

"Bella? I don't know if you can hear me... but if you can, maybe, could you give me a sign that you're with me?" I waited for a moment and I felt tears threatening to overflow, but in my vampire form, it was the familiar stinging on the eyes when you cried that I felt. "Please... Bella... I miss you so much." I whimpered. "Please..." I sighed and I was stopped by feeling what felt like a warmth surround me, almost like arms were wrapping around me and I could swear that I heard a very faint 'I'm here Edward.' I gasped in shock, but smiled. 'I'm listening.' I heard. She really was here, wasn't she?

"I miss you my love. I wish I could hold you in my arms once more and kiss you. I miss feeling your enveloping warmth.." I cried. It wasn't until I felt wetness on my cheek that I noticed that my venom was overflowing, taking on the characteristic of real tears. "I really regret it, leaving you like I did. If I hadn't, you'd still be here... When watching our children leave for prom, it reminded me so much of how you and I were." I sighed happily once more. "I just... I don't really know what all to say other than I wish you were here and I wish that I could feel you with me physically... If I could sleep and if I could dream, I would wish that you would visit me. If only that were possible..." I sighed once more. "Sorry, I know, my thoughts aren't very collected like they usually are. I just... I wish I could hear your voice again... I wish I could feel your warmth again."

I closed my eyes, resting my head upon my hand, just in time for me to feel a warmth surround me once more and I felt what felt like a small dainty hand press against my cheek. 'Edward... I'll always be here with you. I've never once left you or our children. Please, understand that I tried my hardest to stay. If I had a second chance... I would have done things differently. Please, continue to take care of them. I love you very much, never forget that. I'll never leave, I'll watch over you forever, I promise.' With that, I felt what almost felt a light kiss on my cheek and then I was able to open my eyes.

"Bella?" I smiled, touching my fingers to where the kiss sensation still lingered. "Thank you. I'll continue to care for them. Though I do hope that someday, they will no longer need me and I can some day join you." I said, smiling and going towards my bed, but not before blowing out the candles for her shrine for the night. "Good night my sweet." I said, and made my way to the bed. Obviously not to sleep, but to lean back and think about all the things that were happening now. Just hearing Bella's voice in my thoughts had brightened my spirits and made me soar higher than anything else.

Renesmee's POV

As we exited the car, I could hear the blazing music from inside the prom building, smiling to myself when Jake gently squeezed my hand reassuringly. "You ready to have fun?" He asked and I giggled.

"Of course." Slowly and romantically, Jake led me towards the photo section where are the couples were able to take their pictures together that would be in the yearbook. Afterwards, walking into the dance area was like walking into a room full of claustrophobia. I was nervous, but I liked it a lot. It was eventually that the dancing turned into a storm of humans around me. I wasn't thirsty by any means, but soon it almost became overwhelming.

While Jake was grabbing punch for the two of us, I gestured towards the gazebo in the back that had lots of twinkle lights wrapped around it. It was so beautiful, and it was completely empty. As I walked out, I saw the bright clear sky, the moon shining brightly, mom was watching over us right now, I just know it. She always did like the moon. Leaning down against one of the railings, I looked into the starry sky. "Hi mommy... I miss ya. It's been long, but great day. I can't even begin to tell you how great of a day." I looked back into the prom building to see Masen leaning into Felix as Felix placed a kiss upon his cheek. I smiled widely, and then saw Jake making his way. I looked back towards the sky. "Anyways... I guess I'll tell you all about it when I see you again. I and you both know that won't happen for a long time, but we'll have a lot to catch up on." Jake placed our drinks on the railing next to me before wrapping his arms gently around me. "Love you mom," I turned towards Jake, looking at him to say it too. He smirked.

"Love ya Bells, see ya around, best buddie." He said, both of us raising our punch glasses and taking a sip. This night had great and emotional things in it, but it was something that I was actually glad I hadn't missed.
